I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
We are a small business trying to post few job openings. Indeed disabled our account without any guidance. What a joke? At least give us a chance to make corrections if we done something wrong. I'm not sure if this is only happened to me or everyone. Worst experience ever.

We are a newly opened bar and grill trying to hire staff and Indeed suspended my employer profile with no warning or explanation whatsoever. This seems to be a common occurrence for Indeed as this is not the first review that reflects these practices. Why is Indeed bullying small businesses? Must be the $$ they get from corporate restaurants for premium job postings that they give them "a little extra" by suppressing the little guys. What a pitiful service

Hello Anthony, thank you for reaching out. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message.
Indeed suddenly disabled my account. I tried to find out why. And I absolutely have no idea. My start up company is Value Sports Academy and I really need this to work! I don't mind paying, but at least give an easy way of explaining how it all works. I used to saw candidates appearing, now I can't do anything. Disappointing!

Like many, after posting a job offer, and accumulating candidates, we got an email saying our ability to post jobs is disabled (along with all the applications to the job.)
We tried appealing that, providing all the documentation requested, and got hit with this:
"It appears that your request may require specialized attention and our Client Success team can better assist you. Please view our Help Center for further assistance with this issue."
Guess what? There is no way to reach the mythical client success team if your Employer account is disabled.
Also, after they sent that message to you, they will ignore any further communication from you.
Just abysmal. Stay away.

Hi Khalifa, we are very sorry to hear of this experience, a member of our team has reached out to you by private message to assist you with this.
I own a financial service and investment company, we started out with 5 employees and received over 10,000 resumes and 500 + hires just from indeed. It came to my attention we had fired some under performing employees and they went and reported us to indeed as spam. That is not a valid reason to disable our employment account based on false accusations from ex disgruntled employees. And interviewees that were rejected employment. We hired over 500 employees in NYC just from indeed alone. This should be corrected asap - Paul Miller ps. we spent over $12,000
Tip for consumers:
Expect the online job market to be filled with a lot of duds. it takes about 10,000 resumes to get a good amount of hires. when you do get hires expect 1 outve 25 will be a decent fit for your company. Peoples resumes on indeed are not credible. most of the time the resume is smoke and mirrors comapred to who they really are.

I have used indeed for many years throughout my time as a recruiter, since setting up my own Ltd company I had created an indeed account, sent in all required documentation, posted my jobs and sponsored them, only to have my account disabled, I've appealed the decision twice, emailed them 3 times and called them twice and still have no reason or resolution in place. This has been going on for 8 days. Will move to zip recruiter and not use indeed any longer.

Hi Georgia. Thank you for reaching out to bring your experience to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience. Our team has reached out to you via private message to best assist. We look forward to hearing from you!
My indeed account have been disabled without any prior notice or any information provided on the reason. I have a ltd recruitment company and work on behalf of different clients and since last few weeks I am in so much pressure and problem as none of the appeal is answered and no reason is given and my clients are relying on my posting too which seems really frustrating. I work with sales and marketing companies, care workers, general administrative and management staff too.
Indeed replied and nothing is done. Such a irresponsible team as I am still receiving emails someone has applied for the role and someone is no more interested in the role. I have requested my account deletion but they don't bother replying at all.

Hello! We have reached out via PM, please reply back so we can take a look at the account. Thank you!
As a small business owner, i recently post positions on indeed, and today they blocked me. "Your account has been disabled".
For WHAT? "not consistent with Indeed's quality standards." WHAT standards? They won't tell.
But over all Indeed is a best platform for employers and employees.

They disabled my account for no reason and when you ask why so you can make corrections to your post They sent me a link to the TS & Guidelines that doesn't specifically state how my job post was in violation.
I liked Indeed as a job seeker, but now that I'm the employer, They are crap. Whoever's their close competition I will support them. I advise you to try Monster, Zip Recruiter, or Glassdoor, anybody but indeed. Pass the word. There are a bunch of similar reviews; can't be the employers it's Indeed.

