Installed the unit wouldn't run called company they said it was the relay board on the unit inside they sent the one for the outside unit because the manager got a hold of the ticket and changed it to the outside unit. Tech installed the board on outside same problem. They are now going to expedite the inside board. I'm wondering who will pay for three service calls to get it fixed.
Everything was delivered as promised. I used tech support to make sure I ordered everything needed, but no insulation tape was included. The line set fittings did not fit the fittings on the condenser unit, I had to hire an HVAC contractor to come out and braze on fittings to make connections. Worst of all the units are not working, when I called tech support they said it must be the HVAC contractors fault. I am still hopeful this get resolved but not confident I will get much help from HVAC Direct.
Everything arrived as promised. Unfortunately the 5/8 copper tubing is impossible to bend. It got kinked and i tried to call but no, nyet, nada customer service. I had to buy a new 5/8 length of copper tubing and insulation locally. And have a technician install it. The system is definitely not diy.
I needed a dual zone mini-split system for my mom's ALQ "Tiny home". I wasnt sure what I needed excatly but the customer service representative "Tatiana" was very helpful and knowledgeable and within about 10 minutes she had everything I needed in my cart and ready to go. She suggested the fiberglass pad, additional lineset materials, through-wall sleeves etc. I ordered it all and it was exactly what I needed. I am very thankful for such high quality customer service!
Ordered $2,800 worth of products on 6/16/2021, they took my money out of my account right away. Website says ships within 2-3 days and that's the only reason I ordered from them in the first place. Now it's 6/29/2021 and nothing has shipped, still says processing. I'm not happy about this and want others to be aware and not be fooled by their claims of 2-3 days shipping. I don't care if they are experiencing high volume of orders, don't trick people into buying your products with false advertising of quick shipping. I would've waited on a local company if I knew the truth of how long it would take. Hvac Direct needs to address this issue and make things right. Very frustrating experience. I will update and change review as soon as I get my order.
Terrible customer service. Spent 1800 on this unit and because it was packaged incorrectly it caved in. My only guess is that someone tightened the straps down over the top way too tight which bent in the A-coil corners pulling it down and caving in the condenser. They said when I called them "No worries well get you all taken care of. " their way of taking care of me is offering me 150 dollars. At first they tried to skate away by offering me 75 dollars. After I said no they offered me 150. I dont want your money I want an undamaged product. I just hope this post keeps someone else from making the same mistakes I did and trusting this shady organization
I've ordered at least on four separate occasions from HVAC direct They constantly hold up the orders trying to sell me additional equipment that I do not need. I've been doing this for over 20 years and have a full understanding of the components that I need to install a system. Orders are late and service is not helpful. Will be taking my business somewhere else.
The good: Loved the direct pricing model and sure I saved much over buying through a contractor. Free shipping on such a large order was a plus and the equipment arrived pretty quickly for having to come through a specialty shipper (as very large items do).
The bad: Condenser unit arrived with a small dent, aesthetic only, no functional impact, and the wrong pin connector, but the HVACDirect technical team and customer service team made it right.
The customer should keep in mind, sometimes, the issues occur at the factory, like my situation, where the unit arrived boxed. I assume the damage occurred prior to HVACDIRECT's handling, but regardless, it made things right so I am pleased. Communication wasn't always as prompt as I would prefer, but it never said "no, we won't stand behind the product we sell or help you feel satisfied." And to me, that made the difference. Thus, I would shop here again.
The condensing unit was damaged upon arrival. The combustible floor base kit will not fit without significant modification. To date I have been unable to contact anyone at HVAC Direct to try and correct this.
We placed an order for 3 A/C condensers, coils and accompanying supplies.
The rep we were dealing with, who was initially responsive with pricing and options, ended up ghosting us when we went to order. So, we called the main number and got our order placed.
Despite checking several times, our order hadn't shipped after 1.5 weeks and calling 3 x's we were informed that the products we ordered hadn't arrived from the manufacturer.
The rep I worked with got right on the situation and stayed in contact until it was fully resolved. He got our items swapped out eith instock items and expedited the delivery. It arrived on the 3rd business day so our maintenance team could get them installed before the next heat wave.
I was a little learly to order this online. However, I was very pleased. My 4th gen DIY Mini split arrived just over a week and half after ordering. The order arrived damage free. I had HVAC in my garage that afternoon! I spoke with the technical team on the website about exact features and they were knowledgeable and put togehter a shopping cart that contained what I needed exactly and a discount! VERY PLEASED!
This unit was easy to install and runs so quiet. I had another (less expensive) brand that didn't last 2 years before the fan motor went bad. It was a very difficult process to replace the motor and the replacement part was bad. That's when I researched the procedure to change a fan motor on other brands and learned that Mitsubishi models have a much easier repair process. Mitsubishi is more expensive but well worth the investment for performance. The fact that their warranty is longer than others should tell you everything.
The compressor of my unit came busted and won't start even after using a booster. Have been trying to get a replacement and wasn't until almost a month after that I was able to get in contact with a representative who can help me. Saw the pictures of the damaged while on the phone with me but wouldn't give me a replacement just said that I will get a response on the email were a sent the pictures. Very disappointed with the situation.
Bought a Goodman furnace, ac and condenser. I ordered a knockdown vent kit and return vent kit along with the furnace system.
I called the next day and canceled the return air and knock down kit. A couple days later I get a shipping notification on the items I canceled. The items I asked to get canceled were never canceled off the order. So furnace and AC comes on one delivery and another delivery for the items I wanted canceled.
I called and asked if we could call the shipper and refuse shipment. Was told it's just easier if I refuse it. I get the order delivered without any notification so I couldn't refuse delivery.
Cost 300 to return parts.
Furnace and AC work great. AC Direct is Very helpful when calling about questions about the system.
Very disappointed by the return failure.
I'd be very caution ordering any side items to go along with the furnace. Your better served going local!

Ordering and delivery was exactly as described. Just waiting for the hvac guys to do the final installation, and then see how this puppy runs.
The site says ships within 2-3 days... it is 2 weeks later and it still has not shipped. No updates, no communication at all. When I call in, they never give a straight answer. We are HOT in more than one way.

It's been over a month since I received the damaged AC unit. Have not received a replacement yet and no one has responded from company with any updates!
