“Wrong schematics”

Trying to find a wiring diagram for my 2021 Ford Ranger. Was sent nice colored schematics, which turned out to be incorrect. In all fairness, the Ford dealership didn't have the right schematics either. Nothing seem to match the vehicle. We identified the proper wire by using the pin that it was attached to rather than the color of the wires, which were not correct by either person.

Expert advice available 24h/24,7d/7 - perhaps not on all subjects, but on most for which another person's knowledge is required. Especially helpful when crises occur out of "business" hours!

A truly disappointing experience with this site--essentially just a glorified Google search. I sought some time-sensitive legal advice, and while the rep. Who responded was quick and seemed knowledgeable, it felt like I was getting a lot of cut-and-paste information, most of which I had already discovered myself online. When I queried about something more 'advanced' the rep. Sent me an "offer" to have a live telephone chat for $300 (!).

Just Answer assured me up from that I would only be charged for the initial fee AFTER I accepted the advice as useful; however, they charged me immediately after I was connected to the legal rep. Their signup page is also incredibly misleading, in that it offers a "free trial," but then automatically selects a locked-in monthly rate of upwards of $50--which they have ALSO already charged to my card.

I searched reviews on this site, found a lot of disappointed users and it seems that while JustAnswer customer service is lacking if contacted directly through the site, they are quick to respond to negative marks on review sites. So I thought I'd expedite the process and post here... will be awaiting a full refund. Thanx!

We're sorry if there was any confusion over the deposit system on the site. A deposit in the full amount of your question value is required to unlock answers for viewing. Regarding the free trial, there are 3 monthly membership plans customers can choose from. While the Plus plan is pre-selected, customers still have to click on the orange "Start my free trial" button in order to be enrolled in the membership. Enrolling is not required or automatic. I WANTED SOME QUICK LEGAL ADVICE, SO GOOGLED AND UP CAME JUSTANSWER AND FOR A 'ONE OFF' £5 YOU GOT AN ANSWER MY QUESTION WAS ANSWERED VERY SATISFACTORILY SO PAID ANOTHER £32 TO THE SOLICITOR. I DISCOVERED A FEW DAYS LATER £40 HAD BEEN TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T CANCEL THE 14 DAY OPTION IT TURNS INTO A FULL MEMBERSHIP. I CONTACTED JUSTANSWERR AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE CANCELLED BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY ANOTHER £40 WAS TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION WHATSOEVER! I CANNOT GET MY MONEY BACK. THEY ARE A DECEITFUL THIEVING SCUMBAG OPERATION THAT TAKE DECENT PEOPLE'S MONEY WITHOUT ANY GUILT WHATSOEVER. DISGUSTING EXAMPLES OF SCUM HUMAN BEINGS

Wow I don't understand all these horrible reviews? Ive had s everal experiences on that site, always with cat vets, and have always been extremely satisfied (though some vets are better than others, I chose mine carefully beforehand based on previous answers to other posters and avoid anyone who gave "generic" type answers or simply sent links to informational websites). I took a subscription for 2 months and there was absolutely no problem when I contacted customer service to cancel.As a matter of fact I had several contacts with their customer service reps via email(because my husband and I had both signed on to ask the same question so ended up with 2 accts and 2 subscriptions... Customer service fixed it all immediately and we were not double charged. I have always found them helpful and pleasant? I really don't understand all these negative reviews and problems people have had, i guess they were just unlucky or maybe other services are not as good as the VET question section? I have kept in contact with two of the expert vets and still ask them for help for "off hour "problems or while waiting to get to see my vet.My own family vet has always confirmed the treatment options suggested by the just answer vets so to me that gives them a certain credibility.

This company CHARGED ME TWICE FOR ONE QUESTION. There is no way to contact them other their stupid online chat. They tried to charge me for asking for the accounts receivable department. Flakey & very suspect. I NEVER RECEIVED A PAYMENT RECEIPT FOR ANY OF THE CHARGES EITHER! STAY AWAY FROM THESE AHOLES.

Tip for consumers:
NO RECEIPTS FOR PAYMENT? NO WAY TO ACCESS ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE DEPARTMENT, THEY JUST WANT TO KEEP CHARGING YOU FOR A "QUESTION". SHODDY & SUSPECT. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

JustAnswer is a scam. I was using Google to try to figure out a problem with my car's ignition, and happened to find a link to JustAnswer where I supposedly paid a licensed mechanic $1 to answer my question. Little did I realize as I clicked away that the small print told me I was also signing up for a $34/month membership to keep this useless mechanic on retainer. Like, sure, anybody on earth actually wants to pay $34 a month to constantly ask questions about their car! Sane people everywhere do that!
I didn't realize for about 7 or 8 months that there was this mysterious $34 charge popping up on my credit card each month. Sure, that's partly on me for not paying close enough attention to my credit card statements. But still, life gets hectic sometimes, and we occasionally have other priorities besides carefully examining our monthly credit card statements to make sure predatory scammers like JustAnswer aren't screwing us over for $34 every month.
Then when I tried to cancel the membership, they sent me a response saying how they were sorry to see me go, and that they totally weren't a scam website at all. The next month, the $34 charge appeared on my credit card again. So overall, it looks like so far I've given about $270-300 to this useless scam company, all in return for one answered question (incorrectly, as it turns out). What a f***ing bargain!

Total ripoff. $60.00 per month for what?. Tried canceling the membership what a hassle. Customer support is out of the country so Good luck understanding their english. Super horrible experience.

