I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
I having been using Indeed for about 2 weeks now and have gotten 3 job interviews already. I love how easy it is to apply and simple. I am a teenager with no prior work experience and they help me make an outstanding resume and a personality test to help employers get to know me. It is amazing please sign up
Indeed is set up to strong favor large employers. As a small employer, I would put through the ringer as they turned me down for placing an ad for an employee. After their website demanded information that only a large employer would have, I thought the ad was final posted, but then found it was not. There never notified me that they were not posting it. So I had to call them several times and have them not believe that I am a real person with a real job to offer. Small employers are treated badly by the company policies.

Hi Peggy, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
I found 4+ jobs on indeed that don't have a job posting individual who answers potential employee's questions on this site, and includes a work-at-home scam that I am currently struggling to rectify. Despite this, the customer support assures me that it is all right and that they were able to "verify" (read disclaim job seekers concerns about) potential employers and listings. I would definitely avoid this site.
Tip for consumers:
Don't apply for any work from home job offers. Its just a baited hook to extortionists and con artists.
Hi Helen, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
I am the owner of the largest real estate photography company in central Texas. I needed to hire right away and they cancelled my account (twice) and would not tell me why. I give up. I'm not able to go back to Indeed because they completely closed my accounts, but I am not sure I would want to. I need reliability when trying to search for candidates and obviously I'm not able to get it with them.
(Which is unfortunate because I have made 3 good hires with them previously.)
Tip for consumers:
Don't bother.

Posting your resume or even applying for a job posted on Indeed is a waste of time. Have talked to 3 prospective employers and all three said they never received a resume but just a name from Indeed. My advice, look for work on Indeed but do not complete the process but rather submit your resume by other means either through another hiring agency or directly to the company. This is how I got my job and this is also how I learned of Indeed's incompetence.
The moderators on the forums are bias and will delete posts and ban users for no good reason. They're on a power trip and enjoy deleting posts and banning users. I have used Indeed for years and they were great, but in October 2012, Indeed became an independent operating unit of Recruit Co. Ltd. After that they went downhill and they SUCK….
They consolidate a bunch of search engines into one. They scan colleges, job boards, and I think craigslist, etc. You do get expired listings and it isn't totally complete, but it is free and does seem to get leads.
I like the website because it's easy to search for what you want and easy to apply. But my partner has been applying for jobs for almost 6 month with no luck. He was told he had the job by TWO companies that turned out to be SCAMS. Now they have all the information on his cv plus a scan of his drivers licence. On another note, almost NONE of these jobs ever respond.
Hello Nadia, sorry for the negative experience. If you can, please provide us with details of the two jobs your partner has applied to so that we can investigate at sitejabber@indeed.com. Thank you.
I was shocked to see why my job posting ability is been disabled. I created an account on Indeed as I have many open positions to close. They have or mentioned any reason for that which is more annoying.
Hi Mayur, we're sorry for the poor experience. We have responded to your review via private message. Please follow up with us there.
Today when i opened my indeed account I came to know that Indeed disabled my account for no reason and without giving me any prior heads up. I've been using indeed to find potential candidates for vacant posts in our organization. I never misused indeed in any way. But indeed still disabled my account. I have so many pending hirings lined up which i need to complete asap. I'm extremely disappointed from this site. The least you guys could do for me was just to inform me or give me a headsup.

I am a small business owner who had recently started using Indeed and provided all required information. I was effectively receiving applicants for my job postings and suddenly had my account disabled without any information. I have now lost all information on my applicants and job postings. I have appealed several times and Indeed immediately issues that I am still in violation. Could I please have someone from support help me get my account back?
Hi Mo, thanks for reaching out. To provide some clarity, all accounts and jobs are subject to our standard rolling reviewing process that can occur at any time. Our team has concluded that Indeed will be unable to show your openings in our search results. In addition, Indeed does not allow non-job postings. This includes, but is not limited to, volunteer jobs, training and education opportunities, franchising opportunities, multi-level marketing opportunities, jobseeker employment solicitation, expired jobs, and jobs which do not represent a specific employer vacancy. Indeed always retains the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If you have urgent hiring needs, we suggest utilizing other hiring services.
Like others here, we are a small company. I posted our job (a job that was verbatim posted to another site and accepted) and our account was suspended without explanation. Indeed did, of course, charge our credit card and they are preventing us from accessing information on those who did apply. We will be contesting that charge with our credit card company. Stay away from Indeed.com.
Tip for consumers:
I'd stay away if you are a small business. It seems they are not interested in small businesses.

