My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
Awesome company- great products - well worth it! I have been a long time customer and will continue to be.
Ordered 25 blinds for a new home. We measured & HD cut. Received them all with free shipping. Very happy customer
I bought many tools there, only things that did not worked well was a black and decker product, but they gave my money back.
I enjoy ordering from them online. Prices are very nice and btw they have free delivery for the orders above $400
This is where my son buys all his supplies when he needs to do repairs in the house. They are fantastic!
Its web ad on Luxor Folding Bed. All hoax no merchandise.
It should get Zero overall rating. The delivery times also
Always missed.
Feb 26 Purchased refrigerator online for our FL vacation condo. Needed it right away but they are not Lowe's, so it was over a 9 day wait. Told the guy who called to set up delivery, Condo office opens at 8am. March 5th. Yes ma'am, we will be sure to tell the driver.
Of course, they show up at 7:30am & I told the driver to go directly to our condo, that I now had to arrange for the guests to let him in since no one can understand 8:00am when office opens to issue a key. Instead, he acted as if he could care less. Duh, I am just the driver, I don't no nuttin. He ended up going to the office, and then leaving and placing the blame on me that the office was not open. I called for them to return but of course, NO ma'am. You will have to wait another week! I said just cancel the order. Still NO refund and it is March 21st! Filed with Better Business Bureau. Getting the run around and nothing but lies. Will never, ever buy from Home Depot again. A small portion of our payment was by gift card. You would think that after being treated like this, that they would issue the total refund to our credit card. NO ma'am, we have to send another card in the mail to you. UGH
AND called Lowe's that same Saturday March 5th, they delivered exact same refrigerator, for LESS, the next day Sunday, March 6th. Best service so DON'T BOTHER WITH NO SERVICE HOME DEPOT
As I read these reviews I laugh... if ordering online from Amazon you are not worried about identity theft (like you are when I.D. is swiped?)... it is swiped now at returns to keep costs down from thefts of customers. By swiping your I.D. it is simply registering your info with how many returns are made and preventing a person from selling the gift card for drugs or money at a gift card exchange center. I learned about this trick years ago doing loss prevention. As For flooring being the wrong choice and not being able to cancel order, that is the customers responsibility. ALWAYS double check order before confirming. Guessing someone just changed their mind? Anyway, a simple return and reorder will work, talk to flooring they can help get the order right. And a new hose for washer hookup actually does tell you when ordering online. A little box pops up to check or uncheck for the hoses, and that box has a section to explain why. If you use a hose that isn't new and can't be verified as new, then it becomes the fault of the installer if it should break, split or not connect thus causing flooding or water damage. Kitchen and bath remodels are appts only as they generally take over an hour to complete. If you want to discuss kitchen designs on the spot then call ahead and see if they have an opening. As for Lowe's... good luck! Its a walmart owned business, people I've talked to, including those who work as any type of contractor, go to Lowe's last. As HD price matches identical items with an ad, most prefer to shop there as products, customer service and the drive for customer satisfaction is far superior than the walmart mentality. Reading some of these reviews though only proves maybe Lowe's IS the place for some ppl!
DO NOT ODER APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT!
I made the huge mistake of ordering a washing machine and refrigerator from Homedepot.com. My Fridge is not working correctly and I needed one quickly. Weeks after my order I received a call that said the washing machine will take another month to be delivered by the fridge is ready at the shipper. BUT- Home Depot's policy TO SAVE THEM MONEY is to only ship items together. I pleased but they said it's their policy- AND THEN THEY SAID- If I cancel the washing machine I can get the refrigerator delivered right away, so i did. Now, the day of delivery I call Homedepot to check the status and Iw as told, we're sorry... but the entire order was cancelled. And we didn't send you an email to let you know. I spoke to their resolution department... they admitted in their notes, it clearly says CANCEL WASHING MACHINE ONLY. And yet, they canceled the entire order. I spoke to the resolution department and said, this was 100% not my fault and I need Home Depot to get me that Fridge. They said it's back ordered for another month and a half... I demanded some form or restitution- they said they could give me a Home Depot gift card to purchase a "dorm fridge" for a few months... for a family of 6. So happy Home Depot has decided to save money by losing me forever as a customer! Buy from Best Buy or PC Richards or LOWES... Home Depot does not care AT ALL for their customers and the woman I spoke to from corporate resolutions proved that- they do not care.
