My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
Rental department associates don't know anything about their equipment. They recommended the wrong machine and when I complained, they told me I should go online to research myself. Go rent somewhere else that has real professionals to assist you.
I purchased a washer/dryer set 8 months ago and despite charging me, they have not gotten me the dryer half of the purchase. I've called many times and they are incapable of following through with their promises.
First i like to state that the Home depot in lake elsinore is my favorite store. And just to mention the help from the staff makes is more pleasure to shop there :) thank you Jacob & Peter both were kind & patient on helping me load up my fence when there were so many other customers wanting their help good work keep it up!
Supposed to deliver on a specific day and take leave stay at home no calls on delivery time, when called they say they lost the order!
This is two dishwashers. Not a something small that can get lost. They did not even call to inform the issue so I could have gone to work. Terrible customer support too.
I am a regular customer at Home Depot with mixed feelings about this company. Although online shopping makes it easy and convenient for me, their in-store shopping experience has not been so favorable. Seems hit or miss with certain locations, especially when it comes to selection and customer service. However, when I do visit their stores, they usually have what I am looking for.
Tip for consumers:
Home Depot is a good home improvement store; however, I suggest improving their overall organization
Rating: 1/5
As a long-time patron of Home Depot, I never anticipated that my first online purchase experience would be such a debacle. Unfortunately, it was an absolute disaster from start to finish, leaving me deeply disappointed and frustrated.
Let's start with the online platform itself. Navigating through their website felt like trying to untangle a mess of wires in a dark room. The display was cluttered and confusing, making it difficult to find what I needed without endless scrolling and clicking. It was a stark departure from the ease and convenience I've come to expect from Home Depot's in-store experience.
But the real nightmare began once I completed my purchase. Despite assurances of efficient logistics, the reality was a far cry from it. My order was supposed to be ready for pickup in just five days, but a shocking 34 days later, I was still left empty-handed. Multiple calls to various store representatives only added insult to injury. Not only were they unhelpful, but they were also downright rude, as if customer service was a concept foreign to them.
The lack of communication was particularly shocking. Had I not reached out, it's frightening to think that Home Depot might have never bothered to inform me that my order hadn't even reached the store. This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction is simply unacceptable.
In conclusion, my inaugural online shopping experience with Home Depot was nothing short of a nightmare. From the chaotic website to the abysmal customer service and logistical failures, it was a perfect storm of incompetence. Regrettably, I have no choice but to swear off online purchases from Home Depot indefinitely. If this is the standard they uphold, then they've lost a loyal customer for good.
Finally when I was able to speak with an online rep. They were able to cancel my order.
This website is very helpful. You can research items and see if they're in stock at your local store(s). Not only that, the site tells you specifically which aisle and bay the item is in. Considering how confusing their stores can be, nothing could be more helpful than that! They also have useful reviews for products and a question/answer team made up of those of us who've used and reviewed certain products.
6/21/2017 I came into to do a exchange not your everyday exchange long story short Kristen and Erin where there to handle it it took about a hour they made the transaction and customer service in my eyes is a10 great job ladies
I do love the daily deals on Homedepot.com. Great deals if you are fixing up your place or building a new house. We have gotten some of the best deals there. Any problems or issues are dealt with at customer service very efficiently.
If your going to Home Depot, you better bring your own elf! If your wanting something on the top shelf, may I suggest Lowes, or your local Ace Hardware. Having built in wings would be helpful. Bring a football helmet if your going to knock it off the shelf, safety first! No one cares, no one responds. Page after page

I ordered two side mounted tool boxes for my truck, i was notified by the head office that they were shipped to my local store... still no communication as to their actual whereabouts despite the speedy removal of funds from my bank account.
Home Depot has been very nice with us. They even loaned us a refrigerator. Our LG order has been rescheduled three times because LG does not have the refrigerator in stock. If it comes when it is supposed to we will have waited 2 months. I have been on the phone with LG two days. They were giving me a different story each time. Make sure your appliances are in stock. Ask for a written statement. Our refrigerator and microwave both stopped working. That is why we ordered new appliances.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure your appliances are in at the time you order.

