I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
Here is the body of one of the emails sent to them and they continuously responded by computer generated responses.
I have received your email in which you have mentioned the requirements regarding verification of my clinic/company, tax documents, utility bills. You never asked for such verification when I was signing up. You never mentioned any such preconditions while I was signing up. But as I have increased my activity on your website and I am in the middle of reviewing candidates to shortlist them, you have disabled my abilities to continue hiring. I am so much disappointed by your behavior that you don't need any verification at the start. But you disable the functionality of hiring process in the middle. Of course, you are monitoring my activity and breaching my privacy. Do you think you're the only website providing such services and there are no competitors? Do you think that you can make me or my staff dependent on you? What sort of a non-professional behavior this is? There are places on Internet where reviews about indeed.com are written, which would be very helpful for your competitors.
Very disappointing indeed people.
We needed a couple of urgent positions filled, so took an hour to set up our location and search resumes. They offered a free 3 day trial. I set up the first job posting and left it in limbo while I went to put our company card on file to finish the free trial.
Before I even got a chance to do that, our business account was disabled for no apparent reason for a job posting that broke their ToS. Except, we never posted it yet. It was still in edit mode and remained unsubmitted.
It is evident to me that they want your account to be suspended during the free trial in order to squeeze you into buying the service. That method won't work for me, as we will take our business elsewhere and won't look back.
I posted an appeal and got an auto response that said the appeal was denied and no further details would be given as to why. Check out my screenshot.
I set it up with our legitimate company information per their requirements. Plain ridiculous. Look elsewhere for your employment search needs. Indeed had gone down the toilet, indeed.
Hopefully we can find qualified candidates to put to work as soon as possible. Just won't be from here.
Tip for consumers:
Don't. Plenty of other reputable sources which won't disable your account due to using a free trial.

None. Account disabled during free trial. Just ended up with a waste of a couple hours of my time.
Hi Adam, to explain, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status that you're now experiencing. We see you have submitted an appeal to our moderation team which is the correct process. Once the appeal is reviewed, a final decision will be made and you will be emailed regarding the decision. It is important to note that this appeal will not guarantee visibility on the site. Please note that the review process typically takes 1 to 3 business days and our team will contact you when they have an update, or if they need additional information.
Thank you,
The Indeed Team
They are disabling peoples accounts for no reason. I have signed up with Zip Recuriter just praying all goes well as they are also ran by same company.

Title: Frustrating Experience with Indeed
I'm a legitimate business owner seeking to hire employees, and I recently had a frustrating experience with Indeed. After creating an account and providing all the necessary documentation to prove the legitimacy of my business, my account was flagged and subsequently disabled.
What's most frustrating about this situation is that, as a business owner, I understand the importance of platforms like Indeed in connecting job seekers with potential employers. However, when my account was restricted, it left me feeling like the system was working against me.
I reached out to Indeed's customer support, and while I appreciate their responsiveness, the issue remains unresolved. It's disheartening that despite providing clear evidence of my business's legitimacy, I still face barriers to using their service.
I believe that platforms like Indeed should prioritize enabling accounts for businesses once their legitimacy has been proven. It's discouraging to think that a platform we rely on for hiring might not value its users, particularly those of us who aren't paying for premium services.
In conclusion, my experience with Indeed has been less than satisfactory, and I hope that they can improve their customer service and account verification processes to better serve legitimate business owners like me.
To explain, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met.

If you want job candiates that have no relevance to the position you are hiring for. ADVERTISE ON INDEED. My job was for a skilled professional and the applications that i received were not relevant at all to the job position. They did not tell me also about my job running racking up to $1,500 in debt till i saw my statements. Totally unprofessional crap site stick to SEEK within one day had the right person. WASTE TIME MONEY AND INTERNET SPACE. Although I am semi happy with the outcome and appreciate the half refund amount no need to advertise on indeed again.

Hi Sandra, we're sorry to hear about this experience with Indeed. We've contacted you directly and have submitted a refund request to our Finance team. Please do not hesitate to contact us at sitejabber@indeed.com if there is anything further that we can do to assist. Thank you.
My account has been blocked now for over a week. I have a limited company and have sent documents but they still haven't turned it back on.
This is really damaging to my bussienss!
