My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
We purchased an LG Washing Machine at the Home Depot on Sixes Road in Holly Springs, It was delivered on a Wednesday afternoon. After doing two loads of laundry, on Friday, a code appeared on the washer; IE. The machine couldn't finish the cycle. I looked up the code in the handbook, and apparently, one of the water faucets (located in the back of the machine) was not fully open. We called LG and got nowhere. They put me on eternal hold, and after 20 minutes, I realized no one was ever going to pick up. Needless to say, I was quite upset. Just bought a new washer, and it didn't work? I called Home Depot, and spoke with Ann Marie, our salesperson. She was very professional and transferred me to the Manager, Bill Horner. I told him what happened with LG, and explained that the connections were in the back, and we couldn't possibly move the machine to access them. He told me he would call me back in about 20 minutes. And guess what? He did call me back. He told me that he couldn't find an available installer to check out the problem. However, he would come out the next day (Saturday) to help us. OK, so I was a bit skeptical, and didn't think he would come by. But guess what? He did. He actually moved the washer by himself. Turns out, the faucets weren't complete opened. So, not enough water was coming through. He also waited through the entire cycle to make sure the machine was working. I would give 100 stars if I could!
Delivery process was very unorganized and delivery reps were rude and unprofessional. The home depot and the delivery company should be more organized. Home depot and the delivery company should be on the same page. The day after my in-store purchase a representative called requesting that an adult be home between 1pm and 5pm for delivery and that they would call before they come. There was no phone call and delivery came early. According to Home Depot the delivery company should install and make sure the machine works properly, they did not do that. The delivery man said that Home Depot would call us to organize appointment for installation. No one called. We called the Home depot where purchase was made every day for 2 weeks; each time we were put on hold and call was disconnected every time. Finally, we called an 800 number where a representative (Jennifer) was able to help. She had the delivery company call us. We set up an appoint for delivery, they said we would get a call before delivery, but again no phone call prior to delivery. During purchase we signed a contract and paid for the delivery company to discard the wrapping and the old machine, but the delivery man said the company will send someone else for that. When that person came he was very rude and unprofessional. He took the machine, but not the wrapping. When I asked about the wrapping he said, he'll do me the favor of taking it, but he isn't supposed to take it. I will not refer the Home Depot to anyone and will definitely not make any other purchase of this caliber at the Home Depot
On Friday January 18th, 2019 I went to my local Home Depot store located at ******* Roy Rogers Dr in Victorville, California. I went to the toilet seat section to make a purchase. I was then approached by two men, one whom appeared to be white and Mexican(Store Manager) and another white associate. They then said to me, "One of my associates pointed you out saying that you had a whole bunch of cleaning supplies and denied showing the receipt of your purchase."
They then asked me to leave and told me that I can no longer shop there. I then proceeded to tell them that this was my first time in the store today. The manage then stated that he will check the cameras.
I have numerous issues with this situation and the way it was handled.
The first being, the associate should have notified the manager when said issue happened with whomever it happened with and the cameras should have been reviewed at that time, prior to making FALSE accusations.
Second, Being a BLACK man in America, the intimidation and humiliation I experienced for something that I did not do does not sit well with me.
I need to be contacted by The CEO in order to resolve this issue, this should have never happened and I refuse to let it happen again to an innocent person, whether they are black, white, purple, or yellow.
On 10/23/17 I contracted with a salesman from Home Depot in Jersey City, NJ to repair my roof. A few days later an inspector came by to access the damage which in my opinion should have been done before giving me a price to do the repairs. After checking out the roof the inspector wanted ME to have some pieces of wood replaced BEFORE Home Depot would fix the roof. This contract was for $21,000 and did not include this. After I made a down payment of almost $9,000 Home Depot did not contact me for about a week and when they did they told me that they had cancelled my contract and would not give me an explanation as to why they did so. In addition to cancelling my contract, Home Depot only returned half on my deposit to my checking account about a week later. When I cancelled my credit card with them a few days later they returned half of my deposit to my checking account and when I asked when the rest of my money would be returned their excuse was that they could only return it by check and that it would take approximately 3 weeks to do so.
I ordered a DEWALT Mobile Work Station from Homedepot.com BEFORE Christmas. Inside the box was a STANLEY work station. Unfortunately this wasn't discovered before my husband opened the box for Christmas. I didn't know I had to inspect the brand name on the sticker or the product. My options are to return it to the store and then reorder it online and it would be 6 WEEKS before I could get that product again and they couldn't reserve it for me, even though I already ordered THAT product, I'd have to call back and order it again at a later time, OR my other option is to put the box on the porch for the UPS guy to pick up within 5 days (and hope no one steals it from my porch in the meantime) and then wait for it to be received back at their warehouse and then wait another 3-5 days for a refund of my money, THEN place the order again if I still wanted it. Complete BS.
Bought a dishwasher from Home depot. From the minute I placed an order, it was a nightmare, first they gave me the wrong one, had to go back to the store to cancel and get the one I had originally ask for. Get it delivered. The delivery/ installer barely look at it and said your floor is uneven and the plug is too short. First of all. 3 dishwashers have been taken in and out of that space never an issue, 2nd of all not my fault you make your plug barely a foot long to reach the outlet. Had a 72 yr contractor look at my floor and the dishwasher, that this delivery guy said he couldn't move, contractor lowered the feet in the front of the dishwasher and pull it right out. In order to do what this guy wanted I would have had to put in a whole new floor and new counter top because he was just too lazy to do his job. So I'm in the process of canceling the dishwasher over the phone got the run around and now told I have to go back to the store for the third time in order to get a full refund. What kind of business are you running here. Even people I spoke to over the phone just couldn't be bothered. I will never ever buy anything from home depot again.
Tip for consumers:
Never buy from Home Depot in Levittown, NY

