I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
My account has also been suspended for no reason at all. I searched for candidates and wanted to send emails through and received the message that my account has been suspended.
Hi Georgia, we apologize for the poor experience and we have responded to your review via private message.
I am finding that I can't use features that I used to love. What happened? I actually have a better more current phone so that should not be the problem. I also use the Indeed app

I have been using Indeed for the last 3 weeks, as I am a recruiter with a small recruitment business. I have 2 active recruitment campaigns, have several candidates in progress for roles, write extremely professional job ads with NO discriminatory restrictions. These roles are clearly stated as permanent, full time positions. And yet, I just received an email advising that my account has been disabled. No reason, no example, just disabled. ALL candidate information has been removed, I have no access to active candidates in the process of being interviewed. THIS IS EXTORTIONATE. I am appalled. I will now move to another service, happily PAY for the service knowing it MUST be better than this disgusting experience.
UPDATE: 29/9/19. After providing a volume of paperwork to verify my ownership of and relationship to my business, my account was reinstated. Then, after re-writing the header to better meet Indeed's guidelines, my job posting was re-instated. I maintain the approach to disable without prior warning or communication is poor client engagement and detrimental to business, however Indeed were quick to re-instate on provision of requisite documentation.
Hi Tova, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
Best outsourcing concern gives best consultants to the clients. Clients are very much satisfied with the consultants as we give only the best resource in the market.
Hello Divya, thank you for the wonderful feedback!
Good response from candidates. Identified a very strong candidate and made employment offer. Site makes it easy to organize resumes. Will use Indeed again.
Thank you for sharing your experience!
While I have had a few emails of interest from employers I applied to through Indeed, I've applied to thousands of jobs over the past three years on Indeed.com. Most of the jobs are not really available to the general public; just an assuaging of unemployment anxiety to be able to apply at major companies such as Lockheed Martin, Time Warner, Viacom, LVMH MOËT HENNESY LOUIS VUTTON, etc. When in all actuality, your application for these major companies goes into an oblivious data base where YOUR NAME RESUME AND QUALIFICATIONS WILL NEVER BE CALLED UPON!
One star is generous (see edit note for change in rating).
Twice in past two months I had my employer account disabled for unknown reasons. Appealing this decision resulted in a frustrating run-around with generic answers but no reasons provided. They kept changing the reason for the account deactivation - first it was job didn't meet standards, then it was company couldn't be verified. First time after getting no where with the "quality" team despite providing all the documentation they requested I changed the account to a different email address and opened a new one.
Posted two jobs in Feb, hired for one, paused the other after not receiving applicants who were good fit. Today we decided to close the job until we could reevaluate our posting and make sure we properly define the position. Two hours later, received message that account was disabled. Appealed decision and receive a generic "We have reviewed your account and have found it to be unsuitable for Indeed." message back.
We will find a better platform for job postings - indeed is not worth the headache.
Edit: I have changed my rating to 3 stars. 0 stars for the initial issue and lack of effort on part of the "quality" team who review the account appeals. 5 stars for Candace from the Client Success team who was able to get everything sorted out in a timely manner. If those responding to deactivated account appeals put in half the effort she did I suspect many of these poor reviews would be rated differently!
Hi Randy, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a moderation process and it can be at any time. If you opened a new account with a different email a review process will still take place. We'd like to look into this further with you, please email us at sitejabber@indeed.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
Ask Indeed when you give them $2,500 or $3,500 for the month what % of that money you are spending for minimimum wage fast food workers sending you resumes for highly skilled manegerial positions? 85 to 95% of the resumes they charge you or are from McDonalds or other fast food workers, motel desk clerks, bank tellers, bartenders etc. You fill out and check 5-years minimum experience in specific fields such as parts management, engineering, welders, accountants and you end up paying for people who are not qualified to take the trash out. When you complain to Indeed and supervisors they promise they will do a better job but it never changes. Why would they change it that is how they make their money. If you do not mind paying for 100 resumes in order to get one or two who at least have some experience go for it. I will wager you will find out the same thing we did. This company is a farce and frankly there should be a class action suit filed against them for fraud. We spent a lot of time off an on for three years after being promised better results and management intervention which was all lip service. This reveiw is based on years of exeprience not a one time bad experience.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid Indeed like the plague unless you are mad at your money.