Hi Timothy, we can see that your account went through our standard reviewing process. It is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. Our moderation team has verified your account so you should be able to access the account with no issues. We apologize for any inconvenience here and we would be happy to pass along your feedback.
We sponsored 2 job ads on 2 different accounts as we have more than one company recruiting and almost instantly we got an email saying the account had been disabled due to the ads not meeting guidelines our HR team have checked the ad before posting and have checked Indeeds guidelines and we cannot see what the issue is.
We appealed the decision and asked for guidance on where we went wrong so we can rectify it but got another email rejecting the appeal with no further info other than:
"Thank you for contacting Indeed. Your account was reviewed and, unfortunately, the decision has been made that your advertisements cannot be shown on Indeed.
For your reference, we've linked Indeed's Terms of Service and Job Posting Guidelines.
Your account currently is not accruing costs, and this is a final decision. No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
We sponsored the ads too with a hefty budget per day so cannot understand why Indeed are trying to hamper small businesses trying to survive during such a difficult time when in the world!

My email has been spam free for over 5 years until I posted my resume on this site. Now I get from 10 to 30 junk spams a day. What ever you do do not post a thing here.
My boss asked me to post Jobs as a Confidential Company. So as per my research I could post on Indeed, Because as they do have "confidential option".
At the beginning too much trouble of opening the account.
*First, I tried gmail account they blocked, then I did with another account, again they blocked. From my side I provide everything. They asked me "Utility bills with address", "Tax permit", Company license, even I showed them our registration paper. But it is denied, I asked "Why"?, They said "It is blurry".
Nooooooo! It is not!
May be your eyes are blurry.!
Even I tried company official email, facebook account again same process.
My Boss thinks, "Indeed is best for Jobs Posting, because they have very good data. They have too much video tutorials in Youtube", may be it is true.
But they have unresponssible, careless customer care that makes you stupid in front of your boss, and get fired.
Dear Indeed.com Thank you for you attention for details, and making me fired!
Don't waste your precious time on Indeed.com.
Hi Baimurat, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard reviewing process. This review can happen at any time as well. Unfortunately, Indeed has fully reviewed your account and we will not show your listings on the site. Indeed or Publishers may reject or remove any Job Ad, and Indeed may disable any Employer’s account, for any or no reason without notice. Although Indeed may indicate why a job or account has been removed or disabled, we cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we recommend utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
I've used indeed for about 6 years, they never call you with a job opportunity. I have uploaded a resume to multiple employers, never heard a word from them. Don't waste your time!
Hello Jackie, sorry for the poor experience with searching for jobs on Indeed. If there is anything we can do to help make your Indeed experience better, please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com. Thank you.
I was reveiwing and interviewing candidates for an very urgent hiring need. Indeed disabled my account stating - "It appears the documentation provided is not accepted or unclear.". I sent documents from the bank, IRS and pretty much every legal document available, and they sent a note saying I should contact help desk. They never took my call. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I emailed them several times saying I am a paying customer. I get a canned response from "indeed search quality" saying I should go to "contact us " page for more information.
Meanwhile I am left hanging and the applicants are half-way through the interview process.
This is so unprofessional.
UPDATE May 4 - Indeed reached out to me via Sitejabber. Thanks Indeed team and Sitejabber- They resolved the account issue. We are running into a billing issue since the account was disabled. I plan to work with indeed on that. Thanks to sitejabber, I was able to get a hold of indeed customer service. They are very prompt if you can get them via email. Indeed team responds quickly via email. However getting a hold of them via phone has been a nightmare. I hope the billing issue is resolved with indeed soon.
Tip for consumers:
STAY AWAY IF THEY CANNOT RETURN THE BASIC CALL FOR A PAYING CUSTOMER.
Indeed responded to me via Sitejabber.

ADVERTISING FOR JOBS
Hi there, thank you for leaving Indeed a review. We would be happy to assist you with this situation and have sent you a private message. Please follow up with us there.
