Exceptionally good, outright perfect support by Glen Hyman, and that on a Sunday! Purchase went with out a hitch, hope delivery does likewise. There was a question of how to apply a sale coupon, the web purchase forms did not offer a clear path. Glen stepped in and the purchase was placed in minutes (Order Confirmation *******).

We were looking for stylish lighting illuminating our walkway up to the house, with a total of 16 steps, especially in the winter time when it gets dark around 4:30 PM in Seattle.
Avoid this company. Very deceptive business practices, virtually non-existent customer service and very poor and unprofessional service once you get it! Go to lampsplus.com if you want a problem free purchase and return. I use them all the time w/my companies and they will shatter your expectations!

I ordered 2 lights and returned them within a day because I found out they contained substantial levels of lead and were being discontinued. After nearly 2 months they never credited me back. When I called to confirm they received the lights, they said they did ( within a week of the return).I asked why haven't I received a credit. A very defensive customer service lady, talked over me and nervously said "the money is in your account"
I told her I did not open an account. Her reply was 'an account was opened when I ordered the lights'. Obviously without my permission.
Keeping the returned products and my money is illegal in my book. BUYER BEWARE
Check the reviews. When you have a substantial number of 1 or 2 stars then only 5 star puffery stating the exact opposite of the negative reviews, my guess is a bunch of their friends manipulating the reviews. The day after the call to customer service, I got an email citing a refund.
We purchased many different items from several different mfg and, across the board, it was hard to beat Lighting New York's prices. Jean Marie was exceptionally helpful and patient and, if she is representative of customer support in general, you want to use this company!
Do not order from this company. I have been dealing with a problem on a very large order for weeks (going on months) with very slow response time, full voicemail boxes, and lack of desire to help. The fixture I ordered has an overall height 3+ inches greater than depicted on their site, and the company has been unwilling to pay for return shipping and insists on store credit. I would think that during a global pandemic, they would be a bit flexible, especially for a customer who has placed a large order. If I could give this company less than 1 star, I would!

I was sent the wrong item and was on a strict install timeline. I tried to reach them for 24 hours for a fast resolution, and after wasting a lot of time, they told me to call back next week. Very frustrating, will never order from this company again.
This company has the best prices and the best return policy. I got the exact light I ordered, at the lowest price after looking at 10 different retailers. It arrived quickly, everything intact. It turned out it wasn't quite the right style for us, and they took it back full refund no problem. I plan to go out of my way to give them my business in the future.
Navigation from the advertisement to the linked page to the product page to the correct size product page was not obvious. I had to look up the product on the manufacturer site, capture the product code for the correct product version and search for that on the LNY site. I almost purchased the wrong size.
Chat pop-up kept getting in the way. The 'x' to get rid of it should not require a hover over the unwanted prompt. The prompt should not get in the way of the purchase process. Chat is supposed to help, not annoy.
"LED lamping" was misleading. Had to drill down to the specs to confirm that the fixture has a standard medium/Edison socket for any bulb that meets the wattage / heat limitation.
Received a Kichler fan with no fan blades, (can you believe it, no fan blades. Tried to get just the blades (bought in early July... blades not available until OCTOBER maybe. Takes days to get a response if you get one. New York, New York?
Spent over $5,000 on lights & ceiling fans for new construction. Explained in advance that I would not be able to return within 30 days because the house is under construction in another state. I was assured "won't be a problem." LIES! When I needed to return 2 light fixtures worth $600 total in order to order 3 different lights worth over $600 -- and returned fixtures were in UNOPENED boxes -- they refused. I went to management -- no help. I AM SORRY THAT I GAVE THEM MY MONEY. RUN AWAY -- THEY LIE!
After reading the reviews on this site about Lighting New York, I was a little hesitant to order from them; however, they had the exact chandelier and vanity light fixtures I wanted at the best prices I could find. When I called with questions, the salesperson answered them all courteously and then gave me an even bigger discount than the online prices. My two items arrived promptly, but one of the crystal flowers on the vanity light was broken. (It appeared to have been cracked when packed at the manufacturer's.) Oh, no, I thought; here's where the trouble begins. Not so! After one phone call, a replacement flower was sent and I received it within a week. I would definitely recommend Lighting New York!
Two times over two weeks I spoke with reps at Lighting New York trying to order some track lighting they have for sale. Both times, despite the promise that they would find out what pieces were needed, no one ever got back with me. I guess they don't need more orders or more business.

Needed a replacement globe for outside lights. I could order all other items online except this glass. Hard to get a hold of, but very helpful once able to get on phone. Sandy was a delight to work with.
I ordered two oversize mirrors from Lighting New York and did not pay attention to the facts that (a) I needed to call to get the price quoted to me (that was lower than what was shown on the internet and (b) the mirrors would be shipped front door freight, which meant that they could not be brought into my office without an additional charge. This was my fault, as all of this was very clear. I contacted them when I became aware of both issues. They refunded the difference in price on the same day, and they worked very hard with the shipper to change the delivery address to my home address. The difficulty with the delivery company was not their fault - the mirrors shipped directly from Uttermost and Uttermost had to coordinate everything. They worked on this every single day for over a week until it was resolved to my satisfaction. I have never been more pleased with a vendor, and I've ordered a lot of things for my home on the internet. I will definitely order from them again!
2nd purchase this summer. They had fixtures in stock that no one else had. I spent 3-4 hours searching the web for a lamp and no luck. 10 minutes on Lighting of NY and the order has been made.

Answer: When did you place the order? You can/should call your credit card company to file a dispute. Did you get any payment confirmation (did you keep those things in writing)? ANSWER: Yes, I talked with RBC Bank in Georgia, which said that the merchant had made the dollar conversions and only the merchant could reverse it. Lighting New York said it was nothing to do with them and could not reverse the phony charge.
