Shopper did a good job most of the time. It was the charges that were being made to my credit card. I always asked for the Kroger receipt to be put on my grocery bags. Instacart was charging me $10,$15, and even $22 more than the actual bill at checkout. I had to call every time to get it adjusted. This last time they blamed it on Kroger setting different prices online than what you actually pay for in store. $10 this go around. Yeah, I don't think so! Ripping people off and blaming someone else
They delivery randomly no matter the time frame that you picked. So rude management as well. They let the fresh food on the sun,in the floor.it stayed there for an hour and half,83 degrees day, when I complaint about it they told me to throw it away, because they would refund me for the inconvenience. But then they decide to chance their mind! Unbelievable...sorry you guy will be break down very soon, horrible service, horrible everything!
As a senior with medical issues, I rely on delivery. I placed my first order yesterday; 2 hours later received a message saying "rescheduled for tomorrow." I called, explained the situation. "I need to eat today. Now I can't because you screwed up. And I can't get a refund for 5 days?" Their results "Sorry" Not good enough. I have Parkinson's, on disability and cannot drive. Limited income! Had I known you'd so utterly fail,I'd have ordered elsewhere!. It's the following day now. No money for 6-7 days because you have it. And NO FOOD. You took the money instantly, you can certainly return it instantly—if you chose to. So much for your "Senior Support" hoopla, huh?
It's like when you contact them for an issue they just run around in circles and never really help you to solve your issue. Like many others my receipt was accidentally left in my bag which (1 is unusual that we never get our receipts in the first place?) second of all i've contacted them about this numerous times but they always say "the retailer sets their price"? Okay and regardless I was still charged less on the receipt that the actual instacart receipt so i'm not sure why i can't get the money back? Some shady business going on. Firstly they need to start putting the receipts in the bag because i'm pretty sure this is how they get over on people. This app really needs some change
Me and my dad spent the rest of out cash on an instacart delivery from kingsoopers, The employee/driver dropped off my groceries at the WRONG house, me and my dad ended up starving because of their incompetence. Insta didn't want to do anything about it and blamed kroger (kingsoopers) Kroger gave me a refund but im still waiting on it to go through (that 3-7 days bs). Sitting here now eating cake mix cause thats all i bloody have... never again, lesson learned. Do not trust your cash with Instacart, if they dont deliver your stuff to the wrong house they'll substitute everything they can!
This is an absolutely awful company that doesn't care about anything except their own bottom line. They charged my bank account over $1500 in one night. I woke up to an overdrawn account. Lucky my bank had experience with them doing this to customers before. When they treat customers this way, I can only imagine how they treat their employees. I will get the money back, they promise, in 5-10 business days. Don't do this to yourself. Instacart is terrible. If you are high risk health-wise, don't rely on these ppl. There's no way to contact them once they take your money. Repugnant. I will remember exactly how this made me feel for a very, very, very long time.
I placed my first and last instacart order today. The shopper charged me for items that I did not order, nor did I receive. The fraudulent charges added up to under $20, but if each shopper does this several times a day, they can purchase their own groceries using customer's payment methods. Most people are probably trusting the service providers to be honest and probably don't even check their final receipt.
It appears that some shoppers are illiterate. I have had food delivered that I never ordered. It went straight from my porch to the trash. Not a good use of my money.
Now that Prop. 22 has passed, these people who get it wrong will be getting benefits and higher wages. That translates into consumers paying even more for bad service.
I am going to hire kids working their way through school (any kind) and pay them cash. Then my money will go for food and a trusted person -- not for overhead to a corporation. Instacart is no longer a valuable service for me.
Do not order from this company. My order was mostly frozen food items. Some of them had apparently thawed so much during what should have been a very short delivery that they look like science experiments now. So now I have $56 worth of trash and need to go to the store.
I am better off going to the store myself. Instacart promises fast delivery and once I place my order they send me an email noting that the time has been pushed back (not by minutes but by hours). The items you request are not always delivered and sometimes I get items I didn't request. I've read other reviews about the way they run their employees and they don't give them enough time to shop a $100 grocery trip which is why the delivery is so bad. I would pay extra for faster and better service from a delivery company. Maybe someone will get this idea and name it concierge service.
I have the yearly plan which was over $100 for a year. But recently, my usual items have been way over priced on the app. By 4 or 5 bucks in some cases! And sale items are no longer listed, either. Decided to go do my shopping in person and the difference in prices on the app vs. in store were simply outrageous. It's a scam. It's definitely not worth it and I'm canceling Instacart. They gouge their customers on usual items once you've made enough orders. Sick of companies like this.
I used Instacart 7-9 times one delivery went well. Non of the shoppers look at the directions you add to the order. I just think they are lazy and stupid. Ask for double bags, never receive them. Called the 1-888 number and the first person to answer called me a $#*!, how nice. I just asked her to show down so I could speck. Just cancelled my 2018 yearly service charge. The shopper that just left would not speck to me and put 67 items in 2 plastic bags and they ripped as he put them on my floor. He said nothing.Don't waist your money, I gave them more than 7 chances to see just good service.
Once again I had an issue, this time I never received my order at all and they swear it was delivered. Normally I get other peoples stuff and only some of mine. Sometimes when they substitute they charge me and don't include the item, not sure how that works. I also paid for a years membership and every time I place an order I have to go back to them to credit the delivery fee, $9.95 each. I'm sure some people don't notice which is free money to them. Their shoppers should be treating our orders as if they are our own and they just don't care. In the last, almost 6 months, I had one, yep, one order that was correct. Now when I reach out they are short and rude, as if it's my fault my order keeps getting messed up. I would avoid this company at all costs, there are other ways to get your groceries delivered without all the stress that comes with this company.
Said authorization $35.00 will drop off, has not 1 week later. Received wrong product they offered an $11 credit off next order, big deal not using them again. To top it off customer service stopped responding.
Horrible software that accepts to hack the application to accept high value orders on its own, thus making those who work honestly $#*! themselves with low value purchases, and nobody does anything to solve this problem!
I've used instacart twice and both times my order has been wrong. I'm not sure how this business even operates under such poor and helpless employees. After they offered me a 5 dollar coupon I explained how insulting it was that they thought 5 dollars would compensate me for having to spend my entire night waiting around for my driver to return with my correct order. Never use this service they should be out of business shortly anyway.
I was overcharged $30 by a shopper who didn't unerstand you had to be sure to charge for the correct weight of weighted items and instacart support said there was nothing they could do even after I provided proof. Then, on another order I was charged over $20 for bags - which I assume was some sort of glitch - when I received no bags at all. That's over $50 they've stolen from me with no help from their support team. Steer clear of these crooks.
Instacart placed items i did not order in my cart after the fact and charged me for them. It also charged me $68.70 more on an order than the total. In each instance, they said, OK, sorry, we'll give you back the money we stole - without doing anything else. Bring your business elsewhere if you expect an honest transaction!
Ordered on Friday. Given a delivery date Sunday 4-5. They messaged every hour that order would be delayed by one hour up until 10:30 when they said choose another delivery date. Thursday is the earliest. This is unacceptable as I am over 70 and out of food. Will have to take my chances by going to the grocery store.
Initially it was ok but twice in a row it cancelled my order and blocked my account saying we had to verify our card when my husband just verified the same day. I don't trust in now. If their own verification processes fail continuously (back to back) what else are they doing that failing. I would not even give it one star but this requires it.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