I bought a brand new $808 Samsung dishwasher for my tenant's apartment, which delivered on 8/26/2023. It appeared to be a perfect match, however the repair guy on 8/31/2023–the soonest he could install this NEW dishwasher—stated there would be some challenges. I ordered a new dishwasher with absolute assumed confidence that I would be able to return the NEW Samsung, but online customer care, the store and CORPORATE customer care all said that there is only a 48hr return window with no exceptions. I pleaded with them stating it was new and all of them like unified robots said there was nothing they could do. I asked why 48hrs and like unified robots they quoted the 48hr return policy. Thanks executives at Home Depot for enacting a horrible return policy that keeps money in your pocket and screws good standing people. I will do everything in my power to give business to Amazon, Lowe's and other companies that values my business and has a REASONABLE return policy. Hoping you can make this right.
I ordered a LG washer and dryer on September 9 and it is December 24th and I still don't have a working washer and dryer. I have spent hours on the phone. The first washer they brought was dented so I refused delivery. I was to have another in a week. Well it never came. Every time I called they gave me a date and even said it was on the truck, but it never arrived. After two months the operator cancelled the order and placed another. That one arrived on November 30th. It had a horrible chemical smell inside. When they put the dryer on top of the washer, the cord wouldn't reach the outlet. The cord either has to be replaced or outlet moved. The machines have never been pushed all the way into the laundry closet and the last repairman informed me the closet is not deep enough. The installer assured me they would fit or I would not have accepted delivery. Home depot and LG pass responsibility back and forth with great dexterity. This review is about home depot but LG is no better to deal with. So long story short I still don't have laundry facilities
Tip for consumers:
Don't shop at home depot unless you have lots of time and patience and don't care if they ever get it right.

*if* you can find someone on the floor, they're knowledgeable and helpful... Lowe's gets five stars because it's not as hard to find help.
I've been a customer for years and am pretty happy with my purchases. Had to return an item, with no hassles. Can't beat their pricing
Went to home depot ant they opened up 2 accounts. They wont let me combine them. Now i pay double the interest. Is this intentional?
Tip for consumers:
Dont let them open up a second or third account.

