I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
Our company is AK Cargo. We posted sales, recruiting and driver positions on Indeed. We used their job templates, advice and even spoke to our Indeed Account Manager several times. All in all we spent over 4,000 dollars! We never got a chance to even contact our applicants because they deactivated our account and took our money. We filed an appeal and we received a form email back, like I can see 100's other on here also got. We are a small company and this is a great deal of money for us.
Tip for consumers:
Unless someone helps rectify this situation, we would recommend not using this service at all. What kind of business charges you thousands of dollars and cannot even help you, refund your money or even respond??? Ask yourself that question ...I know as a business we certainly could not get away with that kind of service!
Products used:
Indeed employer advertising and listed several jobs spending over 4,000.00. We got no refund, no explanation and no use of what we ultimately paid for in using their product
Indeed disabled my company's indeed account. They asked me to provide some documents and I provided even more than they asked for and yet there is no response from them. I have hired a lot of people from Indeed and I am really shocked that they will ghost me even after I provided them with everything they asked for.
Tip for consumers:
Do not rely on Indeed

Hello Peter, thank you for reaching out. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message. Please follow up with us there if you have any additional questions or concerns.
I am a small business owner looking to expand my staff. Posting has been up for over a month and is a simple spa position. At 11pm today, I received an email that my account has been disabled with no explanations as to why. I have phone and face to face interviews this week and next, and now I have no access to those email correspondences or resumes.
Hi Kristian, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status that you experienced. We can confirm that an appeal was submitted on the account and our Moderation Team has already emailed you letting you know that your account is fully active at this time. Thank you for your patience during this process!
I am surprised that we didn't get more qualified candidates. I also think that you should be able to post a job for 10,15 or 30 days, and get a notification from Indeed that your post is about to expire. Then you can make a decision to continue the job posting or not. This would help to not go over your budget.
I've used Indeed but never found a job from using the site. Many of the jobs advertised were closed or filled when I applied. It was better for me to go directly to the employer. I wouldn't recommend for a job seeker.

Our account was disabled for no apparent reason. We have reached out and appealed their decision several times without any correspondence from them.
We are happy to do anything and everything to get our job postin into their search quality standards and even explore a paid account, however, they are unwilling to respond.
We are actively recruiting and this has cut into our revenue stream as a result. Incredibly unfortunate.
Hi Matthew, thanks for reaching out. To provide some clarity, all accounts and jobs are subject to our standard rolling reviewing process that can occur at any time. Our team has concluded that Indeed will not show your openings in our search results and your account will remain in its current disabled status. Indeed always retains the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If you have urgent hiring needs, we suggest utilizing other hiring services.
I am a recruiter and have used indeed for many years to find candidates. They recently suspended my ability to contact jobseekers and refused to tell me why. I appealed but they refused to lift the suspension and again refused to tell me why or give me any details.
How do they get away with treating their customers this way? It's beyond unprofessional. Absolutely horrific experience. How are they still in business?
Hi Jim, we're sorry to hear about your experience with Indeed. After looking into your account, we do see that you have been disabled from contacting job seekers moving forward. To protect the integrity of the website and prevent new accounts from being created to get around our quality guidelines, we do not disclose the exact reason for this feature being disabled. You can review our terms of service and privacy policy for additional information (http://www.indeed.com/legal), specifically: "Although Indeed has no obligation to do so, Indeed may monitor messages posted on the Website and reserves the right to delete any User Content or portion thereof which violate the above rules, messages, topics that are unrelated to the specific portion of the Website on which they are posted, advertisements, recruiting or other commercial messages, and any other User Content that Indeed deems in its sole discretion is inappropriate." Thank you.
As an Employer I posted jobs with success for about 6 months. After that I noticed I wasn't getting any applicants. After doing a little searching I realized my jobs were not even being posted. They were literally getting zero views and I could not find them on the list of jobs posted. Odd, I said.
I contacted their customer service and after taking a ton of my business info to "verify" me... not sure why they needed to all of a sudden after 6 months... it worked again... until next time I posted a job and same thing. No views. Not found on list. This time no reply from "customer service". I'm thinking this is their way of forcing you to pay for their $#*! service.
They've probably sold my personal info by now.
No thanks. Stay away!
Hello, we're sorry for the negative experience. It is our policy to not sell your personal information to third parties. Unfortunately, we are not able to look up your account with the email address you provided. Please contact us at sitejabber@indeed.com with more details so we can investigate what happened here. Thank you.
Your ability to post jobs on Indeed.com has been disabled.
So my suggestion is to stay far away from them. I haven't logged into this account for roughly a year so there is no reason for this to happen.

