Don't waste time with this company. They are only in business to draw taxpayer money. Tell your doctor to avoid them completely.
I worked for Lincare for several months. I am an experienced Administrative professional. I was hired on at 11.75hr and was told that was the most they paid their employees. A 19yr old with nothing but fast food experience was hired making 12.00 hr. In addition, I was forced to train that employee and others who made more money than me. There is no training. I worked 7 days a week to try to catch up the patient orders. There were patients without limbs waiting on their orders for years (literally). They won territories that they don't have the man power to provide service for. Some of the employees would throw the dme orders away because, they didn't want to do the work; offices would call all the time looking for orders; especially, McAllen Tx and San Antonio. It is very ghetto-employees, including the Mgr. Jennifer Cleveland, come to work in sweats, house shoes and clothes like they don't care about their appearance. The entire company is ran by a bunch of air head women who have the company almost in bankruptcy. The turn over is so bad that they will hire, church members, family, friends-a referral for anyone that can pass a drug test. Jennifer, the Mgr, hires all of her previous co-workers, friends at 12.00hr, when there are employees that have worked there for years and, can not make that much. *********BEWARE******** I wouldn't take this job unless I was desperate...
Lincare is more bureaucratic than the post office and IRS combined
Can't get orders filled. Rarely get a call back
Been 7 weeks since I tried to get CPAP supplies
WE HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND FEEL WE HAVE HAD VERY POOR SERVICE FOR MY MOTHERINLAW. SHE WAS AUTHORIZED BY HER DR TO HAVE THE PORTABLE OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR THAT DIDN'T WORK PROPERLY BUT THEY WOULDN'T LISTEN TO US AND CONTINUED TO CHARGE MEDICARE AND OUR INSURANCE COMPANIES FOR IT. THE AUXILARY BATTERY WAS NEVER WORKING TO WOULD'T EVEN GIVE HER OXYGEN FOR AN HOUR. WHEN THEY FINALLY PICKED IT UP IN MAY THEY ACKNOWLEDGED IT DIDN'T WORK PROPERLY(EVEN THO' ALL OF THE TIME THEY BLAMED IT ON HER) THEN WHEN WE TRIED TO CHANGE PROVIDERS WE WERE GIVEN THE RUN AROUND. WILL BE SO HAPPY TO GET AWAY FROM THIS BUNCH OF RUDE AND INCOMPTANT PEOPLE IN THE HANKINSON ND OFFICE
I want the home office information so I can ask for assistance that my local folks can't seem to handle..
Careful when dealing with Lyncare. Always watch the billing. They will overcharge you and will keep on sending supplies that you don't need.
When I bought my 3rd CPAP Resmed 10 from Lyncare, they decided to bill me rental instead of outright buy. The past 2 machines where a straight purchase. I don't know why they decided that the 3rd machine to be a rental. The only explanation was that they can make more money because it's a 10 month rental. I called my Blue Cross insurance and the agent said it should have been a purchase and even talked to someone in accounting. They said they will call me back but they never did and they never changed the billing. I called them after a week and someone in accounting insisted that my insurance is only for rental. I told them that my insurance agent said it should have been a purchase and not a rental. The Lyncare accountant said that my insurance agent doesn't know the policy. I paid everything off and told them to close my account and stop sending me supplies.
Run away as fast as you can! Once you are a patient, they don't care about customer service. My mother is on oxygen and we have had so many problems with them - from not knowing how to use the cannula to Lincare not providing enough oxygen cannisters (they don't feel Mom should leave the house so they won't provide enough oxygen cannisters for an afternoon trip). Here is a quick summary:
1. They told Mom the wrong way to use the cannula (they had it upside down).
2. They said the oxygen tanks are only for emergencies and not to take them outside the house.
3. They will only provide oxygen at our 2nd house when it is convenient for them (we have to arrive a day early and stay a day late because they won't provide oxygen after 3pm on Friday and they won't come and pick it up until Monday -- no more weekend getaways for us!)
