My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
They advertiste good parts and usually have enough stock to satisfy my purchases. I'll shop there again.
This people don't even know how do their job i did renter a trencher machine doesn't work at all they still charge $100.00 for nothing
I purchased a kitchen remodel from Home Depot. The cabinets and countertops cost approximately $6000. They use GreenCraft Interiors as the installer of choice. GreenCraft came over, measured, did the plans and wrote the bid. Without dissecting the entire over inflated bid, one big ticket item included was demolition and removal of the old kitchen cabinets. GreenCraft's bid for this service was $1,780.00 There are a total of 8 cabinets. To make a long story short, I used Starburst Building Suppiy (a non profit business) to have the demolition done. Cost? $125.00. The two gentlemen they sent were clean, professional and efficient. They were here a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes, removed counters, cabinets, countertops, disconnected plumbing, appliances and swept the kitchen. GreenCraft interiors charges over $1700 for the identical service. Home Depot's manager defended their pricing policy though was unable to explain why a figure of almost $1,800 dollars was justified for one hour and 15 minutes worth of work. I am not suggesting GreenCraft is shoddy or does bad work, I have no evidence of that fact. I am suggesting however, they pad their bills, overcharge customers and have no qualms of making gigantic windfalls from unsuspecting persons. Use them with caution, review the bid, get second opinions from other contractors before you use them. GET A SECOND BID. Calls to Home Depot Assistant Store Manager Phil Goosic were unproductive. He spent the entire call defending the outrageous price and never once said "let me look into it" or anything remotely "managerial" He was the epitome of unprofessional. On a high note, I must not drag Alfonso the Kitchen Designer into this mess. He was wonderful and continues to be wonderful.
Tip for consumers:
If you use a HD sub contractor get a second bid. They pad their bills so they can pay HD their "cut" of the invoice.
This review is referencing the Home Depot location in Pittsburg, CA. Long story as short as possible, when our dishwasher was delivered, the delivery guy informed us that the cord and adapter kit they sent was not what we paid for (we paid for a 5ft cord/adapter, they sent a 3ft cord/adapter) and that these items were not long enough for him to connect everything up. He also informed us that he could not wait for us to go to our local Home Depot and purchase the 5ft cords/adapter (that we had already paid for) again. As a result, we were left with the new dishwasher in the middle of our kitchen and a hole where the old dishwasher used to be. So, I called Home Depot and was connected to a customer service rep "Dawnisha". And I use the term "customer service" very loosely in this instance. From the start of our conversation Dawnisha was rude. She didn't want to listen to anything I had to say and attempted to overtalk me as often as possible. By the end of our conversation she was d**m near belligerent. I finally asked to speak to a supervisor because it was clear that she had no intention on attempting to find a solution to the issue. After about 15 minutes on hold (I'm sure she thought I would become frustrated and hang up), she finally connected me with a supervisor (I think her name was Michelle) whose idea of a solution was to have someone place the 5ft cord/adapter on hold for us to pick up and to reschedule the installation for another 7 days out. Meanwhile, I guess we were supposed to just squeeze around the dishwasher sitting in the middle of our kitchen for another 7 days. We ended up contacting a plumber (shout out to Stephen at GM Pro Plumbing in Concord, CA) who came out within 2 hours and hooked our dishwasher up. Home Depot did refund the fee we paid for the cord/adapter (because we had to buy it again) and the installation. We still will never purchase anything from them again.
