Total ripoff. Even though I have called to cancel three months in a row, they continue to charge my account. I cannot believe they allow this type of scam to continue. I will call my states Attorney General to file a complaint.

I really liked the resume builder and cover letter tools. I did have some minor struggles when exporting into Word but nothing I couldn't handle. The best resume and cover letter tool I've found and it saves a ton over professional resume writers.

I was preparing two different resumes. This is a great site. Very easy to walk through. The only problem was I had to wait to begin the second resume because the option wasn't offered to begin a new one for a different person. Also upon trying to cancel the subscription I had to call in because the site just kept offering more things to buy. The ease of using this site is wonderful. Same problem as everyone else. I didn't mind paying the $4.95 to download my resume that I created. What I didn't realize is that I signed up for an additional service that I needed to call them for to cancel - which was $34.95 per month. I would have never signed up for this because I only needed a one time download. I didn't notice the charge until my second credit card billing statement - which by then I was already out for 3 months worth of charges.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB and have disputed the charges with my credit card company. We'll see what happens. I tried calling up livecareer and explained the situation, but they weren't willing to work with me.

I have recently deleted my account and upon that there wasn't anything stating that the subscription would still be running. Because I'm from Canada it took $54 out of my account! I called to get it back and nothing. I asked to talk to a manager and I was told no they will tell you exactly what I said to you. The lady I talked to was very rude and kept cutting me off and was talking to me like I was an idiot.
I want a refund back of all my money.
The lady told me that she had "great" news that she can refund me only 29.00 back to me. That is nothing and will not help or make the situation better. I am very angry and will never use this site again. And from reading some of the comments on this I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.
I have reported live career to my bank and will be contacting the bbb.

Fill out a FREE resume then they ding you with $1.95 fee. How is that free? Then 2 weeks later ding you with an additional $39.80 which is nonrefundable. I ended up redoing my resume myself which was much better than my FREE, I mean my $41.75 resume from LiveCareer.com.

I used LiveCareer three months ago to build a resume for work. Little did I know that after resuming my account I would "activate" a monthly subscription of 34,95$ CAD... The only indication being on the subscription E-mail that they send to confirm your purchase. You know, the e-mail you get to authenticate the transaction on a service that you chose (in that case a 14 days trial)? Have you ever had a service that wrongfully gets you to subscribe to it without ever giving you any indication of the renewment except in your bank account listing at the end of the month?
In that case, you can subscribe to this horrible and dishonest service.

This is a total scam. It tells you that it is only $1.99 but then charges you $39.80! They say that they will you send you an email saying that it is going to go up after 14 days but I never received an email. And then when i called to get a refund they acted like they didn't even care that they just scammed you out of your money! Not to mention the online chat takes 20 plus minutes to reply back and if they don't get to you it makes you just send an email to them!

The site claimed to offer free resumes so I created one only to find out when I went to print it that it would cost $1.95. Since I had spent the time to make it and the price wasn't that much I went ahead and payed. The surprise came 2 weeks later when my account was charged $39.80 for a subscription I was unaware I had signed up for. I cancelled the subscription immediately and asked for a refund of the $39.80. They cancelled the subscription but it remains to be seen if I will get my money back. If not that was a very expensive resume.

I called asking for a prorated rate since I was a day late with their glitchy system and wham $29.95 for 6 hours! Are you $#*!ting me?! I thought I was purchasing the $4.95 7 day trial version of the resume template...
I experienced some formatting issues but wasn't too concerned for $4.95. I also converted the template to word for ease of modification. But I was charged 34.95 in June and then 34.95 again in July, both charges included an additional $1.04 foreign transaction fee... The deception is a significant concern, since the website comes up first on the list when googled... they also have an A rating with the BBB--not sure how they keep that rating. I will discuss with my Visa rep how to block future transactions, and may have to converse with the fraud department in order negate the additional payments. From other comments on your website, it apprears that several people have experienced the identical scenario. The BBB website indicates they have received 12 complaints in the last 6 months. Most of which are Billing related. I will contact them as well.

I think I used this company's services once a few years ago and have just discovered they have been drawing a monthly fee ever since. Apparently it is written in the small print on their website that they will continue to bill you regardless of whether they are doing anything for you - outrageous! I needed to cancel my subscription, and the agent helping me was efficient in helping me with this. I was glad I could chat online with someone about this instead of calling. It was cancelled in about 5 minutes. To keep me as a customer, I was told I could be paying $5/month, rather than $20, which was frustrating that I had been overpaying for so long! But I get it, its a business. Anyway, the site served its purpose for me, and I was happy with it, and the customer service!

I feel that it is a good system that formats your resume with many different options as well as with pointers. I think you should be up front with fact that there is an initial fee as well as a recurrent fee. Should have a 1 time short term fee like the 1.95 for someone like myself who only needed a resume in a pinch for a job i want for pleasure. I think you should have a flat fee for 3, 6, 9, 12 month stents that starts with like 14.99. I would recommend it to friends but would also recommend they cancel the recuurent fee.

I finally started working by doing a few shadow and training shifts on payday i got 70 pounds, i paid my rent and went to buy some food, at the shop my card was rejected, i called my bank to find that a payment of 22.95 had been taken out by livecareer. Thinking this was a mistake i contacted there customer services via their live chat, aparently the free cv builder had not only cost me the 1.95 i had to pay to print it out but i had BY PAYING the 1.95 i had further agreed to pay them a monthly subscription fee, so it has cost nearly £25 for a FREE CV, I have now email the customer services and hope they will sort this unauthorised payment out I have tried to talk to two on livw chat but it's like talking to a brick wall, im not holding my breath. How can these companies get away with these practices. No wonder there head office is in BERMUDA
