I've been an iYogi customer ever since Dell refused to extend services on my desktop computer nearly 10 years ago. I never regretted that decision. Throughout the years, iYogi support is always available every time I had a problem, whether it was a computer virus, or a Windows upgrade, or a disk crash. Moreover, I don't think any tech support service in the U.S. can and will ever match iYogi's pricing. The 24/7 service at iYogi is provided by college trained computer science majors, and software engineers. They are truly professionals. I hope iYogi will remain as a customer-oriented independent company, and not get swallowed up by a big company only interested in squeezing more money out of their customers and their own staff. Good job, iYogi, and good luck!
Between my husband and myself we spent 10 hours in front on the computer in one day. BEWARE! Don't waste your time. We went 5 full days without internet access or removal of our viruses. 3 return phone calls with an appointment also to no avail. This is a rip off. Also be informed that is you have Shield Deluxe, change your antivirus software. This is the company that recommends iyogi.
I have been with IYogi for at least 5 years. Don't know what I would do without them. I have found their services to be of the utmost value to me. You see I am a senior citizen and am not as computer literate as I would like to be, and the technicians at IYogi understand my lack of up to the minute knowledege about the computer and computer terms, and they go out of their way to help someone like me. I highly recommend their services.
I had a problem with one of my laptops not being able to print. I was referred by Epson to the iyogi website. I was badgered to pay for a years subscription but managed to get by with a two-time tuneup. After the repair was made the problem still existed so I called again. The second time I was nagged again for a years subscription. I was able to get the problem solved but they charged me again for a second visit even though it was still the initial problem. My repair would have been less expensive through another website. Don't waste your money at iyogi.
I want to recommend the tech named Preeti, who helped my 72 year old father when he called to fix a problem that had cropped up when he was using my desktop. Accidently he deleted the picture folder where i had saved all my pictures. That was a lot of data aprox 10GB of pics which i was saving for past 10 years. She fixed the problem and recovered the folder. Me and my father are impressed. I already have a subscription and will recommend iyogi services to my friends as well.
75% of the time I am happy with iYogi work. The other 25% of the time a get a dumn tech that wont admit he cant solve the problem. I found the best thing to do is hang-up on the techie and call back. The hold time it take for help is about 10 minutes.
The worst customer service I have ever had. The customer service representatives are rude and arrogant, and the technicians are ignorant.
The TechGenie security doesn't work properly.
You cannot reach the technicians when you need assistance, they just put you on hold for an hour or two and then, disconnect.
Iyogi has always been readily available to assist me when I found myself in a crisis The service has been very beneficial because I could count on iyogi to resolve my problems without ever having to leave my home.
They tried to tell me that a very simple printer problem (wrong printer cartridge) was a problem with my computer and that I had security issues on my computer. Then I dialed the true Epson printer website... the one I thought I had dialed in the first place... and they told me I had the wrong printer cartridge.
My experiences have been mostly positive. It's just when my computer acts up for the least unexpected reasons, issues that really shouldn't be going on like some that seem to me to be the smallest of problems. Then it's time for me to call. They are mostly willing and able to help me out and they usually do. My issues though are really wonders to me when I keep on getting them back. Whatever the source is that causes my pc to get them I'm assured the technicians will try the best that they can to resolve the issues. They are adamant in doing so. They are a very reasonable priced organization and support guiders that I'm happy to turn to. Well that is my review on how the support has been there and helpful to me. Thank-you.
This guy who claimed to be Frank Walker said he was from Windows and wanted to give me a $199 refund for services that they had provided in the past. He proceeded to tell me that I would get the refund if I downloaded Team Viewer, which started to do. Then I became skeptical as I remembered this No Caller ID number calling over and over and over. When I told him that I did not want Team Viewer, he told me that he has access to my computer and will block it and that it could never be used again. At that point I was so angry I told him that I was going to call the people at windows and report him. Actually 0 stars, this company is rude and it is a telemarketing scam!
After spending 100 dollars; they did not give us any support even I called them many times and they put me on hold and finally they disconnected my call.
Finally, they called me for renewing the fees for an upcoming year and when I explained their performance of a whole year and then suddenly tech used bad word & told me; from which country I belong from? And he said; oey main janita hoon tujhey!
I was shocked (I discussed with my other friend who belongs from India and he said that; it is just like street thread).
I was surprised! I think this company running by trained marketing street peoples nor educated peoples.
My suggestion for all peoples; Please take care from them, they are calling from different numbers and harras you from different viruses and then they selling their products. (Same thing in Indian movie "Hello") Be careful. Don't rely on beautiful websites and don't waste your money with time.
After struggling with my new computer for a week, I called Yogi and they cleaned up my system and restored my normal functions. They QUICKLY answered my questions and acted as professionals at all times.