Recently decided to start building my own house so I went to home depot to get me a quote on all the material I need it where they gave me the greatest deal I couldn't refuse it was amazing so i went on with the purchase i never thought it was this easy it was like if I was in and out of the store in seconds with the greatest deal ever they make everything seem so easy for the customer they make u feel at home they are very helpful at all times a few minutes ago I went to pick up an order of material that I had pending for tommorow I know it was really late to pick up a big order of lumber at this time of the night the employees got the material ready and loaded me up as fast as they could it was almost closing time and literally almost all the employees during that shift even the manager came out to help me load up and tie down the material I really appreciate this gesture not only because you all helped me load up but because you all made sure everything safely tied up in order for me to get safe to where I was going this really made my night greatest help ever thank you
I had great difficulty in scheduling my washer delivery. The day before delivery my appointment was changed from 8 AM to 4-7 pm. I advised Home Depot and even a Manager that my association didn't allow deliveries after 6 PM. No one could help me to confirm that it would be delivered by 6. Truck came at 4, while it was raining. Driver refused to bring the washer up my driveway and into the house. I even offered to pay him an extra $40. He said he would wait 15 minutes and call me if when he left. He just left and I was left out in the cold. I reported it to Home Depot right away and asked they send the driver back since it stopped raining. They called the dispatcher of the independent delivery company and said he would not send the truck back. They wanted to reschedule but I wouldn't deal with Home Depot ever again. I cancelled my order, which they could have cared less. Employees are not empowered and worthless.
TIP: AFTER CANCELLING MY ORDER I WENT TO BRANDSMART WHERE I RECEIVED THE SAME WASHER FOR ABOUT $100 LESS AND WILL BE DELIVERED BY THERE OWN TRUCKS!
Also, Home Depot will continue to loose business to Amazon since by the time I'm given a SKU to look for in an aisle of 10,000 SKUs I could order at amazon and have the same or next day. Worst processes and customer relations of any Company I've dealt with in decades. Wasted my time but saved money at BRANDSMART!
I can spend hours just walking around this super store
But sometimes I do order online from HD and it is smooth and seamless
Most the time I find what I am looking for and there prices are better then Lowe's you got to know your prices on what you are buying
I HAD THE Bad Experience at the Home Depot in Kennewick wa ERIC the manager he was a total $#*! a dushbag racist I order a special order door they screw up with my order I when back talk to the guy that made my order he apoligize he admit he screw up tell me to go back and talk to his manager ERIC so I whent back the next day to talk to that IDIOT and tell me to take my door that it wasn't his problem also say to sale it to some one else but he wasn't gonna take it back... so that special order suposse to be an exact measurement and they gave me the standar measurement Again Erick you such a $#*! head I'll never buy anything else from any homedepot and I will pass the word to very body I know
1) Couldn't get the installation of flooring I had scheduled & confirmed a month ahead of flying across the country to refurbish my in-laws house prior to sale. I was forced to find a tile contractor and install the laminate/baseboards myself. Found that material was grossly overestimated fans would have been not only charges for material but also labor that would not have been done. Cabinet refining excluded the exposed edge of the face frame. Had to purchase and install edge laminate. Took 2 days and had to pay a helper.
2) Took a Toro has weed-eater multi-head for repair. They had it for 2 months -kept saying "waiting for parts". Finally took it back, got new carburetor kit online and fixed it myself.
3) ordered a stacking washer/dryer and paid for installation. Went day before installation to store to measure for dryer vent & noticed a staking assembly on the store units. When I asked the assoc about it because it wasn't listed in my order she said yes it is needed and has to be purchased separately. But they don't stock them. Found one 20 miles away at a different store and had it for installation. They come and say "since it wasn't purchased at HD we can't install it. Dryer is still sitting in garage with the gas line and dryer vent I purchased as part of installation price.
4) Bought an EGO mower from HD. While under warranty the self-propelled mechanism goes out. EGO says to take it to HD, so I do. I check back in 2 weeks and they "can't find it". A few days later they find it and send it out. A month goes by and I hear crickets so I stop to check on it. I eventually get the phone # and CSA # for HD off-site repair center. After a week I call them for status and they say they haven't received it yet and will have a manager look into it. So it's been about 2 months and no mower. If I didn't have access to another, my HOA would be all over me and I would have had to hire a service -which would be several hundred $$$ to this point.
I guess when you pay people $10/hr, they really don't give a damn about customer service.