Hi Terry, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. We're sorry to learn of your poor experience using the site and we'd like to see how we can help. Please note, when you sponsor on Indeed you're not paying for the number or quality of applicants. You're paying for your position in search results against your competitors. We'd still like to see how we can help you try to attract the right talent on our site. We've sent you a private message and we look forward to speaking with you.
I am recruiting for a school support position for my autistic son. I had signed up for what I thought was a sponsored job and set the monthly limit for $150.
I was billed twice that amount for a charge, I still don't understand because the company's whole site is misleading and is designed to have you pay for services you don't know you've subscribed to.
After contacting support, I was reimbursed half of the amount. I then tried posting an "unsponsored" job as I no longer wanted to give my money to the company, but still needed to find a support person for my son.
Unbeknown to me, I was signed up for a "pay per candidate" option where I was supposed to reject candidates within 72 hours or be charged. I was then charged $600!
I contacted them again and they said because they had reimbursed me for the transaction prior, there was nothing they can do and laid out the rules for the program I did not willfully sign up for.
Same game larger price tag.
This company is NOT transparent. They mislead people into incurring charges they do not consciously sign up for.
In my situation, the $600 they deducted should go towards my son's care, not a greedy corporation. Shameful!
Hi Jennifer, to clarify, Indeed is a self-service product and a budget is chosen when the job is posted by the account holder. In addition, you have the ability to pause or close a job posting at any time. PPA pricing also offers the ability to review candidates. Reject a candidate within 72 hours and we won't charge you for it.
We have gone ahead and sent you a DM to further assist. We'd be happy to take a closer look at what happened here!
I got over 3 jobs offers and was able to pick the one which brings me back close to the money I dream but back to the career I dream. You can get any job which pays you lot of money at Indeed I didn't got a job but back to the Career I love.

After placing a want add on the site, I received resumes from people with no experience in the trade I posted even when my add read must have experience in the fields listed. Couldn't find a # to call at first after some research I found a customer service number and was then told that in order for me to reach the right people I needed to redo the job description and of course pay more money to renew the add. Tried getting my money back and was told they were crediting me 50.00 of the 100.00 I had already spent to my account so I updated the add per there instructions and received 2 more resumes, only one of which was experienced, then received a notification that my add had expired, I called Tech support asking why I hadn't received my " Credits" and I got a reply im not even sure what it met. I was also told that my add was at the bottom of the list and that it wasn't being seen by as many people. After a few e mails back and fourth the last one being a week ago I have yet to get a answer. Stay away!
Update,, just got off the phone with indeed rep we will see how it works now
Indeed disabled my account back in January. They stated: We have reviewed your account and have found it to be unsuitable for Indeed.
Sent all required documentation in to get my account reactivated and a few daays later it was reactivated. I've been posting the same exact ads since January and indeed has charged me thousands of dollars and as i soon as i decrease the budget. My account is now disabled. All my credit cards are in my name and match the business address which they have documentation of. Now all of sudden my account has been disabled with me using the same ads I've been using since the account was reactivated in January. I have well over 30,000 candidates that i now cannot contact because of my account being disabled. I'm always hiring for my virtual call center and now all the funds I've spent with indeed was waste. I feel very cheated. This is a disgrace and it's thievery as lost thousands and thousands of dollars. This cannot not be a general business practice for indeed, I need answers to why this continues to happen.