I checked my video surveillance and it doesn't show my deliver at the time stated or anywhere within the hour range. Should've just bought it at Amazon or Lowes where there is better customer service and not messages from agents about waiting till a later delivery etc.
June 6th we ordered gutter guards online. We received a confirmation email with a ship to store date in 2 days and a link to track our order. The link to the tracking never worked, nor did putting the number in the website tracking space. We were notified via email it would be another week. Then NOTHING. I contacted customer service and was told it would be another week. I continued to call multiple times and NO ONE was able to provide any information, other than pushing the date out. They said they called the warehouse, store, etc. and it was "on the way". Tracking never works. They "reordered" it for us. Nothing. No emails, no calls, no refunds. It's been over 5 weeks and nothing. They should get out of the online retail business. They have no workable systems to support customers.
Tip for consumers:
wish their emails/websites would work

Starting on 6 MAY 2023 I have had my laundry washer & dryer delivery cancelled at no fault of my own at least 10 times! They finally delivered them, said they were running late, one guy hurt his back so OK on my end, guy hurt his back. AI was told they would come back on Monday to install them! That was 3 WEEKS ago! AND for parts they left the electric cord for the dryer…. It is a gas dryer…. Cant make this up! They are awful x 100% I still do not have the washer and dryer hooked up! I have. 7 month at home! Zack my customer representative at store 1504 is the complete opposite of helpful or good at his job! No followup, no concern, this is like a bad movie. Zack actually laughed on two of the many rescheduling occasions!

They are convenient and have a lot of stuff, but in many cases I find the items for sale are of a low quality (kitchen cabinet hinges), the price is only average, and finding help can be a chore. On the other hand, sometimes you find someone who really knows his stuff and you can solve a problem in minutes. They do have a huge assortment of merchandise which, by being in one place, can save you time. Watch out for their finance details. IT isn't that they are bad, just that they can screw up so read and watch your statements.
I can't believe what happened this afternoon, some lady was holding a dude on the floor in a choke hold because he apparently stole her wallet. Dude was screaming like a $#*! and the crazy $#*! is none of the home depot employees offered to help her. To be honest she was handling herself just fine. All I got to say was dude met his match today!
We ordered a fridge, wrote them a check that they ran electronically, got their money that day. Fridge supposed to be delivered in a week. 30 minutes left of the time frame to be here they call and say they had a blown tire and can't come for another week. They wouldn't let us pick it up either. Now they say we can't get a refund until they deliver the fridge back to Samsung, been told anywhere from 5 to 21 days before they will mail a check. I would never recommend buying anything from Home Depot. Worst experience I've ever had. Should be 0 stars.
Home Depot products and prices are fair and of good quality. The problem arises when they take an order and pass it off to a Business Partner (subcontractor). Home Depot does not manage its Partners. They leave the customer at the mercy of the subs, who might expect you to jump through hoops. You will find your only recourse is to cancel the order. Once you cancel the order, you'll find Lowes is more expensive but make up for it by managing the subcontractors on EVERY order until it is completed.
If you don't need a sub, Home Depot is fine. But if they pass you off to a sub, cancel and go to Lowes.
For home depot next day delivery means four days of wait... and end result is "we can not deliver, only option it is to go pick them up yourself".
Their excuse was we can not navigate your street. This is some bull$#*! excuse, my house is located on two way big $#*! street.
It is my second bad experience with home depot and also my worst with any retail store.

I planning to get my item from lowes
It took 82 days for them to complete the job. That is from the time they put the first window in til that completed by putting the last screen in. Very POOR pro service. I would most likely still be waiting if I did not call and find out the screens have been sitting in the warehouse for a week. Windows are good but service is a 1.
I tried to find where I could post a local review about this gentleman that helped me today and was unable to find out where. I ended up having to go to home depot twice in one day today, 9 May 2020. Both times I was asked (I didn't have to go find, or stop someone rushing by) by Chris G. If I found what I needed. Chris was the most helpful and problem solving person I have met there. The fitting I needed was out of stock but he found a way (instead of no we are out) to make two other fittings work. It has been a while since I have had such great customer service anywhere. Wish I could do something for him, He made my day!
I have used this company for a long year now, No problems with them. Super-fast delivery! Purchased all my kitchen aid electrical items from them. Prices very competitive for all their brands.
Those of you complaining about the kitchen aid mixer and hearing the motor... You would think for the price it is but it isn't! You're paying the brand and don't forget it's an item from the USA! And as for the hooks not spinning properly... Well, maybe you haven't attached it properly! Kitchen aids are not for amateurs!
I highly Home Depot would send a faulty mixer; it's in a very sealed box blame kitchen aid not YHD!
Will keep using and keep purchasing my brands. No bad experiences here!

Gone are the days when you could find a retired electrician, carpenter or plumber working at Home Depot. The employees are inexperienced, almost impossible to find except for the cashiers, and you have to wander the isles looking for items. Extremely overpriced for electronic items, even the ones on clearance that are missing parts. Never scheduled a delivery, so no comment on that. An abundance of twine is usually located outside the store to tie down your trunk lid for large items.
Please don't use Home Depot to order an appliance you need delivered. Their customer service people are nice but have zero information to fully process your order, you will spend days on the phone, miss major amounts of work, and you will never receive your item.
Tip for consumers:
The delivery scheduling system does not work at all
