My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
One stop shopping for all the home and kitchen improvement items. Huge variety of items at great prices.
Their website showing you exactly what aisle and bay the product is in makes shopping their so easy!
I like Home Depot, the workers are friendly, and you can find anything you could possibly need here.
Site is easy to navigate and find stuff. I like the reviews for individual products. I usually buy online and pickup in store. Smooth transactions.
Home Depot fired me of stupid stuff bad place to work at don't apply there managers there are mean and rude not helpful to people
I don't know what's happened to your customer service in the last 5 years, but It never occurred to me that I would have to file a disputer with PayPal to achieve some kind of satisfaction. Your agents may be the most deceitful, incompetent group of liars I've ever been associated with.
Issues since delivery:
1. Home Depot scheduled the delivery for 5/5.
2.Home Deport cancelled the delivery, stating that they didn't have a truckbig enough to deliver the refrigerator
3. Home Depot rescheduled thedelivery.
4. Home Deport cancelled the delivery, stating that there was no
Way to get to our with a large enough truck, due to low overpasses.
5.Home Depot delivered refrigerator but refused to take the old refrigerator because it wouldn't fit on truck.
6. Home Depot re-scheduled pickup of old refrigerator.
7. Home Deport cancelled pickup of old refrigerator, fallen
Stating that it was a "built in" model, which it is not.
8. Based upon continued purposeful deception by Home Depot, called on 5/12 to request return of purchased refrigerator.
9. After 2 hours on phone with Home
Depot to request pickup, was hung up on
It's a great place to grab things for a quick DIY project. It would have been a 5 star if prices were always competitive but it is worth the trip.
The Home Depot close to us has a good variety of products but the sales people do not know much about their products and it is hard to get help.
Today home depot delivered and installed my new Samsung stove and matching overhead microwave and LG dishwasher appliances. I probably wouldnt be so disappointed had I not paid extra for installation. During the install of the microwave for some reason the guy drilled a hole in my cabinets even though the outlet for the microwave is clearly visible on the wall, then he doesnt secure the microwave and it falls hitting my counter top and denting the microwave. I had to tell him I didnt want the microwave and take it out. Then he installs the stove, well sort of he connected the gas and he was leaving. I had to follow him out the door and ask him to make the stove level with the counter. The dishwasher well its not level either and they didn't install the bottom plate or leave it for me to install. AND had I not asked of the manuals I wouldnt have any. Ive called and notified the Home Depot I purchased everything from and let them know I will not allow their install service to install anything in my home again. I get it, its Friday and they cant really do or tell me anything till Monday. But right now Im considering canceling the microwave and just ordering one from Amazon.
I like this place, I get most of my tools here and they are all over the place. Seems to be lower than Lowe's
Heres the thing people and please don not forget this: WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE DO IT YOURSELF /CONTRACTOR SUPPLY STORES.
We are talking about ONLINE SHOPPING. That is one of the stupidest things EVER.
Heres how I came to that conclusion. I AM A CONTRACTOR and this year began to do estimates BASED UPON THE ONLINE STORE PAGE PRICES.
That was/is a total mess.
DID YOU KNOW THAT 1/2 OF EVERYTHING YOU FIND IN THE ONLINE STORE IS N-O-T AVAILABLE AT ANY ACTUAL STORE?
You try going into a Home Depot to get a tool or material component that you had looked at the night before and figuring it was AN EVERYDAY ITEM...
And after a tormenting search in the store you discover... ITS ONLINE ONLY.
And over a 4 month period it got stupider and stupider as the things I looked up that would be HORRIFIC TO FIGURE AS A MAIL ITEM...
Were the most likely ones to be online only.
I am talking about EVERY DAY, sell hundreds of weekly tools and materials... LIKE CERTAIN LUMBER.
I did a design for a deck and went to the store to pick up the lumber for the plans and guess what...
IT WAS ONLINE ONLY> REALLY? How are you gonna buy a pickup truck worth of pressure treated planks in CYBERSPACE? Am I building a website of a freaking deck.
IF THIS WAS ONLY FOR ODDBALL ITEMS, SPECIALTY TOOLS, PROMOTIONAL SPECIALS and such like, it would be fine.
Instead its a mess of idiocy.

