I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
Although I didn't end up hiring through Indeed, I do appreciated how easy it was to post a job. The response was fantastic... 167 candidates. It was also good to have all the applications through Indeed in one place where I can send automatic responses and change individual applicant's status along the process. However, many of the candidates did not qualify and it was a lot of work to find those who did.
I just received this email after appealing indeed account disable decision. This is ridiculous as Indeed was not going to give any guidance on what we did that makes our account unsuitable for them.

Thank you for contacting Indeed. We have reviewed your account and have found it to be unsuitable for Indeed.
For your reference, we have linked Indeed's Terms of Service and Job Posting Guidelines.
Please note that your account currently is not accruing costs and this is a final decision. No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you,
Indeed
Hi Soji, all accounts and jobs are subject to our standard reviewing process. The account has gone through our reviewing process and our team has concluded that we will not show these openings in our search results. The account will remain in its current disabled status. As the account has been disabled by Indeed you do not have the option to post a new position. Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we highly suggest utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
Indeed was able to resolve the issue. One of the accounts has been re-activated, the second should also be soon, I sent the required document today.
The issue seems to be the lack of clarity and feedback received, when they initially vet documents to approve an account. The message received in response offers no clarity on what the issue was with the document submitted.
The way to sort this out appears to be contacting them on here or via Facebook chat. Thank indeed in happy with the outcome.
Thanks for working with our team on this, Ronny. We're happy we were able to assist. Feel free to reach back out if we can be of further assistance!
It appears this is a common problem, I have seen other complaints in line with this. Is there a solution to this. Is there a worthwhile alternative possibly?
As the appeal process clearly doesn't shed any insight neither do the terms and conditions
I am a small business, I was looking to hire 2 apprentices. Indeed disabled my account. They gave me a chance to appeal and then sent me a standard email about me being a pyramid scheme.
I set up a different account, with a different apprentice role. They disabled my account with the same standard email about being a pyramid scheme. The second time I sent more information and broke down my business. They still rejected it.
This has wasted much time, but what's worse is they never investigated anything.
I recently got disabled from using Indeed for a new account I opened, sent all appeals and original documents they asked for, yet their trust team kept saying they couldn't verify my document. I'm so angry and frustrated with the back & forth and I hope this issue is resolved because I need to hire candidates ASAP! Indeed please do the needful!
To explain, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met.
Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest.
You can submit an appeal through your account. Please note that the review process typically takes 1 to 3 business days and our team will contact you when they have an update, or if they need additional information.
You have disabled my account with no reason. I'm happy to resolve the issue, not given me the option. I rely on indeed - please re unable my account ASAP
Ive paid £500+ in advertising
I was told the below:
Thank you for your time and patience while we reviewed your Indeed account.
After further review, the decision has been made that your job postings cannot be shown on Indeed. For your reference, please see Indeed's terms of service(https://www.indeed.co.uk/legal?hl=en&redirect=true#tos) and our Job Posting Best Practices.
No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision have been provided. I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I have had 14 people apply for the Writer position for my startup company. I've also had several apply for the Web Designer position for the company. For the Writer position, I have emailed five candidates telling them I am interested in interviewing them. However, because Indeed has disabled my account, four of the five candidates I have emailed for an interview offer most likely did not receive my reply and are anxious about whether they would get one. What a shame! I've already planned their interviews! It's a good thing one of the five candidates got my reply just in time before I got locked out and responded with her confirmation.
Tip for consumers:
If they reject your appeal to not disable your account without any real explanation, it would be best to close your account permanently and move on to another advertising method.

Hi Ian, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Jobs that do not meet Indeed standards may be subject to review and require additional information from the hiring company. Listings that prove misleading, compromise the job seeker experience or those which we are not convinced represent a “real” job may be removed from search results altogether. Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. As many others have already stated, we've been a paid user of Indeed for some time. Suddenly, our account is suspended and no reason given as to why. Asked why and they tell us it's been reviewed and no further action or appeal may be taken. Yet they took our money at the beginning of the month like clockwork! I suppose they make a good bit of extra profit charging you for a month then canceling you with no reason. What a crappy level of customer service! I'm going to make it my mission to send/post this information as many places as I can. Thanks for being completely unhelpful Indeed!
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use Indeed for job applicant searches! Ripoff!
