I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
I filled out my resume and sent it out to eight places, I had 3 responses to set up interviews in less than 24 hours! Found what appears to be a great job 24 hours after they sent my resume out! I'm making sure I tell everybody who helped me get this job and what a great service it is! My new boss was happy too!
I have been advertising a number of openings with Indeed with some success for about a year until 2 days ago when I noticed I hadn't received any applications. When I logged into my account, I cannot find any of my job postings.
When I contact their online chat, this is the response I got 'It looks like you have a dedicated representative who could best assist. He isn't available right now however, I will get in contact with him so he can reach out to you.'
When I asked when this representative (who I have never heard from before) will be in touch, I am informed 'We are coming to the end of the day and your representative is already finished for the weekend, so you should hear from him first thing Monday'.
So I am waiting with bated breath to hear what the story is with my job postings.
I will update this review at that point.
Hello Nana, thank you for reaching out to us, and sorry for the delayed response. After reviewing your account, our Search Quality team determined that the positions were not suitable for Indeed as we do not allow unpaid opportunities on the site. If there is anything else that we can do to assist or if you have any questions, please email us directly at sitejabber@indeed.com. Thank you.
They have disabled our account without giving any prior intimation. We have used Indeed for past 3 years and never faced such issues before. All of a sudden they say that your account is disabled because you violate our policies and we will not reinstate your account and our word is final. We will also not tell you the reason. What kind of horrible attitude is this. Even google and facebook dont have this kind of attitude towards their users specially paying customers. They have gone so far they dont even want to listen to our Appeal. For the sake of showing they ask Employers to appeal their decision and then within half an hour they reply stating our decision is final and we will not reinstate your account.
Hi Himanshu, we have a review process in place designed to protect our job seekers and employers and ensure a high level of quality in our search results, all accounts will experience this review at some stage. I can see a member of our Client Success team has reached out to assist you with this directly and will follow up with you by email with an update. If we can assist further please email us at socialcare@indeed.com, we are happy to help.
Privately owned business owner trying to find candidates for the opening. Opened my business account and paid for 2 job postings. The postings stayed active for 5 days without issues, suddenly I received a message that my account was under review. I contacted the company and supposedly had the problem resolved. Waited for my post to become available again, only to receive a message that my account has been disabled. I've gone above and beyond to help resolve the issues and they still disabled my account and refuse to work with me. Shame shame shame on this company for not working with employers in this time of need!

After submitting my paperwork and calling them they did not approve my account. We are new to Indeed and wanted to switch from ZipRecruiter since we have heard the positive reviews. However, we cannot get our account going and they will not let us know why.
Hi,
I use to be able to access professional resumes for free on indeed, but now I have to pay $1 per resume that I want to contact? Thats really expensive considering that a lot of times you dont hear back from individuals that you contact!

As a charity, we had used Indeed for a few years and had used sponsored ads for several months. We were then offered by our account manager to advertise for free. The day this was enabled, our account was disabled with no explanation. Our account manager said that it was a head office decision and due to their terms they do not have to give us a reason why. He said that it happens a lot and saw no issue with our adverts. All we want to do is use the service, but are being denied.

I have had over 20 people apply for my listing and whenever I invite them to schedule an interview they never follow up. I have even tried calling some of them and they all seem to find a reason that they cannot come or do not want the job. This is even without an interview or meeting them.
Is there some reason that people apply and do not want to be contacted? Is it just to get unemployment requirements met?
Hi there, sorry for the negative experience with Indeed. We'd be happy to review the candidates you've received and offer suggestions for improvement. We've messaged you directly to assist further. Thank you.
I've been running a business for 5 years and have been using Ziprecruiter and other job boards consistently., I started to use Indeed towards the end of last year to help staff my company due to the influx of work in our pipeline due to the holiday season. Also, due to Covid, we need more help than ever right now to help the company move forward. I started to use Indeed and I started to get good traction and even stated sponsoring my job posts to get more quality candidates. Right when things started to move in the right direction they disabled my account. I then appealed it followed by 0 explanation to why i was removed. I mean I deserve to FIX the issue if I made a small mistake. I am a small business owner and not a big corporate goliath company so I understand I may not be as important to them but i am a paying customer at the end of the day! Indeed, I liked your platform and was starting to grow from it. But removed without an explanation is not cool! I need a answer asap.
Hi Tofiq,
All accounts on Indeed are subject to a standard review process, and Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. Please note: this decision is irreversible and final. If you have urgent hiring needs, we highly suggest utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Last night my employer account on Indeed is suspended. Without any clue. I am not able to access jobs. There was no email or notification given to me. I am not even able to contact their customer service no: *******842 (calling from India). This is causing me trouble. No clue what to do.
Hello, sorry for the negative experience. We have reached out to you directly through email to assist further. Thank you.
I received good advice and help on positioning our Sales Job opening from my representative. It has yielded a good response. We are in the process of telephone interviews and face-to-face interviews. At this point we have not made any job offers. I expect we will have one to two offers and acceptance.
We made two hires from our Indeed Sales Job posting!
Thank you for the great feedback, Barbara. We're happy to hear that you've had a good experience with Indeed so far and hope you make some great hires!
I first started using Indeed on 1/08/2019. I applied for a few jobs and the next day I had two interviews. I was able to download my Indeed resume, so that I had a hard copy to take with me on interviews. I kept my resume private and only sent it to employers I was interested in. I have seen reviews about Indeed and was not sure if it would work. I can see how it could be confusing for someone that isn't tech savvy but if you have patience and ask for help it is a great site.
Hi Linda, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We're so happy to hear you enjoy using Indeed! If you ever need assistance in the future, feel free to contact our team at sitejabber@indeed.com. We wish you the best of luck with your search!
I tried multiple times to send a resume and cover letter to an employer and got nothing but notifications that something was wrong with what I was doing. No information of what was being done wrong. They have my resume on file and have rewritten some parts of it, that makes no sense. How in the hell can I get a job with these irresponsible people that can't run a website company. Am I supposed to drive to the employer to get things done to get a job? If so what good is Indeed. What crap.