4. We just discovered that the hose/cannulas should be replaced every few weeks - it's been 2 months with 24 hour oxygen at 8 L/m. Obviously LinDontCare that their equipment is providing sufficient oxygen until the patient starts having difficulties breathing.
Try someone else.
If you're on Medicare, call the number on your card, press 0 for a live person, ask for the DME (durable medical equipment) claims office, and tell them you have been getting dismal or no service from Lincare and you absolutely must find an alternative supplier. I reached an extremely helpful woman who first gave me the name of other potential suppliers for my zip code, saying that I should call and ask if they were still competitive bidders for respiratory DME. Several were suppliers I had used in the past but knew were now longer considered "competitive bidders." Unbidden, the Medicare woman then called around herself and found me a new supplier.
I live in a major metropolitan area. Perhaps in some parts of the country Lincare is the only supplier Medicare (or your insurance company) has accepted as a competitive bidder to supply DME service. If so, complain LOUDLY! To your insurer.
The very helpful Medicare woman said that according to regulations since she had found me an alternative source she could not take a complaint about Lincare. She suggested I ask through "My Medicare" upper right chat button about how to file a complaint (and hopefully protect future patients).
Unless patients tell their insurers just how bad Lincare is, Lincare will continue to win competitive bids because they don't do anything, but presumably are at least modestly compensated anyway. Just for taking an occasional phone call and blowing it off.
My local Lincare office did not take calls for months. These calls sometimes were answered by an office in upstate New York, where occasionally someone would admit they received but then lost my papers. A real frustration that has gone on for more than eight months. And I my only issue is needing a new mask. I feel for people, like a former companion dying of lung cancer, who have serious respiratory DME medical needs.
I've called this office 7 times! No Response! Went down to office to get the Equipment MYSELF! NO PAPERWORK FOR ME! 8 WEEKS LATER... Was supposed to be DELIVERED ON FRIDAY AT 9AM! Called Office at 4PM!... WAS SWITCHED TO 5 COUNT THEM 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE (KNOWING THAT THERE ARE ONLY 2 OR 3 PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE!) Mind you they said it was OUT for Delivery & I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT ALREADY!... SOOOOO... 7:30PM GOT CALL FROM DRIVER STATING THAT IT WOULD BE MONDAY "SOMETIME" THAT MACHINE WAS JUST LEFT ON HIS DESK! AND HE WAS GOING HOME FOR THE NIGHT! UGH! I SAID OHHHHHH REALLY?... I GUESS IT'S OK... I JUST WON'T BE ABLE TO BREATHE UNTIL THEN... BUT DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME! MY DOCTOR JUST PRESCRIBED IT TO ME FOR THOSE REASONS!... SO I COULD BREATHE! NEVER AGAIN! RUUUNNNN (IF YOU CAN BREATHE) AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THEM! TRYING TO SWITCH COMPANIES!
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND ITS PRACTICES! Since getting my first cpap machine 6 years ago, I have been also getting supplies from Lin(doesn't)care. After 5 years of having my equipment, they starting charging me a bi-yearly "service Agreement" fee for which I NEVER signed up for and opted out of multiple times via phone and in writing. I can't count how many times I have contacted multiple people in this company about the "past due balance" each month for the service agreement I REFUSE to pay for. I OWN the equipment and never agreed to a service agreement. How many other people have they done this to, unknowingly, and unwillingly? Like so many other companies, they are throwing FALSE charges on the account and trying to force me to pay. I REFUSE and am thinking of taking this to a legal level. I have long ago switched to another supplier and still receive past due statements for the amount of the service agreement. STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! RESEARCH ALL OF THE LAW SUITS ONLINE AND SEE WHAT TYPE OF IDIOTS YOU WILL BE DEALING WITH!
28 dollar walker from Amazon they sold to my mother for 308.00 dollar please stay away complete rip off.
They can't get their file straight they lose files they don't call when they're supposed to there was the worst business is I've ever dealt with
My husband has been trying to return product that he doesn't need and they put you on hold after you tell them what you wanna do.
