I used this service for a class in school which required me to update my resume. The experience couldn't have been better. My resume turned out great and when I called to cancel my subscription, Lennin was extremely professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend this service to my family, friends and colleagues.

Total scam and will rip you off. They advertised one price and will keep billing you $34.95 per month. The service I wanted was for $2.95 well I ended up $2.95 plus $34.95.
SCAM artist and definitely fraud. I reportedthem to the BBB and also to the consumer protection agency.
Stay away from these crooks.

I was billed $1.95 initially and then $19.95 for 2 months I wasn't aware I was being billed. When I became aware of this, I called and requested a refund for the $39.90 as I didn't know I had been subscribed to a service I didn't need. I am awaiting my refund. Thank for cancelling my subscription to this unwanted service and refunding my $39.90.

SCAM! I tried this website for a "free" resume builder. It took a lot longer than I anticipated. However, I was pleased with the result. I did not think it was worth the fee. But, I decided that a one-time fee of $34.95 wasn't too bad. I logged on to their website on 12-10-2013 after receiving the $34.95 charge and camcelled my subscription. I noticed on 1-10-2014 that I was charged again. I called to cancel it. They claim that is has now been cancelled. They will NOT refund the second charge even though I told them I had cancelled it the month before. I do not recommend this service!

Please, whatever you do, do not use this website to create a resume. You think they are charing you $2 to create a resume, then they start automatically billing your credit card every month. You get no notification that they are doing this, whatsoever, until you start noticing unusual billing on your credit card. As well, they change their billing name so it shows up as a different name on your credit card statement every month. My teenager used this site to make a resume, then my credit card was charged $50 a month for the next 7 months before I caught up with them. They WOULD NOT REIMBURSE ME A DIME, even though they took payment from a minor. This is a huge scam! They provide absolutely zero service for the debits they take out of your account.

Harriet with Employee ID 9331 was amazingly helpful in the live chat, Alaine disconnected the moment I told her the issue. Dislike the way the website is ran (no easy way to end subscription, only sells service as subscription, usual clickbaity crap), but Harriet made a bad experience better.

Hi Douglas D.,

We apologize if you were disconnected while talking to Alaine. All of our subscriptions are auto-renewing. We state this on every page in the purchase process and we send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal upon purchase. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your account settings.

As confirmed, your subscription has been cancelled and was refunded. Rest assured that you will not be charged any further. We have also sent you a cancellation confirmation email for your records.

SCAMMERS... Just got off the phone with the most disrespectful woman ever. I paid the $34.95 when I set up the account, after 1 week, called and had membership canceled because I no longer needed the service, then a month later, I get another charge for $34.95 after I have already had account canceled. The awful lady told me that I was lying about calling & canceling & that they would not refund my last $34.95 back to me! Are you $#*!ing kidding me! I will be reporting them to the BBB & contacting my bank. BEWARE SCAMMERS!

Was under the impression it was "free" i am trying to build my resume and get a job. I didnt have $25 to pay but then, i paid for it anyway because i took so much time writing it while i was under the impression it was FREEE! I dont have a job right now and money is tight. Thats why i googled FREE resume builder. Trying to get a job to afford food and you all want 25 dollars for a F=n resume?! So frustrating

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, and our apologies for any confusion however, in fact we state everything up-front in order for our users to be aware of the products and services that we offer.

To clarify, we offer two types of accounts, the first one being a basic access account that gives you the chance to try out our builder before deciding to purchase our premium features; this account allows you to download a plain text version which you can copy-paste the text on to our free resume templates located here:

https://livecareer.com/resume/templates

We also provide a full access account for a small fee that grants you 14-days to print, email, or download your documents using our copyrighted templates, but these features are NOT listed within the free account.

In addition, we do offer a 100% money-back guarantee for our 14-day trial if you are not satisfied with our services.

Also, when you sign up for our 14-day trial, you’re automatically enrolled in our monthly subscription service, which we let you know at this stage that you may cancel at any time. Also, when we request your credit card information, we clearly explain that unless you self-cancel or request a cancellation before the end of your trial, you authorize us to charge your credit card every four weeks at the regular price of the subscription.

As for the refund policy, we do not process any refunds on recurring charges, as stated on our Terms and Conditions page. Our policy is as follows; we offer a 100% money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the end result during the first 14-days once those days are up, we do not process any refunds.

For more information, please refer to our Terms and Conditions page: https://www.livecareer.com/terms-of-use.

We hope that this information helps clear things up; that being said, you can always contact our designated Customer Service Team, that can help you with anything related to your account or the services that we offer.

