I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
I am not a worker but I am a job seeker and my main concern is that the jobs that post and you respond to them seems to never get back to you. They need to respond in a timely manner
I wonder why a lot of people wanna stay on unemployment do to the pandemic these jobs are horrible with responding back
They need to do better on indeed if your not gonna fill the position please don't post it
Indeed is like most of the big job boards out there - mostly junk listings that are way outdated, but some good jobs in the mix. Just like craigslist and other job boards, be wary of what contact information you choose to share on your uploaded resume, as recruiters can and will contact you for jobs that you aren't qualified for if they've got your phone number. And from my experience, they have no concept of time zones either.
Tip for consumers:
Check the dates on those listings - is it really worth your time to apply for a job that was posted 30+ days ago?
I've been using this app for months and I started to notice that replies that I received from the companies that I applied has the same word by word response. I think they are just using fake job posting. No interviews and no real person just a bunch of automated replies.

We were paying so much money with them. Close to $1000 a week and than closed our account for no reason. Ohh and support on here, don't tell me useless things like ohh we need to see if you're a real business. We have been clients of yours for over 2 years and spent $1000s. If you useless people want to play like this. I will be doing a chargeback against your useless company for services not supplied.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use them. They are a scam
Hi Aaron! Thanks so much for bringing this experience to our attention. We reached out to you via private message so we can better assist there. We look forward to hearing back from you.
I used indeed to apply for numerous positions for two months and could not understand why I was not even getting one call back. I finally called one of the companies directly and was informed indeed had never even sent my info to them. I had to forward my resume and was hired within a week! Now I understand why I had no calls... no one received my resume! Indeed is good to find who is hiring, but don't waste your time using their system! Contact the hiring company directly!
We have used Indeed to hire candidates across Canada and the US. We spend ~$2,500 per month with Indeed. Today they suspended our account without any rationale why. When we appealed we were rejected without any rationale. This is incredibly frustrating as Indeed is one of our main sources of candidates.
I liked that fact that we can read resumes. I disliked that there are too many very old resumes that really don't apply. I would like it if these resumes were removed if the people were no longer looking for a job. I did receive 11 resumes and not one of them had any qualifications required for the job and more than half were not even for the field we were hiring for. By looking at resumes we found people to contact but none of the resumes were current. I like the system but feel like it is lacking. I guess it is just timing as well. The pricing is also not bad.
I posted a job ad for my company and even sponsored it. Talked with a few really good candidates but what do you know, they disabled my account and won't tell me the reason. Now I can't even access the previous messages with those candidates.
I would verify the account with all the required documents but they don't even give me a chance.
EDIT: They have contacted me and I sent them all required business documents. Still they won't re-enable my account and it seems like they don't want any business with smaller companies.
Hi Jaka. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We would be happy to assist with this situation so we've sent you a private message. Please follow up with us there. We look forward to hearing from you.
After posting my position on Indeed, I received many resumes from people who met the requirements for the position. Ultimately, I was able to hire 4 new staff members who I believe will meet my expectations.
Glad we could help you make a hire Janet!
I have used Indeed to search for potential hires for approximately one year. Recently, when I attempted to contact a candidate, I learned that I was suspended from emailing the job-seeker. I filed the Indeed appeal form (which asks why you think your account was suspended) because I have no idea why I was suspended. This was the response I received, "We have reviewed your account and will not be lifting the suspension for Indeed Resume. Suspension of your ability to contact job seekers has no effect on your ability to post or sponsor jobs on Indeed.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Further appeals for this suspension will not be considered or responded to."
Interesting that one can still post or sponsor jobs on Indeed but, contacting a candidate is not permitted. How in the... does that work? Save your time and money
Tip for consumers:
Save your time and money
Hi Jeff, we're sorry to hear about your experience with Indeed. After looking into your account, we do see that you have been disabled from contacting job seekers moving forward. To protect the integrity of the website and prevent new accounts from being created to get around our quality guidelines, we do not disclose the exact reason for this feature being disabled. You can review our terms of service and privacy policy for additional information (http://www.indeed.com/legal), specifically: "Although Indeed has no obligation to do so, Indeed may monitor messages posted on the Website and reserves the right to delete any User Content or portion thereof which violate the above rules, messages, topics that are unrelated to the specific portion of the Website on which they are posted, advertisements, recruiting or other commercial messages, and any other User Content that Indeed deems in its sole discretion is inappropriate.”
We do allow advertisers who have been suspended from Indeed Resume to continue to post jobs on Indeed, as this allows job seekers to apply directly for a job that they’re interested in.
Please feel free to contact us via SiteJabber private message if you have any further questions. Thank you.
I just decided I should move on from the company I'm currently with so I put my resume and information on Indeed and downloaded the app as well. It's been really helpful and pretty well with updating new jobs, ones that are a great match for me, ones I should or would have a better chance at applying at.
Hi Jessica! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We wish you the best of luck with your job search! If you ever need assistance in the future, feel free to contact us directly at sitejabber@indeed.com.
They disabled by employer account for no reason. I only posted 2 jobs hiring people for my new business. They are just money hungry. They need your money. F-off indeed and your policies and useless support
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. We have sent you a private message regarding this situation.
Horrible customer service - I do not recommend indeed.com
As an employer, I tried to fill an opening through indeed.com. I was on a tight timeline, and after two days (while I thought my job was posted), I received a request for additional corporate information. I provided this. Two days later, another request. Either one could have been filled up-front. I provided all information asked for, then 2 days later, my account was closed for no reason. I run a legitimate business, and was in need of good employees. Indeed.com is not the place to go to find them.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site
Due to the ad I was running I had to pay for the service using a pay per click method. I spent 100 dollar with no likely candidates. Just a bunch of people applying to jobs that don't bother to read the job description.
Hi Robert, we're sorry you did not receive qualified candidates while using Indeed. If there is anything we can do to help improve your experience, please feel free to reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com
Like so many of the reviews already posted, my business account was disabled without explanation. What is disappointing as a small business owner is that we are dealing with so much within this pandemic and you would think that we would all work together to stay afloat. Instead, Indeed is doing the opposite by disabling people's accounts without an explanation. In essence, they are cutting off the very lifelines needed to substain a lot of our small businesses. Why aren't individuals given an opportunity to rectify or resolve anything before the accounts are disabled? Instead, you are given a very generic and cold email that says that you are disabled and that this is the final say without further explanation. It is disheartening to even see the other businesses that posted on here that were swindled after they paid for a service. I just wish we all could have had some insight about Indeed prior to this happening.
Hi Ranetta, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard reviewing process. During this time, your account may be disabled if additional information on the business is needed. Unfortunately, Indeed has fully reviewed your account and we are unable to show your listings on the site. We highly recommend reviewing our Job Posting Guidelines listed below. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Gave me a great rate the first month and never told me about a monthly charge. I have called many times for jayson at indeed never once called back to close my account which is being charged 50.00 monthly for nothing. Never use this account. His privet phone is *******824. Call him he will never call you back. Ronald grimm in wintersville ohio. Not worth 1 star rating
Tip for consumers:
they send you apps to your email that dont even belong to your job opening and charge you for them
Hi we are foodmanufacturing and export company and had been using Indeed services. We had recruited technical staff using Indeed portal but suddenly one day our account got disabled without any explanation. We have appealed several times but we get the same computer generated response. Please assist

