“Wrong schematics”

Trying to find a wiring diagram for my 2021 Ford Ranger. Was sent nice colored schematics, which turned out to be incorrect. In all fairness, the Ford dealership didn't have the right schematics either. Nothing seem to match the vehicle. We identified the proper wire by using the pin that it was attached to rather than the color of the wires, which were not correct by either person.

I was very happy to receive fast, excellent, competent, and knowledgeable feedback from a very competent attorney at Just Answer when I questioned a phone call from a person using the name of a very reputable company... as well as the company director's name... asking me for money upfront in order for me to receive a sweepstakes winning. The attorney made it plain as day in his response that a winner never pays for a winning at any cost/ no matter the monetary amount. The telephone call was a big SCAM as I assumed it was. I felt that this attorney was talking to me face to face as I was reading his response. I could tell that he was someone very interested in protecting my interest and concerns. It is a good feeling that Just Answer is available whenever you need them... a God saving feeling. I have never gotten anything but competent and very valuable answers from the attorneys I have ever contacted through Just Answer. Thank you attorneys and staff at Just Answer! Please keep helping those of us in need of further knowledge of the law... in our quest to better understand the law... when we are presented with or confronted with questionable situations in our lives from time to time.

SERVICE WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I acquired a vintage Sherwood S-7100A AM/FM Receiver at an estate auction. When I tried to turn it on, nothing happened. I replaced the fuse, but still no power. I then started searching the internet for help and found a JustAnswer posting with the same problem. I realized the steps to fix it were beyond my ability, so I paid $5 for 7 days of help. My expert was Louie, and he had the patience of a saint! He was asking very basic questions that I could not answer. So, I chose to use their option to hire an expert ($26) so he could work with me directly and diagnose the problem for me. JustAnswer connected us on the phone and we went to work. He wanted to know if I had a multi-meter, which I did, but did not know how to use. He walked me step-by-step in getting the meter set up. First tested the power at the power cord prongs. The readings were too low, or not giving a steady reading. Then tested the power at the "SWITCHED 100 W" plug. He suggested I clean the power cord prongs which stabilized the readings. With that done, all the readings were then within norms. Plugged it into the power strip, but still did not work. (red face) - oops - no speakers attached and the speaker selector was set to OFF. Once speakers were attached and the speaker selector set to "A" there was music!

Tip for consumers:
A 1-week trial was only $5 - help via Chat Session. If you need the expert to work with you directly, via Phone, it only costs $26. No matter how little you know, they can work with you. I knew absolutely nothing about electronics. But my expert helped me to use a multi-meter to measure the power coming from the stereo, as well as the power cord. Who would have guessed on their own that the plug prongs needed to be cleaned?

Heres my BBB Complaint. EVERYONE SHOULD FILE ONE THESES PPL ARE CRIMINALS:

This company is a scam. Screw these people. I NEVER agreed to paying a monthly subscription. I was only aware I was paying for 1 question. JUST 1. I did this all through text messages. I never agreed to a monthly plan or I would have canceled it. This company should really be shut down.

I called for a resolution and was told by some foreign women who I couldn't understand that it was non refundable and that Ihad agreed to this. No I never did. Hope these people go to hell. It was thankfully only $138 since I caught it soon enough but others never notice until years go by sometimes.

I'll never get a refund. Im doing this so others know this is a scam not a real business.

Tip for consumers:
Everything is a lie. They they say just $1 or just $5 and at minimum its $69 plus sign you up recurring monthly without your knowledge or consent

Its so hard to find your way sometimes in certain areas but with Just Answer you can lessen the overwhelmed helpless feeling. Its not free but 5 dollars go r a week trail... SO WORTH IT!

Ask about downloading Disney+ to my smart TV, I was told that not all TV's are capable and to purchase either ROKU, Apple Device etc. to connect, I am glad that I ask it saved time trying to download a package that was not available.

My 10 year old Border Collie got into something she shouldnt and possibly ingested multiple items. I was pretty unsure exactly what and how much she ate. After calling our regular vet and being told there was no way she could be seen, due to late in the day and vet tied up with an emergency already, I was advised to call Animal Poison Control. After doing this, and now terrified at the possibility of how bad it could be, I somehow ended on this site-justanswer! I put in my info, paid the reasonable fee, asked my question, and was speedily connected to a veterinarian. I got DocPaul and he was AMAZING! He helped me so much, easing my concerns and instructing what to do with my dogs situation. He checked back frequently to see how she was doing, and he even checked the next day! I would recommend DocPaul anytime you may need the services of a vet, in the s manner! I hope to not be in such a scary and stressful corner again, but if I am, I will utilize justanswer and I will ask for DocPaul! 5 stars from me and 4 Paws from my fur baby!

They tell you that you can do a $1.00 refundable trial membership. And with no warning or other mention of money or limitations there's a $34.95 charge right below the $1.00 charge on you card. I called them to fix this. And was told because I used the service that they will not refund any of the charges. IM LIKE WHAT? I USED THE SERVICE? She said yes you posted a question. I KNOW I DID. I READ THAT THE $1.00 TRIAL WAS TO TRY YOUR SERVICE. NOT TO GIVE YOU MY CARD NUMBER SO YOU COULD CHARGE ME WHATEVER YOU WANT FOR THE TRIAL MEMBERSHIP THAT YOU TOLD ME COST $1.00.

THEY ARE BAD BUISNESS. I WOULD NOT TRUST THEM WITH A PIECE OF BUBBLE GUM.

Do not believe that they even have a trial membership. Bc they don't

I use JustAnswer a couple of times per month, mostly for automotive questions. Sometimes questions are a little harder to get an answer to by messaging back and forth but if you give REALLY GOOD DETAILED information it makes it easier to get the answer you need. I love this servise and will continue to use it. I have the unlimited subscription and think it is a great value.