I subscribed to a trial run of this service and quickly got all i needed out of it. I was finished with this product quickly because of how effective it was. I didn't however cancel my subscription and got charged monthly even though i no longer used it. After I realized my error I quickly contacted customer support and they were so very helpful and quick with their response to fix a mistake that for all intents and purposes my fault. The customer service rep I dealt with was Anahi Gordiano. Anahi was very patient in listening to my problems through my frustration and very rapidly coming to a pleasing course of action. Great interactions with LiveCareer. Great Product and great Service!

Stay away! I signed up for a one day use of their site at $2.95. They in turn, sign you up for a monthly subscription at $35.95, which I never requested.

When I told them I wanted a refund they said:

Alaine: Now, we normally ask that our customers cancel their subscription before the next billing period, but since I do see that you have not accessed your subscription this billing cycle, I can make an exception for you and prorate your subscription for this month. This refund will be a total of: $28.71

While it is a partial refund, my contention is:

1. I shouldn't have been signed up in the first place!
2. I should have a full refund! As stated above, I hadn't used their service.
3. Horrible customer service, the call agent, just hung up on me.

Don't use their services!

Dear Avamarie,

We apologize for the misunderstanding and we are very sorry that you were disconnected during the chat session with the representative. We’ll make sure that this is addressed and won’t happen again. The $2.95 you were billed pays for your first 7 days of full access for LiveCareer.com, which then rolls into our monthly subscription on the 8th day as stated on the subscription page and in your confirmation email. You are able to cancel at any time, but the reason why you were given a pro-rated refund is because of the number of days that have passed since the last payment of the $ 34.95 and as a courtesy credit we make an exception to pro-rate it whether you have not make use of the service.

You can also contact our customer service team for help! We are available 18 hours a day, 7 days a week from 6am- Midnight EST at toll free 1-888-816-0576 or through live chat on our site. If you prefer you can send us an email to: customerservice@livecareer.com. We also list our contact information on our "Contact Us" and "About Us" Pages on our site.

*******FRAUD ALERT*******
I purchased a one time resume for 3.95 and then they continued to deduct 34.95 per month as a recurring charge that I never authorized. When I talked to the representative she refused to credit my account stating that I recieved an e-mail stating that they would be deducting 34.95 per month. I NEVER received an e-mail stating this. I will be reporting this site on every web site I can access.

Dear Darcy,

Thanks for your comments.

We take great care in letting our customers know what they are subscribing to. I can't believe I'm forced to even give one star. You think you're signing up for a 14 day trial for $1.95 but what you don't realize is, you're actually also signing up for a subscription for $40/month. I caught mine and called their customer service number, the lady was rude and sounded half asleep. She told me that it's in the "fine print" when you sign up and that it was restated in my confirmation email. When I looked back in my 2 emails from them there was NOTHING regarding a subscription that I needed to cancel in 2 weeks. The worst part is I didn't even like their site and used a FREE template online... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY... TOTAL SCAM.

Horrible customer service! Used this site once assuming it was free because it says FREE RESUME TEMPLATES and when had to print realized there was a minimal charge so like others who spent so much time decided it was worth to pay. I believe they knowingly mislead customers! Never received an email stating anything regarding cancellation and billing (I suppose it could have ended up in SPAM. Where they should be!) Customer service reps have had soooo many calls regarding this that they have their lines memorized for this! If they really cared about the customer they would REALLY look into and return fees that were charged to people's accounts. I will surely make sure everyone I know does not use their services.

I used this service to create a resume, which I wasn't able to ultimately use because their formatting doesn't allow you to make any adjustments to the final product and I needed to. So, I canceled the subscription. Months later I find that they've used my resume as an "example" and my personal employment and education experience is online for anyone to see if they google my name and location (though my name and address don't show up on the page). I've emailed them several times to have them take my information down but they respond like they don't understand me and keep telling me I don't have an active account. I may need to report this to the BBB. I definitely do not recommend this service.

I have had a run in just like everybody else! I used it to update my resume in Feb and paid the $2.95 and cancelled after a few days. I received their cancellation confirmation and thought nothing after that thinking everything was taken care of. I noticed this morning that I was charged the $34.95 and when I called, I was originally going to have my money credited for the 4 months that I was charged. But then I was put on hold and the representative said that I had re-activated my acct in April, which is total B. S. I said that I never received an email stating that I re-activated my account and she told me that she had just cancelled my service and will be deactivated in July. So needless to say, Livecareer.com is useless and I had just taken a hit of $140 that I will never get back.

I think the way that you set your "FREE" cover letter up to be is wrong and will immediately be cancelling my order once i receive this one. You should not promote "FREE" when you charge.