On Jun 17,2003, I placed an online order for a refrigerator through the Home Depot website, eagerly anticipating its delivery by Temco Logistics. Unfortunately, the first delivery attempt turned out to be an utter failure. When the delivery person arrived at my apartment, they glanced inside and abruptly left, stating that they would return shortly. Regrettably, the delivery person never returned, leaving me and my family bewildered and without any explanation.
Concerned about this incident, I immediately contacted Home Depot's customer service, seeking assistance and clarification. I was assured by your representative that the subsequent delivery would be handled by a more experienced team to avoid any further issues. However, to my dismay, the second delivery attempt was also a complete failure. The delivery personnel failed to show up at the scheduled time, despite the online system indicating that they had missed us.
Throughout this ordeal, I tried contacting Home Depot's and Temco Logistics customer service multiple times to seek clarification, express my frustration, and request a resolution to this matter. However, the level of responsiveness and assistance I received from your customer service department was alarmingly lacking. The lack of concern and support further aggravated my disappointment and dissatisfaction with Home Depot's services.
The consequences of these delivery failures were not insignificant. As we had cleared out our previous refrigerator in preparation for the new one, we were left without a functioning appliance for an extended period. The perishable food items we had stored spoiled, leading to a significant financial loss and inconvenience for my family.
Just replaced the floors for my first floor they were so helpful and we even went through them for installation, couldn't be happier!
I ordered a patio table and chairs from Home Depot on May 17th. I signed up for alerts to be sent to my phone updating me about the order. On May 19th, i received an alert that my order had shipped. I was very excited to get this table and chairs so soon! I checked the tracking email and it stated that my order would be delivered on May 22nd. I waited around the house all day on the 22nd, because i wanted to be home when it was delivered. The items were heavy and i wanted them brought to my side door and not my front door. Well, no table and chairs showed up. Repeat the same email and same schedule for me {stayed home waiting} for May 29th, June 5th, June 12th, and June 19th. Apparently Home Depot uses a company, NSD- Non Stop Delivery, to deliver their heavy items. The company has terrible reviews. Home Depot Customer Service was no help when i called them every Friday when my delivery didn't come. One CS employee put me on hold until the store closed. I finally cancelled my order because i was going to be out of town for a couple of weeks. Too late this summer to get this seasonal item, so I'll have to wait until next year to get my patio table and chairs from somewhere else.
I love Home Depot, instore or online they always come through last minute. Granted sometimes it can get busy depending on what season it is STAY CLEAR and order online.
Home Depot
The GOOD
1. Home Depot is a very good hardware store. If they'd stick to that they would be awesome. They typically have a large selection of mainstream items in both tools and hardware.
2. They finally got the self checkout experience working well.
3. They have an excellent return policy.
4. You can go to HD in the net on your phone, select your store, and then enter products and it will tell you exactly where they are in the store. Works great (almost) every time. You do NOT have to load their app to do this.
The BAD
1. While usually friendly, employees typically don't know much about their products. Don't rely on them to help you make selections.
2. If you're getting more than a few pieces of lumber, you're better off making a trip to the lumberyard.
3. If you're going to use the rental service, be aware that you are on your own. The people there do not know their equipment very well and will tell you anything. Do your homework! Know exactly what capabilities, dimensions, etc. your job requires, and research specific tools and equipment to make sure you get what you need. Take a tape measure with you to check tools, ladder heights, truck bed dimensions, etc.
4. It is not an appliance store. Just stay away from this aisle; lots of sketchy things happen in this department.
The UGLY
1. While the shopping experience is very good 96% of the time, if you ever get into a situation where you need to speak to the manager, you are already screwed. No matter how incorrect the advertised price was or how badly the rental people mislead you, you'll basically be told very nicely, "That's the way it is." This is the corporate PC version of "Bugger off, we don't care".
2. Don't even think about using their Home Services. If you're ever tempted to do so, first buy a 3# hammer and a 6" nail and with the hammer in your right hand drive the nail through your left hand; you will enjoy this more than allowing HD to do your installation.
Love coming here to the Cambie street location. Employees are always friendly. I feel like a kid in a candy store.
I don't know how to find stuff when it come on products that my husband need, but I like when someone help me and they got it. Cool service
Unfriendly and lazy staff at department of lighting. When I asked for help to find led bulb which I need, they told me to go and look by myself
I purchase a LG steam dryer from home depot in shrewsbury, the delivery was done by spirit logics, they were suppose to install water pipe for steam and vent pipe.