Hi, Daniel! It appears your account is going through our standard review process, we have reached out via PM with additional instructions.
I would b surprised if any of these jobs r flreap... haven't heard back from any of them after several applications... they must have sold my phone # to a phoney gov. Grant company in India b. C I have got tons of calls regarding free grants... DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS! If u haven't applied for a grant then the gov. Isn't gonna give u this even if u were "randomly selected"... The gov. Will also NOT ask u for a processing fee
I have been working with indeed for only a couple weeks. After posting ads and also paying for ads my account is suspended with no investigation and decision is final. Makes no sense and you are not able to talk to anyone but an intern?
Tip for consumers:
dont use this site
Our company has had the worst experience on indeed ever. Very unprofessional, inconsistent irrational processes. Worst customer service of any company small or large. Irrational abrupt decisions made by individual amateurs with no communication skills. Truly the worst company.
Tip for consumers:
STAY AWAY.
Hi Wael, we're sorry for the negative experience with Indeed. Unfortunately, after further investigation into your account, we were not able to clear your positions for visibility on Indeed. For additional information, please reference our guidelines: http://www.indeed.com/hire/job-posting-guidelines
I have used indeed.com for several years and have never gained employment from this site. Not even an interview. Snag a job is a little better. I wOuld recommend applying directly from the emploYer's site because indeed sucks, and has for a very LONG time.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use this site for employment. You will never hear anything back, even if you include a cover letter. All applications get lost in a black hole assumably.
My job post has been disabled and I have no idea why. We are a company that has posted a legitimate job add and It has been rejected. We are offering a paid position as a Graphic Designer and have specified type of employment, pay and described the job. Why has it been disabled?
Tip for consumers:
I would not recommend this site to anyone.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. It appears your account is going through our standard review process. We privately messaged you with the next steps of this process!
Indeed disabled my account with no explanation. I have msged them with no response. Upon further investigation they own the monopoly of the job posting sites. So once they cut you out you have no other options except kijiji. I feel this is poor business practice. They should implement a warning system, give employers the opportunity to fix the issue they have found or hear the entire story. I am unimpressed with this situation.
Hi Kathleen, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
Not sure what the point is on applying for jobs on Indeed. I have archived just about every job because my resume is never even viewed. "Applied 22 days ago" "Applied 16 days ago". Companies post jobs but never utilize the sight. I don't get it. I not going to use Indeed. It's a joke.
Hi there, we're very sorry for the poor experience. We have responded to your review by private message, please follow up there so we can further assist.
We are an employer. It was easy to open an account with Indeed, com. We posted our first job add but did not get any qualified applicant. When we wanted to post another job today, a message said that our company was under review. As owner of my company, I called and was asked many inappropriate questions such as details of all activities of the corporation, why we did not have a website, why I have an email with a name different from our company's name? And then we were told that we needed to email a document showing an official registration such as our Federal tax number or our Az registration number?
We refused. We have no idea what they would do with a copy of official registration.
Hello Patrice, sorry that you have had a negative experience with our verification process. To protect our job seekers, our Search Quality team reviews accounts to make sure all information provided matches up. If we notice there are two different company names or emails being associated with an account, we may need to require additional company information in order to allow the job postings to go live on our site. None of the information you provide to us is used for any reason other than verifying your account for visibility and is not shared with any third parties. If there is anything else we can do to help, please feel free to send us a message.
It seems Indeed has resolved not to allow businesses to list their vacancies for reasons best known to them. Disabling accounts for no reasons. Not providing enough reply to correct ones mistake even. Just dictating their monopolistic terms. Better use Indian apps.
Hello Vedansh, we have responded to you directly via private message. Kind Regards- Indeed Support
Entirely too much complication. The website is not user friendly and its options are overkill for what is a basic process, review candidates and pick one. There are so many subjective variables that unless you are an Indeed employee I'm not sure that it would ever make sense, if it even does to Indeed employees. This is clearly overthinking and adding 20 bells to the bicycle when one would do. If you charge by the bell it makes sense. It would not be so offensive if it worked effectively, the response time is woeful and the sorting and selecting software is inconsistent and difficult to navigate. I spent several hours weeding through applicants only to have search results lost. Cancelled my account today and will not be back.
Tip for consumers:
Don't do it.

