My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
All the carpet we had installed has been buckling for three years in all bed rooms and hall way. Installer lead man cut his hand during the install and left two helpers to finish most of the job. After the second year we complained to HD and they wanted to charge us to have them make it right. WRONG. We had a local carpet installer come in fix the buckles and now all the rooms have them. We are older people, no kids, no pets. Actual carpet still in great shape Except buckling in all rooms. Save yourself the headache and purchase from a local, reliable carpet store with full time installers.
I've ordered major appliances from them and they are great. Ordered a gas range a refrigerator and washer and dryer. You have to shop around for a while online check every so often to really come up on a deal, they usually always have 10% off with fliers but they always have it with their credit card and you get 6-12 months interest free if paid off by the end of that period. And also get free haul away of your old appliance and sometimes free shipping.
We were shopping for electrical items at the West Bend, WI Home Depot. We were having difficulty finding everything on our list. Brad was the best help we could have asked for. He not only found all of the items on the list but when the wall switches were not on the shelf, he found that they had just come in and got them off the pallet for us. This was not only the best shopping experience we had at Home Depot, but it was the best shopping experience we have had anywhere. I hope to run into Brad the next time we shop there. He truly is a valuable employee who cares about his customers.

It's been two months since I paid in full and my carpet has not been installed. Twice installers cane out here and were not able to do it, second time because there was a stain on the carpet and now they are saying the stairs can't be be and I need to pay an additional $250., what the what? I hope I hear back from Home Depot soon... at what point does it become theft?
Purchased an appliance + delivery + installation + 5 year cover, the full package basically. The box was damaged on the track and was not delivered, I was provided a number to call to which kept disconnecting, at some point I got tired and someone from home depot called me to tell me to call them again because the CAN'T CALL! Only receive calls. Basically they currently hold my purchased money with no plans to deliver anything.
I paid Home Depot to install flooring in the contract it states all pad and tack strips will be glued. Thier installers came and stapled and nail into my radiant heat pipes. I informed the store and Customer Service through various methods each time pushed off to someone else. It has been 6 days and I still have not gotten a single rep to schedule an appt to come assess the damage. They are also so far refusing to refund me for the carpet I had to rip out myself to stop it from continuing to damage my house (as it is wet) or for the money I paid to have it install even though it was not done to the contract. I have told them repeatedly to please come see the damage and I can not get any help.
Tip for consumers:

If you know what you need then go to Home Dept. Wash your hands before you leave because guaranteed they will be dirty if you touch anything in that store...
They usually have a wide variety of hardware and appliances. Love their discounted appliances. Sure miss the Home Expo!
Problems occur in hardware stores like Home Depot... that's OK... but when store management and district management refuse to take your direct phone call... that is a problem. If your job is slowed down by their problem... and you have to get productivity back online... good luck if management won't address you. I have other options... and I will use them... instead of HomeDepot.
I will never order anything else from homedepot.com. The service is pathetic. When you have a problem they transfer you to other people. It is never their problem.
Ordered a ceiling fan online. A Hampton Bay fan which is sold through HD only.
Mistake number 1. Do not order Hampton Bay products. The parts are all made by other subcontractors. I ordered a part which is under warranty on May 22,2014. Still waiting for it. They (the Home Depot Hampton Bay center) ordered it but the supplier did not ship it. I have all these people phone numbers with their extensions. No body answers the phones nor returns your phone call. Including the supervisor. Do not believe what they promise. Not one of the HD reps I talked to took notes. So every time I call I have to start all over again. What a disaster.
Do not order from homedepot.com they will leave you hanging. It is cheaper to buy another product somewhere else.
I have grown to hate shopping at this place. Aisles crowded with junk and you can't get a cart through.
No service, all employees seem to hide when you need something and then they are diversity hires and haven't the slightest idea of what you need.
I think I am finished shopping at home depot.
I had been a customer for over 2o years
Why is customer service always so awful at Home Depot. Ordered a few items online and went there to pick them up. It took forever to see this guy at the customer service and he just gave me rude attitude. I tried to be nice and stuff but man! I guess you could have a bad day but if you are going to treat your customers like that, you should not work at the customer service.
I purchased a two items from Home Depot on Woodward st and interstate 35 in Austin,tx and the give $25 discount and I paid it with my debit card, one month later they send me an email said you have to pay $29.I called customer service they didn't solved the problem than they transferred me to another person she didn't solve the problem, the agent talked to me like I worked for her eve I have the receipt when they give me a discount.finally I chose to cancel the card with them.very bad experience with home depot special this store in Woodward st and interstate 35 in Austin,tx.
Placed and online order with a gift card from Fathers Day. Received confirmation email with tracking info. Received email stating order was out for delivery. Received email saying order delivered. The order was no where to be found. Contacted customer service including a supervisor and was told gift cards are treated as cash and that I had to contact UPS. They offered no support on finding the order. When I stated that out of principal I would never shop Home Depot again the supervisor couldn't have cared less and told me to have a nice evening. So don't buy from Home Depot. They obviously could care less about their customers.
Sent my wife to a local store in Ft Collins. Need some 12/2 wire to add an outlet. The kid they sent to help her had ZERO knowledge and kept trying to sell her speaker wire! Seriously? After 20 minutes she was so frustrated she left and went to Lowes. Never again will HD get a single dime of my $$

