This website is a great website to use for when you're in need of a job. They have businesses that are hiring on the website and give you a quick way to apply to them.
I received this email in my inbox (not my spam folder) from someone named Jason Whitman at employers-no *******@indeed.com:
"Subject line: please review your Indeed account contact information.
Dear Client:
Our team is here to help you hire and we want to be able to reach you by phone when necessary. A recent ruling by the FCC requires us to re-verify your phone information and re-confirm your consent to be called if the number you previously provided is a cell phone number. We will not be able to reach you at that number until you complete the following steps:
Please log in to your employer account.
Review the contact information you previously provided.
Review the statement of consent and if youre okay with being contacted by Indeed at the phone number listed on your account, select Yes when prompted to do so.
Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Jason WhitmanSVP of Client Services"
I have no idea who this is or why they contacted me, so I can only assume it's Spam and should've shown up in the spam folder.
Clicked on the unsubscribe button. Opted out of the email. Also left a note in the notes field never to contact me again, and that if they did, Federal authorities will be contacted.
Also reported the email as spam through my provider.
I do not now, nor have I ever had, any account with Indeed. I have never contacted this organization and have no idea how they got my email address. This email from them is unsolicited and I regard it as a scam.
I am very dissapointed in Indeed right now. I've been a customer for years and referred others to them. I was literally in the middle of sourcing and interviewing candidates and just got a generic email saying my account was disabled.
Not only that, I responded to the appeal and I received another generic automated email saying that it was denied and ther is nothing else I can do?!
Then, I email my Acct Rep and I get a bounce back email delivery!
I was hoping that this was a terrible mistake but after reading all of the reviews there seems to be something new happening that is significantly messing up their loyalty and branding.
To think... I just recommended 11 other HR pros to them last week.
I am hoping that I at least get access to those we were in contact with so they don't think we are flaky. Completely disappointed that they would cancel someone's account without proper appeal and speaking with the customer.
When I go a few months without using the service, I get multiple calls then. But no call now? No personalization? No customer service?
I've tried several job boards and this was the most expensive, and we spent the most money on it that got 3 unqualified applicants across 10 job postings.
Hi Jedakiah, we apologize for the poor experience while using Indeed. We have responded to your review by private message, please follow up there with any additional questions you may have.
I posted my resume online with indeed, the day I did, I started receiving phone calls from spammers from all around the US. I truly believe they are either selling your information to a third party.Or, spammers have access to your resume. Never once received a phone call from an employer. All the calls were a computer automated system. Who in the world falls for these spammers? If no one fell for them, they wouldn't be harassing people. I tried to delete my account and indeed has rigged there site to where it is impossible to actually delete your account, without contacting customer service via email. I honestly don't see how these companies keep doing this and not get sued. I have tried to use this site at different intervals and everytime I do, I get harassed by spammers. They always call when i'm in the middle of something. Personally, I believe we all need to get together and sue indeed for invasion of privacy. They say the employer cannot see your address or phone number when you post your resume on there site. I've contacted employers directly that were on indeed.com. They all said they did not have an ad on indeed. Com and they don't know why they have it posted on the site!
Hello John, sorry for your negative experience with Indeed. As you have already mentioned, Indeed does not share the contact information listed on your Indeed resume unless it is incorrectly placed under one of the public resume sections by the job seeker (example: if a phone number or email address is listed under the experience field). Indeed does not sell your contact information to any third party. You also have the ability to delete your resume on Indeed at any time.
Horrible. Beware once you have added your credit card to their files they will keep charging you after you have cancelled they continuously charge you. Not a good site at all.
Hi Sonia, we're sorry for the poor experience. We have responded to your review via private message to further assist. Please follow up with us there.
I didn't receive any qualified candidates that I would consider interviewing even after sponsoring the job, Senior Auditor. Very disappointed in the job applicants.
It was very easy to set up account and choose the amount you want to spend daily; and super easy to post jobs and close jobs. We will be posting any future jobs openings that we have on Indeed.com.
Thanks for your review and support Deborah!
This website is FRAUD and they SCAM you. You call to set up an ad for your office and they let you know all about there 'deals and credits' but they do not tell you to NOT be charged YOU have to close the account yourself. We were told we were getting a free week trial since we were a new user so that would be a $50 credit. We were not told that after this week the ad would keep running and we would be charged $10/day. This is highly disappointing. We called the discuss this with the company and of course they were beyond unhelpful and would not credit our company back anything. We will be sure to send out letter to all of our Virginia and DC referrals to NEVER use this site and to always just use the FREE and SAFE and non SCAM Craigslist.
The site works great, however I received to many applications that simply did not meet the minimum qualifications that I had established. It became difficult to quickly screen the resumes.
Answer: Hello Anita, positions posted for free stay on Indeed for a total of 120 days. Sponsored positions can stay on the site until an employer has filled the job and closed it on Indeed.

Answer: Hello Gerard, sorry for the negative experience. Indeed recently augmented existing search quality programs with new, ongoing strategies to make sure all jobs on Indeed meet standards for quality. This effort included a large scale review of job listings. Jobs that violated our guidelines and companies that did not meet our quality standards were disabled. We apologize that this was a frustrating process for you and will provide this feedback to our Search Quality team for future improvements.
Answer: By NO MEANS should you pursue this so-called job offer further and in fact, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau.
Answer: Hi Kristina, feel free to email our team at sitejabber@indeed.com with some additional details regarding your concerns and we'd be happy to take a look. Please be sure to reference this interaction in your email. Thank you.
Answer: Hi Irene, to explain, all accounts on Indeed go through a moderation process as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status. Based on your message, this is likely what you are currently experiencing. If you need assistance, feel free to email our team at sitejabber@indeed.com and we'd be happy to take a look.
