I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
Indeed is the best job search engine in the United States. Other sites such as Zip Recruiter, Monster, and Career Builder are filled with outdated or scam like job postings. Navigating through the website or app as a job seeker is easy compared to other sites. Furthermore, I have posted jobs to different sites such as Indeed and Monster. From an employer standpoint, Indeed is hassle free and user friendly. Five stars indeed!
Spoke to a rep who guided me through the process of getting the biggest return on my job posting. I had no idea of the ins and outs of putting a really good ad for a job in our center. I learned a lot and the gentleman was patient and made sure I understood why I was doing it the way he suggested. Indeed is a great resource and doesn't cost a zillion dollars. We've already hired 2 new employees and have a chance of getting one more. I'm sure I'll be using INDEED again in the future.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback!
We posted a couple jobs recently on Indeed.com. We received tons of resumes but most had absolutely no relevance to the job we had posted, and many were so short as to be useless. We won't use this service anymore.
Hi Phillip, thank you for reaching out to us and sorry that the candidate quality you received was not what you were looking for. We'd be happy to offer suggestions for improvement so that you receive suitable applicants. If you'd be interested in these suggestions, please contact us at sitejabber@indeed.com and we'd be happy to assist. Thank you.
I am fairly new to the job posting section of Indeed, however all the tools are there to make the process easy and efficient. It is simple to use and has gotten me some good candidates and hires so far.
I am beyond disappointed in Indeed. We are a team of therapists In Calgary, Toronto and vancouver that assist special needs children with different forms of therapy (including behavioural therapy). We posted on indeed and received many applicants (several of them whom we already hired), but suddenly our account is disabled. We were relying on indeed to find suitable therapists for our special needs clients. Due to the sensitive nature of this field, we require a large pool of applicants to select from. Is this about money? We cannot afford to pay the same large sum large corporations pay Indeed. We are a small group that tries to do something positive for the community. Why are we being punished? We spent what to us is alot of money. I'd like some answers please
Tip for consumers:
I don't recommend indeed for employers.
Hi Nina, thanks for reaching out. To provide some clarity, all accounts and jobs are subject to our standard rolling reviewing process that can occur at any time. Our team has concluded that Indeed will be unable to show your openings in our search results. In addition, Indeed does not allow non-job postings. This includes, but is not limited to, jobseeker fees, training and education opportunities, franchising opportunities, multi-level marketing opportunities, jobseeker employment solicitation, expired jobs, and jobs which do not represent a specific employer vacancy. Indeed always retains the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If you have urgent hiring needs, we suggest utilizing other hiring services.
Ripoff pricing and sleazy salespeople with awful customer service to boot. They charged me thousand of dollars for ads that got a better response at a nominal cost from Craigslist. Indeed is not long for this scene with their unique combo of poor service and support.
Hi Russell, sorry for the poor experience. We have contacted you via private message to further assist. Please follow up with us there.
Job hunting is sometimes stressful, but Indeed.com sometimes has a couple of potential jobs that I can apply for (but never get). It is very limited in the amount of "jobs" and recruits more for volunteerism or internships. Not at all what they state they are!
I posted a job with indeed. Somehow, I have no idea how, They have taken 1700. Out of our account since Feb. I called and they said oh you sponsored a job. I never signed up for this service. When I posted it was free. I thought it strange that they asked for my credit card. I got a call from some girl saying she was our account manager and if we had questions ask her. I said I don't know what you are talking about. We then found the charges. I called her back and she was laughing saying we signed up and had to pay and nothing could be done. I tried to take my cc info off the site and guess what... you can't! I had to call my bank and tell them and report my cc stolen. 1700. No one ever applied and the ones that I got were over a year ago still the same. Not even hairstylist, this is a scam. They tell you we have no control who applies. Seriously, thieves. If you own a Fantastic Sams stay away at all cost!
Hi Kelly, we have responded to your review via private message to assist.
I have been using indeed for a while now and I have noticed that I never get a call back for any of the positions that I have applied for. Now, I do realize at one point it was kind of difficult to find employment however, I do think things have turned around. I have 17 years experience, great work ethic, have never quit a job, no need to keep going but using this site is a waste of time. If your looking to gain employment stay away from indeed.com, Indeed!
I feel i was very clear in the description of the positions posted. I got an enormous amount of resumes from ppl with no experience and not even in the field of work. Indeed should use a stronger filter so it doesn't cost their customers to look at so many resumes that do not apply to the job or description posted.
Hello, we're sorry for the poor candidate quality you've seen while using Indeed. We'd be happy to work with you to edit your jobs and receive better qualified applicants. If this is something you'd be interested in, please email us at sitejabber@indeed.com and we will gladly assist. Thank you!
Indeed is trolling the web looking for business by offering a "$50" credit for employee search. They charge the poster $0.50 per applicant who responds. Great--I thought I would post a job with a $50 limit and could potentially get 100 resumes to review. They do ask for a credit card number, which I blithely provided. What I didn't realize is that the scam states somewhere in the agreement that the $50 credit is only for the FIRST 30 DAYS. That means, that if you don't get 100 applicants in 30 days, you will see a charge on your credit card for any applicants after 30 days until the $50 limit is reached. Found this out when I questioned a $20 charge on my credit card. The customer service rep stated that she has many irate customers with the same complaint. STAY AWAY from any company with nefarious activity!
I posted first job for my company, and my account was suspended without any explanation. If you are not satisfied with the information provided about my company or job, then please ask. There is no explanation for suspending the account.
Hi there, it appears your account is currently undergoing our standard review process. All accounts on Indeed are subject to an account review designed to protect job seekers and employers like yourself. To move forward with the review process, please complete the appeal form provided in your Indeed account. You can see the link to the appeal form in your screenshot where it says "Appeal this decision" and you can also find it by visiting www.indeed.com/hire and signing in with your email address and password. Once there, you’ll see a link to the appeal form. Please note that the review process typically takes 1 to 3 business days and our team will contact you when they have an update, or if they need additional information.
Wtf they disabled our account during the interview process. THIS COMPANY IS TRASH. Please do something about these!@#!@#
400 resumes to review and they disable us as soon as we log in to review them?
No reason?
Customer service tells us trust and safety has reasons. We verified our postings before listing, its not our fault..
Hi Hayden, all accounts and jobs are subject to our standard reviewing process. The account has gone through our reviewing process and our team has concluded that we will not show these openings in our search results. The account will remain in its current disabled status. As the account has been disabled by Indeed you do not have the option to post a new position. Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we highly suggest utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
The site gave me access to candidates that were more qualified than what I found from other job sites. My only complaint is that the pricing structure for sponsoring an ad is not very clear. The final cost turned out to be more than I anticipated.
Thank you for sharing your feedback!
I am not impressed with the results I have had. In most cases I believe it is resumes you have on file that you push my way versus someone genuinely interested in the posted job. Over 30 resumes sent to me resulted in 3 actual contacts.
We are a business with a listing on Indeed. On the 5th day of our posting, unfortunately on a Saturday, our account was suddenly just shut down. There is no reason given, and no way to contact them except by email (which, from what I'm seeing online, they don't respond to for days.) We are desperate to hire, they have shut us down for the weekend, we have no way to contact the people who already applied. Evidently, they don't choose to spend some of the millions they make a year on having someone answering emergency chats or calls from their employers on the weekends and don't care what the impact is on their paying client's businesses.
Tip for consumers:
let's find another site to post jobs on, apparently Indeed is going to screw their paying customers