Just a scam website where they charge 45$ for membership wven though you hadn't enrolled in it. Called up customer service and they just would not give the money back

Just answer company shows you the option of using their service for one-time fee of $1. Little do you know that you're actually agreeing to also a $34 one month membership. They state you can cancel anytime and go ahead and try us out for $1. This is misleading to the customer. Why offer this great $1 deal that shows the customer why wouldn't I take this opportunity, but also we are agreeing to an entire month membership for trying it additionally?

Why don't you just say it's $35 for one month instead of doing this misleading marketing? Because they want the money out of you no matter what.They obviously make a lot of money by first time users because no matter how much you utilize this service, your $1 also includes a one-month membership. I joined because of the $1 try me offer. Talk to someone about my car for about an hour which didn't lead me to any helpful advice. Canceled the subscription immediately, received a cancellation notice on my email, and then a couple days later received a welcome letter and a charge on my bank account. After two emails stating that this was unfair and they could choose to refund my money. They stated their backing up their claims of what was offered and no refund will be given. If you have a one-time question go somewhere else it'll cost you a lot more money than a free estimate from a mechanic. You can literally get better advice just by posting on social media your question or looking it up on the internet. The way they make their money is ridiculous.

Both of my turn signals went on Friday while driving in traffic only to turn back on later Friday night. Same thing on Saturday. I didn't want to deal with a mechanic for what seemed to be a minor issue.

Via Google I learned it MAY be my turn signal, hazard lights relay. So I crossed my fingers and bought one. However, I couldn't reach deep inside the passenger side dashboard to remove, replace it.

Thank heavens I found Just Answer. The mechanic told me what to do and within a short time, the new relay was in place and working. So far, the problem has been fixed, time will tell.

I'll certainly use this service again and will recommend it to others.

I would have given it 5 stars but the site does not clearly communicate some info to customers. Case in point, I must register to post my review. Hey, tell me this first not after I hit the "Submit your review" button.

And when I was prompted to pay the initial $5 to use their service, the PayPal page I was sent to DID NOT tell me they were going to pull the entire fee of $5 plus the $28 for the mechanic's time. The phone support team explained it was posted when making a credit card payment but that doesn't help PayPal users. Customers don't like surprises.

However, this is fixable and does not reflect on the service I received from the mechanic.

I had trouble with Bing.com and MSN popping up on me under Windows 10. I used various YouTube instructions to try, like playing with Regedit, doing several "0" values... still... I came into contact with several JustAnswer persons on the other end, very enthusiastic, eager to help, but... So, I decided to cancel my $1 trial phase. After that, I somehow got lucky? Since the Bing.com would kick in with the Screensaver. When I moved the mouse, and did away with the bubbles, there's a log-in box set in there, tho it didn't require a PW. I went into somewhere, and somehow by luck I "unchecked" a little box, eliminating that log-in box/screen (don't ask me how; can't back-track). Then, voila, I went to "pee"; coming back, I lifted the mouse, and the bubbles went away, but Bing.com, or MSN didn't kick in. That's been so since. Miracle, luck... as I consider myself a dumb genius... I solved a problem without knowing anything... Also, JustAnswer was very gracious, professional, nice sounding, and let me cancel. Very nice experience.

I had a question about their FEES. I got nothing but a ROBOTIC RESPONSE. I read their "TERMS AND CONDITIONS" the phrase "double charge" comes up more than once... please read their fine print... RED FLAGS!
Sidenote: Plentyoffish.com as well as MANY other web sites directs you to go to this "HELP" (JustAnswer) and pay them $30.00. Because they can't answer /respond to a simple question you submit on line-----Because they have no "Customer Service" worth a can of beans.

A few days ago, October 10th 2022 going over charges on my Citi credit card statement i came across a monthly charge of $34… who in his right mind will use a credit card with 29% interest to have a company charge him monthly? If and only if I ever called this company I would have never authorize monthly payment and become a member as they call it. The 1 star is because after I canceled the card, called them to ask for proof of my membership and the $544 they unlawfully charged me a very rude, Asian accent woman said "NO WE DON'T HAVE ANY PROOF" Citi Simplicity card and their dispute dpt is after them now.

I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT MY CONDITION AND FELT MY GP WAS VAGUE WHICH GAVE CAUSE FOR CONCERN. ONCE I HAD GIVEN MY SYMPTOMS AND COURSE OF ACTION I HAD TAKEN TO JUST ANSWER THE EXPERT DOCTOR GAVE CONCISE REASSURING ANSWERS AND VERY HELPFUL ADVICE WHICH EASED MY WORRY TOTALLY.

This company is engaged in false advertising, unethical billing practices and illegal activity.

They advertise that you can get answers from "an ENT doctor" for $5. Then they connect you to a random "doctor". They connected me to a neurologist, not an ENT. This is false advertising and Dr. Chinelo Okoye is complicit and participating in the scam.

She said "I will be happy to help". That was the answer that I paid $5 for. Then she said pay $50 dollars now and you can talk to me on the phone. And she ignored all subsequent messages.

Behind the scenes, they captured and stored my credit card information without notification or consent and covertly sign me up for a $46 dollar monthly subscription, hoping I would not notice.

This is illegal. Any subscriptions must be clearly labeled.

I have screenshots of the process.

This company deceives people and preys on people who are in distress and should be shut down.

Edit: in response to Meg below... she knows full well what she is doing. The comment below is a deceptive attempt to get people to think they care and are legitimate. This site is a scam and the only reason they are still around is due to them preying on vulnerable, desperate people. I have the screenshots and receipts.

If you are reading this, file a charge back with your credit card company. Then contact the DA in your state and file a formal complaint. Then submit a review with the BBB. And call out the doctors by name who work with Just Answers. They are complicit in a scam and should be publicly called out for their deception as well.