I am a patient guy. I moved to a new town and have been searching for a job since November (at this point it is very late June) I have put in over 60+ places here in this town through this site. I kept telling myself that maybe the economy was really that bad, and that there were no jobs or that there was so many people that were looking that they don't need me. I have called some of these place on Indeed that I have applied for and they tell me "No we aren't hiring, nor are we looking." Thinking that I was not talking to someone that knew what they were talking about I asked if i could get the name of the hiring manager so I could contact them on my own time and see if it was true. Well. It turns out that they were the hiring manger and that they really weren't looking. So I started to wonder about the other 59 jobs that I had applied for through indeed. I called a few of them and not a one of them was hiring. Indeed has essentially wasted 7-8 months of my life. I really have nothing to say to these guys other then please take stuff down if they aren't real. Do a good job of keeping thing up to date or just hire me and i will do it. But until that happens i really really strongly suggest that people don't use it. I went through monster and the first 3 jobs i applied for i got calls back the next day. 3 jobs in 7-8 months and none of them were from indeed. I strongly suggest that people don't use it.
Tried to post a job on the site. They deactivated my account and refused to post the job for some unknown reason. They wouldn't tell me why so I could adjust the job posting. They actually said they "cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed." There were other companies posting the exact same job. So, it wasn't the type of job I was advertising.
I chatted with them on facebook as well as appealed their decision and got little information on what their objection was. Although they obviously have the right to refuse service to anyone, their customer service skills are virtually non-existent.
After posting this review, they suggested discussing this with them over a private message. They did this on facebook as well. But in their private message they only sent the same response they originally did with no new information.
1, We don't want your business.
2. We won't tell you why.
3. Sorry.
Sounds like something their legal department told them they could say without risking a law suit.
After that generic response, they stopped responding. (I assume this is to give the public appearance that they were doing something about the unsatisfied customer when in reality... they did nothing).
We're sorry for the poor experience, Gary. We have responded to you via private message. Please follow up with us there.
I PLACED THE JOB OPENING AND WITH IN A WEEK THE JOB POSITION WAS FILLED. THEAPPLICANT WAS WELL QUALIFIED AND ACCEPTED THE JOB RIGHT AWAY. I HAD A FEW QUESTIONS AND THE SERVICE WHEN I CALLED ON THE PHONE WAS HELPFUL AND VERY FRIENDLY.
I WOULD USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Mickey!
Trying to find a ob on this sit is impossible. You click o the job and it takes you to another page. This continues everytime you cick on a ob, never tang yu to the actual job.
I am a small business owner looking to hire sales associate but for reasons unknown to me, my account keeps getting disabled.
Indeed has cornered the market almost entirely for resume's.
If you aren't using indeed, your business will suffer. Recruiting has been monopolized almost entirely from this company in the past 5-years.
They are predatory in nature. You can see this every time you place an advertisement on their website. They will highlight, and draw your attention to their paid options, while minimizing and changing the sides where the opt out button is located.
If you run a free account, they will flag your ads for no reason. Over and over again.
You will have to supply them proof every so often. They will tell you that no one is available to unflag your account for a week, but if you sponsor it will happen immediately.
This company only cares about nickel and diming you at every corner. During a global pandemic, where staffing has become critical, this company would rather lose your business entirely by employing their predatory tactics, then building a relationship with potential clients.
All recruiters need to take note, and stop using this company for their recruitment efforts or we will very quickly see a middleman between us and people, that charges exorbitant rates.
How can a small business survive when you're forced to pay 2-4k a month in indeed fees? Something needs to change. Governments should be lobbied against these criminals.

I have had no positive outcome from this site. My mom made me use it versus Craig's list claiming it was "safer", but I actually could have gone to jail over it! I was contacted by a lady, supposedly employed by the EPA (environmental protection agency), needing a full time nanny right down the road from me & gave me this long story of how her son was sick in India, that she was going there from her job in New Mexico to pick him and his little sister up and my first day was when they arrived. This all escalated into her "leaving her belongings & vehicle with a moving company and it was to be shipped to me, and she was giving me my first weeks check ($600) and including $2450 for the movers fee" which then went on to "a problem with the moving company and I needed to western union the fee to her in India because she needed to auto pay it". After reading online I shouldve known it was fake and not even cashed the check but I fell for it! Thank god the teller called in the check because I was told it was fraudulent-I wonder why she needed me to send it back so quick!
This woman went on for over a month, took her sweet time in the process (which I understood because I thought she had a sick son to take care of), and they even took several days to respond at times. She wasn't persistent at all. Be careful of these scammers! I hope nobody else has to go through this like I did!
She used the name F3licia Tayl0r
(I used the numbers so the scammer does not find this name in a Google search & change his alias)
I was using Indeed as reciter for my small business for few months; suddenly My employer account disabled without reason
I make appeal 2 times without knowing the reason
