I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
I've been using the site for about 2 weeks and gotten contacted by" recruiting " companies, not the actual employers and they want some very personal information. Extremely shady. When you question these people they get VERY ignorant about you doubting there credibility. Won't be using this sketchy site any longer...
Tip for consumers:
DON'T TRUST THIS SITE
We were able to choose from a large pool of available candidates. Overall we had a positive experience using Indeed. There was some issue with candidates from too far away or with job skills that did not match what we were looking for, but for the most part all went well.
As a recruiter I do not have many negative things to say about Indeed.com. If you take the time to understand how the site works, it can be a huge asset. I also have a Monster.com account, which after using Indeed.com for over 3-4 months now, I will be deleting my Monster account. I love that I can set limits and amounts for my postings, I control how mush I spend, not the website.
Indeed.com is my top site and I have recruited excellent talent because of them. Do not listen to the badgers out there, if they had over charges it was because they themselves did not take the time to research Indeed.com and therefore got charged more than expected.
Love this website!
Hi, I have no idea why my account has been disabled. I had been using it very well for some days but without any apparent reasons or issues, it just got disabled and what I can see is only dashboard asking for sponsorship. I need to fix this immediately. Any help?

Update 2/10: We have attempted to assist this user but they have not responded back to our private message.
Indeed disabled my account like everyone else on this thread with zero explanation. I appealed and they denied with zero explanation again. I am not impressed at all. I was in the middle of trying to hire 2 positions for a client located in the US. If you're going to disable an account at least have the decency to tell me why. And I'd love to have direct contact from a human.
Hi Simmi, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. It appears your account is going through our standard reviewing process and we will need more information on the business to proceed. We have sent you a private message for assistance. Please feel free to follow up with us there.
Over the past couple of months it has been a struggle going back and forth with indeed. They keep disabling our business account in less than 24 hours. I have followed the same process for long as I have been making use of Indeed, I need answers, there is no response it has been a waiting game. It is so disappointing considering we have been making use of their site for years. Why is my account being disabled every single time. I have appealed so many times but nothing.

I've used Indeed to search for jobs. They have a great many openings posted, but I personally found a lot of them in my field to be people trying to mislead you into thinking that it's a bigger/better job than it actually is - I know that from being very connected to players in the industry here. I suppose that eventually you could find a job here, but it seems that the really good jobs are not advertised. I sure haven't seen them. Maybe good for temp or seasonal jobs, but they don't seem to be openings that I can't find when I search other common job sites.
None of the jobs I've applied for never come thru. They always show postings that are 30+ days old. They bombard your email with positions that are mediocre to say the least. Worst job board ever, maybe even craigslist for your area is better
Indeed disables accounts without any reason. I have a small business that is verified with Glassdoor and I was trying to hire more employees. However, Indeed disabled my account randomly and I called 3 times and no one was able to help/
It's an okay site. It can be confusing at times because it seems so much is going on with this site. They may send you to another site to apply for a job. One time, the site sent me to CareerBuilder. I was shocked.
Hi Jennifer, thank you for sharing your experience with us. To explain, Indeed is a search engine for jobs and as such we bring together jobs that are advertised on Job Boards, Staffing Firm's sites and Direct Employer's career pages to give candidates the ability to do their job search in one location. We also have thousands of recruiters post their roles directly to Indeed. In some cases, you may be directed to an employer website or another job board to complete your application. We hope this helps clarify any confusion. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our team directly at sitejabber@indeed.com. Good luck with your search!
I am truly disappointed from an Employer standpoint of their process. I religiously make comments on applicants that are never reviewed or ignored by Indeed. Employers are paying the bills, yet Indeed continues to allow applicants over and over again apply to my Agency after being rejected costing me $$ every time! I have spoken to my rep on numerous occasions and have asked them to either police my comments/feedback as the Employer or even charge 50 cents for each applicant to apply which I would hope would make the applicants more mindful of what jobs they are applying to. I am ignored. I spend in excess of $1,000 per month and continue to see the same applicants that no call/no showed to interviews, were rejected due to lack of experience, etc. I continue to pay for these over and over again!
Hi Christian, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
If you want to UNSUBSCRIBE from this irritating padding of a site then be prepared to give it a little time. Goodwill is nonexistent in a relationship that demands your attention and your inbox space long after you require their services. Indeed.co.uk do not allow you to unsubscribe from emails and to delete an account takes the patience of NOT ME. After many many many fruitless avenues on the site I finally got the message 'Hey dummy! We ain't letting you do that.'" So I created a rule in my email client (hotmail) to delete their mail
Hi Brenda, sorry for the negative experience with unsubscribing to emails from Indeed. I've paused all of your alerts so that you do not continue to receive emails from us. You can also visit www.indeed.co.uk/my/alerts while logged into your account to pause or delete any alerts. Thank you.
Indeed.com is a scam. They set up an account to post positions with a "limit" for number of clicks (supposedly people who respond) If you have any issue, you can't get anyone on the phone or to respond to an email. As an employer who intends to hire several positions over the next few months -rest assured I will NOT utilize Indeed.com
Indeed stores your information indefinitely. It is providing to employers your job search history, linking your name and alt email addresses as well. If you are an active job seeker always seeking better opportunities and/or growth do not register with indeed.com. Your continuance of opportunity is constantly being forwarded to potential employers creating an irrelevant view on your job history and searches.
Hi Kay, Indeed values the trust our users and customers place in us when they give us access to their personal data. The Privacy Policy describes how we work to maintain that trust and protect that information. You can view our Privacy Policy information here https://www.indeed.com/legal#privacy.
I fell for the $50 free offer, and ended up spending $150 for absolutely nothing but wasted time. I advertised for specific experience and qualifications. In return they sent 20-30 listings - NOT ONE had the experience I'd advertised for (landscaping). Mostly they sent clerical, medical, a few mechanics - apparently, anything they could glean off the web. The nicest thing I can say about Indeed is "buyer beware."
The setup for Indeed job posting was simple and straightforward. However, Most of the applicants we received did not have the basic required experience and qualifications. Indeed could be a better tool if there were better screening/filtering mechanism in place.
Hi Norcada, we appreciate the feedback on your experience. We would be happy to provide suggestions on receiving better qualified applicants on Indeed. Please feel free to reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com for assistance.
Our company a first time Indeed user. Everything was going well, we received a lot of response from our posting. Right up until Indeed linked a company page to our job posting. I did not request the company page, they did it on their own. Problem is, they linked a company with our same name but from another state. Evidently this company did not treat its employees well and had terrible reviews. I have already lost 3 potential interviewees thanks to the page because applicants look at the large print, but not the small city and state given. Indeed should check their information for each company before linking pages together, Also, Indeed should check to see that companies who post jobs are even interested in having the additional page.
Hi Donna, sorry for the negative experience with Indeed. We would be happy to help you and ensure that this page is removed going forward so that you can continue to use Indeed in the future. We can submit a request to have the page removed from being associated with your jobs, and also help you claim a new page that you can customize with the correct company information and location. If you'd like us to assist, please send us an email to socialservice@indeed.com. Thank you.
This site seems to be nothing but a data mining site that likely sell your information. I never received any replies to any jobs I applied for and I am very qualified and have a good resume. The jobs are either old or bogus. The only replies I ever got were from jobs found through other sources. My advice is to not waste your time in Indeed.com or indeed.ca
Indeed is an American worldwide employment-related search engine for job listings launched in November 2004. It is a subsidiary of Japan's Recruit Co. Ltd. And is co-headquartered in Austin, Texas and Stamford, Connecticut with additional offices around the world.

