I was looking for a refrigerator repairman and a popup stated free trial thru JustAnswer. The popup stated join for a $1.00 to talk to a repairman $1.00 and a $37.00 charge for their monthly membership, which was for a month after that trial period of one month. I did speak to a repair man but his advice did not work. I cancelled before my trial period was over. When I got my statement, I was charged the same time and day of 1.00 and 37.00. I actually read the policy before I check the subscription. It said UPON COMPLETION OF YOUR FREE TRIAL WILL BE CONVERT TO AUTO PAY. The companies reply to all bad reviews is that customers have a choice for membership plans for us to choose from, which I never received just a box to click start your trial offer. The popup was gone after I check the box no information, but order history said I joined with the double payment. There is 2,472 complaints just for 2022 for this company, the complaints go back as far as 2018 just as many or more each year. This is deceptive billing practices. This company keeps receiving compensation of scheming victims out of money. The company has a repetitious reply to all complaints presented as a form letter.

. 17. 4. 19 Don't know where to start because so many things are wrong about this service!
1. They take money out of your account BEFORE they provide a service - as in $40 for a phone call I ordered but then changed my mind and cancelled. The money was eventually refunded 2 working days later but it took 4 working days to appear in my bank statement.
3. I did not get a chance to give a review on the person who answered my question as I was embroiled in trying to sort out all these other issues, and when I went to give the review I found that a 5 star rating had been registered by the JustAnswer system. I was not able to change the rating.
4. I had to contact Customer Care to ask for my JustAnswer account to be DELETED but when you check online, it only says that the account has been DISABLED! This leads one to believe, that the account can still be ENABLED. It should be completely DELETED!
26. 4. 19 They sent me a message -after I posted the above comment on Trust Pilot - that they had now deleted all my account details with them.
That means you have to escalate a request - further, and in addition to your original request to cancel your account - to have your account DELETED. If you don't, then your account remains disabled with your bank account details still accessible.
They told me I had to reset my settings on my computer by deleting the cookies - why should I have to go through all of this?
So I did!
And then I had to contact my internet provider to get my passwords reset to access my WiFi!

The individual who helped us, and will continue to advise us, is superb. We give hm a TEN. Not only is he informed, but he, too, owns real estate, and is a lawyer.

Quick response and I was able to use the information provided. It did not solve my problem but it gave me information to provide to plumber who is coming to the house.

Received a reply from a lawyer regarding an offer received that a company will not honor. Have contacted the Attorney Generals office as directed and waiting on a reply.

This company will rip you off by automatically setting you up with a membership with a $53 per month charge. Be very cautious! Ensure you cancel the membership immediately!