I went to Home Depot in Port Orange, FL and found a pfister shower/tub faucet that was on clearance. I took a picture of the item, and then went to Lowes. I went back to Home Depot the next day to purchase the faucet, but the store was out, but redirected me to the Home Depot in Daytona Beach, after calling they had one left and would leave at the service desk for me to pick up. I left the Port Orange store and drove to the Daytona Beach store. The item was in deed at the service desk, but at $23.00 higher than the one in Port Orange. They would not honor the price from the Port Orange store. I was told by the manager that they do not price match other Home Depot stores, not do they price match Homedepot.com either. I left the item there. I went online and found that the online price at home depot.com was $10.00 less than the Daytona Beach store price. I called the 800 number customer service and spoke with Jasmine who told me the same thing. "Sorry, I understand, but..." From the Home Depot website I copied this exactly "If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from any retailer, we will match the price and beat it by 10%. Just bring the ad, printout or photo with you to the register for validation". Well, I brought the photo with me and they told me NO, they will not match. I was in the process of having them do a bathroom remodel job - over $8k, which I immediately cancelled. If this is the way Home Depot treats their customers, I will no longer be a customer. EVER. I knew there was a reason I seldom shopped at Home Depot, and this just confirms why. I will stay with Lowes from now on.
Delivery and installation or purchased dishwasher. I purchased a dishwasher from the Evergreen, Colorado Home Depot store #1535. When I purchased the dishwasher the sales person went at length to tell us about the delivery process, which included we needed to make sure the dishwasher was installed and working before the delivery driver(s) leaves. The delivery was done on April 8th, 2021. The driver said they don't do the install. We showed them the paperwork which included highlighted paperwork that the sales person gave to us highlighting install and working. The driver left. I called the Evergreen store after calling the service toll free line and not being able to get past the phone menus. I spoke first with a sales person in appliances and was told she couldn't do anything. I was transferred to an assistant manager. He was going to give me a new service install for no cost. But, it didn't end there. I needed to purchase an install kit. We had a professional plumber install new dishwasher plumbing before we had our cabinets installed and now I wouldn't have the install done for at least a week due to waiting for the kit, even though we had new plumbing. My husband spoke with this same manager later in the day at the store and this manager refused to honor what he had told me with waiving the install fee. So then we would need to pay a $120 install fee and the cost of the dishwasher install kit another $25 plus tax. Needless to say my husband purchased one part that he needed that was less than $5 and left. I then researched online their installation "What you need to know" See attached screenshot. Enjoy free professional delivery and installation services on select appliance purchases $396 or more. I paid $579.00 plus tax for the dishwasher.
Tip for consumers:
Home Depot did not honor their installation policy. Manager had attitude.

I ordered a vanity from Home Depot. It arrived destroyed, so I sent it back. I ordered it again with gift card credit this time. It stole the money from the gift card and then canceled the order from their side. They said they didn't know why and would investigate and return my call. They never did. I spent 2 weeks trying to recoup the money they stole and finally got most of it, not all of it, back. They pocketed the remaining stolen money.
I ordered the vanity for the 3rd time since now I only had Home Depot gift cards, and it arrived broken again. This time I sent it back before the truck could leave. Home Depot still had the money from the emptied gift card from this most recent order. They said they couldn't send it back due to "system issues". I've spent a month and a half trying to order the vanity. I've spent over a week trying to get back my money they stole. When I write Customer Service, they say they're still having "system issues" and close the conversation if I push it. When I call, they say they're still having "system issues" and hang up if I push it.
