Zero stars to give them for treating me like a piece of scrap after being with them for 2.5 years and never experienced such a bad experience with any carrier in the US but experienced after coming to Canada! WHEN ASKED IF THERE ARE OFFERS THEY SAID NO AND ALSO WHEN ASKED IF THERE ARE ANY CHARGES FOR CANCELLATION, THEY SAID NO! After switching to ROGERS they came with Offers of credit of $300 and when I said NO, they sent the bill of 279.81 with Tab Bonus Debit - Cancellation and Tab Payoff - Lump Sum! INSANE SERVICE AND GREEDY MANAGEMENT - NO LOYALTY TO CUSTOMERS at all. NO TRANSPARENCY, BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES WITH THEM, AND DON'T BELIEVE THOSE TAB CREDITS!
So Koodo used to be fine but the last three or four years they've gone exponentially downhill. So I switched over to Telus which is their parent company and I was told that my bill would be transferred over to Telus on my first bill with Telus. It was not. They never sent me a final bill they canceled my account so I couldn't even log in to see if I had an outstanding balance and then without any warning they sent my last bill to collections which I didn't know anything about because they never sent me a request for payments and they have my email obviously and my phone number and my address all of which they could have used to contact me but they didn't. They just they just sent it right off to collections without any warning. This company is ridiculous and there is no way to get anyone on the phone to correct this.
If I could give them less that 1 star I would. Been a customer for 10 YEARS, paid my bills on time, hell in most cases I paid them EARLY. Had a problem and apparently the only way to fix it was to upgrade EVERYTHING which of course costs A LOT more money...look at me NOT shocked. I will never have anything to do with this company again, and I will tell everyone to AVOID "KOODO"
Koodo prevents the use of credit cards by inisting in competely the same client address. If your credit card uses an abbreviation slightly different than that used by koodo your credit cardd is denied. When you try to find out why you are refused use of the on line system which was written by an idiot trying hard to be just stupid. Koodo management are absolutely corrupt in the definititon of client service.
I trusted Koodo to provide me with Roaming Services in the USA. I was getting e-mail and texts and assumed the phone would work. A few days into our trip I tried using the phone. I had enough bars but could not call out and if I received a call it dropped when I hit "Answer". Since we had now phone coverage we needed to cut our vacation short because we could not arrange for accommodation, which was at a premium.
When we got back to Canada, a bunch of texts showed up that had not come thru in the US.
I called Koodo, explained what happened. The agent said she would call me in 2 days to see if Roaming was billed then I understood a credit would be applied. I got no call back and called yesterday. After talking to people who assured me they would help the first offer was a small credit. It was a painful experience and I'm totally dissatisfied with Koodo's services and their help desk. In the end they told me it was basically my fault I had no service in the US and they needed to be paid.

These guys are the worst mf ever they have done nothing but scam us ever since we have been hooked with them they have no Consideration for Customers And absolutely refused to help in any way They just keep taking your money and giving you $#*!ty services our services don't even work half the time and can never call to complain because kudo does not have a contact number which is ridiculous And when you call to complain every time something is wrong they insist on telling you nothing is wrong on their end when clearly it is coming from the End they need to be shut down for good government needs to shake their heads and realize what these asses are doing to people and how much money they are scanning from people
Terrible bad service! They treated me like trash! I was trapped with the promotion and signed up with this good deal and was advised by the agent if you do not want to use the SIM it's okay and nothing to worry about charges at all because you won't use the service, I Changed my mind and stick with my provider because I realized I will pay extra $7 which is not worth it! I was complacent that everything was okay until I received the letter from my mailbox, mentioning that I needed to pay $334!
I never use the service! And why on earth continue the billing for 4 ridiculous months without disconnecting it for the first month of not paying it! It doesn't make sense! I never inserted the SIM how come it will activate! How did you charge me for $334 without using your service I was supposed to get $50 monthly deal! (if i grab the deal but I wasn't) for 4 months you charge me $334! How come!? Can you do the math? They told me if I didn't pay the amount my credit score would be at stake and it's horrible! I can pay for the service which I used it! They could not even see my account because there was no activity or history of me using the service! I hope they will do something about this matter because it is terrible experience!
15 gig for 70 a month koodo and Telus is 40 gig a month for 80 wtf!? They are the same fcking company! I hate every fvking cell phone company in Canada and the monopolies that hold them! No deals, Canadians are morons!
I have been a customer for 10 years and they do not care about their customers. Do not go to with Koodo unless you want to pay hundreds if not thousands of unexpected charges
Answer: After 5 years of loyalty and many After 5 years of loyalty and many instances of deep frustration at there lack of honest customer service, this company has seriously let me down during covid19... 3 days and 3 "managers" later I am still unable to get a straightforward solution... in quarantine, need data... RIP off 100mbs for $10! I added data but because of text lag on their part ordered twice... charged $12 for 300mb... twice... price gouging company seriously use their customers in small dishonest ways to add big money to your bill... in the end the third manager promised me a new plan for my wife and I... 20gigs of data for $70... today I am cut off and my plan is unchanged (manager didnt complete it properly) and my wife is being charged $85... this isnt the first time they've made "errors" like this... they stall you, overcharge you and make it very difficult for you to reach an actual human rep... they should be charged for upping there fees in this crisis... they actually increased fees for extra data since it started... one of the worst Canadian companies I have ever dealt with... honestly feel they have no regard whatsoever for the humanity in their business... they are all about the money and it consistently shows and comes back on their customers... read the reviews... Do not use this company unless you like the experience of being sidetracked and rippedoff