Indeed.com is by far one of the better job search sites, most of the employment opportunities listed on there are real employers and this site does have some good features such as being able to save a job and apply for it later when the applicant is ready, however, like most job search engines Indeed has a flaw that becomes quite a nuisance that clutters up a person email inbox and can be a time waster, which time is something very precious to many applicants. The feature that allows Indeed users to save a search and receive email notifications based on that search needs a lot of improvement. For example, one of my job searches is specifically for Emergency medical technician and other health care provider opportunities, therefore receiving constant emails notifications for jobs as a tire technician is beginning to become a major inconvenience where Im spending more time deleting notifications for irrelevant job positions than actually applying for positions someone as myself are qualified for.
Hi Arthur, we appreciate your feedback and would like to help here. We reached out to you through private message. Please follow up with us there for further assistance.
Today I was contacted by a job called IBI Group Inc. They are trying to give me an "online interview" which I have never heard of but I gave my name and things like that but once she asked if I had a bank account I told her I had just recently closed it due to me being out of work for 2months now. She told me to go and open it back up then contact her back I asked her if she was going to need my information (which I was not going to give) but she said no just so I can receive direct deposit. I have a prepaid card that can do direct deposit which I told her but she said I could not use. Is this a scam, Indeed can you please tell me about this job.
Hi Jazzmai, we would like to investigate this further. Can you please forward us any emails you received from this company to socialservice@indeed.com so that we can look into it? Thank you.
Not only are Indeed.com's job recommendations mostly irrelevant to your skills (I'm a software engineer and they're constantly giving me job referrals for nursing positions and other jobs irrelevant to my skills and experience), but those idiots WILL lose your data. I spent several hours today creating a job history on Indeed.com. When I saved all my work, Indeed.com asked me to upload my resume as a file. When I did, it completely wiped out all the work I had just done. I want my online information to be extremely detailed and then limit my physical resume to a single page that references that online data. When I tried to do this on Indeed.com, they replaced all my detailed information and they provide NO WAY to retrieve it.
Customers have been complaining to Indeed.com about this for 2 years but they've done nothing to protect your data and ensure that their web UI doesn't trick you into deleting it.
There are other job sites out there that are far better than Indeed. If you don't have an account, don't create one. If you do, delete it.
Hello Ryan, thank you for taking the time to reach out and share this with us. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message. Please follow up with us there if you have any additional questions or concerns.
I have used indeed to hire 4 separate positions in my company over the past 8 months. Their pricing is up front if you want to be sponsored - monthly or daily budgets - and I receive quality applicants along with people who aren't qualified. I have posted free and sponsored ads, with success from both, but more so the sponsored. I did sponsor the free ad after 3 weeks of no success, but that didn't help, I didn't receive many but the ones I did receive I was able to make a hire. We understand it is not Indeed's fault if we get under qualified people answering our ads, many people take a chance and apply for jobs they want without the experience needed. I have never received spam mail from Indeed and I have been with them for 6 years. My sponsor ship has always been fair in price - you have to know when to pause it if your budget is getting too high or you hired someone. We are in control of our account and honestly I believe the people with a negative review simply don't know how to manage their account or they don't understand fully what they signed up for. I have had so many good applicants for the jobs I posted I had to pause them after a few days just so I could have time to read through the resumes and phone screen.
I like Indeed and I highly recommend it to any employer looking to hire.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you understand the sponsorship before you sign up. Make sure your ad is more than 50 words and detailed so you get more applicants. The more you explain what you want and expect in your new hire, the better response you will have. Also give a little detail to who you are. People are very cautious online these days - you must be a little transparent. Good Luck!!
Hi Christy, thank you so much for your positive feedback on using Indeed. We're very happy to hear that you've had a good experience with us, and we are more than willing to help you and any of our clients when they need it. If there is anything else we can do to help you hire, please feel free to reach out to us here or directly at sitejabber@indeed.com. Thanks again for trusting us with your hiring needs!
I put in only 4 questions and one of them was that the applicant 'MUST HAVE A SMOG LICENSE" and got 7 applicants that answered no but still applied and one who outright lied and said yes he has a smog license and up on phone interview, he admitted he did not have one. He was just applying to keep up his unemployment needs. Indeed did get more stupid people trying to apply than the newspaper though. It's not "Indeeds" fault I know.
Hello Joe, sorry for the negative experience with Indeed. We'd be happy to help you receive better qualified candidates. If you'd like some 1 on 1 assistance, please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com and we'd be happy to help. Thank you!