After successfully loading two legitimate job adverts, making sure the billing was correct and receiving many responses Indeed suddenly suspended our business account. I logged two appeals and submitted Company verification documents to them on two separate occasions. I called the call centre and spoke to them on three different occasions. We have just been rejected again. We have many prospective candidates who we cant reach out to. Its been over two weeks of back and forth and I dont' know where to turn next.

Hi Mandy, we have sent you a PM with an additional explanation and the next steps. Thank you.
I'm an independent recruiter hired by a company looking for candidates for nurseries. I posted numerous ads in which there was no issues, yet today my account has been disabled due to one of my ads was deemed not consistent. This is completely unfair as I have had no explanation or opportunity to alter the job post myself. I have a limited amount of time to gather candidates for this company and disabling my account without any explanation has only left my candidates with no reply and stopped my active searches for these candidates due to all my job posts being closed. This is beyond unprofessional and seriously need to consider fixing this system.

Have been looking forward to using Indeed to fill a position, finally attempted to post ad today and received an email that my account had been disabled. Indeed, I am frustrated but I need your help desperately. Please respond and let me know what I can do so I may post this job! Thank you!

Hi Heidi, it appears your account is currently undergoing our standard review process. To protect job seekers and employers like yourself, we review every account created on Indeed. To move forward with the review process, please complete the appeal form provided in your Indeed account. You can access the appeal form by visiting www.indeed.com/hire and signing in with your email address and password. Once there, you’ll see a link to the appeal form. Please note that the review process typically takes 1 to 3 business days and our team will contact you when they have an update, or if they need additional information. If you have issues with this process please follow up with us at socialcare@indeed.com.
My account was disabled without any warning or information as to why. I urgently need to hire a few positions and I had all my job descriptions saved in indeed which are now gone and will take so long to rewrite.

I spent a few hours of my day creating a job ad on Indeed (for the first time), then went back and decided to use most of their own templates since the position was for an administrative assistant. Even tried to pay more for increased exposure. Then received an email to verify our email, but the button did not work. Immediately received an email saying our account was shut down because it did not meet standards, but absolutely no explanation. I appealed it (where it only asked our name and contact information again, but no other info) and received an auto response saying we were reviewed and declined. It makes no sense. I used most of their own templates so I don't know what we could have violated.

Hi April, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. Unfortunately, after your account went through our standard review process which is done for all accounts on Indeed we were unable to show the job listings on our site. This is due to the business not aligning with Indeed's Job Posting Guidelines. We recommend reviewing our Job Posting Guidelines here for specific reasoning: https://indeed.force.com/employerSupport1/s/article/115005915763?language=en_US
My account was disabled a few minutes after I myself chose to shut down an offer. They disabled it without any kind of explanation and I am pretty sure I breached no guideline rule. Luckily for me, I was done using Indeed by the time they messed up with my account.

I run our companies HR department and we were banned for no reason. Indeed just bans you and doesn't even tell you the guidelines you violated. It's a complete abuse of authority and negatively effects businesses
Tip for consumers:
What can I even say. There is no support or anything to help people navigate the site.

Hello Khaalid, thank you for reaching out and sharing this experience with us. We have responded to your review by private message.
I received many applications on indeed with my unpaid organic job post. I guess because I didn't want to pay for this specific job post they disconnected my account for no reason and told me it was final. I have sent in proof of ownership of my business, its a LEGIT business open for years with proof of customer base yet indeed doesn't want to allow a well performing job post unless its paid. -5 star review! The "appeal" process is a JOKE it took them 20 minutes to send a denial lol
Tip for consumers:
Don't waste your time just for them to shut you down while your doing good

Our company's account was disabled shortly after posting a job ad. I rejected the decision immediately! I then received a response so generic and denial with no details saying the decision was final. I have read through the terms and contract as well as posting guidelines. We have done nothing wrong and have no recourse. A company should not operate like this, I have everything to prove we are a legit company trying to hire people. Waste of time and money for all these employers.