I bought a tool at Home Depot, and when I returned it broken, with my receipt - they wouldn't take it back
I paid for concrete mix. I have picked 10 bags. 32 were left to pick it up at later date. By the time I cam back to do a pick up some guy Stepen assistant manager in Bullhead City AZ was totally empty headed that you literally could not listen to him. From excuse that I already got refund, then that I have picked all bags, then that there is no more stock available today, then go to another store to get it, then I will give yoiu refund and at the and three isno refun. Shh I forgot I was sent refund for 3 bags out of 32 I didn't pick up. Next I called store manager ADAM and I requested meeting face to face. I told him I will be there in 45-60 minutes. He told me he is there untill 3PM. When I showed there within 50 minutes I was told he went to lunch. Noone could get in touch with him. What a crap. I have been there to pick up merchandise that I paid for and I had not gotten it. No money no respect no knowledge how and who to speak, then I called customer service and they told me I can go and pick up refun. After I drove there twice and have to go there third time. It cost me and extra to pay for gas $40 half a day driving back and forth no compensation lots of disrespect and waisted time and I had to buy additional merchandise from another store and extra bags at higher price. You dont do that to the loyal customer. This is the worst experience I have experienced in Home Depot. Stay away from that store. And when I called manager at 2:25PM he was already gone. And he was supposed to be untill 3:00PM what a life and lies.

We ordered a washer and dryer for my aunt who can no longer leave the house without assistance from Home Depot in Secane a few weeks prior to Thanksgiving. The delivery date was set for 12/18/19; the appliance was scheduled to be delivered between 9-1. The delivery company was no call/no show. We called the store around 1:30 to check the status of the delivery only to learn the company "forgot" to put her items on the truck. We were given a 10 day reschedule date despite it being their fault that the items weren't delivered. The Store Manager, "Johnny" to date had not return my phone calls. I called the corporate office; reportedly "Johnny" didn't return their outreach either. Today the items were supposed to be delivered between 7-11. Again no call/no show with the items. Again I called the store and the Manager was unavailable. Again I called the corporate office and was told the delivery truck was running behind; and that someone would call me soon; and to expect the delivery in a half hour or around noon. At 2p.m. I called back to check the status of the delivery and was told after waiting since 7 a.m. that they tried to deliver the items but no one was home. This is not true of course. They have rescheduled now for 1/3/20. I have not ever received a response from the Store Manager to date. The delivery company is West Side and they are totally unprofessional.
Everyone to whom I've spoken at Home Depot has been cavalier about the lack of professionalism displayed by the store manager and the delivery company. The moral of the story, go to LOWES or any place else, and don't use West Side delivery. Extremely disappointed but wise enough to know that I will not be purchasing items from Home Depot again.
I gotten my furnitures from home depot and loved it from the moment i recieved them. Quick delivery and good service.
Beware Home Depot appliance delivery. The delivery guys arrived to install our new washer and dryer and told us they couldn't install them because the stacking kit we had wasn't on the work order/purchased from Home Depot. The kit was, in fact, purchased at a Home Depot store because they it wasn't available for delivery. We explained this to the driver/installer, who had already disconnected our current appliances. He said he would go outside to call his supervisor and be back. They drove away without further communication. A woman (assume the supervisor) called us to explain that the delivery could not happen based on the explanation above. We explained the situation and she said she would call the drivers and call us back. Neither happened. I just spoke with the 1-800 delivery number and connected with a helpful rep who said I would need to return to the home depot store and get a copy of my receipt in order for delivery to occur. Nowhere on the website or delivery instructions did it explain any of this, and I do not still have the receipt. This is ridiculous. When I explained I have waited a week for delivery and don't have time to go back to the store, she said they would have to reschedule the delivery for another day and not return today to install (even though the drivers pulled away less than 20 min before) - more waiting. Not happening. I canceled the order and promptly placed an order with Lowes. So now we are without a washer or dryer for another week (when we at least had a working dryer before Home Depot uninstalled ours). The lack of communication is unbelievable. Just left without an explanation and without hooking the dryer back up. DO NOT USE this service.