My first and only post, no explanation, no email. Just "disabled"! A very unfriendly forst contact.
Why would I want to post jobs if that is the Indeed approach? Indeed, stay away.
Hello Ella, thank you for reaching out and sharing this experience with us. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message. Please follow up with us there so we can further assist.
Many apply they need journeyman license to apply. Indeed gave very small credit after calling in and speaking to indeed. The closest applicant was a licensed pipe fitter.
I don't know why indeed always choose to disable a employer account of a whole HR of a reputable company after all the necessary information needed is provided.
Hi there, it appears your account is going through our standard review process. It is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our job posting guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status that you're now experiencing.
In this case, we see that an appeal was submitted on the account and our moderation team will reach out to you via email from employersupport@indeed.com within the next 24 hours. Double-check your spam/junk folder as well since sometimes our emails can be sent there as well. Please note that the review process typically takes 1 to 3 business days and our team will contact you when they have an update, or if they need additional information. Thank you!
First time user of Indeed. Pleasantly surprised by quality of candidates and the tracking system embedded in the system. Very good customer service as well. Will use again.
Thanks for your feedback!
I created an account to get staff for my business and my account got blocked after i spent 3 hours looking over CVS. Without any reason to why it was blocked.
Hi Jassim! We have sent a private message to assist further, please reply back at your earliest convenience. Thank you!
I have used Indeed to search for jobs and like being able to type in a specific talent and see what jobs relate to that talent. It is very helpful for brainstorming potential jobs.
I did experience the fact that many of the jobs were recycled and did not actually exist when I followed up from an application. Without calling the employer to follow up, I would be living with a lot of false hope. As it is, I had wasted a lot of time going through the application process.
I decided to use Indeed as an employer to advertise. They share that to list a posting is free, but ask for your account info for incidentals and other items. I was charged $147 within 15 days. When I called to ask what those charges were for, they just kept saying, "Well you gave us your card you must have known what those charges were". Really?!?! Three candidate resumes were sent to me, none of them even read the job listing so they weren't valid.
I cancelled the job listing and told them to delete my account. They claim they did, but true to form charges are still being taken from my debit account. What a rip off! I heard from a retired person at SCORE that Indeed had never stopped contacting her and she has been ten years in retirement. I see that the same thing will happen to me. My "cancelled" posting is still out there. EMPLOYERS DO NOT USE INDEED!
We are a small business in North Jersey. We employ 4-7 people depending on the season. We posted job posting on indeed for two new hires. After a week of searching we could still not find our post.
When we called the support staff on the phone we kept getting different reasons why our listing was not appearing on the site. They asked us to verify business (which we did). Then they asked that we rewrite the listing (which we did). Then they asked us for taxation information (which we provided). Then they suggested that we expand the geographic location for the job (which we did). After two weeks and all that work the posting still was not appearing. It became apparent to us that the staff was simply giving us canned responses of things to try because they did not have a clue of why the listing was not showing up. All they were interested in were the promotion fees to feature the job. Otherwise it did not matter enough to solve the problem.
After searching on the web we realized that we were not the only small business with similar problems of ghost listings (job posts that don't appear in the search result). Indeed appears to only promote services and posters that make it the most money. Small locally owned businesses are not in that category. If you do post on the site you will get very little exposure even when paying the promotional fee of $20-$30 per day!
indeed.com is just another fancy packaged website that takes users money and gives them nothing but aggravations in return. Save yourself the money and the time. Avoid indeed.com job site.
After having our Social Team review the account here further, we were able to find additional verifiable information online and reinstated the employer's account. We reached out to the employer to notify them that we've re-enabled the position within the account and that they would be able to use Indeed moving forward.
The self serve concept of the site is convenient and easy to use. Plus the staff at indeed is friendly, and helped me quickly with a small discrepancy we had early on.
Glad we could help, thanks for the feedback.
The site is great for generating a large number of applicants. My only complaint is that there is no option for adding disqualifying questions so we can filter out unqualified applicants easier.
As the world's #1 job site, with over 180 million unique visitors every month from over 50 different countries, Indeed has become the catalyst for putting the world to work. Indeed is intensely passionate about delivering the right fit for every hire. Indeed helps companies of all sizes hire the best talent and offers the best opportunity for job seekers to get hired.