Hi Jeanne, thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. To explain, all accounts on Indeed are moderated to ensure not only that our job posting guidelines are being followed but they are also moderated for security purposes. In this case, you will need to call our Employer Mainline directly. Please call using the phone number on this article from our employer help center: https://indeed.force.com/employerSupport1/s/article/207325006?language=en. The article also includes availability times and days as well. Thank you!
We are a small Business owner with sales of machinery equipment, we opened the indeed account like a month ago and it was disabled. Automatically by the bot. I think indeed should be bigger than this now. Putting customers in the hands of a faulty bot.
Hi Maujeed, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard reviewing process. This review can happen at any time as well. Unfortunately, Indeed has fully reviewed your account and we are unable to show your listings on the site and the account will remain in its disabled status. Indeed or Publishers may reject or remove any Job Ad, and Indeed may disable any Employer’s account, for any or no reason without notice. Although Indeed may indicate why a job or account has been removed or disabled, we cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we recommend utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
With literally 100s of CONFIRMED appointments to interview candidates. Less than 8 actually show for the interview, with not one call, communication letting us know.
This is a numbers game for them, through it on the wall and see what sticks. There response has been little more than "well you pretty much have to baby sit them to get them to show up"!? Even if they confirmed just an hour ago? Do I have to go pick them up, wipe their nose, give them a Blankey? Wow, seriously? What great candidates we want to add to our team.
As an small Biz employer I waste more time/$ using Indeed than random calls. Lastly, they give employers a way to rate these candidates therefore they just pass the unfit candidate from one employer to the next, racking up the clicks/$$ so clearly are ENABLERS that provide and encourage this behavior.

