I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
I am a sole trader business customer, and after being offered 20-30 very unqualified candidates was charged over £600! At supposedly 25p per click, This is unacceptable and endangers my private affairs (rent payments etc)
VERY unhappy and wondering if I have a legal recourse to action.
I can never get a job on this website. Waste of my time I had this account for over 6 plus years. I check everyday and nothing I apply for every job and I never get a call back or a message. A waste not worth my time.
We are very sorry to hear about this, Tekilah, it can definitely be frustrating having to sit and wait to hear back from an employer. To clarify, when you apply for a job posting on Indeed your information is sent directly to the employer. Indeed does not screen candidates on behalf of employers so we cannot say why an individual employer may not respond to an application you submitted. We have sent you some resources to assist with your search by private message.
Please indeed there's company contacting me that I have job offer. But it's fraud using the real company name. Can u make background check for the company before posting the vacancies of company posting... Tnxxxx and best regards..
Hello Mae, we're sorry for the negative experience and would like to investigate this further. Can you please email us at sitejabber@indeed.com and provide us with any communication you've had with this company? Thank you.
I wouldn't be surprised if the resumes that they send you are just fake resumes that the company drafts on their own. They charge your card without your authorization and they continue to do say for months and months. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. Just stay away. Use craigslist.
Hi George, we're sorry for the poor experience with Indeed and would like to help. Can you please reach out to us at socialservice@indeed.com with the email address on your Indeed account so we can take a look into this for you?
I was playing around one day. Got a link to indeed.com and decided to just play around. I am a convicted felon and had yet to find a job. As I got on the site, it persuaded me to write a resume. Which was so easy! Needless to say I posted my resume on a Tuesday and got a job on Wednesday! No exaggerating. I literally got offered a job the same night and got hired the next morning! Felony and all. Thank you indeed.com I will recommend you to everyone I know!
Tip for consumers:
Just go for it !!
I have a small company, I was seeking for 2 trainees to recruit. In fact, my account was deactivated. They offered me an opportunity to appeal and issued me a normal e-mail to tell me that I was a pyramid.
I built up another account, with an apprentice role different. You have disabled my account as a pyramid system using the same basic email. I supplied further details and broke my business the second time. Still they dismissed.
It took a long time, but worse, they never researched anything.

I have been looking for work for a long time and stayed on Indeed web site until I found what was perfect for me. It was not a hard site to manage I Love it. Thank you so much for being the perfect site for me.
We're so happy to hear you enjoy using Indeed, Marilyn! If you'd like to inspire other job seekers currently searching for a job, feel free to share your story at https://gotajob.indeed.com.
All of the perspective resumes For employees just kept clicking on yes yes yes none of them had the experience or knowledge in the field in which I was hiring for. But I still had to pay for them to apply
Scot, sorry for the negative experience. We would be happy to provide a free account review to help improve the performance.
I must give this site at least 2 stars. Only because indeed makes an attempt to e-mail me a few related jobs in my area. Sadly, it is still very disappointing that the majority of jobs listed are not located any where near where i live. In addtion to that I am receiving job openings that are no where in the range of what I have requested. For example... I applied for child care in special needs and foolishy receiving jobs in accounting! Hello... just for the record I have no interest in accounting. Very Disappointed... Ronnie S.
Extremely disappointing & dissatisfying. None that have responded are Tax Preparers & the job title stated that a min. Of TWO years tax experience was a min. Requirement. I will be terminating my contract with Ziprecruiter. H. E. Dasinger Owner of Goose Creek Tax Ser., Inc.
Hi there, we're sorry for the poor experience. If there is anything we can do to help, please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com.
Will flag you if you do not sponsor your ads. Will make up some fake reason as to why your account is flagged and say if you want to post, you have to pay.
Cause the ad that I will pay is going to be the exact same ad that is ok if I pay but not if I don't?
