I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
Indeed first disabled my account because they did not believe my business was real. I submitted the documents and they reinstated it. Now after 40+ resumes they have disabled if again and provided no reason what so ever. When we contacted indeed customer service they stated that the final decision was made by quality control and their is no number to contact them and I need to appeal which could take another week. This has created a lot of undue stress this website is supposed to alleviate. Now it makes our business look week while we are offering full time jobs with RRSP and benefits in a community that lacks jobs and many struggle with staying above the poverty line. What a disappointment. I would 100% advise everyone to avoid them.

Unlike most other commercial job boards, this site is redundant, basically worthless. Upon 'uploading' a resume, it allows to 'Review' your upload, but then opens a detailed page that requires a repeat of all your information, with added fields to include your skills, technical expertise, etc. Basically what you already have listed on your resume. Just ridiculous. And though I never signed up or requested any job blasts, I receive loads of them in my email. Most of which are irrelevant. Absolute garbage. There are far better job boards like Monster, Careerbuilder, and of course, the jackpot: LinkedIn.
Hi Leanette, sorry for the negative experience with uploading your resume. If you'd like to cancel your job alerts, you can log into your account and visit http://www.indeed.com/my/alerts to remove them.
. Employers were contacting me asking if I were interested in working for them! That's right folks, they came too me. Just posted the resume Indeed helped me create... for free. Talk about service. They get you out there. Sure beats looking on Craigslist. Never know what kind of smuck you would encounter. I feel a safer place. The employers and jobs offered on post all seem legit to me, no matter, what kind of job you seek. I've seen any where from the F. B. I to cleaning rooms, mechanics, doctors and dj's. Thumbs up.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us some feedback, Marie! We're so glad you've been finding success on our site! If you ever need additional assistance, feel free to reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com.
Like many other reviewers, our account was disabled without any conversation or reasoning as to why. We have been using our account for over 3 years without issues - and this is the treatment we receive. We have reached out to our Dedicated Specialist, Client Success and Director of Inside Sales both of whom can do nothing to help us. We filed an appeal 5 business days ago, but have not heard anything back. This is the most ridiculous process I have ever experienced and has basically kneecapped our organization from helping our clients. I can't believe that Indeed has the ability to do this and worse, they still have our credit card on file. If anyone at Indeed is reviewing this - here's a hint - maybe call your paying clients first to discuss the issue with them prior to just disabling their account. This is a shameful way to run a business.
Hi Shannon, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. We do see that our internal team sent an email on 6/1 with the next steps for your account. We advise checking your inbox or spam folder for this email and following up directly with them.
It was OK... I had a lot of interest and fell off after a couple weeks. I expected more interest for longer being I sponsored the add. I didn't like that I had to pay for people who applied that were not qualified, even tho I had requirements noted.
I had an ad prior to this about a year ago and did not sponsor. I had almost as much interest then, So by sponsoring the ads in my opinion was not worth the 300.00 I spent
Hi Casey, thank you for sharing your feedback. We'd be happy to help you with candidate quality and increasing your applicants. Feel free to reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com.
I received the following message at my subscription "This account is currently under review, per Indeed's messaging quality guidelines. The recruiter must submit an appeal before they can contact candidates using this subscription." Indeed does not offer a warning to correct any violations that may be being made to the guidelines or procedures. Neither email nor promted is received to the log-in to inform in detail of the suspension or process. Employer Help Center has no data related to procedures in this situation. Customer Success Specialists are not trained to provide details or procedures.
Hi Karelyn, to explain, besides all jobs and accounts on Indeed being moderated to ensure our guidelines are being followed, it is the same for the usage of our resume database. All messages on Indeed are moderated and if there is a violation, the employer will be blocked. Here is more information about our resume guidelines: https://indeed.force.com/employerSupport1/s/article/360015376251?language=en_US. When an employer is blocked, they will need to submit an appeal which is available on the page that notifies them they are blocked. Once submitted, our moderation team will assist. In this case, we can see that your account representatives are already in contact with you to assist with this issue and they will continue to provide help. We have also passed along your outreach here on Sitejabber. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
Mixed review - first time I've used, but not intuitive from an employer side. Have to navigate several clicks to see activity, app doesn't show employer side at all, boosting posts hasn't created a lot of traction, and the "snippets" that are selected to preview on ads aren't selectable. Got one qualified applicant, so not a waste - but not the results I was hoping for. Had equal/better luck at a fraction of the cost with FB post.
I have been working on hiring candidates from indeed since 2020 and it is the only main source of my income, as i hire candidates on behalf of my company and provide them from which i get benefit but indeed disabled my account without any reason i have been using it since 2020 and they rejected my appeal also i dont know what's wrong so disappointing and stressed
Hi Areeba, all accounts and jobs are subject to our standard reviewing process. The account has gone through our reviewing process and our team has concluded that we will not show these openings in our search results. The account will remain in its current disabled status. As the account has been disabled by Indeed you do not have the option to post a new position and any new account will undergo the same review process. If you have urgent hiring needs, we highly suggest utilizing other hiring services. Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed.
As a small business owner, i recently post positions on indeed, and today they blocked me. "Your account has been disabled".
We have posted few jobs and recieved many CVs and you have deleted our account which is not fair. Don't have any customer care contact number
Hello Surinder, thank you for reaching out here. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message. Please follow up there if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Contacted people as I am looking to hire an editor asap, then the next day my account was suspended with no reason. I contacted them, and their exact response was:
"We have reviewed your account but are unable to lift the suspension. You are not able to contact job seekers through Indeed.
Further appeals or related communications for this suspension will not be considered or responded to."
Unbelievable. This shouldn't even be a company. What a farce. They are preventing people on their from being employed.
Hi Nicole, we're very sorry for this experience that you've had with Indeed. We've messaged you directly to discuss your experience further. Thank you.
Posted a job. Wanted to give Indeed a try. My post got budgeted for $15. It turned into $15 A DAY! My CC was billed for $500 per month for 3 months until my AP people flagged it. Zero Qualified Candidates. Most had no business "applying" for the technical job.
I spoke with their "Help Desk" and was offered $100 in free clicks. Insulting considering they bilked me for $2,000
Watch out!
Hi Chris,
Thank you for reaching out to us, and sorry for your experience with Indeed. We've looked into your account, and see that you posted two positions, one with a 15 dollar daily budget, and one with a 20 dollar daily budget. Indeed does not have any budgeting options that offer an amount of $15 or $20 overall, and our job posting process specifically states daily vs monthly when the position is being created. It also looks as though one of the positions was closed in the middle of last month, and a monthly advertising report was sent to you on May 5th, and April 12th reflecting the daily budget jobs within your account. We would be happy to work with you to offer an amount towards future free clicks that is more reasonable for your future hiring needs, and also offer you suggestions towards getting better qualified candidates. If this is something you are interested in, please message us directly through the SiteJabber platform. Thank you.
I am a new business start up that relys on websites like indeed to attracted candidates for my business. I have spent 2 weeks trying to set up an account and post a job online with little success. My first attempt eventually was ignored after being asked to send numerous documents to verify my account. After hearing nothing we attempted to set up a new account using a different email address for the company. We had some success as we were able to post a few jobs online for around 24 hours, before being told our account has been disabled again with the only vague feedback being. 1 or more adverts has been deemed as not consistent with indeed quality standards. My appeal will be looked at within 48 hours, until then I have to wait patiently. Poor communication, very frustrating to deal with!

