My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
Boughtvand set delivery date two months prior to moving into new build home. Invoice showed correct date, yet after confirming one week prio and one day prior, delivery didn't happen. Offered no resolution from delivery contractor with Home Depot. Home Depot ignored case number assigned complaint letter via both mail and email. Phone calls to delivery company offered no resolution saying they had no supervisor and one month later I could be rescheduled to get appliances saying their computer schedule didn't work and I wasn't allowed to pick up at the local delivery company where the appliances sat. Forced to purchase a small refrigerator and use laundromat until the delivery contractor for home depot could get appliances to me. Worse part is no response from Home Depot even after they assigned a complaint case number. Costly to me in the end.
Tip for consumers:
Skip using Home Depot for appliances due to incompetent delivery.

The guy at the paint counter who's name was David was very rude and very short stature. I brought the paint in on a paper and he frist said he couldn't match it than he wanted to know if I had the color off from the can which he knew we didn't. Than finally off from the paper he said he thought he could get a match. I have never bought paint at the Home Depot before he informed me I needed to move to the front. Hell I didn't know what front he was talking about so I waited and waited and than try to ask where he was talking about and he Ignored me so I walked over and ask the other gentleman he told me where I needed to wait. I can tell you this he acted like he was doing me a favor but how I see it is I'll go to Lowe's next time. There are people that can work with the public I do myself every day and know that you don't treat your costumers like crap. So by my Experience I will not be shopping there again... thanks but no thanks
Tip for consumers:
Not to go to paint counter or paint from David

I actually can't believe how many times I have gone to a Home Depot store and spoke to staff who know NOTHING about what they are selling. SOME do, but it seems the majority do not.
Home Depot should really spend time to train their employees, or at least hire people that have knowledge about the department they work in.
After agonizing over which washer to buy, both at the same price, LG or Samsung, I went into Home Depot and was helped by a wonderful saleslady. The web-site gave me more info than I was able to get at the store and I'm really impressed with it's scope.
I wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered a gas range that was delivered damaged on February 25th. I did not receive the delivery, however, the delivery man had already disconnected my original range. He called the office and got a replacement that was to be delivered a week later, so I told him to take the old range away. One week without a stove is not the end of the world. Or so I thought. My replacement was scheduled for March 3rd. I got a call March 2nd informing me that my stove would not be delivered until March 11th due to some issue I don't remember. Over two weeks without a stove is unacceptable. When I called customer service, all they offered me was an I'm sorry. I will never purchase another appliance from them ever again.
Return number r*******
Won't pick up my item. I've call 100 times, no response, phone disconnects everytime.
They lied and said they have called me twice. I have emailed over 30 times. No pick up date given to me. I've spoken to home depot over 10 times. Home depot has Ben no help. They keep passing the buck to NSD. As a customer that received defective merchandise for 899.00, order number w*******, I shouldn't have to be put through this to have my item returned.

Don't shop omega depot

I got only 50 dallor back for 700 dallor cabinet
Failing to honor orders canceling after 3 days of listed on its way
Customer service being unable to leave a provided scripted to solve any issues
Wait time for customer service being well over 1h and still cant get anything done
The instore experience is not much better as they can only look up the website just to find out the information you just got is wrong when you get to the cash
Tip for consumers:

Bought a Generac generator at The Home Depot to have it in case of a hurricane, etc. A Home Depot contractor installed it over two years ago and still it has not pass Permit inspection. The Home Depot get our calls but then it is ignored.

