“Wrong schematics”

Trying to find a wiring diagram for my 2021 Ford Ranger. Was sent nice colored schematics, which turned out to be incorrect. In all fairness, the Ford dealership didn't have the right schematics either. Nothing seem to match the vehicle. We identified the proper wire by using the pin that it was attached to rather than the color of the wires, which were not correct by either person.

I called Just Answer Because I had just had Eye surgery and could not reach my doctor period I thought I was being charged $5 for 1 answer. When I looked at my bank statement I was charged $46.00 membershipfee + $5.00. They immediately canceled my account when I called about it, but they would not refund the fee. This is the internet at its worst. There should not be hidden charges. When I called because of my medical question, I was 8 hours out of surgery, in pain and scared. I did not have the energy to try and read the fine print about membership. They should not have set up the membership like that, and they know that they can get away with it.
EDIT They gave me a refund after I sent an inflammatory email to them telling them what happened with me. So I take back most of my bad review. They still should make it more clear on the website about the monthly charges.

Yep, normally I don't fall for this, but I did. It stated, ask a question for $5, okay, at my wits end on what is wrong (and I am mechanically inclined), contacted this group.

The tech said, yep, need to bring it in to the shop (which at this point and after 2 hours of diagrams and research) was the same thing I was going to do. No, "it is most likely this...or could be this"

Okay, only out $5. NOPE! TODAY THERE IS $30 MORE OUT OF MY ACCOUNT for a membership (to make it worse, the first thing it states, free first service question is free, WHAT? Why is the $5 out of my account also?

To top it off, the website and app have you go in a loop to get your information off their site, the loop is sending you to their app, then back to their website which opens a text box like you want to talk with a technician again. You have to click pretty quick on payment area before this pops up again. Not a fan

I called to cancel my membership. The CS agent stated she couldn't help me and I asked to speak for to the supervisor. She lied and said that the supervisor told he was in a meeting. And she proceed to hang up, then I can back and the new CS lied and she was investigating my complaint. What could you be investigating, if your on the phone with me. AND then she HUNG UP, the phone...SAVE your money, go tho the LAW Library!

Tip for consumers:
There was one lawyer in California, that listened and gave knowledge information. Sadly, you can't get that person.

Rarewares was very patient with me. I could not get the pictures for her to evaluate my china uploaded to email or text to her functioning but with help from a tech expert she was able to help me and her information for me was provided quickly once she viewed the pictures.

I posted about an issue with my car, it is common issue given i provided all the information required for most mechanics to figure it out. 4 hours later not even contact, but then i realized since they had asked for all info as I posted more information they kept charging my card. When i asked to cancel or tried, i had to resurt to cursing to get them to Cancel. This is a ripoff!

Last part was the best, i was asked to speak to a Sales Rep to help me... with what? With not cancelling? Then i read thay you are charged $50 if you speak to someone on the phone to answer YOUR question. However, they are the ones who decide if you Problem is solved. This is a total Scam. Stay away! It is all hype. The answers provided are for folks who have no common sense or logic to research a little. I went to them because they state having EXPERTS on staff... just go burn your money instead if you want to use the website.

Something messed up on my computer making it inoperable. I knew what was wrong, I just couldn't fix it. After a day of anger and 2 bouts of crying, Carbonite suggested I call JustAnswer and I AM SO HAPPY I DID! I liked that it was recommended by a reputable business and satisfaction was guaranteed. Jess (my technician) was awesome. He had me back up and running within an hour, and he was able to do everything by remotely logging into my computer. WELL WORTH the cost (which wasn't bad). Under $100.

My vet gave me medication for my 20yo cats bladder tumor... OstiLox was 1 of the 2. That night when I read the insert on the box I was nervous to give to her since it said For Dogs Only! It was late and although I have my vets # I didn't want to bother him AGAIN. I was googling OstiLox when I saw a question about it on Just Answer. After reading that persons problem and the vets response I decided to contact Just Answer... the Vet was kind, informative and put my mind at rest. It has been approved in other countries for cats now and should be monitored n used according to animals weight. I would definately use this service again. Thx

Asked a medical question on a trip to Mexico and was told see a doctor. I could have figured that out without contacting JustAnswer. The initial agreement said that we would be charges 1.20 which apparently started a trial for a week and then recurring charges of $59.32/month. Sure likely that was spelled out when we asked the question, but we were more concerned with the medical issue to remember that we were now stuck in another membership hole. The first charge occurred before we even got home and I cancelled when I did get home, but no just a day too late, so another monthly charge. So what did we pay? $119.84 for a rather useless answer. Really how many people are going to need monthly advice to justify spending 60/month ($720/year). At least if I go to my doctor or consult a lawyer I can spend less than that and know who is giving me the advice. Not sure how many people need advice several times/year, but I am an lawyer and I'd be happy to give someone advice for much less than this costs. Granted you can ask advice for plumbing, electrical, etc., but honestly go online and you can get all the answers you need. Waste of money.

