The buying and paying process was great. The unit arrived packaged well and undamaged as far as I can tell. Unfortunately the salesman recommended a wrong part. That's when things became more difficult and communication went down hill. I spoke with a few different people about the issue but they were slow to understand and respond. Eventually they issued an RMA but wanted me to pay shipping even though they recommended the wrong part. After some back and forth and documentation of the prior communications, they paid for the return shipping. Then the actual refund took another email and a call even though the tracking showed they had received the return a week prior.
Finally, I ordered the correct part, but because it was a low dollar under, I had to pay over $30 in shipping (the original was free shipping). Granted, I did not push for free shipping.
The last problem may not be on hvacdirect, but rather the manufacturer. The correct extension line set (what I should have ordered to begin with) did not come with the couplers. It was supposed to as described online and in the packaging. It was essentially the same as the incorrect part, but with a correct part number and box. The box did not appear tampered with, therefore I think the missing couplers is on the manufacturer (Perfect Aire). I have reached out to both about the issue and both have been slow (about a week now) to respond and rectify the issue. Meanwhile, I have my house torn apart and 90 degree temps on the way.
This was pretty much an exact replacement for my previous system which lasted 14 years. Only $4K vs. $20K estimate for a new split system installed by 3rd party... No brainer! Thankyou HVAC-Direct for a great website and easy delivery.
I bought a 5 ton heat pump from HVAC direct for about half the cost of the company I installed for. I was Leary of the company because of the lower prices. 2 years later we had a power surge that wiped out the mother board... one phone call to the service rep... BOOM... new control board in the mail... system back up and running like new. At NO CHARGE... I am freakin IMPRESSED folks. Excellent equipment... Excellent staff... GOOD JOB HVAC DIRECT!
I purchased a Clean Comfort 22" x 32" - Perfect Platform AHU/Furnace Upflow Base. I confirmed with the chatbot that it was in stock. Most other suppliers and local supply houses were on the manufacturer's backorder. HVACDirect had it in stock and shipped quickly. Unfortunately, the item was shipped to the billing address. Apparently, it was delivered so quickly, that it didn't generate a shipment notification. I worked with Carolyn in customer support who helped me find where the item was and assisted with a price match. Very helpful once we figured out where the item was located - product availability and service 5 stars. Shipping 3 stars - very fast, but lacked accuracy; I had to drive over 100 miles to get the item to the jobsite.
With that great pricing came the free shipping witch helped a great deal. I love it! Oh and you guys too!
Once again, I have only high praise for HVACDirect. There care in the ordering process, the great packaging for shipment, and the quick delivery all combine for a great experience.
The unit took a little time to get here but it arrived double covered. There was some forklift damaged but not enough to cause a problem.

Ordered on May 8th, they shipped out the lines sets, but still no unit.
Zero communication that there was a drop-ship situation from Daikin until the line sets arrived along with the packing list saying dropship. May 26th still no unit nor shipping info.
I purchased a MRCOOL 18k btu diy mini split a/c from Hvacdirect and it did not work. I called and spoke to customer service, it was Saturday and she told me to send pictures of the problem and that first thing Monday morning they would call me back and take care of it. Well it's Thursday and still have not heard from anyone.
Very few companies have reps that answer their phones, give their straight to them phone numbers and call you back even if u don't leave a message.
