I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
This company randomly charges you money whenever they want with no real responses. I set up an ad with a specific end date. My ad was no longer available after my week long campaign but the company ended up charging me for two months and I never received one qualified candidate from their site. I have never written a review for something before but this experience and losing out on $150 has compelled me to do so. If it will stop at least 1 person from using their bs site then it will be worth my time.

Indeed will shut your account down without warning and without an explanation. Our account was shut down after a year of doing business with indeed. They will not tell us why or what we've done to be cut off. My company has paid LOTS of money to advertise on their site.
In the year of advertising with indeed we have put THOUSANDS of people to work. Its ashamed that this company doesn't care about people who really need decent paying labor jobs ($12.00-$14.000) per hour.
Oh yeah, it might be that our company had a bad review... But I see that indeed has a lot more bad reviews than my company did.

Hi Tommy, we're sorry for the negative experience you've had with Indeed. We submitted your account for a final review to see if we could reverse this decision, however after fully reviewing your account and additional company information, we determined that we would not proceed with re-enabling your account. While you were able to use the account prior to this decision, Indeed reserves the right to review accounts at any time and disable further use if it is in the best interest of our job seekers. The reasons behind this decision are kept confidential to protect our Quality processes and the integrity of the website. For additional information, please review our Job Posting Guidelines: http://www.indeed.com/hire/job-posting-guidelines
Our company, Avalon Capital, was using Indeed to recruit a bookkeeper. After paying nearly $200 to sponsor the add and spending countless hours reviewing resumes, I received a notice this morning that the account has been disabled. No explanation given. Now I cannot see any of the candidates that I have been corresponding with. All the work I put into screening candidates and selecting my top choices has been lost.
I used their customer contact to dispute the decision and received a notice within 2 minutes that my appeal had been rejected. Clearly they didn't review anything and this was just an automated decision.
I am very frustrated at the time and money wasted. We are a legit company that needs to hire a bookkeeper. The only fraud going on here is at Indeed.

We have been using indeed for years and have spent thousands of dollars each month on job postings! Suddenly, indeed disabled all of our accounts without notice. They then requested information to verify we were a legit company. After sending in all of the correct documents that were requested, we are still denied! We have applicants waiting to set interviews as well as ones that we haven't even looked at! We should be charging indeed back for those missing applicants! Why wouldn't they work with loyal, paying customers on issues? Instead just cancel them with vague responses? Unbelievable. They are extremely unprofessional! Save yourself the money and headache!

We are a new major Tech startup company and just posted two positions. The first one went through fine and got approved quickly but after posting second position, suddenly we got a message like so many others that our account is disabled and no reason was given.

So I finished up with college and applied for a job with a company. The next day I got five calls from; credit card, warranty, IRS, "Student Loads", won a $750,000, and arrest warrant scam. I even had someone call me telling me someone used my phone number and told them that they owe me money. I don't know what kind of crap you guys are pulling but I dont recommend using this site. I haven't given out my phone number to any third parties til now. I used to use google voice for other stuff if I was unsure, but this is just bad. Next time I see a posting I will talk to the company directly instead of using this crap...

This has happened to me on more than one occasion but at different companies. I posted ads that were not on a budget then were billed for them. I had no idea they were billing until I received the invoices. I am currently disputing all of the invoices in which I did NOT sponsor the jobs. After this happening twice to me now, I will NOT be using Indeed anymore. I would highly recommend that if you do use Indeed, that you monitor your ads consistently every 30 minutes of the day as someone working there is going in and switching to sponsored to collect money. I was billed over $1500 in 3 days.

Hi Bobbi,
We are sorry to hear about this negative experience with Indeed. We have reached out via PM, please respond there if further assistance is needed. Thank you!
People just click these to show "they are looking for a job". Out of the recruits, most are failures. Most don't show. The high costs of advertising with them does not yield good results. The new price structure, was $10 per application now its $30, its a terrible system. You could sink money into this fast, and they will take it. We have used for a long time, but seems they are getting greedy on costs. We now use Facebook and social media for free to advertise, with better results, that cost, well, nothing.

Hi, when a job is posted on Indeed it is publicly available for anyone to apply for. Also, Indeed does not have control over candidates that apply to positions and we do not control candidate behavior. That includes not showing up for interviews. Feel free to reach out at sitejabber@indeed.com if you ever need additional assistance in the future.
I opened my account and posted two job positions and they disabled my account without any reason. It's ridiculous! There is no violation of nonsense in those job positions they are completely blind or their bots are useless. I never used indeed before but wow it sucks big time. Glad I didn't pay for the publication which I'm supposed to do from Monday.