Where do I even begin? Indeed is notorious for allowing scammers to post fake job postings and not to mention the whole bait & switch used to manipulate job seekers. I ran into at least 7 scammers in the last 5 months and there were multiple positions that appeared to be open, when in reality they were not. Also, I can't tell you how many times salaries were either hidden from me or completely misleading. Very disapointing experience and not helpful at all.

My post was absolutely valid with all information needed for any potential job seekers.
They use some sort of dumb computer filter to filter out job posts.
I guest that free job posting should be filtered out, so they can make money for sponsored job. Since nothing is free, i can understand that. But my review is to just address the real things with indeed
Hi Thang, we have responded to your review via private message. Thank you.
This site isn't half bad for the rates they charge, and how you can get job inquiries. I used this to post a job, and got many hits. You can set limits automatically to how much you spend for each posting hit. It works well, and seems a lot more reasonable than something like monster.com. I like the direction of where this website is going.
I posted an ad yesterday and because I didn't receive a single resume, I called INDEED this morning. Was told they "suspended" (or something like that) my listing until they could verify some information. So, I provided the requested info about our company and was told they'd probably have our account/listing up in 3 days. What? Why so long? I asked the rep what would've happened if I hadn't called and asked the question. She said, nothing. I would've just wondered why no responses... very strange way to handle new business this way. There's got to be a follow-up by the company to get the info they need from me, not the other way around. So, I''ll write another review once our account is up and running to see what kind of responses we get.
Hello Valarie, we're very sorry for the delay in the review process. We escalated this to our search quality team, and your account has been verified. Your job should be live within the next hour. It can sometimes take up to 72 hours for accounts to be reviewed, as we get many employer requests each day. This is the maximum amount of time and many of these requests are completed ahead of that time frame. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.
Total rip, spent several hundred dollars on 2 jobs. Not a single applicant had any experience in either job (or even any similar job) despite my posting that experience was required. For some reason, I don't think that Truck driver, customer service rep, assistant pastor, or janitor qualifies someone to operate a waterjet or be a screen printer
Hello Joel, we're sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience using Indeed to hire for your positions so far. As Indeed is a search engine, the more information that you enter in your job title and description, the more likely your job will appear in searches for relevant candidates. We'd be more than happy to work with you on your job title and description and offer a credit towards future sponsored job clicks. If you are interested, please Private Message us via SiteJabber so that we can assist you further.
This site took all my information including photos of my driver's license and credit card number and still refused to share my job positing, disabling my account and claiming I didn't meet their standards. I am a small business owner/author trying to hire a part-time assistant for above minimum wage. No explanation why they wouldn't host my job posting. When I asked them to delete my information considering they served no purpose, they directed me multiple times to a blank page - but kept all my info. Do not use this service if you are an employer!

