I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.

I have exemplary credit and without notice, Home Depot cancelled my card due to inactivity. They say they sent a letter to warn me, but I didn't receive it, it went to an old address. They received the undelivered letter back. And although they had two other means in which to contact me, they choose not to bother. Too bad for Home Depot, I just built a new house and am about to purchase large appliances to fill it.
Do they not realize that there are many other places to buy the wares they have to offer at the same prices! Oh well Home Depot, my appliances will be purchased elsewhere, along with anything else that I might have purchased at your stores! Keep it up and perhaps you will be the next in a long line of stores to close down due to your own poor policies.

This time the Home Depot delivered and installed (plugged in) an electric range and it's dented inside the lower drawer. It looks like they dropped it on the steps or something.

Last week, the dented a 2-in-1 washer and dryer combo.

Ordered my new washer online. NOBODY tells you they wont install it unless you buy THEIR new washer hose. Even if you have a brand new hose. NOBODY asks you, or tells you that they will not remove your old washer from a pedestal OR place your new one on it. So here I am sitting, a single 50 year old woman, with a washer that is not connected and no family closer than 2 hours one way. Had been waiting for this thing a week (their delivery options are also outrageous...) and still can't do anything with it. Now another $100, maybe more, to have someone else come put it together...

First off, I can't count how many times I've gone to HomeDepot and they either didn't have it or have it in stock. Prices on the Canadian side are far higher than the US but then what's new. The products are fewer with fewer makes and models so this doesn't make it good here but better in the US. Prices, high to average with damned little ever on sale unless its time to get rid of something or its become redundant. Its a convenience, local for most people to go and shop but the prices are higher than I find online so I'll not say its a bad place to shop but I can't count how many times I have gone there and left with nothing. Out of Stock

I was very disappointed with Home Depot Installation Services for windows. We were told directly that the installers would appear in Home Depot shirts with HD badges and were HD employees. Instead some non-english speaking guys came without masks. When they were done, HD insisted upon final payment even before scheduling inspection. They failed to schedule the inspection until after the permit expired and then only in response to a bad review. The Installation Manager, Craig, made excuse after excuse and became rude and insulting, belittling me because of my small company before leaving. I will never trust Home Depot to tell me the truth or provide what is promised again.

We all know this is the place for construction goodies, but there are many great home decor items and more. Great selection of rugs, good pricing. Lamp shades, chairs. Dont just go there for lumber and nails, go there to decorate and feel happy about it.

Worst service I have seen, they came 7 days after the emergency happened and reported and ask for another 5 business days for the part then we need to schedule the installation that might take about 5 other business days. If it doesn't work the money back and no replacement. Technician thought was good Refrigerator

While most customers are wearing masks I am troubled by the number without masks in the Forest Park OH location. I believe it is the obligation of Home Depot to protect their employees and customers from the those who choose to put others at risk. I recommend they post someone at the door to enforce their rule that "masks are obligatory".
We all deserve to maintain our health, Home Depot does not seem to have the will to support this premise.

The Home Depot store has a great environment to work in but the pay is horrible. I worked in bookkeeping the store brings in about 2 million a week in sales but the associates make min. Wage. Very few full time people. Most of my friends at depot have to go on Medicaid and food stamps to get by. Walmart and Amazon pay much better.

This is the gold standard for how brick and mortar retail should operate in 2013 and beyond - a seamless buy online and pick up in store experience. My order is always ready for me (unlike some competitors who mark your order as ready, and don't always pick it before you get there). Great job HD!

Love, love, love the HomeDepot and its friendly staff. Just amazed that every time I go (except maybe on a busy weekend), folks are always there asking me if I need any help. And you know what? Sometimes I do... Really nice place to get the stuff I need..

I have mixed reviews about Home Depot. First ordering online is very convenient. It's the easiest way to find everything you need. Now in store shopping is totally different. Some locations the further out you go have everything but the stores local by me are a mess. Everything half gone or picked through. But in every home depot I have been to customer service has been excellent.

Tip for consumers:
They do not offer a large selection of products.

I ordered a Kohler Toilet on June 13. I chose to have the product shipped to the store to save the shipping fee. The website stated that orders are delivered within 7-10 days. Today is June 26 and the Home Depot on Powell in Nashville cannot tell me where the toilet is. I have visited the store 6 times seeking information. I had to cancel the service call from the Plumbing Company. According to HD Online my product was received by the store on June 23 at 6 pm. The store states that they never received the product and can't tell me where it is. The store manager tells me that it takes 3-5 days after receiving the shipment before it is unloaded. Presently they are running about 5 days and have 5 trailers to unload. They can't unload because the receiving area is full of merchandise. I finally found an excellent service desk person, Kristine, who spent 20 minutes looking for the toilet but without success. Don't order online from HD. Even the management admits they have problems.

My Granddaughter Saw this rug and said, "This is just right".
We were browsing the carpeting department. Our granddaughter went behind another display. When we got there this is what we saw. She was so cute; I took this picture. The sample was indeed extra soft.

Tip for consumers:
Brouse the store and you may find some incredible item that you didn't even think of, but you really need it.