I probably should have been concerned the second they pulled up in an Enterprise RENTAL TRUCK rather than a HOME DEPOT vehicle but didn't have time to worry about that after the ensuring argument regarding the parts for installation. I CLEARLY chose this appliance(over a preferred one) due to installation and parts being included: (Yes, please have it up and running for me. FREE Installation + Required Parts $0.00) When the crew brought it into my condo, I was told there was a problem because INSTALLATION was free, but parts were not included. I argued it was, he again said no, call someone if I wanted or he could just leave the washer in there and go(in my livingroom!). Basically I was being railroaded. I tried to call CS but whoever I spoke with was more or less useless in helping me at all - while I still had someone staring at me threaten to just leave. When I asked if he HAD the parts in the truck, he said yes, but couldn't do anything(at first). After like the 5th attempt, I was told "I can do it but I have to charge you". SO WHY THE HELL NOT SAY THIS 10 minutes earlier! At that point I wasn't concerned about being charged for something I shouldn't be, I just needed my washer hooked up. In the end, I felt bad for yelling and gave a $20 tip. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. This person clearly, INTENTIONALLY, tried to scam me since there is NO CHARGE for the parts that were supposed to be included to begin with. Please feel free to see this review on every social media site I can find as well. Meanwhile, Home Depot will never get another dime of my money!
We were looking for an order and were unable to find it. It kept telling us we did NOT order anything
In 2023... Oh, really? We ordered a $680 Kitchen sink!
We then called the 800 number for help and were told that if you're signed in to your account, you will NOT get any information? She walked me through it and, AFTER I had SIGNED OUT! Of my account,I was able to see my orders? What the hay? So anyone can look up MY orders on my OWN account EXCEPT for ME? That is completely backwards! The site has some SERIOUS issues.
It gets better: We then looked up EXTERIOR paneling we found the type we wanted...sort of...
EVERY single type we pulled up under EXTERIOR panelling showed a disclaimer waaaayyy down at
The bottom of the Product Page said: For INTERIOR USE ONLY! Why is it listed under EXTERIOR panelling? Again, whoever the ITs are that are putting this info together must be smoking some gooood stufff, because the sitet really stinks!
Come on HOME DEPOT either get better ITs or tell the present ones to get their kaka together!
Subject: Complaint about Abusive and by Home Depot Employee
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding an incident that occurred at one of your Home Depot stores on 7/06/2023. I regret to inform you that my daughter had an extremely distressing encounter with one of your employees, who exhibited abusive behavior.
Upon entering the store, My daughter approached an employee named [Robert] for assistance in securing a rental. To my dismay, She was met with a barrage of derogatory and offensive remarks,. The employee's language and tone were not only disrespectful but also created an intimidating and hostile environment.
As a customer, I believe it is essential to be treated with respect and dignity, I was shocked and deeply hurt by the employee's behavior toward my daughter which not only crossed professional boundaries but also violated Home Depot's commitment to providing a safe and inclusive shopping experience.
She immediately sought assistance from another employee who, after witnessing the incident, did not intervene. I find it deeply concerning that such behavior was allowed to occur in the first place.
It is crucial for Home Depot to take immediate action in addressing this matter. I kindly request the following steps to be taken:
1. Conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, including obtaining statements from witnesses and reviewing any available surveillance footage.
2. Provide appropriate disciplinary action, in line with Home Depot's policies, to ensure that this employee understands the severity of their actions and to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
3. Implement mandatory sensitivity training and diversity education for all employees to foster a respectful and inclusive environment within your stores.
4. Personally reach out to me to apologize for the distress caused by this incident and to assure me that Home Depot is committed to addressing and rectifying such behavior.
As a loyal customer, I trust that Home Depot values its customers' satisfaction and takes these matters seriously. I hope that immediate action is taken to rectify this unfortunate incident, and I look forward to a prompt resolution.