Makes no sense
Hi Henry, thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. To explain, it is normal that all accounts and jobs on Indeed will be reviewed. The review process of your Indeed account was completed and it was determined that due to the nature of your jobs, they will require Sponsorship in order to be posted publicly on Indeed. To provide the best experience for our job seekers, certain types of jobs need to be sponsored to be shown on our site. Sponsored jobs are prominently displayed in search results and do not fall back in search results as they age. This visibility will not change and for your reference as well here is more information about sponsored jobs from our public employer help center: https://indeed.force.com/employerSupport1/s/article/360018715251?language=en_CA. We do apologize for any inconvenience.
The one down side that I have found is that people don't read. I have a very specific job listed and need certain experience with it. 90% of the people that have posted don't have experience in the field.
I am a recruiter who owns a recruiting company, we do this for a LIVING! Since last year, we have been disabled 5 times for NO REASON! We have used Indeed for years with no issue, until last year when all of this started. We also have had a very successful time on Indeed, often spending thousands of dollars sponsoring our jobs. Indeed has really gone down hill. I HIGHLY discourage anyone who needs to hire someone from opening an Employer Indeed account, as you will just be disabled, let down, unable to do your job and not hire any of the people that apply because you will be shut down before that.
Tip for consumers:
Do not bother. They will take your money to sponsor the jobs and then not allow you to hire anyone because they disable your account before you can hire anyone. INDEED IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed Employer Account
Hello Ashleigh, thank you for reaching out. A member of our team has sent you a private message.
I opened an account on Indeed and proceed to post my first job post and before the job even posts, boom, Indeed suspends the account. I appeal the decision and they reject the appeal with no explanation whatsoever.
To explain, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met.
Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest.
You can submit an appeal through your account. Please note that the review process typically takes 1 to 3 business days and our team will contact you when they have an update, or if they need additional information.
I used Indeed to find a new technician for my shop. I moved the location every few days. I did find a very well qualified candidate. My only issue was all of the responses I got by people that weren't even remotely qualified. Not sure I can blame that on indeed.
Thank you for the feedback, Mark! We'd be happy to provide suggestions on improving candidate quality. Please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com if we can assist.
Every time i have promoted a job listing on Indeed, they take it as an open invitation to charge my card at will. When you post a job they ask if you want to promote a job listing. Promoting a Job means you are agreeing to pay a certain amount per qualified applicant that applies to your post. You can put a limit per day and how many days you are promoting it. Indeed completely ignores this and charges ridiculous amounts. I paid the first invoice and specifically informed Indeed that I was not happy. I informed them that I did not wish to promote the listing any more and that they were not to charge my Credit Card again. Less than a month went by and they charged my card more than double the first amount. With all of the ways to run job listings with better results, STAY AWAY FROM INDEED!
Hi Jeffrey, we apologize for the poor experience. We have responded to your review by private message. Please follow up there so we can further assist.
I have applied for many jobs on indeed and not one phone call back. I have actually gone out and contacted the companies via phone call (the old fashioned way) and received a job like that. The companies NEVER even looked at my app on indeed. The only companies that did were the commission only jobs...! I wouldn't waste my time with this website EVER again.
After many years of using indeed they have charged me for applications that I wasn't able to review! I wasn't aware I'd be charged for the applications and did not sponsor the jobs. This is ridiculous! Didn't even look at the applicants and was charged for them. I wasn't given any help when I talked to the customer service representative. This service is not recommended.

Hi Amy, we have sent you a DM, please follow up with us there. Thank you!
The jobs and the salaries listed for this website for different job listings here in Florida are so low to where no one can make a living working for low wages on any job listing through indeed.com. No matter what job is listed the jobs are not worth applying for plus they don't pay enough to have any form of living. Appearantly on this website they don't seem to get that the cost of living is high here in Florida and the wages seen on job listings pay so low that a person would live back in the early 2000's and back. They need to ensure they are listing pay to be up to date with the cost of living. Plus you don't hear back from any of these employers.