The person that delivered the unit quickly plug the electric outlet and ran out of the door, I looked at the dryer and I saw that they didn't connect the water, I saw that installer is leaving with a small box in his hand that came with dryer so I ran after him and said that the water is not connected, he said that you need to purchase the hose and y connector before they can install it but the sale person told me that it is included with delivery.
So I went to home depot and told them the issue and while I was there I saw the box that he took with him inside the floor sample dryer which was the pipe and y connector in it.
The sale person gave me another pipe and y connector package and call them to come back for install it.
So I decided to try the dryer and then I found out that they didn't even connect vent pipe and the whole laundry was damp.
I shut down dryer and waited for second crew to install a new vent pipe and water pipe.
When they showed up 4 days later, they said that the valve has little corrosion on it so they refused to install the water pipe. About a 8 month prior, I had the washer service, they said there are no issue with any thing so I asked them to a least replace the vent pipe with new one, when they left I looked the pipe and I saw they cut the vent pipe in half and they just taped a new pipe to it instead of replacing it.
I wish there was less than one star that I could give homedepot and spirit logics in cranking mass.
Was building a deck at my cottage and the guys on site were very patient with all my newbie questions!
I love HomeDepot, but hey, for such a big company their site should be a lot faster/smoother, no?
Cmon guys!
DO NOT USE THEIR BLINDS INSTALLATION SERVICES.
AARON (father) and JACK (his son) are thieves.
Jack a 20ish young man was welcomed into our home this early 2023 to install our blinds, from BLINDS.COM and while he was installing 24 blinds, he stole 5-6 boxes of 50 bullets from a case we had opened in our master's bedroom dresser, on the very opposite wall from the windows so he was snooping.
I felt violated, disrespected, unsafe, and very angry after this ordeal. BLINDS.COM and HOMEDEPOT just never did anything about this. This father and son from BLINDS.COM contracted by HOMEDEPOT are still in Oklahoma going in freely in your lovely houses looking to steal from you.
Yes reported to the cops, got a report number but what else? Nothing...
Please DO NOT LET ANYONE from Blinds.com blinds installers come into your lovely home they are not to be trusted!
The father and son both work at HOME DEPOT in Oklahoma. I do not know which one hence why I'm writing this review in every location to warn good hard working folks to watch out! They service our home in Edmond. Their names are AARON and the thief is JACK his 20ish yo son. He will come into your house with his backpack and a very big trash bag, and will steal from you.
LG / Home Depot BUYER BEWARE...
Purchased two LG Split AC units from Home Depot. One remote control does not work. The batteries when installed into the remote immediately get hot. I have called LG countless number of times. The runaround is amazing, CSR transfer you to the abyss, or other groups like washer, or TV etc groups, or transfer to there HVAC pros, One CSR named Paul who wins the prize for being rude, hangs up on ya, this guy should not be handling calls with humans. Sorry I'm not a pro contractor, but I am a customer who purchased LG. Scott in HVAC was a listener, asked for a manager to call me 5 days now no response. Other CSRs said they would send a remote or someone would call, no responses. It's only a remote, come on LG stop screwing the customer. Home Depot is another they tell me to go to LG, LG tells me to go to Home Depot, sorry from buying from either of you. Home Depot staff walks away. Home Depot Leadership does not respond, there CSR ignore the problem. LG Mexico support says press1 for English, technical support press 6, then there is no English. Come on Home Depot it's $30.00 remote. You took my money and leave me hanging. This is poorest of support.
Tip for consumers:
Use caution when buying from Home Depot

I ordered it on December 23,2020, they said they would deliver it on January 26,2021 but that I'd have to uninstall the old dishwasher myself before they arrived, so on January 25th, I uninstalled it and put it in the garage. On January 26ths I found out that if they hadn't sent me a delivery window on the 25th, that meant they weren't going to deliver it on the 26ths. I called customer support, they were kind an courteous, and after a long time on hold, determined that they could not delivery my dishwasher on the 26th and gave me a new delivery date of January 30th. So I reinstalled my old dishwasher, and then when on the 29ths they sent me a text notifying me that my delivery windows was 10 am to 2pm, I uninstalled my old dishwasher and put it in the garage. I was told that they would call 30 minutes before they arrive but now, at 4pm the tracker page says that there is a problem and once again I have no delivery window.