Between all 4 orders they've cumulatively stolen over $1400, wasted at least 12 full hours on the phone with me, and caused me to miss my construction date, meaning I'll have to hire another contractor to finish the job. At this point, I'm just going to go ahead and say that they're trying to steal the money. They've made 3 claims of investigations and 10 claims of "we'll call you back" and never followed up on a single one. All these claims are backed up by Home Depot itself who doesn't deny them but instead just kept the money and the vanity and keep repeating "system issues" for weeks and I guess assumes they get to keep the money now.

The Home Depot at 7899 W Flagler Street, Miami has HORRIBLE service. I'm doing a project at my house and during the last 2 months I've been going to this store which is the one closest to me. Last week I had to wait over an hour to get someone to help me order 2 doors. I made a complaint at the customer service desk and asked to talk to the manager. They told me that the manager's name was Michael and I waited an extra 40 minutes to talk to him but he never showed up. Finally, someone showed up to take the order of the doors after waiting for almost 2 hours. Also, on November 20th I ordered kitchen cabinets, and I was told that the order was going to be ready on November 28th. I called today to check on the status and I was told that the arrival was on December 9th but not guaranteed. I was very upset and went to another Home Depot and they had the cabinets in stock. I then tried to cancel the original order and I was told that I have to wait for the arrival of Dec 9th to asked for a refund. This is not the first time I have problems at the West Flagler store. Their customer service is horrible, their staff are often in groups taking to each other, they don't know anything, they are lazy and don't make an effort to help their customers and sometimes they are rude to costumers. I'm NEVER going to that store again.
Home Depot shows her true colors and we're not talking about paints. Went there to get a kitchen and 2 bathrooms remodeled the employees had no time for me nobody else in the store the gentleman who was there was working on paperwork I could care less we sat around and waited and he never asked for our name or phone number Home Depot lost $23,000 remodeling job from appliances flooring lighting bathroom tubs sinks and vanities I took my business to Lowe's in Murphy North Carolina they created is very quickly and we decided to have Paul the work done there it seems like everybody at Home Depot's socializes I'm glad Home Depots doing so well I will never buy another thing from Home Depot as long as there's Ace Hardware in Blairsville and lows in North Carolina. It's time for a manager and employees change and certain departments corporate will be notified tomorrow we'll see if they like it that they lost a $23,000 remodeling job they're not the only game in town so be sure you look before you deal with Home Depot I will never go back to Home Depot if they don't want my $23,000 they certainly don't want my small item purchases either.
I would post a no start review if it were possible. I have no problem with the items I purchased (or tried to purchase) so I guess 1 star is acceptable. I made a purchase online and in the Florence SC store location. The item I ordered online did not arrive on the date that I was given when I ordered so I had to have someone else pick it up for me as I had to work on that day (having previously taken the day off to pick up item on original delivery date) I contacted customer service and asked how to change the pick up person on my order and was told that I could not change the pick up person and I would have to pick the item up myself and I would have to do so within a 7 day time frame of the arrival at my local store. I explained that I could not pick up the item and that it was thru no fault of my own but because the item was delivered on the specified date. I was told sorry but you have to pick it up or get a refund, no exceptions. To say the least I was very upset about this as I had made a large purchase from the store to have my bathroom remolded. I tried to change my schedule but could not. In desperation I phone the local store and after a bit was able to talk to someone sympathetic to my problem and they arranged for my contractor to pick up my items within the specified 7 day period. I later went to the store and picked out several large items (a vanity and toilet and other bathroom items). In total I spent almost $2500. 00. When my contractor went to pick up my items he was told that the vanity I purchased was not in stock! How was it not in stock? I went to the store and a clerk checked that they had each item in stock before I purchased. I paid for the items (I did not order them) Yet at pick up they don't have the item. I even bought one that I really didn't want because it was in stock. Yet by magic they don't have it. So I have a bathroom torn out and no sink and vanity to put back. Oh but Home Depot gave me a refund for it so what more do I want? (What a person claiming to be the manager actually said to my sister!) Nice products, crap service. Maybe Lowe's isn't so bad after all!
Tip for consumers:
Don't order anything. If not in stock and you take with you, don't do it!

This review is for customer service.
