I've been an iYogi customer ever since Dell refused to extend services on my desktop computer nearly 10 years ago. I never regretted that decision. Throughout the years, iYogi support is always available every time I had a problem, whether it was a computer virus, or a Windows upgrade, or a disk crash. Moreover, I don't think any tech support service in the U.S. can and will ever match iYogi's pricing. The 24/7 service at iYogi is provided by college trained computer science majors, and software engineers. They are truly professionals. I hope iYogi will remain as a customer-oriented independent company, and not get swallowed up by a big company only interested in squeezing more money out of their customers and their own staff. Good job, iYogi, and good luck!
Between my husband and myself we spent 10 hours in front on the computer in one day. BEWARE! Don't waste your time. We went 5 full days without internet access or removal of our viruses. 3 return phone calls with an appointment also to no avail. This is a rip off. Also be informed that is you have Shield Deluxe, change your antivirus software. This is the company that recommends iyogi.
I have been using iYogi for the past Three yeans and have for the most part
That they fixed my problems. Their techs are very polite.
I recommend this company highly
Iyogi has been good with support for our pc's. I have bought many products from
Them and everything has been good. I recommend them highly. Thanks iyogi for all your help.
IYogi has performed very well in every issue that i have had in the past 5 years. They have address every problem that I have encountered and exceeded every expectation.
I was having a problem with software and Yogi was able to fix my problem. I also had other problems with my computer and Yogi was able to fix all of my problems.
Iyogi scammed me... I'm embarrassed I fell for it. Said they charged me, for a service I did not apply for. Said in order to uncharge me I had to fill out a form. Only accessed by them. I told them I would not allow them to share my computer and they agreed but then they did. Got all my info and then transferred $4790 into my checking, instead of $470. Tried to get me to buy gift cards to pay them back. Spent the whole day fixing my computer id's and bank accounts. These guys are from India, and I surmise get off on ripping people off cause they have small $#*!s. Peanut size. I'm not trying to be funny. These people are the scum of the earth. The lowest on the food chain. Stay far far away from them and don't be stupid like I was. They did not succeed as someone clued me in to the gift card scam. I only hope they read this, these infectious low life men with peanut size $#*!s. Please, stay away from iyogi. All there emails, there phone numbers all disappeared. Their final comment to me was they would wipe out all my bank accounts. I pray that karma follows them for what they put me through. I only gave them one star because apparently I have to pick one to review but they don't deserve even one. Shame shame shame on you.
BBB rates iYogi as A...

I am sure they are providing a terrific service...
Add another person critical of iYogi's services. Very angry at what they have done. To avoid any slander claims can only say I will never use them again and others should take note.
I mistakenly called them because I thought I was calling DELL they told me they work with DELL and I had to pay there service fee even though I had a service agreement from DELL. They said since this is a software issue that Dell would not support this repair. I paid the amount they fixed the issue of which I had the same problem 3 months latter. I IMed with DELL the second time and they told me it was an Hardware issue and they replaced it. Almost a year to the date I started getting phone calls about renewing I told them not interested and to remove me from there List almost 2 years latter I still get phone calls form me to renew. Don't bother with them
I am a REAL tech, was hired by iYogi over a tech dispatch site I use. I went to a customers house as an iYogi 'tech'. The system had ALL services turned off (first time I'd ever seen that) and an obvious attempt at removing some spyware. I cleaned the machine and started the normal msft services. All was good (still it took awhile for a 45 buck call). The customer was happy, but guess what_ THEY DON"T PAY THE AMERICAN TECHS - It has been 2 months and still don't have the measly 45 bucks they owe me. These people are scammers, they are NOT real techs, just a bunch of script kiddie hackers playing on expired warranty service.
UPDATED: After nearly 3 months they finally paid me. Good riddance.
''Techs were very good and they got my computer fixed.
They solved my problems but they also almost always, on evry occasion they tried to sell me a product or extent my contract.
Somehow I ended up calling this company in May, 2014 when my printer did not work wirelessly with a new router I installed. They did help me with the problem and I signed up for a 3 year service agreement that was $400. Since then it has been hell. They billed me for the service before they fixed my problem. I canceled the charge with Citibank and then re-instated the charge when the printer problem was fixed a few days later. Iyogi could not understand the basic concept of credits and debits and Citibank had to get involved to straighten them out. Then I foolishly asked them for help installing Windows 10. They charged me for back-up software that I never received despite their numerous open ticket numbers and empty promises of expedited shipments. This was in August. Then in November I asked them to refund the order amount and also refund the remaining amount on my service agreement. Even though they continue to quote the amounts of the checks I am due and expedite 'shipment' of the checks, I have received no money from them. They owe me over $400 dollars and my only option left is to try to recover the money through Citibank. I recommend that you never do business with this company.