Hi Sunil! Thanks for reaching out to share this experience. We are happy to help and followed up with you via PM. We look forward to your response.
We are a global business and changing the recruitment industry. Our business supports small recruitment agencies around the world, with the help of many fantastic companies. Small, and large Fortune 500 businesses using our service. We had advertisements running on Indeed to find recruiters who are willing to join our amazing movement. In 4 weeks time 1400 people reacted and already 500 making a living of that what we do. And then? Indeed closed our account, no reason given. Just with the single line. Your business is not suitable for us. Big tech on its best!
Update > Indeed responded with a standart template (as always). Well, I am happy to say that Indeed is not suitable for OUR business.

Hi Marlon, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard reviewing process. This review can happen at any time as well. Unfortunately, Indeed has fully reviewed your account and we are unable to show your listings on the site and the account will remain in its disabled status. Indeed or Publishers may reject or remove any Job Ad, and Indeed may disable any Employer’s account, for any or no reason without notice. Although Indeed may indicate why a job or account has been removed or disabled, we cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we recommend utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
I was trying to hire a repair guy for the company. And my account was disabled; I am not even allowed to post any other hiring for other positions simply because one position is "unsuitable", got the review from indeed as attached. Basically saying they reserve the right to do anything they want. I can't figure which parts of my post are against their rule, the only thing I could think of is maybe I shouldn't mention Chinese/Korean speakers preferred and that's why they didn't want to say the reason.
Again, you shouldn't disable someone's account simply because he posts a job that does not suit your interests. Imagine one day police impound your car and says you are against someone's interests and tell you to feel free to go to other countries. That's how this case looks like.

My newly formed company was using Indeed to find Independent Contractors to help grow our business. We had multiple ads up in 3 different cities and then one day Indeed just disables the account.
I completely understand that Indeed has the right to disable accounts, but at the very least let me know what it is so I can fix it. If I made a mistake, you are not going to allow me to fix it. That's just poor customer service. There is no way that I would ever treat one of my clients that way.

Hi Sherry, we've contacted you via SiteJabber Private Message to further assist with your account. Thank you
Suspended our account for no reason, and after reaching out to appeal and verify that I am indeed the business owner and our practice is legitimate and been serving the community for years, I got an automatic rejection, and again without the mention of any valid reason.
Conclusion: Go to LinkedIN or glassdoor if you want to post a job for free. Want to post on indeed? Pay or expect a ban within the month.

Hi Jomana, thanks for reaching out. To provide some clarity, all accounts and jobs are subject to our standard rolling reviewing process that can occur at any time. Our team has concluded that Indeed will be unable to show your openings in our search results. Indeed always retains the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If you have urgent hiring needs, we suggest utilizing other hiring services.
If I could give Indeed a minus 5 review, I would! Set up account, upload company formation docs to verify it, post job ad and 24 hours later, I'm told the account is disabled. When trying to appeal the decision, I can't even log back in because the system won't send a verification code (probably because the account was disabled)! So now they have all our company information and they have the audacity to send me marketing emails. Yeah ok, I'll use your service - oh no wait I can't because you disabled it! What a pathetic joke! Looks like Indeed does this a lot too!

Hi Jonathan, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status that you're now experiencing. In these cases, employers will need to submit an appeal to our moderation team. This can be done by logging into your account, when you go to your dashboard you will see the option that states “appeal this decision” or “contact us” and you can begin filling out the form. Once it's submitted our moderation team will follow up with you directly within the next 24 hours via email from employersupport@indeed.com. Double-check your spam/junk folder as well since sometimes our emails can be sent there as well. If you ever need additional assistance in the future, feel free to reach out at sitejabber@indeed.com.
Indeed disabled our account out of the blue after a new job posting for a massage therapist needed for the head of the ministry, a gospel artist who has bad back and neck pain.
We are a small independent ministry working with social media and the music industry. We also have a new start up food business to support the ministry in the works.
We've been using Indeed for well over a year. We wonder what the reason is - if it's either something we did wrong that isn't clear or even in the guidelines or whether it's religious discrimination that could be increasing currently with staff at Indeed like it is at other social media and tech companies.
Tip for consumers:
Never use, they might generate some candidates but could block you at any time from posting jobs and give you NO reason for it.