Rochester MN store is unorganized. I live 1.5 hours (1 way) and have been called in to pick up my items 3 times. Once I get there... 1st wrong everything. 2nd customer service is rude and has no time to help fix the problem. Jose is the worst helpful employee ever. He has attitude. He called and said my order is in and I needed to pick up right away. (They didn't have room to store my order for a couple days.) I drove up there with truck and trailer and not all items there, some broken and some not even the right item I ordered. Jose (manager) acted as if it was to much work to fix my problem. I ended up going to a young part time gentleman that help me after 1.5 hours waiting for someone to help me. Jose claims to be the manager but he should be fired. Home depot was the worst place to order vynal fencing, worst place for customer service, worst place to get order correct. I wish I would have known... I would have paid the 2-3 $ more for each item at Lowes, Menards, or Fleet Farm. I have never shopped at home Depot before and I totally know why now. Not a good experience and I still don't have the correct posts. Have been back and forth with Home Depot customer service and Jose for the last 1.5 months... I should cancel my order and go elsewhere. I have NEVER been treated so rudely and inconsiderate of my time and cost of gas. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT HOME DEPOT AGAIN. I will tell everyone I speak to what a terrible experience it is and tell them to pay the extra money and go somewhere else. Saving a couple hundred dollars is not worth the hassle, belittling, and treated as if I am bothering them. I have spent about 5000 dollars there and that is how u are treated. NOT GOOD PLACE!
Home Depot on line completely failed us and they have yet to respond. We bought a dishwasher including install over the phone after shopping on line. We confirmed the installation and delivery date. When that date came they dropped the dishwasher off as scheduled but said they were not the installers (after our tenant took the day of to wait at home for the install). We called Home Depot and they apologized, admitted they were wrong, and we rescheduled the install and followed up again to confirm several times and they said we were all set up for the 2nd install. By the way - they said this about the first install as well. The day of the second planned install they never showed up. They never even called. Just blew us off and again our tenant waited at the house for them. About 2 weeks had gone by with no dishwasher and the new one sitting in our kitchen and the old one not removed or working. We called them many times. So the evening of the 2nd install failure and after considerable phone time and getting the run around they said they can not install in our state! We had even confirmed that originally with them and they said they could install in our state. We were shocked that all of a sudden they could not install in our state. They told us to get it installed and then ask for reimbursement. We did that. They have yet to reimburse us for the install or the fee for the removal of the dish washer. This whole episode was hours on the phone, and over a half a month between the first planned install until we finally did it at their request on our own. Again - they are now completely blowing us off. And they have admitted they were wrong! Awful awful on line business. Awful. Do not trust what they say! We feel so ripped off! It's seems like fraud because we would have bought the dishwasher somewhere else if we knew we would have to deal with our own install and wait and wait and wait. We only bought it from Home Depot due to the promised ease of delivery and install the same day! DO NOT TRUST HOME DEPOT!
We have one 1/2 mile to the Left of us, in Colonia, and one 1/2 mile to the right of us in Woodbridge. Its always clean, A lot of parking. EASY
I shopped for a Washer Machine at HomeDepot, They don' t keep Washer Machines in the Store. So I had to wait two weeks before it arrives. I said, that's fine. I can wait two weeks. So I waited two weeks. They called me the day before and scheduled the time for delivery to make sure I would be at home. I was getting excited. My washer Machine is coming. Yayyyy... NOT! So the day off when I thought my Brand New Washer Machine was coming, they call me and say this ( Unfortunately, we can't bring your Washer Machine out today. We have to wait a Month for our next delivery. I asked them why do I have to wait? How about giving me the address and I come pick it up? They said they can't do that. So I asked them why do I have to wait that long? You know what the answer was. Well we don't have enough deliveries in your area for your type of washer machine. My thought was this. Then why do they even offer delivery then? I was like I am not going to wait a whole month to receive my washer Machine. So I had to drive all the way back to Home Depot where I brought the Washer Machine which was over 1.5 hrs aways one way. 3 hrs away two ways just so I can get my money back. Total of 60 Dollars times 2. I spend over 120.00 Dollars in Gas and of course I got hungry so I had to buy me some food, which was over 60 dollars both times I went up their. I wasted over 180.00 Dollars of my money messing around with Home Depot over my washer Machine they couldn't even deliver to me. Worse experience I ever had. What home depot you may ask? It's the one on Post Road in Indianapolis, Indiana. The worse experience I have ever had. Now I will shop at lowes from now on. Thanks Home Depot for disappointing me.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. 3 weeks ago I purchased a washing machine from Home Depot. Little did I know that Home Depot farms their installation out to Temco. Temco's installers did not connect the water hose properly to the washer which resulted in 1 inch of water all over the first floor of my condo by the next morning, less than 18 hrs after they installed the washer. I filed a claim with Home Depot which they farmed out to Temco as the installer. Temco has denied my claim as I don't have 'in the moment footage of the leak" and "tampered" with the connection before they could see it and therefore cannot prove it is their installers fault (ie. First instinct was not to take a photo but to try to stop the water leak and further flooding of my house and getting to my neighbor's house as I live in a condo). This is insane since I never had water in my house before they came and the water was coming from the washer hose!