So today I am hit with this whilst in the middle of a recruitment campaign. Now I can no longer access the candidates. You don't even explain which job posting was not consistent with your quality standards?
Your ability to post jobs on Indeed has been disabled.
One or more of the jobs you posted on Indeed was deemed not consistent with Indeed's quality standards. You will not be able to post any jobs directly on Indeed. Appeal this decision.

I like how Indeed pulls job listings from all over the internet, has useful advanced search features, and most jobs can be applied to quickly. I still do see a lot of irrelevant jobs in my search results though.
Also, Indeed has been having bugs recently where it said I didn't finish my applications even though I received confirmation emails that they were submitted. It also said that no one else applied to those jobs, even though it had been a few days since they were posted. The previous applicants probably had the same issue I had. I tried to submit feedback to them on this, but I couldn't find a way. It didn't seem like that feature was available.
Hi Elizabeth, we have responded to your review by private message. Please follow up there with any additional questions you may have.
As the owner of a multi award winning care provision I am frustrated at indeeds lack of impartiality when it comes to publishing libellous and defamatory content. Following multiple attempts to seek a resolution directly with indeed I will be seeking legal action to protect the interests and reputation of my business. I urge other quality business owners to do the same.
Hi Helen. A member of our team has responded to your review via private message. Please feel free to continue following up with us there, thank you!
I am a business employer. I used these guys for two months and I posted what I wanted for prospective candidates. I got nothing near what I asked for and ended up getting charged for every non-viable candidate. Now I am attempting to get my money back and they are playing around with me. I have asked all my associates not to use them either before they get ripped off as well. Don't waste your time.
Hi Greg, sorry for the negative experience. We've reached out to you through email to help. Thank you.
I used this site to post a job opening as a trial using their free offering. A month later I was charged $235 without any notice of my free period expiring or any indication of what charges were accruing. After contacting them they were unwilling to do anything for me. During this period I had 2 people post a resume for me to review. One of them had NO qualifications. I do not think they even knew what they were applying for. This is the WORST experience I have had with any business ever and I have been an employer for over 20 years! Do not use them!.
Tip for consumers:
Try somewhere else.
I was told repeatedly that Indeed was the way to go to find quality applicants. What I got, though, were applicants who didn't even seem to read the adds. We were looking (clearly repeated throughout our add) for someone with years of progressive industry experience who was local and licensed in the industry. What we got were inexperienced (and even college students), unlicensed people with little if any industry experience.
My customer service rep, however, was very receptive to my concerns offering to look my add over to see how I could improve my chances at attracting who I needed. He indicated that some folks just don't bother to read the add. Anyway, I was thankful that customer service wasn't a nightmare and he genuinely seemed to care.
Another note, the site seems to be geared not so much for the employer in that the input format doesn't allow for variables like salary RANGES.
Hello Dee, we're sorry for the poor experience with advertising on Indeed. We'd be happy to provide suggestions to improve your candidate quality. We also appreciate your feedback on salary ranges and will provide this to our product team. Please email us directly at sitejabber@indeed.com with your Indeed account email address so that we can help. Thank you.