On September 14,2015 I contacted iYogi regarding some computer problems I was having with my laptop. I was told that I needed to upgrade my operating system and that I needed Microsoft Office 10. I gave them my credit card, was charged $187.99 and told that I would received the Microsoft Office 10 program in the mail. By October 15,2015, I still had not received the Microsoft disk so I called iYogi. After being on hold for a very long time, I was told that the Microsoft program was temporarily out of stock but I should receive it in 7-10 business days. On 11/3/215, I still had not received the Microsoft program and requested a refund of my $187.00. I was told the money would be credited to my account in 7-10 business days. I called again on 11/17/15 and told I should have my refund by Friday of that week. I called again on December 10 and told I would received my refund in 4-5 business days. It is now 1/20/2016 and I still have not received my refund of $187. Do not call them for help and get scammed like I did.
I spoke to an IYogi support person as my files were Encrypted after they accessed my computer. They called me back and I asked if they had the key to Cryptolocker, he would not answer the question but wanted access to the computer.
I continually asked if they had the key as I didn't want him on my computer again. He would not answer the question and hung up.
WARNING
DO NOT LET THEM ACCESS THE COMPUTER AND DON'T USE IYOGI SUPPORT.
I purchased $800 worth of service from IYOGI 4 yrs ago. It was suppose to last 5 yrs. I quit using them 1 1/2 yrs ago because of poor service and them shutting down. Well they have called me almost every day and sometimes 2-3 times a day since, at all hours of the day/night. I've asked them nicely to quit calling, I've yelled at them rudely to stop calling, asked to be taken off their call list, I've talked to them in jibber jaber nonsense language, told them they have the wrong number, that I don't have a computer, let them talk to air, told them about Jesus and all liars go to the lake of fire, you name it. It has become a household thing when we see their number come up what our next approach will be and we have become pretty creative. Sometimes we just start telling them about lotions, dr appts and body ailments and give them no chance to speak. They will eventually hang up but they still WILL NOT quit calling back... Never, never, never have any dealings with these people. Once you do there is no end...
BEEN WITH IYOGI FOR YEARS! MY EXPERIENCE WITH IYOGI WAS EXCELLENT! OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIANS. I WOULD RECOMMEND IYOGI TO ANYONE WITH A COMPUTER! I CANNOT EXPRESS THE EXPERTISE OF IYOGI'S TECHNICIANS! I TRULY DO RECOMMEND IYOGI AS A EXPERT, PROFESSIONAL, ORGNIZATION!
I HAVE BEEN WITH IYOGI FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS FIX MY PROBLEM WITH MY COMPUTER. ONCE I HAD A POP UP THAT I COULDN'T GET RID OF BUT THEY GOT RID OF IT FOR ME. I HAD QUITE A FEW VIRUS THAT I ALSO COULDN'T GET RID OF BUT THEY MANAGE TO DO SO.
I think I that I yogi is the best service ever for your computer. The techs are very nice and friendly and have always solved my problems. I love I Yogi and
Think its is a grrrreat company.
I feel helpless to get justice done by iYogi. The sales people have pushed me for the last several years to purchase something almost each time I called. The last time I called they said if I buy the "bundle" I would need nothing else. Even though I had time left on tech support ( and the Optimizer to 2017) I I bought the "bundle" to go to June 24 2017. After getting a virus warning I called them on June 6 2016 and they said I had no virus protection, it had expired. Also, they said they have no "bundles". I had had quite enough by that point and asked for a refund. I can't reach customer service, three of their phone lines have been disconnected and the one that goes through just gives a recording to go to the website. I went to refunds on the website and put in my account number, my phone and email and got the message that "Provided customer's detail does not exist". Their motto is "good karma" but they are making very bad karma and they will not succeed. I will wait for the refund of the $149.99 and the prorated Optimizer and tech contract that still has a little time left. When I get a refund I will update this review.
I found the technicians to be very good. It was frustrating to try to understand them but I got through it with frustration but having the issue corrected.
Tip for consumers:
I am updating this review because with the help of the Better Business Bureau I did receive the refund of $149.99 and $40 that was left on a previous contract.
I am so grateful to the BBB that I got my money back, it would not have happened without that consumer help organization.