Home Depot & Temco have been absolutely useless in this process and are taking no responsibility to solve this or take liability for the issue. If Home Depot farms their deliveries out to a 3rd party that is not the consumer's issue and Home Depot should be claiming liability for their subcontractors work and customers should not have to be dealing with their subcontractors who they did not purchase from.
I have over $50K in damages to my home (walls had to be torn out, kitchen cabinets torn out, tiles damaged, all appliances removed) and cannot live in my house properly with no appliances. Over 3 weeks since the incident and I am no closer to a resolution and nothing has been done to get my home back in order.
So note to consumers, buyer beware if you ever purchase anything from Home Depot, they do not know what they are doing for a simple washing machine install and good luck getting them to help you or take liability for any issues they, or their subcontractors, cause. And even if your house is flooding, take pictures and videos "in the moment" or you too could be stuck in this type of nightmare.
Shopping at the Killeen store the most helpful person was the cashier Shateara. She must like her job.
(Update to update: Ended up canceling my order because HD kept dropping the ball. In the end, it seemed that all the "Resolutions" Department did was hand the matter back to Reddaway Trucking. And since the incompetence of the trucking company was the crux of the problem, nothing was done to resolve this. I waited a couple more weeks, made a few more calls to HD, and... nothing. I got a phone call today that was identified, by my Caller ID, as coming from the trucking company. But when I answered, the caller said nothing. Just breathed into the line. I phoned HD and asked for Resolutions. Was asked too many questions by the rude customer service rep before he would transfer me, even though I had a case number. And then he transferred me to a STORE, instead of Resolutions. I decided that I had truly entered one of the circles of Hell when I ordered from Home Depot, and that I might be drawn further toward the center if I continued with this. So I phone again and canceled the order. NEVER AGAIN! How in the wold does this company stay in business?)
(Update two days later: HD has not gotten back to me, and they PROMISED, and I am on endless hold waiting to speak to the Resolutions department. Unbelievable.)
Quel surprise: no one at Home Depot followed up on the promised "rescue" of my shipment from the evil trucking company that has it and refuses to deliver it. So I had to waste more time phoning HD Resolutions Department. The short story is that no one knows for sure where my shipment is. I might still be with Reddaway. Probably. HD assumes that it is. But I won't find out until tomorrow. And then I'll have to wait for what, another week? Until another trucking company can go and pick it up from Reddaway and then bring it to me. Eventually. Maybe. I hope.
Adding insult to injury, when the the HD employee phoned me back, after phoning Reddaway, he told me the call was being recorded. He over explained everything, during the call, and was OTT nice, so the recording was obviously for their legal protection. Bunch of scoundrels! They are well aware of their company's poor performance on residential deliveries. Yet they act like this mess is an exception. Look at all the one-star the reviews, HD!
I have been promised delivery on three days (four days of waiting), and every day was a no-show. How do these people stay in business? HD says they cannot control the trucking company, but the trucking company works for HD. I have spent ages on the phone waiting for HD agents, only to have theme do absolutely zip. Ridiculous!