We will NEVER do business with Home Depot again. From the moment we tried to place our order it was error after error on Home Depots end. They over promise and under deliver on everything they told us. The communication is so poor with this company. 90 days after we placed our order they still can't find it. Strongly encourage you to do your business at Menards or Lowes.

I purchased a new kitchen through Home Depot. I spent close to $48,000.00 and as soon as they took the payment everything went down hill fast. The orders were messed up and didn't get delivered when they were supposed to. The quality of work is absolutely worthless. My $48,000.00 kitchen is falling apart. Store management can only do so much. I call corporate and am told that I have to deal with the store manager. My kitchen project was completed second week of July ( with tons of frustrating issues thanks to Home Depot) it is now October and my kitchen is falling apart. Please if you think of remodeling your home do yourself a favor and do not use Home Depot.

Girl at customer service desk told me the item i was looking for was in isle 5. Went up and down that isle 6 times. NOT there. Other employees walking past not offering to assist. When i tried to find someone to help i was ignored... they were too busy trying to see where they were going to set up a display.

Plus no military discount also not like lowe's and ace hardware only would shop here if no other choice! Plus the shop don't look clean and the inside need a more comfortable feeling when you inside! Plus there plant's seem always die in a short time while lowe's this isn't true and I don't work at all!

Opened an account and tried to purchase a 4 wheel cart for 99.00 i found it at my location when i first looked
But had to open an account and log in. Thats where the trouble began after i login to my account the cart was no longer in stock but at first it was, so i was going to pick up then it was not. Well after looking around at nearby stores they all at first said they had it but then i could not get it deliverer in few days the dates were Sept 16- Sept 23

So guess what i found the exact cart for same price with free delivery on you guessed it Amazon. You people might want to take a lesson in delivery methods from Amazon. Delivery on Sept 13. You might want to think about working on your web site and make it work better Huh..

Several of our cabinets arrived damaged and luckily we have someone installing who could make repairs. However, it wasn't until half way thru our project (an entire kitchen & 10ft island) we discovered they sent us the wrong measurements on the island cabinets. It took a month to receive the correct ones. We were left with 2 cabinets that had been modified (prior to realizing they made an error in measurements). Home depot is demanding the altered cabinets be returned if we don't agree to keep & pay for them at a 25% discount. We have had no functional kitchen for over a month because their cabinet dept. openly admitted to GUESSING our island measurements because someone was out sick. This is unacceptable customer service. We have already spent over $40K to home depot for this house project & I find it disgusting they are trying to screw us over for 2 altered cabinets because they home depot says they'll be paid for the cabinets regardless. I feel sick I ever spend a dollar here but it is the last time. We'll take our business & contactor business account elsewhere. Not a single red cent coming from me to this disgraceful business. Go to Lowes everyone! Also, they took a year to fix my parents cabinets in their palm springs home, so it's really a company issue. The worst.

Order an item online and it was never delivered. When I called the customer service (which is automated attendant hell). They told me they could not figure out the issue but would have freight company call me, which they did. When they called, it was from wrong state, Home Depot had tagged order to wrong store, thus the issue. So the freight company could not help.
Back to the Customer Service line, another 15 minutes of waiting to be told to assist me they have now canceled my order, but I can go back online and order again. I refused and asked to do it over the phone to insure it was set up correctly this time. After providing all my information again, service person told me the item is now discontinued but I could select something else. At this point I gave up knowing their goal was not to help. I can see the item online, but now told it was discontinued.
They always find a way to not-perform.

The sales manager is an $#*!, $#*!ing bastard. We have singed an agreement and opened an home account to replace our roof. After 4 weeks they found out that there is some issue with the pricing and he didn't even call us to explain the problem, without our consent, without talking to us, he cancelled the agreement, we had to go to Union city home depot ask came to know that this $#*!ing mother$#*!er sales manager cancelled our agreement. Don't waste your time. Don't let any home depot person come near your house.

We spent a lot of money at home depot, we flip houses so talking about thousand and thousand. We moved to a new home and bought all appliances there. First route of order, the delivery keeps on getting delayed, and delayed. We don't get our appliances 2 months later and not a single person called about the delay. I waited all day for the delivery and only found out it was delayed when I called them. For the washer and dryer, it took them 1.5 month to deliver. To make matter worst, the doors opens in the wrong side(this is a service that the sales associate suppose to ask us which side of the doors we need, but they didn't). I called them and they said its not their problem any more, they are my appliances now and I have to deal with them. Will not go here anymore, I don't think they want any more business, they have enough already.

Placed an order, then cancelled one hour later in order to add two more items to have all on one order. They messed up so badly that they charged me three times for an item I only received once and when I refused to take the item when the truck arrived, they kept sending it to my home on three different occasions. Finally they just dropped it off in my open garage refusing to take it unless I had a proper UPS slip. Three calls later to a tune of 3 hours in total on the phone it is still not resolved. A month has almost gone by and I still have no credit. This is it for ordering from Home Depot.

Tip for consumers:
NEVER return an item thinking you are doing them a bookkeeping favor by putting your order through as one.