Yours sincerely,
John C

Very poor performance from start to finish. Shopped Home Depot website first then came into store at Park & Tollway to look at the dishwasher and the price in the store was high by $100. So I asked if they would price match, the sales person said yes, so then I started googling the model number and found the same item at a different store and then they said they would only price match if the retailer had a store, then they would only match if it was in stock (even though they didn't have it available for pick up either) then, then, then so finally I asked to speak to a manager to get the full scoop on price matching. The manager flat out didn't know Home Depots matching policy, so he had to look it up online and what do you know they can match... Then scheduled delivery/installation. The company they use, walked into my house and the first four words out of their mouth was "we can't install it." How completely frustrating... I had a plastic connector and I would have to schedule a plumber to update the line and then they would be able to install. Why didn't the sales person mention then so I could have at least looked before I booked the delivery. I will say in was in the 8 pages of q&A, but really who looks at all that mess, just tell me and I can remember. So had the plumber come out and scheduled the installation of the dishwasher, called first thing today to confirm appt and they have no record of me called and re-scheduling! I spent 45 minutes on the phone with the man because I wanted it scheduled faster than the 3 days in advance! The next appt was 4 days away. Talked to a manager, could/would do nothing more, why even have a manager if they have no authority to make things happen? So I called Home Depot to get a refund and got a leave a message and it's been 4 hours since I left a message and nothing. Very crapy service all the way around.
I had a $.30 credit on my credit card. H.D. Took it. Their reason- they keep credits under $1.00...
Horrific customer service!...
I placed an online order for over 250bags of mulch and 20 bales of pine straw, payed $79 for delivery and had to wait a week for the first delivery slot.
Fast forward to the scheduled delivery date: Home Depot made zero attempt to try and deliver the goods on the scheduled date (after I had taken a day off work as the provided delivery window was an entire day (6am-8pm)). After phoning to find out where my goods were, I was first lied to - told they had attempted to deliver and no one was home (They had not). Then was told "sorry we're running late". I expected them to provide a later time slot that day, but instead was told "another few days to weeks, but we cant provide an updated delivery date". Apparently, they knew about the delays in advance but had not bothered to let me know. They did not care I had taken a day off work to receive their delivery, nor that they expected me to magically be available for some future delivery without them specifying a date.
Being frustrated at my local stores complete lack of professionalism and ZERO Customer Service, I took the time to write a detailed email to Home Depot's corporate customer service email address, explaining what had happened and requesting someone to provide an updated delivery date asap. To my amazement I received an automated response saying their Customer Service mailbox is un-monitored and not to expect a response! - So... even HD corporate have no customer service! This company DO NOT deserve ANY customers what so ever!
I'm canceling my order and NEVER EVER shopping there again. Lowes get 100% of my business going forward.
First off, let me just say I came in to return a water hose, and some insecticide. I waited in an invisible line in front of an old, short haired woman named, "Debbie." She pretended like she couldn't see me standing there for those few minutes. I didn't say anything, I just waited to see how long it would take her to look up from her computer. After more time dragged on, she finally looks up and asks me, "Can I help you?" She came off as a complete b*tch. I told her that I had a few returns. She proceeds to tell me, "Okay, well they'll be able to get you on that side." While pointing to the other side of the desk... Are you kidding me?! She wasn't helping anyone! I internally roll my eyes, and start making my way to the other side of the desk. Where there was a girl already helping someone else with a larger return, and a man who's eyes were also fixated on the computer in front of him. His name was "Ryan." So I stood in front of him hoping he'd be able to help me. He did the EXACT same thing. He hid behind his computer monitor and pretended like he didn't notice me. Still. I said nothing as Ryan continued staring at the screen intently. After even MORE time, he looks up and asks me if I have a return. Well... obviously. (Of course I didn't say that.) I confirmed that I did. He then looks over his shoulder looking for whoever and points to the already busy employee and tells me, "She'll be right with you." The phone then rings, and he chooses to occupy himself with a phone call. I think I was red in the face at this point lol. But I get in line behind the other gentleman who was being helped, and wait even longer to be attended for my simple return. Seems like only 1 person out of the 3 there was actually working. Great going Home Depot, I hope this was vivid enough to express my perspective. I'm just keepin' it a hunnid :)
