This is my first bad review about hosting. On December 14,2019, I ordered a vpn plan from hostwinds. From the beginning there was a problem because I ordered a server from the Netherlands and got from the USA.
On the same day I bought 2 other hosting one from Hostinger and one Cloudways in order to check which hosting would be the best for my online store. Hostwinds were definitely the worst. The next day I sent a request to delete the hosting. I didn't log in to the client area anymore and I was convinced that hosting was deleted as per my request.
After a month I was charged again for the next month. I have requested a refund. I received that a month earlier they sent me an email that I have to confirm the request to cancel hosting again (unfortunately the email went into spam).
I sent them three more requests and confirm that I want to terminate hosting and ask to erase all my personal and paypal data from their system. On one query I got the answer that the request is incomplete and on 2 other support tickets I didn't get the answer and the tickets are on hold. To date, I have not received any refund. And the worst thing is that they still have access to my payment details and I'm afraid that again next month they will be charged for hosting costs. Avoid Hostwind

1. Hosting prices are below average it is good for me.
2. Domains are very expensive. I used godaddy.
3. Support of Wordpress - yes. It is good option.

Hostwinds offers a great price on domain name registration - so be happy you can get the domain name you want at the same place as pretty affordable hosting.

The customer service is fast and amazing. I need to migrate my domain to new hosting, they do it for me without any cost, and they also respond to every reply when I need

What I can't understand is why password requires the minimum number of characters, the maximum number of characters, and which characters are not supported. These cannot be clearly answered.

The customer support provided by HostWinds is truly impressive. Their team has consistently demonstrated a high level of professionalism, knowledge, and responsiveness. Hostwinds is a joke. The first thing they did when migrating my sites - they lost the data base of two of my sites (which I still cant recover). Now, when they failed to deliver what they advertise online - "fast sites" (my sites were so slowly that I could not do business), instead of apologizing and giving me some credit, they made it difficult to close my account and now are trying to collect $30 for "back up storage fee". (They charge me $30 a month for back up storage + $1!?). The new hosting company where I am at now charges ZERO dollars for cloud back up storage!) They intentionally do not even bother to respond to the opened case with PAYPAL in order to further delay and frustrate me as a customer. Smart move! I regret getting involved with hostwinds. One of my serious business mistakes. Based on my experience - they do not care for the business of the customer. They deeply care, though, for the prompt billing of the customer. That is for sure. It does not matter whether the customer understands what he/she is billed about, why they increase the price of a service etc. As long as they receive their payments everything is fine. I was forced to move to a different hosting since their support could not find a solution for the slow speed issue and the 3rd party expert I was working with said "The support people do not know what they are doing. We need to look for a solution elsewhere". That was what I did. The hostwinds person who is handling my cancelation ticket is arrogant and disrespectful. It is a shame!

Nice, but also need to be improved. Must IP address could not use in China, I tried 8 times to find an IP address, which can be connect in China. That was a terrible experience.

The support team is very kind, communicative, they answer very fast, and they are not a bot.
The main Dashboard is very easy to handle everything is transparent and easy to use.

They are awesome!

The price is reasonable and the space is suitable, it is very suitable for my project, I hope there will be more discounts and more space in the future.

Their pricing is very competitive, many options tailored specifically to your hosting needs. They can definitely find an effective solution for anyone.

I ran into some issues with the domain name transfer, tech support was very responsive and always replied to emails within 1 hour. Great experience so far.

Heard good things from another site review, still can't believe you can get VPS for $5/mo. Although I might need to upgrade soon after putting Apache, MariaDB, PHP, it's only 1 CPU and 1GB RAM so it seems a bit slow during heavy intensive work. The 30GB storage seems to used up fast but then again I have a lot of photos I'm trying to archive/add. Overall very satisfy with the service.
