My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
I worked part time at Home Depot in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. I am retired and only wanted to work about 24 hrs a week. But, I did not want to work more that 6 hrs on any given day. I was told by my supervisor that I HAD to work an 8 hr. Shift at least one time a week. I worked there about 3 months and they starting putting me on the schedule for not 1 but 2 shifts a week that were 8 hrs. Each. I never missed a day in my short 3 months there and did a very good job for them. You would think as much as HD needed good help they would see PART TIME is part time. Gary B.
Placed an order, then cancelled one hour later in order to add two more items to have all on one order. They messed up so badly that they charged me three times for an item I only received once and when I refused to take the item when the truck arrived, they kept sending it to my home on three different occasions. Finally they just dropped it off in my open garage refusing to take it unless I had a proper UPS slip. Three calls later to a tune of 3 hours in total on the phone it is still not resolved. A month has almost gone by and I still have no credit. This is it for ordering from Home Depot.

But cant! I have had a couple bad experiences there but I've had them at other builder stores as well. I cant put my thumb on it but something about the store makes me not want to shop there but the convenience and prices as well as most of the time the selection. I just wish there would be one not as large of a chain and had more local personal building items, oh well, on my way to HD again.
My first stop for everything from landscaping materials to repair widgets. Like all big box stores, it is best if you know the materials, products, uses and store layout as the staff is typically not as informed as the folk at your local hardware store.
I just turned 83 years young and decided my gas powered chainsaw is too heavy for me to use(I weight 114 lbs and 5 ft tall) so I took a chance on the 14 inch chainsaw and I love it! It is light weight and does a great job so no tree is safe now. It has plenty of power to cut even 6 inch trees (so far that is as big as I have cut).

I ordered the sawsall on line from home depot and it was delivered the next morning before 10 o clock. I ordered the 14 inch chainsaw and it was delivered 2 days later and no shipping cost. these are my latest purchases of ryobi tools.

The overall worst customer service and worst quality store ever. I bought a dish washer and microwave on the same day, they said they could have them delivered one week from that day but when the time came they said they could not deliver it for another 6 months! I said I want my money back and they said that was not an option! Then the hung up on me! Customer service! I will never shop at a home depot again.
The order and pickup service used to be HORRID, but it is greatly improved. I found that if you provide a very specific pickup time, it is likelier to be ready than if you just say 'today' or 'tomorrow'. And, sometimes, what is shown as available online is gone before they get around to putting your order together so you get there and not everything is in the order. But, overall, it does save time so I will keep using it.
Didn't receive my items on an online order, there was clear proof it was simply not delivered. I was assured by the customer service representative if I did not receive them in a week I would receive a refund. I patiently waited a week and after not receiving the items I contacted them again for a refund. The new representative, Logan, said they do not refund on items not delivered. He refused to honor what the previous rep said, and refused to transfer me to a supervisor, basically told me I was SOL with no recourse. I have never dealt with a supposedly legitimate company that refuses refunds on items not delivered. Is that not literally theft? I will NEVER shop at home depot again. It would be more reliable to buy things out of a stranger's garage.
I was in 2 different Home Depots last week, both stores, Port Richey and Holiday, FL, had numerous people in the stores not wearing any masks. When I asked the person at the door why they were not enforcing the county health departments mandatory mask policy they told me they can only offer them a mask but cannot make them wear one. That is ridiculous, they will kick you out if you come in without your shirt or shoes, because that is a county policy but not when it could effect the health of one of their employees are customers!
I am done with HD, not only do they not care about peoples health every time I go there they are out of stock on at least 1 item I went for. I am a property manager and spend a considerable amount of money every year and I am going to spend it where I feel the store is watching out for me.
Home Depot is pretty darn good about offering you very lenient return policies. Need to return or exchange an item? Almost never a hassle. They remember what customer service means!

