I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
I work for a small company and I posted jobs on Indeed. Everything went okay for the first weeks. But when my free job post gathered a lot of applications, they shut down my account. Too sad that I couldn't let the applicants know what happened. For sure they thought my company just stopped hiring or I just left them with no feedback about the status of their applications.
They have a business model where they tell you the job post is free. Then without any warning they disable your account. I had to call them to figure out what was happening, they told me I had to send them information to verify my business, I did that, and still the account is disabled a month later. I created new accounts and those were also disabled.
To protect job seekers and to provide a consistent experience on Indeed, some types of jobs - such as unpaid roles - are not supported on our site.
My account on Indeed has been disabled and I have not got a clue why?\
I appealed the decision and I received a standard we have reviewed our decision and will not allow you to use indeed reply. I have been in business for over 30 years and treat every application with the respect they deserve. I would like to know what I've done wrong and hopefully get a chance to rectify whatever mistake I've made.

I have been using Indeed to cap recruit employees for almost two years. I have spent thousands with Indeed and all of a sudden they have disabled my account without explanation. Despite that I am a legitimate business and have been using a similar job posting format each time I post, since the initial list I made with them. I am truly disappointed and ashamed to say I have been affiliated with a company that treats business owners this way, especially during the difficult time we are all facing due tithe state of affairs in the U.S. their way of business is atrocious.

I tried to apply for a house cleaning job in my town on Indeed.com and was forced to join a website called Care.com. Instead of the application for the house cleaning job I was being forced to apply for baby sitting. Hard telling how many jobs I would have been forced to apply for on this website before I got to the house cleaning job if I got to the house cleaning job. I was forced to check each box and had no "No thanks" option so I can move on. So I stopped after they baby sitting. What makes this company think I want to baby sit anyhow? I hate Indeed.com also because they send me a bunch of jobs that I'm not interested in or not qualified for even though I have sent applications in for certain jobs and locations. So it looks like I will be saying by-by to this horrible website and it's con games again.
Candidates were not qualified. Those that were qualified were largely unresponsive to interview requests yet. I paid for a sponsored post so i was charged for every resume that I did not reject within the 72 hour review period. Most of the unqualified candidates were able to be flushed out prior to the review period. However, we moved forward with and were charged for 12 candidates. 10 of the 12 candidates were either unresponsive after some contact, and some were completely unresponsive from the outset. Save your money and don't post here.
Hi Lori, we are very sorry to hear about this experience, the 72 hour review period is in place to allow you to reject any candidates that do not meet your requirements so you will not be charged for them. Unfortunately, we cannot control if a candidate responds to messages, this is entirely their responsibility.
We received many, many responses to our ad but so many of the responding applicants have nothing close to the qualifications we are looking for. Seems like this may be a way they are satisfying their unemployment contact requirements. Only a very few are worthy of interviewing
This was our first experience with Indeed. It was easy to post our job announcement, and we paid a modest $5/day to boost it. We also advertised in the local paper and on craigslist, but over 85% of our applicants came from Indeed -- and at less than half the cost of the paper. It was easy to download the resumes, I just wish you could download the cover letter and references, too, into one cohesive document. And a word to the applicants -- take the time to upload your own formatted resume. The ones that are generated by Indeed's software all look alike. You want to stand apart from the crowd!
Thanks for the positive review!
I represent a large global agency. I was asked to set up an account on Indeed. Suddenly my account was blocked. I made four calls to Indeed and eventually found out through a third party I was blocked. I spoke with the account rep who stated I will not get an answer why I was blocked but I can read their documentation and try to figure it out. Once I figure it out I will be allowed to appeal? In addition, the team that makes the decision on blocking do not take phone calls to address issues or dispute. I've not been given an opportunity to speak with professionals internally or customer service that will help resolve or assist. 20 year recruiting veteran.
Hello TJ, sorry for the negative experience and poor communication you've had with us. We'd be happy to look into the reasoning behind your account being disabled if you can email us with your Indeed account email at sitejabber@indeed.com. Thank you.
I had the same experience. I signed up for $50 free services. All but 1 of the 100 resumes I got were even remotely close to what I was looking for. The I noticed charges on my credit card. I'm still trying to get them to stop charging my card and refund the money.
I am absolutely appalled that Indeed controls what reviews people see on Company pages. We are a small company working in an industry which has a notoriously high turn-over rate. We are also based in a city that is predominantly African-American. We have reviews posted on our company page comparing us to "plantations" "overseer" and insinuating people are worked like slaves (the company owner is white). I requested the review to be removed, which I had to appeal... and was denied a second time as it does not violate Indeed's review guidelines. So it's ok for OUR business to suffer, and for my work colleagues and I to be labeled slave-drivers... but as long as it does not violate their review guidelines?! I am beyond angry. I have other complaints, but will save that for another day... oh, and another review!