I am a small business owner and trying to hire staff for my office. Posted a job for a administrative assistant, however 5 minutes later indeed just blocked my account with no further explanation. I have tried posting a job a week before and it did the same thing, so I tried to appeal it but they just never replied to me. Indeed is awful.
Hi Bekzat, all accounts and jobs go through our standard reviewing process before they can become fully active on Indeed. This review can happen at any time and accounts cannot opt-out. We see that your account is in review, an appeal was submitted on the account and our moderation team did email you back on February 5,2022 requesting additional documentation for your business. You will need to respond back to them only via email. We sent you a private message with additional details about this as well.
They make it impossible for you to cancel your account. I received one terrible job applicant for a real estate assistant. The only other thing I got from them is a bill for over $100. Thank God my American Express card was compromised and I had to get a new one. I will contact everyone I know and recommend that they never use this service. I suppose it's possible they could find a qualified job candidate but it feels a little like extortion. They give you virtually no ability to cancel your account. When I looked up a customer service phone number I had to fill out an entire page of information as to why I wanted to cancel why I needed to speak with them what my phone number was etc. etc. Etc. Get these people out of my life!

Hi Skye, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
Employers reviewing job applicants now lot more time consuming because as of August, 2023, Indeed no longer shows employer pre-screen question answers on applicant's 1st page. Now required to click a link to see applicant's answers.

Hi Michael, we can confirm the account holder is already in contact with one of our client success specialists via email. If they have any additional questions or concerns, they can respond back to the email that was sent on the account. Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback!
I have to put up with Indeed.com searching for prospective employees every day. It is an exercise in futility. They literally recirculate the SAME resumes everyday! I keep looking at resumes I have been forced to look at daily, usually poor resumes. They refuse to allow employers to remove crummy resumes, thus they keep coming up. If the candidate updates the resume, then Indeed allows them to post it like it is new in most cases. Indeed's system is so shoddy I waste dozens of hours each month. Poor site, don't use it.
Hi there, sorry for your negative experience with searching for candidates on Indeed Resume. We allow users to update their resumes and list the updated date so that employers know that they have recently updated their information and are likely to be actively looking for a new role. We will share your feedback about repetitive resumes with our product team so that we can make improvements to our system in the future. You can also use our advanced search tool within the Resume product in order to filter out certain keywords if you are seeing them often amongst poor resume on Indeed. If there is anything else we can do to help, please feel free to reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com. Thank you.
We have spent tens of thousands of dollars with this company they have no loyalty to their customers it took us years to get our ad correct and they just let people copy and paste our ads to their own sites without asking permission. We submitted a complaint they don't respond back all they have is their marketing people respond back trying to get us to spend more and more money but when issues arise they ignore you for almost a month there is no fairness at this company and never respond back. Companies like this will not last long with no Principles
Hi Rahim, we have responded to your review via private message. Thank you.
This has been several weeks that we asked for a deletion of our company account from the website indeed.com and it is not done despite several reminders.
Our company is sensea nordic spa.
The information on this website is impacting our business activities and lower our chances our recruitment because of the false and bashing information it carries. We have started to estimate the financial impact for us for every day they delay the deletion of our account.
UPDATE
Indeed tried to reach us, but never replied to our emails. They just mention this in the review to give the impression that they take care of the problem but they actually dont.
If you are an employer, stay away - I mean very far away - from Indeed, you have tons of alternatives to publish your ads (social media, kijiji, linked in...) and they worked very well for us and are respective of trademark and consumer rights, unlike Indeed.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from Indeed, once you input your company name, they will never take it off even after you cancel your account with them. This is a trap..

Hi Christophe. We have reached out via private message, please reply back when you can so that we can look into this further. Thank you!
So I have a computer company in South Africa and was looking for a receptionist or admin worker. I posted thr job and a few hours later got banned. I literally took a proper job description template and adjusted it to suit my business. I am extremely confused. I didnt even ask for a specific gender or anything which I understand would be a problem in South Africa as a lot of women can be easily taken advantage of.
Edit: So it turns out it is part of their process for new users to verify their account. Was assisted surprisingly fast. Thanks