An order and purchase of flooring was completed six weeks ago. There were multiple delays in receiving the product at home. However, we were required to make payments on our Home Depot card.
The product was delivered to our garage. There were instructions to bring into the house, which I did. There were 30 pieces.
All furniture was broken down and moved to other rooms in the house and our front porch.
The day arrived when the installers arrived as scheduled. After about 15 minutes, the installer told me he did not know how to install this type of flooring. And there was not anyone available to install the arrival day.
A follow-up call with Home Depot indicated that the flooring would be installed five weeks later; meanwhile, the house is in disrepair because all of the furniture moved out of the dining room and living room.
A call to the general manager, Steve, was unsuccessful in securing a new installation date. Steve was then instructed to come to pick up the product, which he did.
I was very stern and disappointed with Steve. There was no apology or discussion on being made whole.
Think twice before engaging with Home Depot Flooring. They sell the product; however, their subcontractors are not trained in installation.
I asked 4 people for assistance in finding an item that i had a picture from their website.
1st person was nice looked at my phone and then said I don't know this isn't my department. 2nd person was the cashier at the end of the aisle that said I'll call somebody for that department. 3rd person whom I think that person called waved at me and then disappeared I waited for 15 minutes and he never reappeared. 4th person that was walking by said that he would get in trouble if he helped me cause he was on the merchandising team. What the heck home depot this is a worst experience ever I was really surprised this wasn't my typical home depot I go to andd I was very disappointed. The cashier who Checked me out and listened to me me is the only reason They even got 2 stars otherwise it would have been 0.
So we heard 24 months no interest we haul old carpet move furniture install new sounded awesome. Awesome it was carpet is done and nice job but same day it is installed we get visa bill 24 month no interest? NOPE 6 months make phone call be put on hold then hung up on what a freaken joke so went down to Home Depot started to get mad and madder and now f;*#% pissedthey wont help not sure this will get posted I'm sure there flagging a lot cause this is a fu%#^ joke I'm about to go postal. They lure you in then cause there losing there $#*! they kill the deal and show so smoke and mirror trick and try and convince you this is what you signed it's bull$#*! we did not sign for 6 months cause we knew we couldn't pay off in 6 months maybe 18 and very dueable in 24 pure fu#¥ crap. DO NOT BUY from here you get what you get. I'm going back to sutherlands where they don't rip you off
I bought a fridge that ended up looking hideous and asked to return it. I was told no. Home Depot has the right to refuse any return. According to the Ian at the Watertown MA Home Depot they will NEVER accept a return of appliances.
I come here often to refill my office supplies and buy new furniture. Staff is pretty good, although not very helpful. It's better to compare prices with Amazon before buying
The Home Depot in Torrance has been great over the years I have been going there. Many helpful advisors and pretty good prices. Returns are easy when you make a mistake or something is not right.
Great site. I get things for my home here all the time. Just love the selection. Shipping is practically instant also. Can't go wrong with that. Definitely recommend them.
Email is most of my information and they didn't get back to me, I'm too old to walk in a store or wait on hold. I though they had this online deal worked out by now.
Horrible experience. 2857 store. Took 35 minutes to pick up online order. Lady named Lisa was rude and disrespectful just because I told her I did not want a product in a broken box.
Home Depot has had some really good deals on line that I could not find in their store, But the main draw back was very slow delivery. This was on outdoor Garden items.
They Cannot even give you a 4 hour window, for when delivery happens until 6:00 the evening before - Essentially holding your entire day hostage until the night before - Had I known this I would not have bought here - I am so disappointed with these big box stores - Home Depot and Lowes wil not get any further fuiture business from me - Ace Hardware, where they understand how to treat customers will be my newest best friend. For my Refrigerator and Dishwasher purchases, Famous Tate will get that business!
Tip for consumers:
Service here very poor - policies NOT intended for Good Customer experience

I bought 7 gc from varies places on 12/23 as Christmas gifts, including 1 to HD. I've received replacement cards from 6 of them, absolutely no problems, some I even received same day. I just got an e-mail from Customer Service Rep Iris C stating I'm crap out of luck, there is absolutely nothing they will do for me. I even had the FULL GC #, given to me by Kroger, where I purchased these cards. I'm utterly speechless! DONE EVER BUYING ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT! There's a Lowes right down the road, I'm sure they'll appreciate my business! Also, I would give negative stars if I could but had to give 1 to post my review.
I ordered a small fireplace heater! Well it stopped heating! Took it back! And they exchanged it! No questions asked! Very nice to deal with company's that stand behind there products!
In July 2021, we signed the paperwork with Carlton Stone, Senior Design *******@Home Depot, for window replacement/installation project in our summer house in Monticello, NY. I opened a Home Depot credit card as part of the deal and began repaying the deposit for this project (09/08 - $500; 10/07/ - $200; 11/09 - $200; $900.00 all together). In August, we got our windows measured by another Home Depot employee. In October, we scheduled the date for installation - 11/20, Saturday. We were very specific about a Saturday appointment as we live in Brooklyn and can only come every other Saturday. For the past three weeks (before 11/20), we would get reminders a few times a week - via text messages, e-mails, and voice mails - about the upcoming installation date asking us to be in the house between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. and reminding us about the importance of removing everything 3 feet away from the windows. As law abiding and loyal customers, we came Friday night (11/19) to follow the instructions. At 8:00 (!) a.m., we got a phone call from an installation department manager who told us that they had to cancel an appointment since they didn't have installation crew... He did not apologize and failed to answer when I asked him if he had found out about that issue at 7:55 a.m. on Saturday. We were upset to the point my husband had to take his high blood pressure medication and pain relief pills. It was so unacceptable and unprofessional on the Home Depot!
Tip for consumers:
Do not recommend Home Depot window installation service.
I've used HomeDepot and Lowes the last many years for materials to remodel our 37 rooms at our lodge near Yellowstone. Lowes gets a 5 star rating as their long term 24 mo. No interest is easier to use and they still give me the veterans discount where HD offers one or the other and they have to make a call to get 24 mo approval so it takes more time. However I need to use both places at times like I will this week when ordering $10-15,000 of materials to remodel 6 more rooms this winter when our lodge is closed. Just be sure to not miss any payments or the interest is retroactive to day one at some ridiculous rate of 24% or something! This program lets us get the rooms done in the off season and pay for them when cash flow is large during the summer season. Works great! Update 9-28-16 Another trip to both stores and this time HD gave us a 12% discount on our total purchase of $3600+ at their contractor desk. Many of these items were still priced with their Labor Day discounts. We were very impressed so two weeks later we ordered another $1600 in sliding doors and windows. Another good experience as they called it a continuation of our same project and got us the same 2 yrs no interest financing!