Prices are pretty good. Service is o. K. but beware of the people they hire to come and install or do whatever you are needing.
Homedepot has awesome deals on their website and with the lockers it's now easier to pick-up orders without waiting in line or dealing with a rep.
Great tools, gardening stuff, you name it. I also like that there are self-checkouts so the line goes faster. Employees are really nice too.
Love shopping Home Depot. It's also the closest store of it's kind. If you have anything to return there has never been a problem.
This is a great website for your DIY needs. I enjoy coming here just to see what I can do around the house.
Love this store and prices. Has a lot of things that are also at Lowes but HomeDepot has so much better service.
I just brought a brand new washer from them and it has been great. I always find reliable stuff at home depot.
My husband is the prime example of this! While I start the tasks, he finishes them for me. What a great relationship.
Extremely disappointed in Home Depot and the way they handled this situation...
I ordered these exact floors on May 9th 2020 for $0.04 a sq ft. I was shocked and excited to find floors for this price so I ordered immediately. I knew it had to be a mistake but it's not my mistake nor should it be my problem. I should get what i paid for. Instead, my order was canceled (NOT by me). Annoyed I called customer service and after waiting on hold for an hour (literally) I finally talked to a very nice customer service representative. She couldn't really help me so I asked if I could talk to someone above her, she put me on hold and eventually had me in contact with someone who I thought could help. KIM (I didn't get a last name) basically told me this issue was a vendor error and that they, the vendor, canceled my order. I asked how is it a vendor error? A price mistake on Home Depots website is an error on Home Depot and they should honor the price they have posted. I should get the floors for the price I paid. We went back and forth and she told me the same stuff over and over, never helping. "Home Depot strives for 100% satisfaction and accuracy but sometimes it just can't be done". I was eventually HUNG UP on by KIM. I never raised my voice or cussed. I am just trying to get what i paid for. This is not my mistake, it's Home Depots and they should own up to their mistake and make it right. They have it posted on their site that they honor price adjustments, that's a lie. I just want what i ordered for the price I originally ordered them for.
The difference of night and day. Lowes has bad customer service, poor loaders and low scale materials. Home Depot, complete opposite

I want to thank the manager in the appliance department of home depot in Vauxhall NJ. On 7/9 I went to get a refund and purchase a fridge (mine went out after 13 yrs). I have alway purchased mine and my families appliances at Home Depot for the last 13 plus years. The day before there was a sale and the sale ended on the 8th, I asked if they can assist anyway with a discount since I was exchanging my fridge for a more expensive model. Short story the answer was no, so I attempted to use my veterans discount. The young lady wanted to give me a $2.53 discount instead of my 10% discount on a $2,899. Fridge. She cited the fact that if there was a promotional sale then the discount according to her could not be given. When I pointed out the sale ended she shrugged and walked away. I then found the fridge at Sears online for $2,604, asked them to match the price that was also a no by Mr. Kelly. Short story the main office did offer to match the price. But after being in Home Depot for over 3 hours I was tired and went home. I want to Thank Mr. Kelly for denying me both my veterans discount and the price match. I was able to get the upgraded model at Sears for $2772. That included delivery and take away. That same refrigerator was being sold at Home Depot for $3499. Then I purchased my dishwasher at a lower cost as well at Searsl. So again a wholehearted thank you Mr. Kelly. The take away after purchasing both my family's and mine appliances, etc at Home Depot for over 13 years, I will now find another store. By the way my husband is a contractor and does more than $50K sales at Home Depot annually.
Tip for consumers:
Price match before you purchase from Home Depot! You'll get better deals elsewhere and probably better customer service.

Not a thing and will no longer get my appliances from your store. Even the gentleman that I normally assist me with my purchases that I saw when I re-entered my store wondered why I couldn't get my Veterans discount. He told me to speak to the Manager Kelly and I said that is who denied both my price match and my discount. All I can say is I love Pat he is the best!