Went somewhere else and didn’t buy
Went online to order 6/cs of vinyl plank flooring priced at.99/sq ft or $26.53/cs. When checking out, the price increased to $34.57cs. Called the online help center, spoke to a manger, and was told there was not one thing they could do about the issue. I had to pay the higher price as it was not a price for "my area". When I found this product, I did not put my area in and there is no disclaimer as shown in the photo provided to input your area.
When my area was finally put in the price DID NOT CHANGE until checkout. This is the worst case of deception by a large corporation that I have seen in years. It reminds of those stores that raise prices right before a sale and try to make you think you're getting a great deal by paying the price it was originally marked at.
Lowes is a much better home improvement store as they actually honor their prices and do not act as though it is you that is in the wrong when you are clearly not. Never again Home Depot.
They say they honor all veterans with a 10% discount, well you have to dig deep into the policy to find out it is in stores only not at homedepot.com. The store only stock the bare minimum. The store manager got upset with me when I ask him if the "online" store was located in China because I can't figure out why I'm thanked for my service in the store but forgotten at the dot com.
Angry Veteran
Is there any compensation for lost time and money while waiting 2 weeks past the delivery date, for a dryer purchased on line through Home Depot? The 800 number I called offered $50.00, but I am out $325.00. Washing and drying, time off work for doing this, and gas money.
Very disappointed
I visited the nearest Home Depot located at 610 Exterior St. In the Bronx on Sunday, September 2,2018. I was looking to purchase vinyl floor planks and needed additional information on it. There were no employees available to assist me, so I when directly to customer service area in front of the store and explain to them what I was looking for.
The female customer service made the announcement to have a sales staff go at aisle 42. I Then waited for ten minutes and no one show up.
It seems the employees hide out and are lackadaisical. Where is the help when you need it? The Manager is responsible for the non-work ethics. If the employees in Bronx location don't want to work, replaced them with people who Inspired to perform their work duties.
Been shopping at Home Depot concord, ca for many years. As a contractor can usually get anything I need. Online works well. Sometimes wait is too long. If they screw up they make it right. Concord store is much better than some of the Home Depot I have tried to use. There return policy is good. Nursery does large volume and they do a good job. I can usually get information I need.at the Concord store. Prices are generally good.
My brand new HD washer/dryer broke within 2 months of purchasing it. The washer needs a new motor, capacitor & shifter. GE the manufacturer has not repaired this machine to date (4 weeks). Neither HD or GE can tell me a date that they can repair because they mailed additional parts that won't arrive for two more weeks. I urge you not to repeat my mistake by using Home Depot or GE, both fail in customer service and understanding.
I have had such bad experience with Northern Tools so when I wanted a pressure washer I looked at Home Depot. Same motor and pump and price but NT item has no wheels or cart. Big difference. Purchased at Home Depot gladly. Good service too.
Yes they are bad about resolving issue with a damaged lg fridge. It came from lg in a undamaged box dented up. I cant get a faster delivery and time that is good for me. I am just a number, wait a week and not even a early morning delivery either/what ere suites Home depot not the customer.
The purchase was fine. The delivery was horrible. The guys said they'd be right back before unwrapping my dishwasher and instead drove off. I never even signed for it. They sent me an electronic receipt that under signature says covid 19. DO NOT get anything delivered from Home Depot. I now have no way of returning a damaged appliance. The sheer amount of anger I feel right now... this cannot even be legal.
Purchased a Cub Cadet zero turn... almost $3,000. Website has next day shipped... nope... got a delivery date a week later, they charged my credit card at the time of online purchase... they rescheduled the delivery 4 days later. Finally arrives, missing the knob connector for the steering bar. Called and was on hold an hour, called later... was on hold 2 hours and in the middle of conversation was disconnected. No return call email or text. Called the store directly, they advised one of three things... call the 800 number, that will put you on hold, call Cub Cadet directly, or return the tractor. Horrible Horrible Horrible. This is not my 1st bad experience with Home Depot. Keep treating customers like this and one day you wont have any customers. Just cant say how disappointed I am.
I use Homedepot.ca website often.
Often I feel frustrated navigating the site as there are many duplications of products on the site. I recognize that lumber prices are frequently changing, however it's difficult to often find the most current price online.
Used as a guideline only, the best shopping at home depot is still better in the store rather than online for me.
Shop online for all your home improvement needs: appliances, bathroom decorating ideas, kitchen remodeling, patio furniture, power tools, bbq grills, carpeting, lumber, concrete, lighting, ceiling fans and more at The Home Depot.