Hi Dawn, it appears your account is going through our standard review process. It is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status that you're now experiencing. In this case, you will need to submit an appeal to our moderation team explaining that you will provide documentation for your business for review. This can be done by logging into your account, when you go to your dashboard you will see the option that states “appeal this decision” or “contact us” and you can begin filling out the form. Once it's submitted our moderation team will follow up with you directly within the next 24 hours via email from employersupport@indeed.com. Thank you!
We were looking for salespeople and my boss asked me to post a listing to recruit candidates. I did this, and then sent the required proof of insurance to verify the business.
Got an email that said my account was confirmed, so went in to check my job post, and to my horror found that the account was disabled with not explanation!
I spent a lot of time crafting the ad and going through the process and I'm very upset they wasted my time.
What a joke!

Indeed is the most ridiculous job site i've ever seen. Poor customer service as there is literally no customer service at all. All I am trying to do is look for help for our company amidst the pandemic which is already hard as it is. They proceed to disable my account under no fault to us from what I can see. I have read in depth all of their policies and see no issue. When asked all is said is "Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason." For NO reason? Indeed is a scam themselves they take your money and run. Very disrespectful. Not sure how they are legal.
I've tried to appeal through email, tried through facebook, and all I get is the same lame, cowardly runaround.

Hi Deanna. As previously mentioned in our prior messages, the account has gone through our reviewing process and our team has concluded that we will not be able to show these openings in our search results. The account will remain in its current status.
As the account has been disabled by Indeed you do not have the option to post a new position. Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If you have urgent hiring needs, we highly suggest utilizing other hiring services.

I opened an employer account on indeed in order to post a job for a delivery driver. I even bought a monthly subscription for $100 so I can contact potential candidates. As soon as they charged my credit card they disabled my account. They asked me to provide them with proof that showed the company name and address which I did. They then completely blocked my account.

Our dental laboratory business has been advertising on Indeed for over 6 years.
One week ago, without warning, Indeed disabled our account. We appealed the decision providing our incorporation documents and recent bills. We were denied the appeal without any explanation.
We called Customer Service and we were advised that there is no explanation, but that this sometimes just happens. They recommended us to open a new account.
We followed this suggestion and opened a new account. Within ten minutes, the new account was disabled as well.
We called again and the employee apologized and said he was embarrassed for the way the company is treating us. But he had no advice. I feel like I am stuck in a Kafka novel.
I am writing to help alert employers that Indeed can act in a capricious manner that is reminiscent of a monopoly.

We are quite dissatisfied with Indeed as an employer platform. I actually found MY current job on Indeed... and now, as the business has grown, we look to expand. When I placed the 1st job ad (a free one just to get us started) they find my "account" to be unsuitable? And disabled it. They sent a form email saying it was a final decision, no details, reasons or explanation. How can they expect to run their business that way? If we made a mistake, we are happy to understand and fix it. But we are a small business, just trying to expand and grow. I had great expectations that Indeed could help us - I guess I was wrong.

Hi Rob, we would love to provide some clarification here. All accounts and jobs go through our standard reviewing process before they can become fully active on our site. The account has gone through our reviewing process and our team has concluded that we will not be able to show these openings in our search results and the account will remain in its current status.
In addition, Indeed does not allow non-job postings. This includes, but is not limited to, training and education opportunities, franchising opportunities, multi-level marketing opportunities, jobseeker employment solicitation, expired jobs, and jobs which do not represent a specific employer vacancy.
Tried many other places like LinkedIn, Glassdoor + even posting on Craigslist. Get the most candidates and best qualified candidates. It work well. Only glitch is you have to always communicate via Indeed masked email account even at the very final stages of process, these emails sometimes go to spam, which is frustrating.
