Biggest scam, worst products. I canceled my account 4 times and month after month. I keep getting billed. I contacted them and they canceled it. I just looked at my last credit card. There is another charge. I have never ever seen such a rip off company. Look at the reviews!
The product qualities overall themselves are pretty good. However, the personalization options I had chosen were not very accurate matches. I cancelled after one box and I was unaware that I also had to cancel the refreshments option. If you have subscribed to that; when you cancel your account it will not cancel the refreshments. You will still get charged monthly, and you must cancel that separately. I feel like this is a hidden fee for them to still make money even after you don't subscribe to the boxes anymore.
I love getting ipsy for only $10 a month. It helps me decide if I want to go out and buy it. If you complain about waiting on a waiting list then unsubscribe and shut up... Get over your self I love ipsy and will keep getting this monthly thanks ipsy for great products.
I signed up to get a free glam bag. Was charged for it. As I was signing up The site closed so I figured it didn't go through. Never got a email confirmation. Got charged for the free bag and bags after that. Tried to cancel. You can only cancel with an email. I never got a confirmation email. Trying to cancel they said they do not recognize my email. 1 800 number is not in service. The bot asked me to send my credit card information. They make it impossible to cancel. I had to go to the bank and pay to get a stop payment. The products are low quality dollar store Items.
Every month my bags go to an old address even though i have given them my new address. They say they will email you in 24 hours and they dont. I have given them months to get it together but doesn't look like it. Its almost the end of jan, i just received Novs bag still waiting for dec and jan..
I was very excited to join Ipsy because a good friend recommended it. I upgraded to Glam Blag Plus and even purchased an added value product of Ciate mascara. However, when I went to use it this morning, it was dried out and unusable. The Shaina B eyeshadows were nothing but dust when applied. The cosmetic bag was so cheaply made that I've relegated it to a coin purse for my laundry trips. The Context nail polish is not even full size. Quite frankly, I'm not sure if I even want to use the facial masks. My gut tells me that the owners just buy cosmetics in bulk from China and attempt to package them nicely. I cancelled my membership today and I will make sure that they do not continue to charge me. Bottom line is that there are better kits out there; skip Ipsy.
I joined IPSY with a friend. We thought it would be fun. Trying new cosmetics & skin care. Why not?
Joined on April 2. Ordered the "glam bag" same day. The bag arrived 2 weeks later. I understand shipping delays due to covid. So. Fine. I then purchased a bunch of "add ons" on April 4. As of today...(April 20,2021) not delivered. Nor can I get any response from customer service. Status says shipped. No tracking or confirmation email. They were quick to take the payment from my account. Conveniently there are no refunds.
I think these beauty bags & boxes are a great idea. They are VERY poorly executed. No customer service & very delayed shipping are red flags.
Most likely coming from overseas. I had the same experience with BoxyCharm. I have cancelled my memeberships with these companies.
Ipsy sure does draft my account on time the 1st every month but here it is August 19th and I get an email this morning stating my Ipsy bag SHOULD arrive on August 25th... Really? 25 days after you take my money... seems like it's taking longer each month. I'm done with them and no more referrals either
Ipsy is a very good deal to me. Once they understood my likes and dislikes(which I needed to provide them to know what I really want) I am extremely pleased with it and my other statement was quite premature. I really enjoy it. Go for it ladies!
I was very disappointed in the samples I've received. I've never heard of any of the products. I tried them and felt like products I could get at a drug store. I'll give all my samples to my daughters for play makeup.
I cancelled this subscription over a year ago and continue to get charged. I've emailed several times where they continue to tell me they aren't charging me. I cancelled this when I moved out of my violent ex boyfriends house. I have no idea if they are sending anything at all not that I would want anything. TRASH COMPANY. I'm over my money being stolen!
Never give them you credit card info, they tried to stole money from me when I did not purchase their service. I've already given my infos when they told me i would be on a waiting list so I cancel everything, a few month later I see a charge on my credit card... when they refunded me they kept 17$...
I attempted to cancel my subscription after being placed on the wait list. Prior to entering your payment information, there is nothing about a wait list on any of their pages. Cancelling is easier said than done. There is no phone number for ipsy, nor can you just email them. You can only send them a form through their own contact page, which is sketchy. I received no reply from them to my cancellation request, and 2 weeks later they charged my card. I attempted contact again and received no reply after 3 days. So, I contacted the BBB and received a reply that day. They said they would refund me in "5-7" business days. It has been 8 and they have not refunded me, I have nothing pending at my bank from them, and they are again not answering me.
