It is Sept. 21. I placed an online order with Lands End on Sept. 8. It has yet to be shipped. They cannot tell me when (if?) it will be shipped. Last time I buy from them. Too bad -- they used to have good-quality merchandise and customer service.
I paid 24.99 for express shipping to arrive 16-18th. Didn't come in time for my vacation. Customer service refused to help or admit fault. Would not refund charge. Rude customer service. Also just read there is a $7 charge to return and they only do store credit! Say what? That is such a bad look on them. I'm shocked. They are so behind every other store. I won't shop at Lands End ever again and neither should you, seriously save yourself!
This is how every online shopping experience should be! I love landsend, amazing concept! I often order 3 or 4 pairs of sneakers and try them on, decide which ones to keep and return the others. Even if I can find it a little cheaper on other sites because with shipping costs, landsend almost always ends up being the cheapest option.
Lands' End merchandise is a good value and I've shopped there for years. But something has blown up in their shipping operation in Fall/Winter 2020. While they warn customers that parcels may take as long as 15 days to arrive, the reality is that mine have taken over three weeks on a number of occasions. I've tracked the shipments online and they go all over the map irrationally, through and past my address for hundreds of miles, backtracking over it, and then reversing course yet again before finally arriving.
I'm writing this on Dec. 2nd. The odds of any order that I might place today arriving before Christmas are 50/50.
Take heed.
I've been shopping at Landsend for 20 years and was always pleased with quality. I never bought anything made of polyester or nylon.
Sizing is mostly consistent. Return is easy. Although you need to pay for it.
Lands End carries some of the best quality, everyday clothing we have found!
I am a mom of 2 and especially love the kids clothes that look like kids clothes but are not suggestive, obnoxious, or obscene (ever try to find a bigger girls' dress that doesn't show cleavage? Ever try to find a bigger boys' t-shirt with no swear words or alcohol advertisements?)
The customer service at Lands End is unparalled! They are fantastic, even the on-line chat help representative is a real person! My favorite type of jeans were discontinued and the on-line help rep told me the item # of the closest pair in regards to fit and length.
Returns at local Sears stores are an amazing way to save return shipping costs. Excellent sales, excellent quality, and different sales on-line than in stores!
I bought a pair of lined cord jeans for winter wear, upon arrival I discovered that the bottoms were only 15' wide which was not disclosed in the catalogue. As like many people I exercise regularly, I found them to be too tight on my legs and wrinkled like elephant trunks when worn, most unsightly and completely unacceptable. I had them shortened slightly in the hope of curing this problem without. Having them altered precludes me from returning them.
I have several trousers made by Landsend and made for normal people, but this will be my last order.
I've been on the phone and chatting with LandsEnd. It appears that when you return an item, they send you an email that contains the total $ of the refund. In that email they don't include any information about what item was returned or how they arrived at the refund amount or what the original order number was. There web site has the original order information - but there is no information as to what was returned, when and how much. They will send you return information only if you ask.
I've seen so many errors on sites, some sites like to keep your money instead of returning it. So it definitely pays to check. LandsEnd makes this very hard to do. Why don't they provide the details? Like so many other sites do?
I'm a very disappointed former customer
For years I shopped at Lands End because of the quality and sizing but recently that's changed. Not only has the quality decreased but the S size went from 4-6 to 6-8 and now is too big but the XS is too small for me. I'm done
Page goes blank, freezes constantly, popups cover half the page obscuring everything, search bar won't respond, chat won't respond. They need to fire their entire tech team, burn the site and start again. Meanwhile someone else who can write code gets the couple hundred I have to spend on coats. Idiots.
After years of ordering from Lands End, this will be the last. I realize we are experience shipping issues in the US, but this is nuts. Ordered on December 3rd, called today and still not put in a box to ship. Expected to arrive as late as Dec 21st. Best to avoid and go buy elsewhere. Called only to have condescending customer service.
Sue, was that telephone call operator who pretended to cordial but she was unhelpful, tactless, impatient... I have never experienced anyone able to transfer my call at lightning speed!? When customers faced problem with an online order, give them a chance to explain themselves rather than pawn them off to anther colleagues of yours. She brings bad name to the company she represents.
I used to be able to count on this company. Good quality, good customer service, good value. Now, I get multiple "deal" offers that change once you get into the site, More discount, but you pay shipping. Even when they say free shipping or free shipping over a certain dollar amount.
My most recent (and will be my last order from them) switch my offers a couple of times, so I had to call and the rep was not helpful. You know how the deals all have names, like Friends or Family? This one was "Comrade." What is this, the old Soviet Union! Anyway, it's been a week since my order and it still hasn't shipped. Two weeks, they said, to get my order. They are competing (or WERE competing) with LLBean and Eddie Bauer. After being purchased by Sears, which is now defunct, they are going down hill.