Tip for consumers:
Never trust it. I never hear back from any employer listed on this website. Looks like a scam to me.
Hi! Indeed does not create jobs on behalf of an employer, the content on a job posting is entered directly by the employer. When you apply for a job posting on Indeed, your information is sent directly to the employer, subject to Indeed's Terms of Service. Indeed does not screen candidates on behalf of employers so we cannot say why an individual employer may not respond to an application you submitted.
While Indeed is not directly involved in the hiring process, we advise checking out our Career Guide page: https://www.indeed.com/career-advice, there are some great resources here that will assist with all areas of your job search!
Indeed disabled my employer account, asking I sent in a proof of company registration and insurance for the company. I immediately sent in same. They came back to me saying the document submitted didn't meet their requirement. I wouldn't know what document they expect I send more than our Company registration certificate. The deactivation of my account came when I complained indeed took over £200 out of our company account fraudulently, a manager in this business mentioned they were going to look at this for me with a view to issuing a refund after investigation, no such investigation, nobody got back to me, no refund. All they did was disable my account. I have urgent role to fill, they are going to cost me a lot as if I don't fill the role, I lose customer! Terrible thing to do to anyone!

As the title says, I tried to post a job for the restaurant I'm working on opening and was asked to call to verify the account before the post could be made live. Ok, no problem: I call and go through the questions (answering everything correctly, because it's my business and I had just tried to put the listing up the night before) and was told within an hour of the call that my account would be verified. Instead within 30 seconds of hanging up I received 3 emails from indeed: a welcome email saying my account was verified, an anniversary email (weird), and an email saying my account was locked with a link to appeal (that doesn't work and constantly reloads the page).
I love, love, love this website.
Easy to navigate, easy to filter, easy to apply.
I have found a job off of this website with the last 3-4 jobs I have had.
I would definitely recommend using this site to anyone.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us some feedback, Caitlyn! We're so glad you found success on our site! If you ever need additional assistance, feel free to reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com.
Received a text message wanting an interview on yahoo messenger, the company was" Lipa Pharmaceuticals" for strictly on line job, she got my information through indeed and everything was fake, i did research and for some reason i did not believe it. Text the company a very ugly message. I though indeed was a good site for people that really need to work to survive and be good citizens, I really believe in indeed because i found my previous job in indeed site,,,,,,
Hello Araceli,
Sorry for the negative experience with Indeed. The account under "Lipa Pharmaceuticals" has been disabled since May of this year. If you have any email communication or additional information that you can forward to us, please forward it to socialservice@indeed.com so we can investigate further. Thank you.
First time using indeed as an employer and my account was disabled within 24 hours without explanation. The appeal returned nothing but copy-paste responses.
Seems to be a common problem for small business owners on this platform.
Hi there. It seems that we require further documentation to continue your account review. We're happy to help walk you through this process and have sent you a private message. Please follow up with us there, thank you!
I am an employer and I use Indeed to post multiple job openings for my company, I have bee using them for about 4 years now. I use to have a lot of good luck with Indeed but lately, they are very hard to use and very frustrating to work with. I do not find it necessary to pay $20/day to post an ad on their website nor do I find it necessary to pay per click as people apply for/click on multiple jobs. I do not understand why Indeed gets to decide if I pay or not for job postings, nor do I understand why I get messages that says my job posting is identical to another when clearly it is not. I am very disappointed with Indeed and their job postings and as an employer, I would recommend to others to look around for different sites to post on as there are ones on there who don't have specific ways you have to word your post in order to post it for free.
Hi Michaela, sorry for the poor experience. If there's anything we can do to improve your experience, please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com

We provided a full refund for the overspend of the position past the intended spend of £20. This client agreed that this resolution was satisfactory to him. The response from the client after receiving the refund was "Thank you for resolving this fully. I am more than willing to add this positive experience to my review, which I have to admit is a considerably better result than I was expecting."