My cat got very sick on the 4th of July so my vet office was closed. I was able to save a long drive and a lot of money by talking to the cat vetranarian. I took my cat to the my vet the next morning because she stopped eating. The cat vet had advised to look out for that. Im so grateful I had a solution for the holiday and didnt spend hundreds of dollars for a simple solution and reasonably priced procedure! Thank you so much!

I signed up BECAUSE there was a free trial - i went online to cancel, and their website said I had a $29 mo/membership. So I went to Chat to clarify their error, but was told I did NOT sign up for trial and that they would NOT refund as were the terms of the free trial as advertised. In addition, she stated I have a $46/mo! Membership. An that I had "automatically" authorized the monthly service membership by "asking a question". This is nothing but a scam and false advertising. Here is the language from the website I responded to "Unlimited chats, plus discounts on pet daycare, dog walking & vet visits. Join for only $5. Cancel anytime." WHAT IS A CHAT IF NOT A QUESTION? This is a scam and I will be pursuing an investigation with my credit card company. DO NOT GET TRICKED INTO THIS!

To be clarify - my issue is NOT with the veterinarian who responded. He responded in a timely fashion and with good information. Just Answer said they would revoke his payment which is BS. If you're going to post a "free trial" offer then you should be prepared to pay the professionals you use during that period regardless of the membership status. Utter BS.

When we changed to DST I changed the time and saved it but every time I would get a phone call it would go an ahead of the time it was. Since we had went from 2AM to 3AM on 3/11/18, it would stay at the correct time until I would get a phone call and it would go an hour ahead of the time it was. I kept changing it and saving it but still didn't stay at the correct time. Tech support told me what to do and it worked immediately. Also, the answering machine would not work then and it would ring and ring and go to a busy signal so no one could leave a message. Tech support also told me what to do to correct the problem and it immediately worked. Technician was quick to answer and solve the problem.

When I explained my legal issue to Just Answer, the consultant gave me bad advice. Not only was their advice incorrect, it was incredibly distressing as they informed me I could lose my house. NON of it was accurate. It wasn't worth the $5 and certainly not worth a $60 membership that I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR, but they charged my account anyway. When I called customer service I was told they could do nothing about it, which is Bull. He also put me on hold to "see" if their was something to be done, which was also a lie. He never spoke with anyone or tried to do anything about it.

Told me there would be $1 charge and ended up charging me $46 for a membership. Dis NOT answer my question, in fact, after further researching on my own - I ended up telling the person assigned to me the correct answer.
Website said fee was fully refundable when I called Customer Service that gal essentially told me "Too bad" - she canceled the membership but wouldn't refund me the $46. CROOKS!

They are crooks who stole my money!
While it was only $5, they guaranteed that it would be refunded in 7 business days and it never was!
I used them once wasn't satisfied with the "canned" response I received that I received and immediately canceled my membership.
I was told that the $5 would be refunded and it wasn't, which makes them liars!
Would never recommend!

I was quite pleased with the time an the attention given to me for my questions. I ended up choosing to speak to a VET via phone call. I believe the price was $26. I felt she listened to my concerns and problems I am seeing with my Havanese dog. I believe she gave me good advice on which I will discuss with my VET on our next appointment. It was well worth the cost as my vet charges $85 per visit and I know have logical questions and possible solutions to go over my VET with and HOPEFULLY we will find the correct solution for my pups continuously under the chin scratching and head shaking.

I have no memory of ever working with this company, I must not have received the help I was wanting. I always go in and cancel anything like this the min. I get done using it unless its will really work for me, having no memory of this company I know I cancelled. More then 6 months down the road I was going through my PayPal and noticed they had been withdrawing 49 dollars every month when I tried to take to them I kept getting told to sign up and a expert would help me clearly a computer then I was told by chat they would not refund the money they had been withdrawing from my account they just took me for a lot of money and can clearly see I did not use services, they would not even tell me what services I "used"

When I got on the site it said. $1 refundable. They then charged me$46. The technician said it would be best to talk on the phone. I said ok and they charged me $26. But then said that they couldn't talk to me. But never refunded the money they charged me to rank on the phone. When I asked why all I got was yhay they had left. So I didn't get a chat or a phone call and they didn't reimburse me since they didn't hold their end of the bargain up

I'm so glad I reached out to JustAnswer to assist with my desktop computer issue. The customer service representative stayed with me until the issue was resolved.

The only criticism I have is that when the conversation between the customer and JustAnswer deals with the customer needing her/his hands such as unplugging and plugging cords in and out of a computer and typing on the computer as well as manipulating a mouse, it would be easier for the customer to speak over the phone with the JustAnswer representative rather than typing back and forth on the website.

I, and I see I'm not unique, signed on to ask a one question for $2.00CAD. They billed me $105.00. It was unauthorized. They put me over my limit, so now I haved a od charge as well. These people are the lowest of the low., Even tho I've asked for a refund, Scam artists rarely comport themselves. Thgey are just a rip off. I had "one" question - so they just. Put me on a monthly membership? For $105.00 a month? Many, many expletives deleted.
