Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

Hello. I received my frames yesterday. The lenses are what I ordered, and my perscription is correct. But the frames are not the ones I sent in.
Where are my original frames?
I love the work they did on my Bose Tenor Glasses. They did a GREAT job replacing the standard sunglasses lenses with my prescription lenses. I love everything about these glasses.
Glass showed up fine. It took over a month to get them. Lens Crafters can make glasses in an hour!? I am not sure why they're efficiency is so remedial.
Very comparably priced with other online companies. Quick turn around time, less than two weeks. I ordered lenses for my trifocals and they were correctly placed.
No real updates, it takes much longer than their posted guidelines, I would go with other options. Very disappointed in their customer service
It took forever, and the lenses you sent me see the wrong size. I am demanding a refund or an actual fix
The whole process was so quick and easy, they kept me informed about timelines and process throughout, and it's GREAT quality for great prices. What more could you want?!
Customer service was poor, communication almost non-existent. When I finally received my glasses... I can't see to work at the computer!
I understand the need to control costs, but I respect the companies that have live customer support
Lensabl is one of very few Bose partners to equip Bose frames with presc. Lenses. The website allows for detailed configuration and the chat boosts the customer experience by direct (not a robot!) human answer. The ability for direct conversation was a key differentiator for the buy decision towards Lensabl and accelerated the custom order of lenses only (no frames needed). Order was place on Dec. 23rd '20, shipping on Feb. 5th '21 and pack received in Germany on March 10th '21 with tracking by USPS. It is worth noting that Lensabl made an exception to shipping outside of the U.S. The lens quality in material, crafting and packing is outstanding, perfect condition. The lenses require a very gentle but firm hand to snap into the frames. They are made to fit perfectly tight. Packaging includes a nice leather frame box and cleaning kit. Payment was clear and instant using Paypal. Very attractive discount was applied, so the effective price point is very competitive. Custom orders do need time to process and - given the manufacturing process of curved lenses for Bose tempo (close to impossible) with transition vantage - the order completion time is very acceptable. 100% happy German customer and many thanks to Megan, Rhinna, Jayme, Ann and all the folks on the team for making this possible. Expect more intl. Orders to come as Bose doesn't seem to have a lens partner in Germany.
This is the second time I've used Lensabl. The first time was great - easy process and quick turnaround. This second time, not so much. Lensabl needs to improve their communication processes. First, I wasn't alerted that there was missing information from my order. It wasn't until I logged on to their site (after a week was already lost) that I realized I needed to take additional pictures. After that, weeks went by with no update on my order. After a back and forth with a customer agent I was told that they had to get more work done because they failed a quality check. At this point, it had been 6 weeks since I had sent my glasses in. This frustration could be easily remediated if the status on the customer portal was more detailed. Showing "in the lab" for weeks on end doesn't provide any confidence that my glasses are being worked on or an indication on when I could expect them back. Additionally, if a pair of glasses doesn't pass quality control, then an automated notification should be sent to the customer to alert us to the delay.
First time ordering lenses on line.
Customer service answers my question with my drill mount frames.
I proceed. I not only fill the online prescription.
I sent in a copy of the prescription with the old lenses still in frame for proper measurements.
I had not been given a return notification.
Sat a pob for several days due to lack of notification.
The prescription was correct
However, the bifocals took up 75% of the lens.
They had not filled the Laden from the lenses sent
Nor did they send my old lenses back which customer service seems to think they do.
After the go round.
The blue light blocker was so bad that when my glasses are on I front of camera or computer all you notice is two blue blades staring back at you.
Sent glasses back for correction
To bring bifocals to correct size glasses were marked.
And to remove the blue blocking glare.
Same thing.
Glasses sent back for correction
They kindly let me know that there would be no charge for the return and the removal of the blue light glare and that they would just do the AR
How kind...
Once again no notice of return. Though now I am waiting for them so.
Bifocals still not correct and now they aree not at a proper distance.
Anti glare... I can see my self from the inside of the glasses vey well.
All and all it took almost 2 months. And they are not what I would get at the optometrist office.
I know since that were I got my second pair done with now problems.
I
This is my first order with Lensabl. I'm trying them because they seem to offer what I was looking for. But I was sorely disappointed by their product. First of all, they did not true the frame before making the lenses. So the resulting glasses were crooked. It cannot be fixed because I have astigmatism. Rotating the glasses results in a double image.
Secondly, I ordered high-index lenses, so I expect the lenses to be very thin. Not true. I ordered a pair of glasses at the same time with my optometrist, with Essilor Crysal Sappire, Varilux, and Transitions. The glasses from the optometrist were thinner than the Lensabl ones.
Lastly, I ordered blue-light glasses. As they said, their glasses have an amber hue, while my Essilor has a blue hue. I can see that the Lensabl lenses were bluer than my Essilor lenses when looking at a computer screen.
I was excited to use the frame in the office, but now, I'll just stick to the pair from the optometrist. I will never try these online lens replacement companies again. They only give inferior products.
Frames are of a delicate design... I was informed that they might break, but what did I have to lose? They turned out great!
I have had 3 frames "reglassed" by Lensable... they deliver good value.
Although there was a delay in receiving my glasses, it was WORTH THE WAIT. I needed lenses made for hard to find frames and they nailed it…better than I could ever have expected. I am 100% satisfied!
This was my first time ordering lens' on line, it was an easy process and instructions were clear to understand. Will definetely use them again.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that your first experience ordering lenses online with us was easy and straightforward. We appreciate your kind words and look forward to serving you again in the future.
First time using Kendall. The turn around was quick. I had many questions and even made an alteration to my order via chat and it worked.
Over all the price was not much lower than my FSA store. I thought the pricing would have been better since the goodr frames are so well pricedx
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
Hi Ruth - hooray! We are so glad you didn't listen to the people that said you couldn't get good glasses online. We appreciate you giving us chance and trusting us with your vision!