I run a financial firm and am actively looking for currently licensed reps. I am very specific on what I am looking for as well as the job description and qualifications. But Indeed out of no where blocked my account. I tried creating a new account but before the listing even went live Indeed blocked me again. No explanation on what is needed to be in compliance, no support, and certainly no help.
Hello Dallin, thank you for reaching out. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message with additional details regarding your account.

Hi Afsheen, we're sorry for the poor experience. We have responded to your review by private message. Please follow up there with any additional questions you may have.
Placed one job on the website and after 2 days was frozen. I asked them what had happened and just received a message with a URL to their user guide, I found nothing that I did wrong and there was no comment that came with the URL. When I asked them to explain I got nothing back. So I got another email and tried to set up a new account but that one was frozen within the hour, it's just no good customer service. If they don't wan to post your job for free than don't advertise that you do.

Just don't waste your time!!!
I have spent thousands of dollars on indeed to hire new employees. Indeed has disabled my account numerous times with a statement that does not even tell us why they disabled our account. This time when my account was disabled we had over 300 people apply to our position. All of these candidates that are looking for a position with our company have not been contacted by us because they disabled our account and will not let us have access to those candidates. This is very unprofessional for us and our business. I am requesting my money back that I paid for the candidates of $832 or give me access to the candidates that had applied to our position. I just cannot believe that a company can operate a business like this. They are very unprofessional.

They dissabled my employer account. When I called them they said to appeal the decision so I did and all I got was a standard email saying it's been disabled. So I created another account and tried again and same thing. Very disappointed.
Hi Tanner, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard reviewing process. This review can happen at any time as well. Unfortunately, Indeed has fully reviewed your account and we are unable to show your listings on the site and the account will remain in its disabled status. Indeed or Publishers may reject or remove any Job Ad, and Indeed may disable any Employer’s account, for any or no reason without notice. Although Indeed may indicate why a job or account has been removed or disabled, we cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we recommend utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
I have been looking for a job for some time. In the last year, I started posting my resume on the internet, searching for new opportunity. Some of the job search websites have limited information on their home page. I understand its about searching for jobs but what about a column of recommended jobs or recently posted attached to your homepage Indeed.com I feel like indeed.com can elaborate more on their internet appeal. What I did enjoy about this particular job search website was the simple text and concise job descriptions. Using blue text against the white background worked out well. It stood out to my eyes and I was able to see the list of open positions a little better.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure to preview your resume before you upload.
I posted a job listing for an English Language teacher and Indeed refused to post the job because I required the applications speak English for an English Language teacher position!
Indeed did not notify us that the job posting has an issue! I had to personally call and find out what was wrong. We have used the same job description and requirements for the past two years.
Since Indeed charges per applicant it is a waste of time and money to have someone apply that does not meet the minimum qualification. In the past we have had numerous applicants that did not meet the minimum qualifications, so we set up questions to make sure we are receiving the right candidates. Indeed still lets people submit their resumes if they are not qualified for the position wasting the time of the applicant and the employer.
Tip for consumers:
After consulting with our hiring board, we amended our job ad to meet Indeed's Terms of Service. As of 5/30/2017 our account was suspended by Indeed. However, our job posting is still live and based on what other users on this site are saying Indeed is still charging us and accepting applications. What a complete scam!

I found that "downloading" my resume resulted in only one third of my resume being sent to prospective employers. The "edit resume" option resulted in having to fill in the same information already on the resume... had to contact the employer directly to correct the error... what a waste - have no idea why this site is even in business
I think the changes made now where you have to sign up for packages is terrible! I am a one person recruiter and don't require several resumes to purchase. Due to the chenages I now need to find another source that will not nickel and dime me. I have been an Indeed user buying for many years until now.
Hi Bev, we have responded to your review via private message. Please follow up with us there.
I created an account on Indeed as an employer and within 30 minutes of account creation i was disabled to post any job, their quality department and customer support department didn't provide any reason, didn't provide me with any assistance or support in regards to understanding their process, the only response I got was you are disabled and not able to post any job. As per customer support appealed the rejection, rather than guiding me on how to use it properly and effectively the simple answer was that accoun disabled during the review process, even suggested I to open another account with a new email ID.
Tip for consumers:
Try to use other platforms like Linkedin or Careerbuilder at least they are fair in their treatment.

I had a problem with my account being disabled after I first created it. I tried to contact support through the website, but heard nothing, so I decided to try Facebook. I got a reply within 15 minutes and they were very helpful and explained what the problem was. They had to escalate the issue, but surprisingly withing a couple hours everything was fixed and back up. Bit of a slow start but ended up winning the race.

Hi Alex, thanks for reaching out to us and sorry for the negative experience. Your account was disabled on Indeed because we did not have enough information on your company to verify your account. We have requested some additional information directly through private message. Please respond to us via socialservice@indeed.com. Thank you.
I did not like having to provide private company information to get the account out of disabled status. If you have to have that you should have asked for it upfront so we could have made the decision to post of not before we put our credit card info in.
Hi Charles, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry that the verification process was frustrating. If there is anything we can do to improve your experience with Indeed, please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com