I am a small takeaway business looking to recruit staff, all of a sudden i got a message to say we have disabled your account and that you need to provide proof, so i emailed a copy of my utility bill but it seems indeed is not accepting it for some reason. I require staff urgently and here is Indeed disabling accounts for some reason. There is no other way of contact other than email.

Hi Shazia! Thanks for reaching out to share this experience. We have followed up with you via PM.
We tried both sponsored and free. Did not get an increase in applicants, nor was the skill set better with sponsored ad. Also although we could control costs w/sponsored option we ended up spending more and getting fewer applicants than on Craigslist. Love the free option on Indeed and am appreciative of it.
Hi there, we're sorry you had a poor experience with sponsoring on Indeed. If there is anything we can do to help, please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com.
I would give zero stars but can't. I spent all day properly filling out my first job post. It went live for 2 hours and then got the "your ability to post job has been disabled" message.
What's the point of allowing me to advertise for 2 hours only to disable the account?
Hi Victor, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. We can see that your account is going through our standard review process and we need additional information on the business you're hiring for. We have sent you a private message with the next steps. Please feel free to follow up with us there.
They are too sensitive to stufffffffff... pft
Locked me out for legitimate jobs I needed to post. It has been going on for a year.
Apparently they have no idea what my intentions where, they should hire more psychics or something.
Hi Nate, we have responded to your review via private message. Thank you.
As a job seeker I used Indeed for a few years. Recently I became an employer in need of staff. Because I already had an Indeed account I decided to post it through there. Almost immediately I was instructed to call in to verify my account. I called in and verified all of the information with the phone rep, twice. I was told that everything was okay and I would get an email when my post was published. The email I got was my account was blocked! Not only blocked but they want very specific information on the business, which I'm not comfortable doing since NO other provider asks for such documents to post a job. Called back and was told there is nothing they can do. Save your time and post your jobs on a site that will help you meet your staffing needs

Hi Brandon, to explain, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. To proceed with the review process, we recommend submitting the appeal through your account. It is important to note that this appeal will not guarantee visibility on the site. Please note that the review process typically takes 1 to 3 business days and our team will contact you when they have an update, or if they need additional information.
After leaving a review here, we were contacted by Indeed and after a few emails back and forth they were able to send our case to review and the block was lifted. I still have no idea why it happened in the first place but we are very grateful to be able to contact possible hires again. Thanks!
Hi Beth, we are glad we were able to resolve this and that you have access to your account. Thank you for sharing this updated review!
Our office has been using Indeed for over 2 years and we are currently hiring for 4 different positions. In fact, I recently sent out about 15 different emails of interest in to people who had posted their resumes through Indeed and went back Friday to send more when I found out our account has been disabled from contacting individuals on Indeed? An email appeal since I have no idea why this happened ended up with the same reply that others have received- that they won't lift the suspension (?!?) and no further appeals will be considered or responded to.
I have worked on hiring at this office for the better part of a decade and never encountered anything like this? We hired our last Physician Assistant (we are a small primary care medical practice) thanks to Indeed but I guess we can't use them anymore as there is no real way to contact them except through email which we've already tried. I'm at a real loss, always like Indeed until now and as we are really in a hiring crunch and the complete lack of explanation or warning of this suspension has left us stunned. I've got 4 positions to fill and no time to waste so I guess it's time to try other services?
In conclusion, Indeed is great until it's not and you'll never know when that will be.
Absolutely the worst site ever. Indeed "One Search All Jobs". What a joke, They don't have "all jobs" What they have is a smelly pile of old crap. Why do jobseekers waste their time on this site? Volume not equal quality.
Tip for consumers:
Plesse don't use Indeed.com. You will be 100% wasting your time.