Ipsy was very helpful and has decent service. They are willing to help out if things go wrong and make sure that you are happy with them. The makeup is way worth it because you only pay $10 a month and get four times as much of the value for makeup. If you enjoy to try out new kinds of makeup and new brands it is a great website to use. The makeup works well and you get makeup that is close to your preferences. I would refer them to anyone who would like to try out something new and try new styles of makeup.
Ipsy is trash. First of all, they're a total ripoff. The things they send are generally not useful. Not to say that everything they send is useless, but 9/10 times they are. I'm just so frustrated. I ordered a June glam bag at the end of May. It is now July 12,3 weeks after shipment in June. I assumed my bag was lost, so I requested a refund just to be met with "Although we don't issue refunds, we always offer replacements for lost or damaged items (as long as it's within 45 days of the original shipment date)." Really? What an absolute joke. I do not want a replacement. I don't ever, ever, ever want to work with Ipsy again. I understand not offering refunds in most situations, but not even when the issue is on THEIR end? I would never ask for a refund if it wasn't completely on them. Don't support this company, you're better off ripping your $12.84 up. Go support a local beauty company and give an honest business some love.
They send out a pretty decent variety of products, though it doesn't always match your profile. What helps more than your profile are your reviews; if you always rate liquid lipsticks pretty high they will probably send them pretty often, for example.
The thing I like about ipsy is that it's a good way to try out different brands/products/formulas. There's a mix of drugstore brands like NYX, higher-end brands (though these are more often sample or deluxe sample size rather than full size) and indie brands like colourpop. I've gotten things I wouldn't have bought (or even heard of) otherwise that I ended up loving. And even if I get a dud item now and then it's only $10 per month with a product value a lot higher than that, plus cute makeup bags.
Ipsy seems like a great option to try multiple new products but beware the customer service is beyond appalling. It's not the 1st time that my order didn't arrive but this time they had the audacity to apologize then tell me I'd get a partial refund and a few worthless points. Seriously they are charging me for items never recieved and offering minimal reimbursement. I can't even believe this is legal. Modeler, the only way to communicate is through their email on their terms and I have never gotten resolution for the screw ups on their end. So sad.
Recently signed up and have been put on a waiting list, which is not that big of a deal. The problem I have is the fact that they tell you if you like them on social media they will curry favor to you and move you up the waitlist. How can you like something you've never received? Spoke with my uncle, who is an attorney, and he states that's illegal. Beware consumer!
I will tell all of you how to cancel. It worked for me. Threaten them with putting bad reviews all over social media and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. They canceled and refunded me my $10 pronto. It works!
I was gifted a glam bag for three months, and at first I really liked the bag. It came with just enough to try and was fun getting makeup in the mail. The second bag was late, and had almost identical items to what I received in my first bag. A blush, highlighter, eyeliner shadow and a few others. I was extremely disappointed by the third bag as it was an exact copy, aside from branding as the others. In all three bags, i received eyeliner, a dark brownish blush, a highlighter sample, a bronze colored shadow. It was super disappointing to get the same items three months in a row. Not to mention in the same shades. Also, I personally don't need so many makeup bags. I am glad it was inexpensive, but I would not purchase in future.

Answer: OK well it depends where you live because here in Canada it is $20ish dollars but if you live in the U.S. A then ya it's worth it. The products are really high quality and I havent had any bad products yet. But for me to live in Canada and pay almost $20 dollars, it's kind of pricey. So it really depends on you, where you live and your preferences. Hope this helped

Answer: Rosi, I have been a subscriber for several months. They send samples of many different brands but not Lime Crime. Here are some of the brands: City Color, trestique, NYX, Luxie brushes, Pacifica, star looks, Bella Pierre, Dermelect, be a bombshell, dls, hey honey, Marc Anthony, Eva nyc, MOR hand creme, Clarks botanicals, Avance, epice, belif creme, REN creme, and peek, and Trust Fund. During the ten months I have been a subscriber, I have only received a handful of high end makeup samples: the Balm, tarte, and smashbox. Some people love ipsy, but my experience has shown me that a lot of times they send me products that I don't like or ones that don't match my "beauty profile". So I will probably cancel soon. The products are not counterfeit, though. If I were you, I would not subscribe to ipsy. Hope that helps! -Heather
