Louis answered my call. This guy had some serious awesome skills! The company must do a great job training their employees and expressing the impact their service makes to the clients that hire them. I've worked customer service before I know it's hard to have to overcome objections when a customer calls to cancel but Louis did it like it was a breeze and he put in a seriously strong effort to save my subscription. He did it in a way that wasn't overwhelming tho so I didnt feel any anxiety as he mentioned additional features the subscription had that I would be losing. I was 100% committed to canceling but he almost talked me into keeping the service because I really started to feel I wanted to keep the services that my account offered but overall my wife was sitting next to me and told me to cancel it so I did end up cancelling. If she wasn't next to me tho, I would have kept it for sure cause he was so smooth. Lol. He was polite, courteous, and extremely helpful! He has skills he could put to use in a sales environment that would do him very well but if he sticks with customer service then they are getting a heck a bargain by having him as an employee! Louis, go to commission based sales! U will kill it! Good luck bro.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS RESUME BUILDER SERVICE IT IS A TOTAL SCAM, I HAVE BEEN CHARGED 2 MONTHS AT 35.00 EACH MONTH I WENT TO THE WEBSITE AND REQUESTED THEM TO CANCEL THE AUTO WITHDRAWL FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT AND SHE COULDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH VERY WELL AND WAS A TOTAL SNOT. Disappointed & Frustrated. Altough I was happy with the cv I was able to create, I was firstly frustrated that you put all the hard work in making the cv and then at the last minute it tells you that you cant actually use this cv unless you pay a charge. I payed the charge to be able to access my cv but now that I no longer need to use the website all I want to do is cancel my subscription but have had no help in doing this so far. I have tried to contact someone several times to get help to cancel my subscription but have had no success or help so far. I have also tried to cancel my subscription on the website as there is a section that says "cancel subscription", however the many times that I have tried to click this & cancel my subscription, it doesn't actually give you the option or allow you to cancel. I believe this website is nothing but a scam and I will continue to believe so until proven wrong. I am very disappointed & frustrated and am still waiting to get help to cancel my subscription.

ITS NOT FREE! It will let you build your whole resume and BOOM now you need to pay for it. So lame. It also won't let you copy and paste. Save your time people!

I too fell for the $2.95 resume, seemed like a good deal. It was not made clear that an auto renewal would be applied after 14 days and I actually cancelled my subscription immediately after generating resume. Just downloaded a few months worth of CC statements and kept seeing the repeated charge from Live Career. I contacted them and they said they would only chargeback pro-rated amount of current month, they had billed me for 8 months without a single invoice telling me of the charges. No email, not hard copy, nada! Disgusting, underhanded scam tactics by a completely unscrupulous company. AVOID THIS OUTFIT LIKE EBOLA! I will be filing a chargeback for all but the initial charge of $2.95 through my credit card company and I will be reporting to the BBB.

I used this site to create a resume for my husband who was just laid off. The template were easy to use and I actually got a very nice resume for him without me having to draft from scratch. I needed a resume right away for an online job application. THIS part was fantastic!

Then comes the billing. Now, to those of you who are screaming about the monthly charge, that's your own damn fault. I check my bank accounts daily, DAILY, to make sure no one has gotten hold of my bank info. It's just the smart thing to do. They charged the $1.95 on the day that I used their service. I went in and cancelled the subscription right after I downloaded the resume. HOWEVER, the NEXT DAY, there were two additional charges, one for one cent, one for two cents. If you keep track of your bank accounts and banking practices, you will KNOW that those little charges are used to test that your account is a valid account. Since they had already charged the day before for what I used, there was NO REASON to test my card later, UNLESS they were planning to charge me for the subscription that I had cancelled. I immediately cancelled my debit card and got a new one. Moral of the story... KEEP TRACK OF YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS, and you won't have your accounts drained! They only got me for 3 cents because I caught it early!

One, if you try to cancel, it might not work. Because when I thought I had cancelled my subsciption I must have been for something else because I was not notified of this monthy payment, the 14 day blah blah is not clear enough. I was only refunded 9.50 because they charge by the week of 9.50 each week. This site is not worth 40 bucks a month, the customer service is rude, while typing a long message to the worker, they thought I was satisfied because I did not answer within a minute or two of their message. I now have 40 dollars in my bank account and a poor college student thanks to them. I don't have the type of money to send on sites that give lousy service. Also when checking with the subscription payment process there was no notice of 14 days notice or anything else. I was first lead to believe to only pay 2 dollars and there is a big label saying money back guarantee. Well I got 1/8th of my money back and that wont help me pay any bills or for groceries.
Thanks for the "wonderful" service Livecareer.

I hope nobody else falls for this scam.
