Someone else wrote: "If you ever thought for one minute that you had contacted the worst company on the planet then you haven't tried doing business with these bunch of unprofessional misfits!", and I couldn't say it any better. I wish I had the time to fully explain how they completely effed up my life etc, but I'll do myself a favor and refrain. I am DEFENITLY finding myself a replacement company, and I will just say that if you enjoy being lied to over and over again and being treated like a POS then go here. Otherwise STAY AWAY!

LinCare is the worst medical device company I've ever dealt with. Years ago I was in need of durable medical equipment so my doctor contacted LinCare for their services. From the very beginning I had nothing but with them. Customer service is almost none existent. Billing was a nightmare and they didn't care what my wishes were. Eventually I had enough and found a different provider.

Recently my wife was hospitalized and needed home oxygen. The hospital attempted to contact my provider however they are not and 24/7 service so they had to use a different. Against my instincts I agreed to allow LinCare. I received a call from a LinCare reprehensive who advised he would go by the hospital and drop of a portable tank for the wife then come to our residence and set up the home device.

Later I received a call from the Representative who stated that our insurance would not cover the device. I knew this to in fact be wrong and contacted our insurance company who assured me that the device was covered. The hospital case worker called me and she found a different provider who accepts our insurance and we will be using the. I've never heard of the company but at this point any company other company has to be better to deal with than LinCare.

My doctor ordered a Portable Oxygen Concentrator for me. After much back and forth with Lincare they delivered something else that was only portable for 2 hours--tanks. THIS IS NOT WHAT MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED. Then they said I had to let them bill for these tanks (too heavy for me to carry with my injuries) for 30 days. Now they want to bill for these for another 60 days before they order that other actual equipment that was on my doctor's order. Now they say that they shredded my prescription and that the doctor has to write another one. REALLY? Seriously? I got upset with the woman and told her that they are not following doctor's orders. I told her I was going to file a complaint with Medicare and maybe even under elder abuse. Since when is the right oxygen equipment for someone on 24 hour oxygen up for them to decide when they want to deliver it? 90 days after the doctor ordered it. We all, for heaven's sake, have to breath. On this site I have to click on one star but they don't even deserve it! To deny a disabled senior with compromised respiratory condition (allergies and asthma) oxygen is not acceptable! I am supposed to be on 24 hour oxygen!

Dirtbags
December 27, 2022

The so called 'management' at their Clearwater CPAP supply center are scheming little lying dirtbags. They are there to protect a very few workers. Weed dealers, paramours, thieves, convicts are amongst their flavor boos. They manipulate the calls, data, quality for certain people. When that doesn't work they stick their hooves into your work to steal for their flavo. This is done to manipulate bonuses to workers and supervisors. The $#*! faced smirk uneducated supervisor knows who he is, along with the worthless general manager and dirty assed site manager as well as their C suite. They aren't working on your problems! Geez. What is behind their turdiness? Money? Sex? Drugs? All of the above? These dirtbags are irresponsible with your healthcare! They screwed over everyone for their dead asses! They should be shut down by linde and move their headquarters to Tennessee. Drop their sorry pieces of garbage. Send linare toilet paper to wipe the shat off their sorry asses.

My husband was forced to switch to lincare and it's been one disaster after another. Wrong equipment, no record sent to supplier asvto what Catutmet set us up for, guess work by discription of supplies and wrong supplies sent. Multiple calls to Local offices but they are extremely unhelpful passing the buck. Speaking of " bucks", this company seems to be a moneymaker for someone. The local offices in Fall River And Catumet are disgustingly unkept hole in the wall set ups waiting to close shop over night I feel. I've been eating over 6 weeks for supplies promised for 3-5 business days. I don't know why Medicare has dropped the professional companies we were in. I am calling the BBB and Atty. General to file a complaint.