IYogi has helped me over the last few years, although they are often very difficult to get in touch with. They try to sell you every single minute they are on the phone with you. But 2 days ago, I went to them to delete a Rootkit virus. They said they deleted it and that I should buy their antivirus -- Tech Genie. They talked me into it -- 3 years for $139.99 and I would never ever have another virus. SO they uninstalled my antivirus before downloading their antivirus and then I get losing the connection with them. I was trying to stay in contact with them for 5 hours. During that time, a virus ripped my computer to bits. And whoever the hacker was encrypted my data and offered it back to me for ransom money -- $500 for the 1st day, $1000 for 2nd day. My computer guy (local) had to rebuilt to the best of his ability. I had all sorts of backups -- carbonite and a ghost drive, but some of the data could not be retrieved. I would say I lost about a year's worth of work with this fiasco. I cancelled my service and will not go back!

This morning at 9:20 a.m. I was speaking with Aviral Gupta of iyogi. Had to screenshot the chat. My computer was running slow, and I asked Avrial Gupta to speed it up. Here are verbatim excerpts:
Aviral Gupta: Now your computer is fully optimize (sic) and working fine.
Me: May I give it a quick ride before you disappear
Aviral Gupta: No.
Me: Could you explain why I am not allowed to try it out while you insure all systems are go?
Aviral Gupta: Yes.
Me: Super. Will you now do so?
Aviral Gupta: No.
Are you happy with my services?
Me: I dont know because I have not tried out my computer.
If it is working with optimum celerity, I am ecstatic.
If not, I am perturbed at your brusqueness.
Aviral Gupta: Okay as you wish.
Is there anything else?
Me: How do I save this chat?
Aviral Gupta It is not possible
Fortunately, they cannot disconnect unless you let them go, so I made him wait while I screen shot the conversation. Typically, the techs try to get a promise from you to give them high review ratings before they let you exit. With few exceptions, they press you to buy more things. I have admonished them in the past. I suspect Im blacklisted (my customer number). Theyll take my money, but are not always there. I once went a month without being able to contact them, and their 800 numbers constantly shift.
Oh, and my computers still slow. Thanks, Aviral Gupta.
Tip for consumers:
They're very good with new customers, when trying to get more money.
I had Ane for the fix. She's doing a great job. It was over my head and she is soon determined that I needed help and It's wonderful."
I've been a customer of iYogi for quite a while now and totally love the care I get in making my I-Mac work smoothly to my satisfaction. I paid a fee for a couple of years and call when my computer isn't acting the way I need it too respond. The techs for my Mac are very professional and yes they do come from India but they speak very good English and work with me step by step to clean up any issues I have going on. I first saw that iYogi has a 5 star rating with the Better Business Bureau which to me is very important... if there is a issue that the tech needs assistance with they get more help! There is no trauma and I contact them about every 4 weeks to ensure I'm up to date and smooth sailing. Like so many of my older friends that have tech toys that they can't make work... mine all run smooth and it's because of iYogi! They have great patience...(I need that) another thing is that we must stay with them as they work on our computer remotely... I trust them totally (from experience now) and it's proven to be true! I do my connections with iYogi at night before I go to bed so it's quiet and no interruptions for me. IYogi is a 24/7 operation and there are no lines to get help. And I don't have to take my computer, iPhone etc. anywhere. I'm home and it's wonderful. Yes, they remotely enter my computer and I have the ability to cut them off "if" I don't like what is going on... I've never come close to getting angry... if you are spending $$ and continue to struggle with computer problems, tablet problems, cell phone problems... iYogi is your answer. I get good prices for hardware, and software from them as well. I purchased a new backup thru iYogi and updates for my Microsoft Office thru iYogi at great pricing. It's like having my best friend available when I need help to be there for me... iYogi's techs have great patience and great skill in both I-Mac's and PC's...
I wrote a scathing review about Iyogi earlier today on the forum. Since then I have tried to contact them via the phone help number - but it just play a ridiculous tune over and over. So I tried the Chat support and for a start I thought I was going to have some success - wrong. I copied the messages that went between me and Iyogi support - make you own mind up - read on.
Michael to Rahul Kumar:
Hi
(18:31:36) Rahul Kumar said to you:
Please be online I am going to transfer this session to the Mac Department.
(18:31:48) This session has been transferred to the MAC LiveHelp Team queue.
(18:33:36) You said to Rahul Kumar:
I have run mactuneup to optimise my mac laptop. Unfortunately since then all the files are missing from my email folders. Is there anyway to get them back?
(18:33:58) Rahul Kumar has left this conversation.
Is there anyway I can tell where I am in the queue?
Well I have been waiting for a response from the MAC LiveHelp team for 30 minutes now... maybe they are not Live at all... it seems like they are Dead and not very Helpfull.
Well that's 60 minutes now that I have been in a queue or at least that's the last thing I was told. This is a pathetic service or lack of service. I will have to feed this into a feedback forum.
They wont stop calling me after I asked to be removed. Their service sucks. I would never trust them with my info or computer runnnnnnn