Hi Carena, we have sent you a private message. Thank you.
We've been running stuff on indeed for about a year now, maybe just over. I had two admin/data entry guys handle posting requisitions in the past and ran into some issues and we've transitioned from a free account to a paid account. Budgeting has been intuitive and effective, but the account's been disabled! We've put a couple hundred dollars into the account in the past 2 days so this is a major disappointment.
When we book interviews and make hires this week we need to close these down but I can't even do that with my current account status. Looking at a major hitch in our plan for the week, still waiting for support.
Indeed's great but it's clear that posting here gets results... Hoping for a resolution!

Indeed disabled my account, and gives no explanation. Indeed advertises how they are helping build America back after the pandemic, however, it appears if you are a small business that does not have a big hiring budget, you don't get to create jobs in your community. They could at least inform us why they are disabling our account.

Hi Rica, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed, sponsored and non-sponsored, do go through a standard review process. We do see you were able to appeal this decision and your account is currently verified and accessible. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
Job search meta-engine. Also presents searches for salaries, trends and forums, though i have not used the last three past a glance. The search engine produces listings aggregating results from CL, the local paper, dice.com, monster, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn and various other job search sites. Allows for changing distance from target location. Useful filters on the left side to display only certain salary ranges, titles, etc. easy to read and navigate, straightforward and though not all encompassing (e.g. Will not include dept. of Labor listings, etc) it does present information from a wide cross-section of other sites.

This site is a complete waste of time. We ran an add that did not post for several weeks. It took calling in and leaving four different messages to finally get some assistance. When we finally spoke to someone they told me that the add was pulled by the review team. They would not give any explanation why and there is no one that can give a reason. We spent 350.00 dollars with them and zero results! TERRIBLE COMPANY!
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!

As of today, there hasn't been any movement with my account. An indeed rep for sitejabber (assuming a real person, not a bot) sent me a message on this site instructing me to send my company's tax form to them as well... even though I had already submitted this sensitive document to Indeed's customer service email address. Again, no response from Indeed at all. I am seriously concerned that such sensitive data (a company's tax information) is being requested and am becoming concerned that perhaps Indeed is data-mining since no real identity (person) or agent number is attached to their emails. I think we should be asking for THEIR tax information to prove Indeed is authentic.

I am an Agreement Manager for a company who manages a large area of provincial parks. The staffing levels for our company is over 200 people. Today, Indeed disabled my account without explanation. This is extremely frustrating for not just myself, the company I work for but also any potential candidates who have applied because I cannot contact them to explain why the job posting instantly disappeared! This really reflects poorly on us as an organization. Indeed needs to take a close look at their policies and procedures and come up with a better solution than randomly blocking legitimate companies and leaving no explanation for the potential employees who are trying to contact said companies. Very poor company policy on their part!
Tip for consumers:
Do not spend money on a sponsored ad as you may (probably) end up being blocked like the rest of us with for no reason or explanation.

Like so many others, we have been using Indeed for several months when out of the blue we had an emailed message saying that we are banned form using them as our ads contravened some unknown guidelines. No explanation offered.
For some time, we have used Indeed exclusively and successfully to staff our garden design and maintenance business and have paid for ads.
I have no idea what sort of business model they think they have but after this, I consider them worse than Ebay on a bad day. Very unprofessional and a low grade business partner that we do not need.
Avoid at all costs.

Hi Andrew, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We were able to locate your account and do see it is enabled and active. We've sent you a private message to see how we can assist you further. We look forward to hearing from you.
Indeed.com allows you to post two types of jobs: one type is free and the other is sponsored. We are a pretty small business, then we chose to use the free type. However, Indeed.com disabled our account just because we chose the free posting. I think it is cheating. If you have no way of providing a free posting, then dont advertise it, otherwise you don't deliver what you promised, then that is cheating. So many small business can work together to sue you. I called numerous times and also submitted twice appealing but no any result. I decided to come here to seek help.

UPDATE 06/12// Indeed's team was able to check on this for us and the suspension has been lifted, it was prompt and amazing customer service. Very happy now!
Original Review: We have been using indeed in my office since I started and it's going on 2 and a half years now, without a single problem. And now out of nowhere the account is suspended from contacting resumes and my job literally depends on this. They won't even tell me what was done wrong so it could have been fixed. This is pretty upsetting.