My account has been disabled for no reason, i sent all the documents requested from me.The job posting went alive, but after a few hours I received an email that my account was disabled. I've read the terms and conditions and I did not see any violations on my posting.
The account was verified. So I don't really understand why the account suddenly got disabled without any specific reason.
I love it at first because it's user-friendly however we are really disappointed and frustrated right now because of this issue. And upon reading the reviews, it seems that it is a common issue. The account being disabled for no specific reason and there's no one to reach out to for a customer chat support.
Can someone reached out to me directly on my email to resolve this issue?
Hi Glaudine, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we are very sorry to hear you are having a poor experience here. A member of our team has sent you a private message to assist you.
UPDATE: After communicating directly with Glaudine, this issue has now been resolved and the account has been fully enabled.
Looking for overseas jobs (Europe). Going to the Indeed Overseas site it only lists US jobs and alerts US jobs. None are outside the US as I've requested. This site also sends irrelevant jobs via email. Just because I have technician after my name does not mean I do any and all tech work! Useless
We posted two jobs on the Indeed.com as the employer during the last week. One is full time job and another one is part time. Suddenly we had our account disabled without any explanation. They are both urgently needed.
This is becoming even more urgent, because almost one hundred applicants are waiting for our reply as I am writing this review. Without any official explanation from Indeed.com, we do not even know what is causing this to happen and how we can fix this. I wish we could find a phone number for contacting Indeed.com and providing whatever details they would like from us. Please response to us ASAP. Thanks.
Hi Simon, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a moderation process and may be temporarily disabled until additional documentation of the business is provided. We can see you're in contact with our review team via email now regarding this. We advise following the steps they have recently provided.
We are looking to hire some new potential employees, much like the rest of employers around the country, and without any explanation, our account was disabled and our job posting was taken down. I haven't heard anything back in regards to why, and after reading the other reviews of businesses, I see that we are not alone in this issue.
Hi Allison, all accounts and jobs go through our standard reviewing process before they can become fully active on our site. This review can happen to accounts that were previously active as well. We take the security of our job seekers very seriously, this review is designed to protect our job seekers and employers and ensure a high level of quality in our search results. That is what you encountered and at this time, we can confirm your account is active, we do apologize for any inconvenience.
I just started a new business and posted a job looking for employees only to be instantly blocked and given no reason why. My post followed all requirements and I can't believe as a new and small business they just instantly block.
UPDATE:
Indeed still has me jumping through hoops to get my account enabled again even after giving them the supporting documentation they requested. I've had no answer and they continue to give me unclear reasons as to why my account has been disabled and what I need to do to enable it. This is the most unprofessional and frustrating service for a new business looking to hire employees.
Hello Joe, thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with us. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message. Please follow up with us there so we can further assist.
I posted a job and sponsored it. I went to check in on it today and found out that my account has been disabled. Indeed did not contact me to let me know this. My job posting is no longer up, and as far as I know it hasn't been up for days. No reason or cause was given to me.
To add to this, I tried to contact Indeed thru the employer support center. The page that asks "What best describes you?", "what do you need help with?", and "briefly describe the issue" is not letting me press "continue." I have tried on multiple browsers. There is no help phone number available or email address I can contact directly. I am a paying customer who has zero access to customer support. My only hope is to post here.
I've used Indeed before successfully at my old company. I am in disbelief that this is how I am treated. This is absolutely unprofessional.
Hello Shira, we're very sorry to hear you've had a negative experience with Indeed. We have reached out to you directly through email to assist further. Thank you.