Hi Cathy, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We'd like to look into this further for you. We've sent you a private message and we look forward to hearing from you.
I liked indeed because it told me who was hiring in the area and for what, but I applied to literally 200 jobs and I didn't hear from one. I got aggravated and just went basically knocking on doors and I got a job that very day. I start next week. I've also canceled their emails multiple times and I keep receiving emails... I'm not going to bash them but I did waste a whole month of my time and energy and now it's just aggravating. You could still apply on indeed.com but I would make a list of who I applied to and go meet them myself and shake a few hands. Let it be known you're a real person and you need employment. Otherwise, be prepared for the waiting game.
We created an employer account and advertise our job opening next thing you know after a month in a half and charging us over $1k they disable our account. We have legitimate jobs and al those people who apply none will get a response from us because we have no access to their contact information. Indeed itself is a scam. When these job seekers get no response from the company they applied to these job seekers lose work opportunity after sitting on their computer applying. Indeed needs to fix this they are a scam
Tip for consumers:
They will take your money shut your account down and you will be left with nothing but a headache trying to search for candidates for your openings
Hello David, a member of our team has responded to your review by private message. Please follow up there for additional information.
Your ability to post jobs on Indeed has been disabled.
One or more of the jobs you posted on Indeed was deemed not consistent with Indeed's quality standards. You will not be able to post any jobs directly on Indeed.
Indeed blocked our newly applied account for no reason stating that we have violated quality standards. We are the direct employer giving opportunities to job seekers and only after posting 2 vacancies they blocked the account. We have carefully read the do's and don't and quality standards of indeed and at no reason at all to block our account. This is the first time in a very long time after using indeed that our account got blocked after posting two vacancies. We haven't even received any CV's from the posting yet but our account has already been blocked.
Hi there, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. In these cases, employers will need to submit an appeal to our moderation team. This can be done by logging into your account, when you go to your dashboard you will see the option that states “appeal this decision” or “contact us” and you can begin filling out the form. Once it's submitted our moderation team will follow up with you directly within the next 24 hours via email from employersupport@indeed.com. Double-check your spam/junk folder as well since sometimes our emails can be sent there as well. If you ever need additional assistance in the future, feel free to reach out at sitejabber@indeed.com.
I have posted my resume and it's been on the site for about a month now. The only responses that I am receiving are from fraudulent "work from home" scams which are not listed as work from home positions. So far each one that has contacted me has several complaints against them on the bbb website. Indeed.com doesn't review these postings nor do they care that these companies are ruining their reputation. I'm done with this site. It's also frustrating that they do not have a report option in order for us to report this information. It's really sad because during these hard times so many people are falling victim to these fraudulent companies and the websites that claim to be there to help are enabling them.
Not really an issue but I honestly think you need to re-word what I am guessing is your drop down boxes for potential employers. I have just logged onto my indeed account and I was looking for an application I made recently as I wanted to add some notes. Glanced down the page and there was a red message beside a position I applied for previously and it said employer not interested, to be honest I think that is a bit harsh
Hi Sharon, thank you for reaching out and providing this feedback to us. We value your feedback and will be sure to pass this along to our Product Team. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com if you have any other questions or feedback.
I had used the free trial for listing jobs and I switched my job description to 'paused'. Indeed were still charging me for this. I have been charged £23 and I have to pay another £39 on the next invoice.
I have received zero successful candidates and I was not notified of any fees. What's even worse than this, is that I was still getting charged whilst having my Job on hold after 4 days of no candidates.
Hi Anmol, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
Had my company account open for over 3 years, getting pretty good results. Stopped using for a spell... came back on and my ad was suspended along with my account without any notification from indeed. Called in and they said they needed to verify account with utility bill and ein number. I provided all the information and they closed the account. Said they wouldn't give reason because it would compromise their review process. What the heck! I've been in business in the same location for over 36 years with a no complaints. Why indeed gods? Why? And of the last 10 applicants i paid to view, 7 responded and set appointment and one actually showed. Not so great.
Hello Gerard, sorry for the negative experience. Indeed recently augmented existing search quality programs with new, ongoing strategies to make sure all jobs on Indeed meet standards for quality. This effort included a large scale review of job listings. Jobs that violated our guidelines and companies that did not meet our quality standards were disabled. We apologize that this was a frustrating process for you and will provide this feedback to our Search Quality team for future improvements.