Update: After third no-show, HD resolution center's solution is to "rescue" (their word) my shipment from Reddaway and place it with another carrier. Reddaway told HD that they could not get a truck up my private road. That is a lie, I know, because I had informed them that I needed a smaller truck (my road is accessible for a 26' bobtail truck, but no larger) before the first delivery appointment. I was informed, by Reddaway, that they always send their smaller tucks to deliver in my neighborhood. And did it really take them three delivery attempts to figure out they couldn't get here? No. They never tried to drive up here. Upshot is that I will wait at least another week to get my merchandise.
Never order anything from Home Depot for home delivery! Or even for delivery to a store. It will be a total waste of your time. I have had issues with HD losing smaller orders in the past (one of them was to be delivered to a store), but the latest debacle is the worst nonsense I've gotten from them.
I ordered two enormous, rigid pond liners, to be delivered by an outside freight carrier (Reddaway Trucking, which is also thoroughly incompetent). The trucking company gave me a four-hour delivery appointment, and then never showed up. I phoned them and got nothing but confusion, so then I tried phoning Home Depot. They called the trucking company, which said the items would be delivered on another day. Just to make things more frustrating, the Home Depot agent told me that I did not need to be present for delivery, as it was just a curbside drop off, so the four-hour appointment for which I had driven to the property and waited all afternoon had been unnecessary! I demanded a refund of my shipping fee, for the missed delivery, and I was refunded.
The next day, no one had contacted me about a future delivery date, so I again phoned HD. The agent told me the items would be delivered that day. Once again, the truck never showed up. So I called HD again, and got the runaround. Asked for a supervisor, and was refused. So at the moment I am out about $500 and have lost a day and a half to waiting for a delivery that may or may not be the correct items. That last detail refers to the fact that the trucking company has my shipment logged as "window coverings," instead of pond liners. They would not confirm the size of the box or crate, which might give me an idea whether the correct items were shipped. What they told me was that I should refuse the shipment if it is the wrong thing.
I cannot believe that a company as huge as HD could be so disorganized and clueless. You would think that any trucking company HD contracted with would go out of their way to provide good service, so as to keep the contract. Yet Reddaway Trucking thinks nothing of just blowing off deliveries. And HD is fine with that? Amazing.
Ordered refrigerator and after 3 tries, I didn't receive it. I canceled after a month, and bought from another place.

My first attempt to "save time" with on line ordering was a total disaster. Took 37 minutes while several employees called asked others for directions on how to find an on line order. Also, LONG line for "fast pickup" as it is the same line as the returns line! I decided, "things happen", and tried an on line order again recently, 4 or so months since the first negative experience, and noticed they seem to now have a
Separate line for pick up. Second time MUCH WORSE. Almost 45 min. Wait after I had printed off my email that the order was "ready for pickup" and still no one had any idea where the orders for pick up are kept. Some thought in the return area, others thought they were on an enclosed "porch" like area at the entrance. Finally I had to leave due to an appointment. To shorten this, went back TWICE AFTER the first and still, no one could find my order. To their credit, after my calls and email to them, the manager DID call me personally. Told me they were cancelling my order and suggested I go on line and ORDER AGAIN. I really needed this trimmer/edger so I went to Loews and just bought the item (did not do on line order in an attempt to "save" time at Loews). About three weeks AFTER all this, I received an email from HD, reminding me that I had never come to pick up my order? Guess three times with my "order ready for pick up" email in hand didn't count? I was thinking "who's on first at HD"? Overall, my experiences at a range of HD stores in my general area have been constant employee turn over I base that so many employees who seem to be confused about where things are in general, or not knowing various policies, etc.), and not happy in general.
Some are very friendly and helpful, others seem VERY defensive and hostile at the most simple question? Guess that's just the "luck" or "not" of hiring and training? I do wonder how Ace does such a perfect job of hiring (do they just "fire" someone on the spot if they are rude to customers? What I hate most is I am a stockholder, a small one of course, but hate what I am seeing lately at HD.