As an employer, I was a little uncertain of the "pay per click" as I have been burned by AdWords. Don't recommend them either. Indeed.com seems to work the same way, I smoked $200 in 4 hours with nothing to show for it. I agreed to pay up to $5 per lead/click and before I knew it I had an email from Indeed.com prompting me to increase my budget. So the way I see it is I had 40 "clicks" with NO candidates... see ya Indeed.com - EMPLOYERS BEWARE!
IM with 4 other job search sites, and got nowhere in 3weeks, as soon as i tried indeed it was a more refined search and i could send my cv without any problems to all the positions I applied for, i already have and interview after 3 days with indeed.
I will always recommend indeed.
It was unclear to me that I had to discontinue after 3 days and was charged for another few days. The rep did, however, give me a credit. That was nice, except who knows if I'll need to us it. No one who responded was suitable.
We're sorry to hear that you had a poor experience. If there is anything we can do to help, please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com
I have had to create 2 accounts because my first was disabled and then my second moments after I created a job posting. No one to contact. No explanation. I am need of candidates but I am not able to get the help I need. I am not doing anything to break any rules. I am willing to pay and do whatever is needed to fill my job roles but I cant seem to keep an account open for a day.

The site is tricky to navigate and isn't laid out very well.
Also, almost every candidate had the same CV layout and after speaking to some candidates it was obvious that they weren't aware that the website sent the information in this way. To employers this takes away the personal touch that you would normally get from the individual's CV and it also missed off some relevant information.
Hi Michelle, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We will provide your feedback to our product team for future updates to our CV layout. If there is anything else we can do to assist, please feel free to reach out to us at 1-800-462-5842 or sitejabber@indeed.com.
If you're looking for a job online, you've come to the wrong place. I have been trying indeed.com for months now and have yet to even fill out an application! When you click on a job to apply it never loads, and if it does load it will crash shortly after. Come to indeed.com looking for a job, leave with a headache. Its as simple as that.
Hi Chad, sorry to hear that you are having trouble applying to jobs on Indeed. We'd be happy to help you if you can please email us at sitejabber@indeed.com with more information about the errors you're seeing. If you can provide us with a screenshot, we'd be happy to look into this further. Thank you.
Hey, you guys need to get your $#*! together. When I ask for material/planner scheduler positions I dont expect to see electrical engineering positions or warehousing positions or other positions not even pertaining to my search. Wake up!
Blocked my account with 0 warning.
Absolutely terrible. Block my account with 0 warning. I had over 100 applicants in a post in under 72 hours, and they decided to block my account. As a independent recruiter, who is trying to build his own firm, it's impossible to have a cash flow for posting. Don't waste your time with them.
Hi David, all accounts and jobs are subject to our standard reviewing process. The account has gone through our reviewing process and our team has concluded that we will not show these openings in our search results. The account will remain in its current disabled status. As the account has been disabled by Indeed you do not have the option to post a new position. Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we highly suggest utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
As the world's #1 job site, with over 180 million unique visitors every month from over 50 different countries, Indeed has become the catalyst for putting the world to work. Indeed is intensely passionate about delivering the right fit for every hire. Indeed helps companies of all sizes hire the best talent and offers the best opportunity for job seekers to get hired.
Hi Chanelle, it can definitely be frustrating having to sit and wait to hear back from an employer. To clarify, when you apply for a job posting on Indeed, your information is sent directly to the employer, subject to Indeed's Terms of Service. Indeed does not screen candidates on behalf of employers so we cannot say why an individual employer may not respond to an application you submitted. If we can assist with your search just send us an email to socialcare@indeed.com, we would be happy to assist.