I'd suggest you buy what you want from them now, because they will be out of business soon.
I'm done. Ordered my seven-year-old an a size large and my five-year-old a size small winter jackets on October 30. I received an email that the shipping was delayed that it wouldnt arrive until November 16. Ok, no big deal. Then, only one jacket arrived the size small so I called them asking about the other jacket. They informed me that the large size was no longer available. So I decided to re-order another small in the style of jacket my oldest daughter wanted. Three days later, I received an email that the shipment was delayed and it wouldn't ship until December 11. At this point we've already had one month of very cold weather. I decided to wait, even though they offered no discount or apology over the phone, just a poor operator who's overseas somewhere.
Today I received an email that the jacket is no longer available. WTH is going on? Seriously it's messed up that I had to piece together warm clothes while being strung along. I'm done, I'll get another jacket someplace else
I ordered 4 pair of pants from Land's End. I returned them because they were too long, and indicated that I wanted to exchange them. Land's End charged my credit card $200+ before issuing a refund. So, at this time I am out $400+. I contacted LE and was told it takes 5 days to get my refund. I have done business with several other clothing companies who do a straight up exchange. I will tkae my business to Duluth Trading Company from now on. They don't charge you anything on an exchange, and the quality is much better. Should have ordered from them in the first place.
Two weeks ago, I ordered a couple of bedding items from Land's End, which I hoped to use at Thanksgiving. Two weeks later...no bedding, and no customer support. I have called, chatted and texted with Land's End, and no one knows where my parcel is, although my credit card has been billed for the full amount. I will never shop with Land's End again. Customer service is beyond awful.
Oof, paid $17.95 for express shipping. My item is expected to arrive in 8 days. Chatted with a customer service rep who said since I ordered on a Friday, they would give me a courtesy refund of the shipping cost. Okay.sorry to order on a Friday. He also didn't introduce himself or anything during the chat and was slow and unfriendly. Not great experiences at all.*editing to add my item is now expected another day later!
I'm so disappointed that a company where I spend hundreds of dollars a year on school uniforms, is unwilling to show grace while I'm suffering with Covid and not able to get online to fix an order fast enough. I definitely expected more from them!
I bought a rolling suitcase in December 2021 for over $200. I travel quite a bit for work, and the suitcase seemed sturdy. Last week, the expandable handle won't expand making the suitcase relatively unusable. I called and Lands End won't do anything or offer anything about it. The representative was great and tried to advocate for me - still nothing. I won't be buying anything again. I'm stunned they won't do anything to stand by their products.
Bought a puffer vest online and size was to big- returned to Sears and was charged for shipping and tax on shipping. A $24.43 purchase only returned me $15.93. When I called customer service they said that's the policy and that's it. Really good luck staying in business Lands End!
Answer: They charged me shipping on my order. (I no longer patronize them because they charge for shipping returns, even if the product is deficient.)
Answer: Beware of Lands End's current "free" shipping scam. We get emails almost daily from Lands End offering discounts on certain items or even any item they carry and the have also been offering "free" shipping. Of course almost every online shopping site is offering free shipping right now. The difference between all other sites/sellers free shipping is that they will either give it to UPS, FedEX, or the USPS and those people make the actual delivery to your door in a few days. I'm assuming it is an effort to save money Lands End "free" ships packages via UPS BUT only to your closest major postal facility and drops all the "free" shipments there. It is then up to the USPS to sort everything and deliver the package to your home. This can result in a delay of from several days to a week or more. Our latest purchase was dropped at the sorting facility on 12/5. From there it needed to be sorted and delivered to the mail facility that handles home mail deliveries. Bottom line is that we didn't get the delivery until 12/9. That is after leaving the Lands End warehouse on! 2/2. I get shipments from LL Bean or Amazon purchases delivered in 2-3 days. The response we got after questioning Lands End was that if we want deliveries in 2-3 days we would have to pay for shipping. Considering the delivery times I get from other sellers offering free shipping, I think Lands End is misleading customer's expectations of "free" shipping. Come on Lands End, I want that big brown truck to bring my packages to my front door and want it to be REALLY free or you have lost a long time customer.
Answer: I don;t know about knit pants but I have had the Starfish for a couple of years now and they don't become baggy--just a little but they bounce right back after washing. I was very happy with mine, went to get a new pair and ended up with a pair I cannot wear. Dismayed to find that returns are too complicated (expensive, too) so will be getting out the sewing machine to make them fit (they are huge in the thigh). I think the problem lies with having ordered Tall. The old pants are just Regular. Be careful about sizing!
Answer: Several years ago i ordered 5 bridesmaid dresses from LE. I had to send two back for a different size. The replacement dresses were a slightly different shade of the color. Then had to send all 5 dtesses back to get all same color. What a mess!