I used JustAnswer for the first and only time at 3AM on 22 Sep 2023 (east Australian time) regarding a leg injury that was bleeding heavily. The Drs Basu and Ardeel on duty advised me to go to a hospital emergency department.

During the interaction, I gave my credit card details and was charged $2 on 23 Sep 2023, $66 on 26 Sep 2023 and $66 on 26 Oct 2023 plus international transfer fees.

This business is not the open information service that it proclaims to be as the business model appears to set out to gather Membership revenue from unwitting clients in an emergency situation, who go on to never use the advisory service again but keep paying the monthly subscription until they wake up to this racket.

In my case, the decent thing to do would be for JustAnswer to reimburse AU$132 but for others so deceived, there should be a reminder - perhaps an email - with every account draw down transaction.

I see that a response from JustAnswer refers to a reminder email being sent 3 days prior to a monthly fee being taken; this was not the case in my experience.

Clearly, JustAnswer has a stake in playing down the subscription payments and retaining inactive members for as long as possible.

If this model is not illegal, it should be. It is deceptive and if the service is so appreciated by the reviewers who write favourably, there would be no need for such veiled practices.

Tip for consumers:
The service may have merit but the money harvesting practice is disgraceful.

I used my phone for this service. Before clicking the link I read that I would get an answer within minutes. That was not the case. I needed a quick answer and didn't a response for several hours. I actually never got an answer, just a response with more questions. Had I known I would not have put in my credit card information because I also read, that I wouldn't be charged, but the $1 sign up during the trial period and the monthly fee would not be charged during the trial. I canceled within an hour because I didn't get a timely answer. I was charged the monthly fee anyway. This service is arguing that their terms are very clear and will not give me a refund and that no where do they say upon sign up you won't be charged. They only state that you can cancel without being charged for the next month. If it was that clear, then I guarantee I wouldn't have agreed to their terms.
I'm beyond careful when it comes to online scam companies... guess I'm not 100% at steering away from scam companies anymore. They are probably the worst online company I've dealt with. They've told me the account has been canceled and I won't be charged anymore. I'm not trusting of that.

Tip for consumers:
I would think twice before utilizing this service. I'd probably Google for the answer or call a local professional instead.

Complete waste of time. It's a chat service, so unless you have absolutely no friends or acquaintances to talk to, and are too stupid to perform an internet search, this service is of absolutely no value. Don't let them fool you, like they did me, into thinking they have a veterinarian on hand that will help you - they won't. I am in Wyoming and our regular vet closed his doors in the Covid mayhem and turned large animal records over to another vet, who's never around when we need him. I do not blame him, if I could make a big ranch call with hundreds of animals why bother to stop and see a horse with laminitis for some people with just three horses? We don't need a diagnosis, we already know what the problem is, we need medication for the horse, a prescription so we can order what we need to help him, and no we're not drug seekers, I sent a video of the horse. Gee, can't do anything without seeing the horse IN PERSON, (so why are you charging for this service when clearly you do not intend to do anything?) but "why not go the Chinese veterinary medicine route?" Gosh, I don't know, since we can't find a nearby large animal vet who's interested in coming to the horse what do you think the chances are of finding a Chinese horse acupuncturist? Yep, thanks for absolutely nothing but a total waste of my time and a charge on my credit card.

In spite of their advertising, they DO NOT offer telehealth/telemedicine, it’s just a chat service. There’s nothing they’re going to chat with you about (for a monthly fee) that you cannot figure out from doing a web search. If you’re very insecure, have no friends or acquaintances to chat with, cannot perform a web search and have money to spend (as in not on a tight budget - ‘money to burn’) then you may want to consider their service, otherwise save your money.

They take £40 with out asking my permission. Plus £5 at the beginning. Please don't put your credit card details with them. And when you ask for the refund they go round and round with answering you.

I contacted Dr A. Because of my cat. He advised to have my cat seen by a vet A. S.A. P. and also asked me to let him know what the vet said. He seemed genuinely concerned.

I visited this website and was asked for a $5 fee for asking a question. Then, low and behold I was charged another $35 for which I did not know was a monthly subscription. Thankfully, I noticed the next month charge on my credit card. I contacted the Just Answer website and requested a refund of my next month charge advising them that I had no idea that this was a subscription. I was informed that I had agreed to the monthly subscription and could not be refunded the subsequent monthly charge. Thankfully, I was able to cancel my subscription. This is a very tricky system wherein the charges happen so quickly once you enter your credit card information that you are unaware of the monthly subscription. This is very dishonest and unscrupulous. I advised the supposed "human" with whom I was chatting that it would be absurd for me to agree to a monthly subscription for initiating one inquiry. It's a shame, because it could be a good resource if they didn't aim to rip you off. So much for honesty...

My husband and I have tackled some minor appliance repair jobs in the past by looking up a "how to" video online. I couldn't find one for the specific problem our fridge was having & was starting to wonder if we were just going to have to bite the bullet & pay an expensive repair bill. I was thrilled to find the Just Ask site. I was very surprised & impressed that we had a technician call us right away. He assessed the problem immediately & explained that 3 things could cause the problem, but from our description of what issues were happening he told us it was most likely a faily simple solution. We bought the small part we needed for a little over $20 - swapped it out with the old one & the fridge is up and running again. The technician who helped us was very easy to understand and gave clear & concise directions. When I went to the parts store - they didn't know exactly what I needed. Luckily I had taken a photo of the part the technician told us we needed. He was available for me to send another photo of the replacement part to make sure I was getting the right part. What a fantastic resource! I will be recommending it to any of my family or friends who come with any similar need!