Do not hesitate to trust your computer to Yogi; they know their business.
I have called different times with "slow" problems with my computer and other minor questions and problems with my system. The folks I talk with at IYOGI are very understanding and willing to help and fix the problem in a timely manner.
I have been a customer of Iyogi for a number of years. They always tryed to sell something, however, they used to be VERY good at fixing problems. Something happened and they stopped being reliable. They called again today, but when I said I still had a contract with them, the call ended with a promise of a call back. I dont trust them anylonger.
Tip for consumers:
They used to be 5 stars across the board, they changed in August of 2016. I do NOT reccomend.
Recently, I bought a HP laptop and I had an issue regarding logging in to the system. So, when I searched in google for HP Support Center I got this website iYogi.cc in my search results thought this is HP Support Center and called them and explained the issue. They have asked me to pay 149$ for resolving the issue so that I would get free service for an year. I politely said to them I would need to think about this and told them I would get back to them. But they keep on asking me to opt for the service which I am not at all interested suddenly they started talking rudely when I said no.
I remember the girl name who spoke to me 'RAMA' the worst Service Support Center agent that I ever spoke in my lifetime.
I would rate -***** if at all those are available.
My experience with iYogi had bean ameaningful one for three reasons. First when I call them theyare always there to respond tome. Second the hel they provided to me is more than effective as they try not only to help me with my technical issues, but would also teach me how to use tis machine as a tool. Last but not the least they characteize themselves with their patience and professionalism. I would recomend anyone to do business with them.
I have been with iYogi for a number of years and find starting in 2015 that their Techs do not know what they are doing and each Tech has a different answer for you that requires you to buy more of their products in order for them them to do their work; They never complete the job and promise to have a supervisor call (they never do) to fix the problem. I could go on and on with the problems and lies I have had with them.
If I ever visit India I will definitely go out of my way to have a face to face with them.
BUY USA!
I yogi has been available to me 24/7 to help me through every conceivable problem I have had with my 3 computers over the last several years. I went through the nightmare of the new WIndows8 (which I consider the worse operating system I have ever used. IYogi reconfigured the OS and made it user friendly and showed me how to use it.
Tip for consumers:
After I posted my review I read reviews from other users which was a mix of positive and negative. One consistent complaint which resonated with me was the increasingly aggressive up-sale tactics their reps have started using over the last year or so. The aggressive sales tactics has become so bad that I bought a service contract for additional computers I own with Geek Squad instead of expanding my IYogi contract to these additional computers in order to compare the services before my contract
Manmohan Singh had a very pleasant tone, polite and courteous while he assisted me in getting Windows 8.1 Pro installed.
Now I'm waiting on my external drive to come in the mail.
After paying it always takes a supervisor to find out my payment to $149.99, they never call back if disconnected and their support twill leave your computer with more issues
Wait times for this service have gone through the roof! I've used them for ~1 1/2 years and was very satisfied. But they must be under new management now. Too bad...
I have been an iYogi customer for almost five years. I am extremely pleased with their service. I can count on them helping me 24/7. They are everything I need to keep my computer running and safe.
I have always had nothing but good things to say about IYOGI services you guys were so patient with me not knowing much about computers thank goodness Karma is what led me to you, Thanks again for all your help looking forward to another year.
The site is a fraud and a scam. I was directed to iYogi.com by CA Technologies because I thought that my new computer with Windows 7 was running a little slow. The self proclaimed "experts" at iyogi convinced me to let them log in remotely to analyze the problem. They very quickly found hundreds of "error files" and "error folders." Since those "error" files and folders were "obviously the problem," the experts deleted "all of the files and charged me $169.99 for their trouble under the assumption that I might need their "expertise" again. My computer immediately crashed and became inoperable. About the same time my computer became infected with hundreds of Trojan Horse viruses. Upon further investigation by a real expert, I discovered that all of those "error files and folders" are ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL for the operation of Microsoft 7. I had to do a complete System Restore to undo the damage.
Iyogi promised to refund my money. After over two weeks, I have yet to see a refund. I have contacted them 4 times now and get the same answer, "your refund has been processed, but I don't know what happened, you will get it in 72 hours.
Save your time and money
Fraudulent organisation. Be very Careful with Iyogi. Do not provide them with your VISA credit card number. I utilised Iyogi in May 2014 and paid with a my VISA card. In May 2015 they have charged by VISA Card again for the same amount - withour my authority. I have not spoken to Iyogi for 12 months, however they have charged by VISA with no authority. I have not asked for any additional help. BEWARE!
I have good results with iyogi the problem is when I have to talk to someone on the phone I cant understand what they are telling me communications is not good so that's why I use live help when using the phone the communications needs to be better so I can understand better but besides that everything is fine