Bought a mantel shelf for my fireplace, I received the package a week later and when I opened the huge and heavy box I came across to a cracked and scratched corner of the mantel shelf, no screws and no touch up paint as mentioned in the instructions. Called customer service and the only 2 options they gave me was to take back the mantel to a home Depot store for a refund ( not full amount paid) or she could do it online for me and it would take 5 or 6 weeks to get the money back. I asked if I had another option as this 2 didn't work for me. After 42 minutes on the phone all they offered was 15 dollars back from the a mount paid and a phone number to contact vendor to ask for touch up paint. When you buy something new and pay for it you expect to get what you asked for, not A scratched item. The least they could have done was to offer to exchange it for a good one. People you should care more about your customers.
I purchased generator online from Home depot. Generator was shipped in original pkg. I started generator after putting accessories on and adding fuel,and connecting battery (oil) for engine. Included with item. Generator started very easy! Love it,especially the electric start. Very nice quality,at a fair price. Works as it stated when reviewing item. Perfect for back up power when there is none. A little louder than thought,but its definitely worth the money!. I would recommend this item too anyone looking for a quality generator that wont break your wallet! Everything about it. Especially the carbon monoxide shut down features.
Went to Home depot store on S. Broadway, Edmond, Oklahoma to purchase a chain saw. Since the saws had lock and key I went to customer service to ask for help. Two cashiers were chatting and waited for a minute till they finished personal chat and then one asked what did I need, I replied need someone to help with getting the chain saw unlock. I heard she paged assistance at ail 49 and waited for 15 minutes no one showed up, I went back to the desk and told them "I guess you folks don't want to sell items". I went to Low's and bought the chain saw.
Love home depot and all their products and selection but their online store/website is awful. It's always freezing, search criteria doesn't work correctly it's so much work and effort to do simple orders. I usually just end up calling their 800 number and ordering and those phone associates are always amazing. They should really work on their website and it's functionality.
I waited 5 months fir custom French doors from Home Depot. 8582 chandler. A snotty manager fareel told me here's how it will go for my delivery not trying to help me the customer after 8000 in purchase of product. Don't buy from these people they treat you like dirt after they get your money so disappointing
The customer service I just received from Home Depot is subpar to say the least. The set arrived with white lounge chairs instead of the matching chairs shown. After spending 25 minutes on the phone with customer service and being transferred multiple times, they have the local store picking up all the pieces in 2 days. Their original solution was to have a third party carrier schedule a pick up within 2 weeks. My refund will not take place until they receive the mismatched merchandise back. I am severely disappointed as I had already put the table together with the thought process the chairs could be switched out. I will not being purchasing any items from Home Depot again due to this nor will allow the 9 apartment properties I oversee to purchase items from this store. As my company values customer service, we will only do business with those that share the same philosophy.
Home Depot stood behind me, the customer, in dealing with an acceptable product. They took the door back without hesitation and complete full refund. They do not know how happy they made us. We can't thank them enough. Scott at Roseville store you are top notch!
Design process great with Marilyn at S. Brunswick Home Depot, thats where it ends. After partial install and contractor claiming he doesn't know how to finish installing legs for countertop and not responsible for fixing refrigerator mis-alignment, many complaint calls later another installer did fix the leg issues, but nothing else. Now 2 month later, still not completed and they dropped the ball yet again! Terrible communication between staff and contractors, no help from manger either> I will never use them for installation again!
Fridge and dishwasher arrived on time. Old appliances were taken away. Two delivery operators. The older fellow was all business, respectful. Both wore masks but younger fellow had his around his chin only, mouth and nose exposed. Very disappointed in his lack of respect for coming into my home during Covid without due care. I would have given more stars except for that fact.
I have spent literally over $11,000 there over the past few years. I tried to return a very few perfect-condition items with no receipt for a store credit. They used to do that all the time. Now they use a service that labels you a fraud. Seriously? Yes, it is their right to change their policies. And it is my right to take my business to Lowes and Menards - where I have never had a problem returning stuff that is in perfect shape for a credit - which I am just going to turn right around and spend again! Also, the return credit is usually less than I paid because of sales. I'm totally fine with that.
Just an really well thought out, useful site all around. There are too may features to lst, I recommend you check t out for yourself, especially small businesses. Those whom order and pick up materials a lot would benefit from online ordering, tracking and receipts.
My custom-made cellular shades developed problems within six months of installation. Home Depot Customer Service worked with me to understand the ptoblems, then gave me a full refund. The representative was gracious, efficient, and helpful.

Store. Drive 22 miles one way. Find out you cannot return because you have too many returns.Ha Ha, have none in over a year. Was purchasing a list of items, but due to poor experience, walked out. The competition can't be any worse. Waited twenty minutes to find out they would not service their customer. So when I got back to my desk, I tried to contact them online to file a complaint. Online was a real sad experience. I wasn't prepared for someone in Mexico, and I don't speak Spanish. HD! Joke!

I turn houses around. Therefore I spend a lot of life looking for answers to problems. I have found Home Depot the most helpful with my hard to solve issues. They have stopped carrying a lot of better products in the store but some can still be ordered on line and picked up in the store.
Online order place two months back for an appliance which was scheduled for delivery on 6/16 between 3-7pm. Absolutely no delivery and no update. Customer service office closed at 4pm so I called for an update the next morning. Was informed that the warehouse wasn't even aware of my scheduled delivery and asked to reschedule. Wow! So not only did I take the day off( required to be home for the delivery) but my installer was also waiting. Now we get to do this all over again the following week(won't hold my breath). 1. Why does it take 2 months for delivery ( same issue with my stove)
2. How are you not aware of the delivery date.
Most definitely will not ordering from HD again unless I can pick it up myself.
