My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
I made a mistake ordering my book case (Manhattan Comfort) online in home depot. It was supposed to be delivered in 2 weeks. I called up after 3 weeks to check. Home depot order processing was sitting on my order all this time and sending the order to vendor after I called up. I had to cancel this order. So much time wasted!
If you are the kind of person who likes to keep your home up to date, you don't really want to miss the great deals that home depot offers. I really like home depot, specially for their very organized way to lay out their stock, also for the efficiency of the personal that works there
As a woman shopper-sometimes its hard to shop at a home store--but not at our Johnsoncity, Ny, Home depot. The employees treat every one equal there and are always willing to listen to your problem and help. It does not matter if your a man or a woman they treat you all the same. And when you have a major problem and they can't help they will help you find someone that can--Amazing service. I'm very impressed by how they like to take care of their customers.
I worked with a gentleman in the store named Tom Foss who was rude and wasn't listening to the customers as he left in the middle of the shopping to go get his medications and was very condescending throughout the interaction. He was very knowledgeable he just needs to have more patience when trying to find affordable quotes for customers. Thank you for your time.

Purchased a washer and dryer for a total of $2400. Scheduled delivery and set up for Tuesday 6/21/17 between 1 - 5pm. Took off early from work. They never showed. Called Home Depot and phone rang for 15 minutes and then I was transferred and it rang another 15 minutes or so before I hung up and started again. When I finally got someone on the phone the delivery department said there would be no more deliveries today. Perhaps tomorrow. The Home Depot clerk asked her to verify when I was scheduled for delivery and she said today between 1 and 5 but she didn't know where the truck was or what happened so it would be tomorrow. I cancelled and requested a full refund. I was told I can come in store to get a refund back to my bank card. Wow is all I can say! Then the delivery people called at 9pm to say They were 20 minutes away. We said we already cancelled. Never again will I shop at Home Depot!
Our gutter works fine but we want to switch to an easy to clean one because we have several big pine tree around us. We went to Homedepot and decided to use contractor from homedepot because they told us that the gutter was pine proof and life time guarantee. We changed entire gutter because of the trust of homedepot. Afterwards, we found out that the gutter has no proof against pine tree at all and there are still a lot of pine needles enter the gutter. We called homedepot and they sent someone to clean for the first time and refused to come for the second time. Here goes the entire trust and we would never use contractor from homedepot again. And we still stuck with the worse than previous gutter after spending all the money.
I don't know company with better customer service than this one. Of course, there are some disadvantages. However, most of my visits were more than great. No problems with returns, no problems with variety of tools available.
This is the 3rd time I ordered something they said was in stock with a gift card and they cancelled the order b/c it wasn't in stock. Even though the email says "a store credit will be sent in a separate email" they make you come into the store to get a refund. The store credit also can't be used online either, so its essentially stealing my money. This has happened at multiple stores so I have to go to each one to get my small amount of money back at each one! What a joke!
I purchased 2 sinks that were delivered broken. They sent me an e-gift card and I had to repurchase. The second shipment came with one broken sink. They would not give me a credit for the sink and are making me return it to the store. They gave me a phone number to call for a denied return, didn't give me the transaction number, made me call again to get the transaction number only to be told that the only way to get a refund was to return it to the store. I spent the over an hour trying to get someone useful on the phone. This is a house that is 10 hours (which is why I ordered it) from my home and they expect me to drive there and return it. They take no responsibility that the sink manufacturer doesn't pack the product correctly. They should have offered to pick it up and then they would know it was broken in delivery. I would stay away from ordering from them since they do not stand by their product and service.
I purchased everything from wall cabinets to toilets from Home Depot on line! Even a trash compactor. I love the various options; home delivery or store delivery. One of the toilets was broken, they had me return it to my local Home Depot and immediately shipped another one. No questions at all, easy return. Love them!
No one knows what they are going. I get material for my company and every time I can't get a good help, they never know what they are going plus they still get really attitude if you tell them that you been waiting for an hour.
I would not like to say this is the best, but it is not bad as well for a home maker. Homedepot.com is not much, but not less to make a home attractive. One who loves to make your home and surroundings pretty and for simpler DIY projects had better glance here at least once.
BEWARE!
On October 2,2023, we contacted HomeDepot.com to order an oven/range with specific features. HomeDepot.com misinformed us about an Amana model that was delivered on October 5,2023. It did not have the self-cleaning feature we requested.
On October 9,2023, we contacted HomeDepot.com and they told us to call the Home Depot Store closest to us. But they also denied an exchange for a GE model that has the self-cleaning feature, for which we are willing to pay an extra $100.00 for.
The Amana model was never used, but we quickly discovered that even when HomeDepot.com misrepresents a product, the company itself is willing to stiff their loyal customers and not call or email them to resolve an issue.