I am the owner of my new small recruitment firm. Just posted 2 jobs and my account and account got disabled. I Appeal to the indeed to activate my account, in reply indeed ask the documents for verification purpose. The document were sent but still got a revert as Your account currently is not accruing costs, and this is a final decision. No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
I am ready to pay if they activate my account.
I never no if we post free job ads more than 1, then account will be disabled.
Hi Amir, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard review process. Unfortunately, after your account was reviewed we are unable to proceed with showing your listings on the site. We apologize for any inconvenience and advise reviewing our Job Posting Guidelines and Terms of Service below.

I'm a small business recruting firm and I post jobs for well known companies. Indeed took my fees and I had an employer account for a. Month. As I continued on, I received an email that I violated the rules etc. See screenshot. I even sent in my business license and I still won't get a clear feedback. I would like to be active or at least refund my money that I spent over $600

I look for jobs in Indeed.com but Indeed sends you jobs I don't qualify for and jobs out of state with little pay. If I live in NJ, why will you post jobs in Pennsylvania especially with low pay. Do you know tolls aren't free and the traffic commuting back and forth is terrible. We should have the opportunity to choose state I want to work for as my options. I think Indeed sends any job so it can show they send something. Indeed needs to fix this. Oh by the way, I don't need jobs 1 an hour and a half away if I specified a 25 mile radius.
Hi Bibi,
We recommend using a Boolean search to get more relevant results. We would advise checking out our Career Guide page: https://www.indeed.com/career-advice, there are some great resources here that will assist with all areas of your job search.
Also, check out our videos on Youtube with some great search hacks on Indeed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JF0IukoW8to&list=PL6qIzGkkiXFFGIZ09uOBn4JAGYdooXxfP
This is a follow-up to my original review. Eventually, we were able to contact Indeed staff to discuss the issue. We ended up talking to 3 indeed staff members and all 3 gave us different reasons why the account was suspended. One of the reasons that they gave us was that we were not a legitimate business even though we have been in business for 38 years. We provided them with our Corporate Certificate and our PEO registration but were still unsuccessful in getting our suspension lifted. If we had done something wrong and were told exactly what that was we would have quickly made the necessary changes.
We eventually gave up and were successful in hiring staff using ZipRecruiter.
Tip for consumers:
Because Indeed suspends accounts without warning or reason, I would suggest that you use another job posting service if you have time restrictions.

Hi Rudy, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard reviewing process. This review can happen at any time as well. Unfortunately, Indeed has fully reviewed your account and we are unable to show your listings on the site and the account will remain in its disabled status. Indeed or Publishers may reject or remove any Job Ad, and Indeed may disable any Employer’s account, for any or no reason without notice. Although Indeed may indicate why a job or account has been removed or disabled, we cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we recommend utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
Like many reviewers we were well into the process of recruiting for a new corporate accountant when we received notice that our job posting was taken down and our account disabled. Job description was written clearly, candidates were appropriately qualified, had many initial interviews using the indeed conference app. And without warning or explanation our account is disabled. This is insane.
Hi Joan! Thanks for reaching out. We reached out to you via private message to provide further details. We look forward to your response.
I had opened Indeed and ziprecruiter for small business. They suddenly closed my account I appealed the decision and gave them my account info, they denied saying "Please note that your account currently is not accruing costs and this is a final decision. No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
Meaning they want me to sponsor more jobs. This is really ridiculous, why they advesrtise Indeed as a free job account if they eventually close your account by saying this. STOP USING INDEED
Tip for consumers:
they need better reviews and procedures before shutting down anyones account