I have been trying to get my CPAP supplies for 6 months and keep getting the run around they keep finding new ways to say they need more information and someone will to get it and nobody ever calls.
I had called to inquire about home oxygen delivery. I was given their name as an in-network provider by
My insurance, AARP Medicare Advantage. The woman who answered was very rude. I told her I wanted
Information about oxygen delivery for cluster headaches. She told me flat out that oxygen was not
Covered for cluster headaches. I told her that I had contacted two other companies, Aero & Apria
And neither of them told me that it was not covered & that there was a 20% copay. I only called
Lincare because they were located the closest to my residence. I hung up & contacted my insurance & they told me it was covered & not to use Lincare. I believe the woman didn't want to be bothered since it was 4:45 & they close at 5:00. Well, I will not use Lincare due to her poor attitude! I wanted to add that cluster
Headaches are severe pain (so bad that they call them "suicide headaches"). I've had two 8 hr. Childbirths &
Cluster headache pain is worse than childbirth. I use oxygen therapy & the pain subsides within 15 minutes.
It is way better than using narcotics & painkillers. I wouldn't wish them on anyone, except I do wish this
Woman would experience one so she knows not to be so flippant when she answers the phone.
Called left number said they would call me no call been 4 days they must not need business. People like this should be closed down
Been trying to get c-pap supplies for a year. Started a Hickory NC Lincare. Kept calling and receptionist said they would contact me. Neverdid all summer of 2020. September I took my medical records to N. Wilkesboro NC Lincare and dropped them off. Checked with them and the said I would have to have a follow up with the Dr due to being over a year. This was due to Hickory location dragging it out all summer with no action. I saw the Dr January
31,2021 and they faxed Lincare in N Wilkesboro my information confirmed fax. I waited 6 weeks and called. They stated they never received the fax. I had the information faxed to them again. Called and they stated they had received it. I called April 23 and N. Wilkesboro said I couldn't get supplies from them iwas out of their district, I would have to get them from Hickory. I spoke with the manager Brian and ask why didn't they tell me this when I gave them the paperwork in September? He gave no reason for it and told me to ask for the manager at Hickory. Called Hickory and the Manager will not speak with me or return my call. I'm sick of these irresponsible negligent people at both locations. I will go to a different provider. I have spent a year of dealing with their incompetence!
I have called everyday for 3 weeks on my husband account, for the last 5 months it has been deactivated but no one knows why, finaly got them to reactive it and still nothing no supplies, call everyday and everyday im told its shipped its in underwriting or insurance needs to aprove then it all starts over with each phone call, i have honestly never had a company so hard to work with at trying to get services, with ZERO help, like no one there hepled everytime i called i was shoved off the phone with the same excuse as the person before and FYI still no product from them, still waiting after months, terrible terrible service.
I've been waiting for my CPAP machine to come in for almost 3 months. Can't Lincare obtain them from another vendor?
Poor communication! Different story from staff they LIED! Never received from call for a month! Not recommended!
Answer: Yes, Lincare is fraudulent. I finally sent a letter to my Medicare Advantage and also Medicare. The only way to stop this company is to take action. All of our rants and raves are exactly that, rants and raves. Please talk to your insurance company and medicare provider. This company needs to not be in business, especially with such vulnerable customers who depend on them. WA state
Answer: You will not get satisfaction! I have struggled with this company for over one year because of Medicare requirements. Totally exasperating! Buyer beware!
Answer: Really? Then ask someone why I tried for over 3 weeks to get a new c-pap mask and hose from the HOME office in Florida and it never showed up! I'm not indigent like some of your customers, I don't accept incompetence. My sleep clinic simply changed me to a new supplier and I am now very, very happy with them.
Answer: DONNA, I REPLACE THE FILTER BY ASKING MY SUPPLIER, THEY USUALLY ARE VERY ACCOMADATING AND GIVE ME ONE. LINCARE, NORCO, AND SUPPLIER WILL REPLACE IT. I ALWAYS CLEAN THE VENTS MYSELF, BUT I LET THE COMPANY REPLACE IT.