I have used indeed for a couple of years with reasonable results. Today I got several calls from "applicants" about a job listing that I did not post. The listing was promising very high pay and flexible hours for warehouse workers. We are in healthcare. The callers sent me screenshots of the postings. I called indeed because the postings appear fraudulent. All they could tell me was that there were no active job listings on my account. I offered o send them the screenshots and Jacob with "indeed" told me not to bother. He insisted there was no fraud. I asked him to transfer me to the fraud department but he said he couldn't because the postings were not coming from my account. My concern is that someone is using our name to post fraudulent listings on indeed and indeed doesn't seem to care.

As an employer who has used this site many times with no problem, I must say that their choosing to 'disable' my account when I posted for a Receptionist and offered no explanation or chance to cure/remedy whatever their problem was, is nothing less than infuriating. I will GLADLY spend my recruiting dollars elsewhere. They should be ashamed.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away!
Scam website. Scam Job Offers. People contacting you regarding fake job offers. Who hires somebody without an interview and asks you to deposit money into your bank account. SHADY WEBSITE. I won't be using them anymore.
Hi Jo, we're sorry for the negative experience with Indeed. You can report suspicious jobs to us directly at http://www.indeed.com/support/contact so that we can fully investigate.
indeed.com is a job search engine that fetches the relevant jobs from many other job websites and boards. It also allows job seekers to search for jobs in a specific category or profession. Submitting the resume and creating an account allows members to further narrow down their job search to find a suitable job. The idea of the website is very unique and it can be developed more.
Several times Indeed has emailed me "new" job postings I might be interested in only to find they OFTEN don't even apply to my interests. A few times Recruiters contacted me having seen my resume on Indeed, but so far I haven't received anything worth looking into or I've come to find an engaging description has been posted for months and likely filled already.
My recommendation? Sure, look through the jobs posted, but if you really want to know if it's even still open, go to the actual Website of the employer and apply there.
Stay away from this site. As an employer who spends thousands of dollars annually posting positions on Monster/CareerBuilder/LinkedIn, I gave them a try to fill a Marketing opening. Come to find out the job never actually hit their website because an unnamed "third" party outfit didn't want my positions posted on Indeed. Tried to talk to one of their people David Jurich for help and he was 0 help, completely useless. Stay away and spend your recruiting money with the other companies I mentioned and not Indeed.
They say you can set up a free account as an employer but it is only temporary. They allow you to do it for a couple of weeks then your account is no longer active unless you pay. Sounds like false advertising to me.

Indeed keeps disabling accounts I am creating with no explanation. Indeed is preventing me from being able to feed my family during a pandemic. It is such a shame that Indeed continues to disable a legitimate small business trying to provide employment to candidates.

Its supposedly a free job board but disables your account right after posting a free job. Needless to say it's impossible to talk to a human being. There's a form to appeal the decision, which get auto-denied without explanation.

I tried to post a job for a household manager and promptly received a message from Indeed that my account was suspended. There was no explanation. I have appealed twice and have been given no response except to review the FAQs, none of which explained why my account might be suspended. I have been hiring household managers in full compliance with all legal requirements for five years. I have no idea why Indeed won't let me use their platform or give an explanation.

Hi, I'm not sure why but I have only rec'd 5 applicants ( 2 not qualified) in a little over a months time. I did sponser the ad also. Very disappointed with the return. I started at $15 but just dropped it to $10.00 as I was advised to start with. I find it hard to believe in this area I can only get 5 applicants. Maybe you can tell me what I'm doing wrong with your site.
Thank you,
Jaime
Hi Jaime, we'd be happy to look into this and provide suggestions for receiving qualified applicants. Please feel free to reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com. Thank you.
My experience was okay but not great. I got mediocre results in terms of quantity and quality. It was pretty expensive considering the fact that we did not hire anyone from the handful of "interested" applicants that we got through Indeed.
Hello Bill, thank you for your feedback. We'd be happy to help with improving the quality of candidates that you receive to your Indeed advertisements. Feel free to email us at sitejabber@indeed.com for assistance. Thank you.
I have made mistakes with my account twice now and the support person at Indeed was amazing and fixed it with quickly while being personable and understanding. The tool itself is great and I have been able to find qualified candidates.
Hi Donna, thanks so much for sharing! We're thrilled to hear we were able to help out. Please don't hesitate to contact us again if you need any additional assistance!
Indeed will become a sounding board for all your disgruntled former employees to perpetuate negative reviews of your organization costing you potential applicants, then expect you to pay for that service!

Hi Cindy, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard reviewing process. This review can happen at any time as well. Unfortunately, Indeed has fully reviewed your account and we are unable to show your listings on the site and the account will remain in its disabled status. Indeed or Publishers may reject or remove any Job Ad, and Indeed may disable any Employer’s account, for any or no reason without notice. Although Indeed may indicate why a job or account has been removed or disabled, we cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we recommend utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