When I left the hospital they ordered oxygen for me from Lincare. They didn't have any delivery people so they sent someone who knew nothing about setting up the equipment so we did the set up. They charged my credit card 66.81 for this delivery. Then I only used the equipment for two weeks and was able to go off and I kept calling to have them pick it up but no one ever answered, I left messages to call me and no one called me to pick it up. Finally I got a therapist that didn't really know much about the equipment or anything for that matter and she said she would come get it. I was then charged on my credit card without my knowledge another 35.63. I got my EOB (explanation of benefits) from my insurance and they show I was only supposed to pay the 35.63. Be careful on giving them your credit card as they just go in and charge without any invoice or explanation and then you can't get ahold of them. This business really needs to be looked into for their billing to insurance and the patient because they are claiming more than they should.

For two years I have been going through Hell with this co. It was first recommended by the MGH a prestigious hospital in Boston! They are totally incompetent. Do not use them ever. I thought after even speaking with supervisors at MGH and women at the office repeatedly I could maybe work with them as I am a reasonable man and willing to give people a chance it all came to naught- in fact matters got worse: My wife needed O2 deliveries and when I called they were hardly ever on the same day they said- they would even confirm the man was coming and he would come two days later only after my intervention several times. They wanted to push it off for another week I explained this is Oxygen, not pizza delivery! Over the two year period I have developed a heart condition keeping everything about lincar from my wife who was critical. She died this week!
I called Lincar and asked to have the equipment picked up- which equip. Was only gotten with great stress and in shabby condition and had to be replaced ( the oxygen machine which sounded like a machine shopwhen running). Well, a man came I waited for three days and whe he came he could not fit he equip. On his truck and had to call for help! I had told two girls about every item needed to be returned! So in all, forget this co. I am calling several lawyers for the stress which may have contributed to my heart condition Sincerely Mr. T. in Melrose Ma Thank you all..

Horrible Customer Service Rep: Alisha
May 4, 2022

My Local Office is great but the Corporate Billing Dept in FL is horrible. I waited on hold for 59 minutes and 32 seconds and Alisha answered. She told me I was not on the account, even though I had called last month & the local office has me listed, I tried to tell her this plus I have medical power of atty but she talked over me. I said I waited for an hour on hold and she said "if you don't watch it you will wait another hour". She then hung up on me. I got pissed but only after she interuppted me and wouldn't let me talk. I just wanted an itemized bill. I immediately starting checking out other oxygen providers. Does Corporate not care about their insanely horrible billing department? My God, its sickening that they deal with people who obviously struggle to breath and they treat them this way. Am sending a complaint to corporate but no doubt will receive no response as I've seen dozens of bad reviews about their customer service and several where they were hung up on, likely the same reason, they are horrible and rude and stressed out people caring for loved ones who can't breath or they themselves can't breath are already stressed enough and they make it so much worse.

Stay AWAY!
August 21, 2015

I worked for Lincare for about half of a year. I can honestly say, I wish that I had read reviews on indeed and other sites before going to work there, I haven't ever witnessed such morally unethical and unprofessional business people as what I saw go on within that company. From the management being sexually unprofessional regarding comments and discussions about other employees, harassment, Medicare inducement for referrals by taking snacks and doing lunches and calling them "in services", speaking to employees and customers very rudely, twisting, turning, and creating fraudulent test results and records to benefit their referrals, convincing employees that they need to use the the corporate credit card to pay for lunches but, then not reimbursing in a timely fashion and holding employees responsible for making large payoffs/payments on the credit cards. This company doesn't care about people including customers and employees, they're about money, I witnessed it first hand. I wouldn't ever recommend them to anyone especially my family or friends. There are so many other companies that are in the area that can take so much better care of you and your family while being ethical. This company has an "F" and isn't supported by the BBB for the reason of so many customer complaints and the company not responding to these and has horrible reviews online from employees. Do it for your family.

Customer NON-service
December 14, 2020

I cannot express how FRUSTRATED I am regarding Lincare's customer non-service!