I have been given the run around by customer service for days now. They will not return phone calls and refuse to be of any assistance. They are only allowing our ads to run in their sponsored section but not in the general advertising area under our newest account. I only discovered this because of the poor results we are receiving. We have 3 other companies under different accounts that we have been running ads in the sponsored and general ad sections with great results. Since they refuse to help with this one account I am pulling all 4 accounts and refuse to ever do business with them again.
Hi Craig, we’re sorry to hear that your experience with Indeed has been negative. We submitted your account details to the Indeed Search Quality team and they determined that the type of opportunities you are offering, free cell-phone distributor positions, are not suitable for the free search results section on Indeed. To mediate this, we have applied $100 of free clicks to your account to offer you help with sponsoring your jobs on Indeed. If there is anything else we can do to help here, please reach out to us directly at sitejabber@indeed.com.
I have added two different reviews for two different companies and they did not post them. I suspect that since the reviews were not favorable, it might in some way cause loss of revenue for indeed. I have to guess that indeed.com would rather steer clear of the truth about a company than risk being sued. Don't believe the reviews on the site as they have been hand picked by indeed.com.
We have used Indeed for several years, with spending last year of £50k.
Our account has been suspended with no further job postings... Why? No detail, no assistance!
No-one to speak to. Just a decision!
We have looked through the 76 pages of terms and conditions... really!
Surely, speak to the business, highlight the issue. I cant imagine what the issue is.
Hi Theo, thanks for reaching out. To provide some clarity, all accounts and jobs on Indeed are subject to our standard rolling reviewing process that can occur at any time. Our team has concluded that Indeed will be unable to show your openings in our search results and the account will remain in its current disabled status. This is a company that charges huge sums for advertising. The same place that advertises your opening reviews your job from the disgruntled ex employee standpoint. The website is similar to a blog that any body can chat about. There are no credential that they follow.
We recently had a candidate schedule an interview that she immediately left after getting our email. Turns out she wanted to reach out to us via email to sell her products. No interest in the job just out email. There is no security. Sad part is there are no good competitors.
Hi Jim, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Indeed is a self-serve website where you're able to choose your own job budget. We work on a cost-per-click model and the higher the budget you choose the closer to page one you get. In regards to company page reviews, Indeed removes reviews that do not align with our guidelines. We have an entire team dedicated to the moderation process of this. Any reviews that are not removed, employers have the option to respond publicly as the company. You can review our company page review guidelines here http://www.indeed.com/cmp/_r/content-guidelines.
Indeed suspended my employer account and won't let me post any positions. I am a recruiter who helps other companies post and fill positions. I also spend a monthly fee for resume searches. They suspended my account with no warning and of course I can't reach anybody to either discuss this or try to remedy the situation. I am helping a company fill entry level positions and yet they do this with no notice. They are willing to take my monthly fee though. I am so dissatisfied with their customer service and their lack of actually working for small businesses.

I used Indeed well over 5 years ago to look for a job and found it to be very useful. I don't recall if I found a job through them or not but do remember that I did like the service and was able to navigate through their site with ease. I know that every site is not going to be liked be all so you just have to give it a try and see if they work for you or not.
Hi Eva, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We're so happy you are having a great experience on Indeed!
We have been using Indeed for more than 3~4 years so far without any issue (we are a paid customer and run a completely lawful business in the UK). Today Indeed suddenly disabled our account without any reason and they also rejected our appeal without any specific reason.
We have a lot of hiring in progress and a lot of interviews being scheduled, now all those communications with the candidates have been cut as our Indeed accounts are disabed. This is ridiculous!
Hi Tao, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard reviewing process. This review can happen at any time as well. Unfortunately, Indeed has fully reviewed your account and we are unable to show your listings on the site. Indeed or Publishers may reject or remove any Job Ad, and Indeed may disable any Employer’s account, for any or no reason without notice. Although Indeed may indicate why a job or account has been removed or disabled, we cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. If you have urgent hiring needs, we recommend utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