BEWARE!
My leaf blower died this past fall. I needed a blower quick. My daughter works in the town where a Home Depot is located... so... I ordered one online to be picked up in the store. I authorized my daughter as the person picking up the item. That same night I had a new leaf blower and didn't have to leave my house. My daughter said it was a breeze picking it up at the Service Desk.
And about thirty minutes later you will find a store employee that knows not exactly where the product is you are looking for but will walk with you around the entire store to help you find it, whatever it is. That is about the experience each time I need something here.
I was looking at two colors of flooring. Three hours after ordering, on a Sunday no less, I was showing my friend when I realized that I ordered the color that was my second choice.
I called to try to fix it but apparently they rushed my order out the second they received it, and I have to go through major hassles ro switch it, and delay things by weeks to get my first choice.
It is like being forced to stick with a mistake if tou want to get your floor done anytime in the near future.
Not very customer friendly! People do make mistakes. Now I will always be just that much unhappy about my floor because I couldnt switch to my first choice if I wanted to get my floor finished.
I start wondering if Lowe's is as difficult to work with.
I bought a fridge from the Home Depot. The guys they hired to deliver it, not only left my house reeking of cigarettes for days but also left a 12 foot scratch in the floor of our brand new, 2 month old home after dragging the fridge sideways instead of using the dolly. I was assured this would be fixed by my first, second, third, fourth and fifth conversation with people at THD… I thought too highly of them and their partners, nothing has been fixed and I have no idea who to reach out to. I will never shop at THD again. It's Lowe's from here on out. I can't believe that they guaranteed to fix my floors and never followed through. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Don’t use their vendors for delivery. THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!
They stink at cutting! If u go for floor make sure they cut at right spot! Make sure the cut is straight Make sure you get the correct measurement from them! If you have them help u bring it to truck then make sure they don't mark up floor before u even get it home! Deals are not that great, and sales Stink
Complete runaround trying to get a refund for the installation of a dishwasher that never happened. Told to call a different number each time we called the given number. Took a long time to finally get an appropriate response. Seemed to be disorganized and unhelpful. We finally did get a refund, but after spending so much time trying to do so we should have been rewarded with a gift card for the time spent trying to get it sorted.
Home Depot HVAC in Denver has one guy. Yes, one guy & one guy only. For MILLIONS of people. Took two days off work... he called in sick, both days. Are you kidding me? For a service area of millions, Home Depot has ONE guy? Really?
The first women on the phone was apologetic & said "I will give you $10.00 off".
The second cancellation the women was rude to me?
Huh?
She said "Why don't you go somewhere else?"
Well it was a Saturday... another day I took off & no one... NOT one person in Metro Denver was available. I lost $100.00's of dollars. I am a teacher. This hurts. A LOT!
My boyfriend took a day off, my building manager took a day off.
Thanks Home Depot for ripping me off.
I had been a loyal Home Depot customer for years until I tried to return some items. I do a lot of projects and know that i am prone to making mistakes so I usually purchase extra supplies which i later return. Never had a problem until this weekend. I loaded up extra items/supplies to return. The line was long but the cashier did her best and it moved along. After finally getting my items scanned the system printed out a RETURN DECLINED notification. The manager was unable to help me and i was forced to again load up and return home with ALL the items i wanted to return. To find out why this happened to me i was told to visit the TRE website. The TRE website was nothing more that a review of the return policies. I still can not find anyone who will tell me what I did to get flagged. Home Depot will not allow me to return anything until this is fixed but, will not tell me how to fix it. I am very Disappointed in The Home Depot.

Wood quality has dropped dramatically over the last few years but the worst thing about HD is they allow people to park in the loadin zone to go inside and shop. Almost every purchase I make involves 16' lumber and I have to push the cart out into the parking lot because lazy people park in the loading zone to grab something small. I've mentioned it to employees and they just say I'm sorry they aren't suppose to park there but they do nothing about it. Today was the last time. Back to the real lumber yard for my product.
I shop at both, but I'm more inclined to shop at Home Depot. Their prices are better and the staff are much more available and friendly. Check prices before shopping either store and see for yourself.
How about stopping the f'ing popup every time o go to your site, I got there for a reason to find something either when I'm about to go there or while I'm in the store. I don't need to be spammed with some bull$#*! just to hold me up and waste my time.
The forklift operator has a problem with helping you get stuff off the top shelves. We work him to hard, he has to get a fork lift, a spotter and get them out side to be loaded. HIS WORDS.
I guess I was suppose to get to the top shelf then top of the pallet and get 120 cap stones for my self. The way I look at it is, If he was doing his job, then the pallet would have already been on the bottom level and I wouldn't have needed his help or his sassy mouth at all. I went to Lowes across the street and got my cap stones. Funny Not 1 person there complained and even said thank you as they took my money.