I just created an Indeed aco$#*! to do some job posting, and my account was disabled due to it deemed not consistent with Indeed's quality standards. There was no explanation or warning given at all. This is not the way things should be handled and I am truly disappointed with their service. Definitely would not recommend Indeed to either potential employers or employees.
Hi Beston, I can see that a member of our team has reached out to you by email to gather details and assist here. If you have further issues please send us an email to socialcare@indeed.com, we would be happy to assist.
I found Indeed to be easy to use, but somewhat limited. We did get a good response to our ad. I would suggest you increase the employer's options by allowing us to give a rating to each employee we review. (Even a 1 to 10 rating scale would help.) This would aid quickly evaluating many applicants at one time. Also, the options to reflect an employee only as "Reviewed", Phone Screened, Rejected or Hired is a little limiting. A couple of other status options like: Contacted Employee or Awaiting Information or Interview Scheduled woulc help.
I have been keep promoting Indeed website to my friend as I have great and capable candidates from Indeed. I didnt log in for certain period and what surprising me is that they just disabled my account without any prior notice!
I am really sad over this issue and I think I am not the only person experiencing these... Really very improper of such move and you are not respecting your customer at all!
Hi Nancy, thank you for reaching out here. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message. Please follow up with us there if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Please do not waste your money. As you can see from most of the reviews that this company charges you per click. You have no control over the level of qualified candidates you receive. I am recruiting for plumbers and I get security guards, dish washers. Sometimes I actually get an applicant that is qualified and there is no contact information on the resume.
Run far away. I have since then cancelled my subcriptions and now it looks like they have hijacked my company's name. If I google my company's name with jobs, the first 8 hits I get are from them. If I click on it then they direct you to apply for other plumbing companies.
Some regulatory agency really needs to look into these people.
Hi Shawn, we're sorry for the negative experience you've had with Indeed. We would like to help you receive qualified applicants to your positions. Can you please email us at sitejabber@indeed.com so we can make this right? Thank you.
I am an employer. I posted jobs with indeed and got ripped off. They charge a very high click rate and then try to swindle you into there optimizer. They also post a free duplicate ad on the same page that only promotes their site while your ad goes un-noticed. They don't provide any value or candidates. Warning to all employers don't use indeed they will charge you a fortune and give you nothing in return.
I have just started my small firm and i was getting good response from indeed but suddenly my account got disable without any specific reason, i am very disappointed as i have made a good database there for hiring, now i am unable to access it all.
Hi there, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
This is my second try at indeed.com and I am reminded of the saying: "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." In literally less than an hour, I lost $140 on totally sham and inappropriate responses. Stay away! I wish I had.
Tip for consumers:
stay away!!!!
Hi Robert, sorry for the negative experience with Indeed. We'd like to help. We have emailed you directly. Thank you.
We set up an employer account last night, uploaded billing information today, filled out all the necessary information but tonight received a notification that our account has been disabled. The reason provided states "one or more of the jobs you posted to Indeed.com was deemed not consistent with Indeed's quality standards". Not sure what their quality standards are as we answered all the questions and provided as many details as possible.
We figured we would give indeed a try but after this occurrence, we will return to ziprecruiter as this has been a waste of time and effort.
Tip for consumers:
Site seems convoluted. Unfortunately you spend hours setting up a profile, which gets disabled without a representative reaching out to you if they think there was an issue. Not sure it's worth the time/effort to setup an account with indeed.

Hi there, a member of our team has followed up with you by private message to provide more details. Thank you.
Our company's account was disabled for posting jobs that are "advertisements for direct sales or marketing positions that may be misleading or intentionally vague." - Not quite sure how posting a job for a Corporate Counsel team member is either of those. We do not hire for direct sales jobs or marketing positions with this description. Working with Jessica and a couple others on the client specialist team was no help and I've sent 3 follow up emails and I am currently being ignored. We are a small company and this incredibly dissatisfying, especially since we have been using indeed for a few years with no prior issues.

This job search website is one that actually works for me. I've used it twice and both times it worked for me. Shortly after posting my resume on here, I received emails and calls regarding job interviews from both head hunters and prospective employer. Site is easy to navigate and their job filter is amazing.
Tip for consumers:
Have your most updated resume posted to their site for the best result because there are employers that will contact you by seeing your uploaded resume.