My husband has been a customer of yours for approx 5 years. Each year we fill out a Financial Hardship Application for an oxygen concentrator. This year I started this process in early July so it could be in place by September. As of today, December 14th, we STILL do not have a decision on the financial hardship! I understand we are in the middle of COVID and there are a lot of people needing supplies BUT this does not mean I should have to make 10+ phone calls with waiting for 30 to 60+ minutes ON HOLD waiting to talk to one of your customer service agents WHO get absolutely NOTHING accomplished!

Lincare you should be ashamed of yourselves for treating your customers in this fashion! You are one of the WORST companies I have EVER had to deal with!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Healthcare specialist

You will be on call weekends and evenings without compensatory pay. Travel can be up to 2000 miles a month at only. 31 cents a mile in which the standard mileage reimbursement is .58 cents a mile. A very small stipend is given which does not cover the depreciation or maintenance on your vehicle. They will not cover your insurance deductible for any accidents and you are tracked by app GPS thru your company tablet and phone. It most likely will not be revealed to you that the majority of patients reside over 60 miles away. You will have limited training and compromise your Nurse/RT license with the many complex cases they will send you to at all hours because of late discharges. Many patients also have behavioral/mental issues. They will tell you there is a commission for pt/inr set- ups which you happen to only receive after the patient tests 4 times, there are limited patient commissions. Most of your time will be spent on care checks to SELL SELL SELL ventilators in which you will never receive a dime of commission. Another portion of time will be spent doing telemarketing calls asking patients why they haven't renewed they nebulizer medication $. Also, you will be told there are "center bonuses" which are very nominal. Matching 401k is only paid after a year of service, yearly increases are nominal. Other benefits are mediocre at best. You will work like a dog for this company but they never have your back and do not value good, honest employees. such a shame for a national company to screw hard working clinicians/nurses. Stay far away.

DO NOT USE LINCARE!
June 17, 2022

My dad had Lincare for his medical supply needs and these people were the WORSE people ever. The customer service is awful, they never know anything nor do they even care to find out for you. My dad is on oxygen and one day the power went out and the tank they had brought him was only half way full so of course it went out and when we called to let them know their exact words were "Well I don't know what to tell you, maybe you just need to take him somewhere where there's electricity" like they didn't even take responsibility that if they'd brought him a full tank of oxygen he would've been fine, they basically just brushed us off and didn't even care... there was another issue where he needed a cpap machine and when it stopped working, they basically said there wasn't anything they could do. So please please please DO NOT use Lincare for your medical supply needs, there are plenty other suppliers that have great customer service and will help you with your needs, we have now switched to Aerocare and they have been wonderful! As far as the rating, I would've given a negative rating if I could've.

Poor Followup, Poor Service
September 19, 2017

I have been a Lincare patient for over two years now. When originally setup with my CPAP unit there was poor instruction on accessing the Lincare online system to view the CPAP records that were being logged (unit seal, sleep time, etc.). My unit failed within the first year and a replacement took weeks to get. Although a loaner unit was provided, it was on its last leg and was very noisy. Most recently the supplies that I was receiving regularly all of a sudden quit coming in. I called my local Lincare center and was referred to the Lincare CPAP national 1-800 number. It took four days to get through due to the recent Hurricane Irma in Florida, and when I finally got through (today) I was instructed that my 'local Lincare service center had placed a hold on my CPAP supplies subscription". Soooooo... I called my local Lincare center back up and after sitting on hold for quite a while a service assistant returned to explain that "this is ridiculous, it appears that corporate has an inquiry into continuation of supplies and it has not been responded to... we will get that in for you today". Ridiculous is right. What is ridiculous is the service provided by my lo zl Lincare center. I received a survey in the mail a few weeks back and let them know my frustrations. As of this date I have had no response from a Lincare representative other than this exchange today regarding lack of regular supplies being made available. At least they offered to let me pick up a mask/pillow today since mine is leaking... that is 'if we have one'...
