You have the option to save this document in several formats, I suggest making sure u've chosen several including (. Pdf) and then save on a disc to make sure the document is correct when u print or email.

Secondly, I give them a (2) star because the "live chat" is not LIVE at all, more like IM'g with no one home. Customer Service - well, they will help you- but they're rude and hard to understand accent is not helpful at all.

Just be sure to immediately call AND send a message through the unLive Chat to MAke sure u are all cancelled out. The live chat stated they would get back to me in a day and I didnt want that to turn into whenever and get charged. Call the toll free number and cancel out of everything. BEFORE the 7th day!

I was very adjutated when I notice a charge for $24.95 when I know I agreed to a payment of $1.95 for a 14 day trial. When I called customer service & a gentleman named Alex answered, I wasn't very happy but Alex took 3 minutes & fixed everything. I'm glad it was quick & easy to deal with. Thank you again Alex. I apologize for the attitude & thank you for your demeanour

They claim to offer a 'free' resume builder, however in order to print or save the resume, you have to pay $1.95 for a 14 day subscription. The website retains your credit card information and gives you no way to remove it without cancelling the account. They tell you that you have to cancel the subscription before the 14 day trial is over to avoid reoccurring billing but their website will not allow you to cancel it. Customer service is near impossible to get ahold of to rectify your issue - attempting to contact the customer service team online was a failure as it will not 'submit' and send your complaint, and the first rep I contacted by their 800 number hung up on me. The second representative told me I assumed that it was cancelled -after explaining my difficulty with the site- and told me it was my fault for not cancelling it, and they wouldn't refund my money AFTER taking a full year's subscription charge from my account! A complete and utter scam.

Tip for consumers:
There are other sites that offer free templates for download or to help build your resume that are far more reputable than this site, such as resumebuilder.org.

Hi Tameka H.,

I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our site and did not have the best customer service experience. Our free account gives you the opportunity to try out our resume builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, email, or download your resume and cover letters are features included in our paid subscription and not listed as a feature of the free account. You can download a plain text version of your resume for free.

All of our subscriptions are auto-renewing. A monthly subscription makes it easy for our customers to customize the resume and cover letter for each position for which they are applying, and also to avoid interruption on the service. You can cancel your subscription at any time and we do offer several ways to do this including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation.

Please contact me directly with the email address you used to create your account or the last 4 digits of the card that used to purchase and card holder’s name so that I can take a look at it personally and resolve this issue quickly for you. Please email me at anna.b@livecareer-support.com

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Anna

Great experience making this document - MYRESUME.
Well, an aspirant needs resumes to get his desired engamement, idealy for couple of days only. Then why have you designed your payment system as ongoing payment, till I jump in and find out how to stop it!

The site is very difficult to navigate, and reminds me of windows 95. Absolutely awful software to work with.
Anyway I spent 8 hours creating a CV, hit the 'FINISH CV' button, & I was transported to a payment page (this site is advertised as free)

Hi Alan.

*We want to apologize for the delayed response to your concern*

We’re sorry that you may have gotten the wrong impression of our service and subscription resume builder service. We would like to provide you some information which may clear up any concerns about your account: Our free account gives you the opportunity to try out our CV and cover letter builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, email, or download your CV and cover letters are features included in our paid subscription and not listed as a feature of the free account. You can download a plain text version of your CV for free. In order to use all premium features of the service, we offer customers a 14 day access and we indicate up front that it will auto renew after the 14 day period and that it can be canceled at any time. The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14-day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. We also send a payment confirmation e-mail stating the date and amount of the auto-renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including via phone, live chat, e-mail and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.

We strive to deliver A+ customer service and apologize for a not-so-great experience. Shortly, you will receive a direct message so we can look into this situation for you. We’ll be in touch soon! Thanks again.

STAY AWAY! Absolutely Horrible! Wish I had read reviews before I created resume, I signed up for the paid trial, cancelled as soon as I printed and forgot about it... TILL I got a bill for $35 on my credit card! Customer service tries to talk you in circles, if you need a refund just hold on for the ride and DEMAND one! I finally got them to agree to a refund, now I just hope it actually comes...

I am going to call my bank to stop any further payments, and I am going to report this company to the Office of the Washington State Attorney General.

I would give it minus stars if I could

I was trying to cancel my subscription and I believe I tried to do that 4 days ago and I thought I was successful but I checked back and I wasn't. So it was on me but I was still hoping if something could be reversed because I had not used my account since I purchased the subscription, hence why I wanted to cancel it and thought I was successful. He was very understanding and still helped me get a partial refund and even offered a discounted 1 month trial for 4.95 so I can keep my account active. I thought that was very kind of him to still accommodate my issue even though I was the clumsy one here, I didn't deserve the benefits but he still offered it to me and I thought that was very kind. His name was Victor Vargas

The templates they have are fine, and yes they state if you buy from them and don't cancel, you get charged ($40!), however I canceled and they still charged. When confronted with this, their customer service flustered and blustered but refused to refund the charge. Hence, I reported their scumbag service to BBB and reported their charge as fraudulent to my credit card company. Stay away from this company, its full of scumbags!

I was looking for a website to build my resume for free. I googled " free resume maker"... the first website that came up was "livecareer.com" it DID say it was free on the google search, BUT at the end the ONLY way to actually download or print your resume you probably spent 30 minutes making is to pay their stupid fee... I didn't... I spent another 30 minutes copy and pasting what they helped me make... so HAHAAA livecareer you ended up not getting my money you liars... if your company wasn't trying to rip people off by auto billing you would probably get more business from repeat users by only billing. 99 cents per build. Instead you create mad customers after ever user builds a resume and then finds out they have NO option to get it free "AS ADVERTISED"! Your company is bad... and mean... THINK ABOUT IT... they need a resume to get a job because they HAVE NO MONEY A$$ holes...

I understand the warning about the 9.99 charge PER WEEK after 14 days. BUT there are people out there that are jobless and are trying to save as much money as they can. What if they totally forgot about the 14 days. An email of phone call would be nice. Also 9.99 FOR WHAT!? What do they do besides making resumes pretty? Do they help you find a job? Do they call you with a representative with job leads? NOPE. THESE PEOPLE ARE DISGUSTING! STAY AWAY!

Skipping past the part about having to sign up for a subscription AFTER you spent time on bulding your "free resume", i signed up for the trial and canceled after i was finished. A few weeks later i am billed $39. I try and log into my account thinking maybe i forgot to cancel, but my password doesn't work. I then contact CS via Live Chat, and that i deactivated my account, which is why i can't log in, but that "deactivating" my account and cancelling my subscription are two different things and that i can't get a refund because "i was well i formed of their policy". When i asked how I'm supposed to cancel my subscription when i have no account access, i received no reply. While the resume builder tool is awesome, the deceptive billing, and the need to sign up for a subscription rather than being able to just pay for the resume makes this site a total rip off. On a side note, who really needs a $39 monthly subscription to build a resume?

AT FIRST DIDN'T LIKE, NOW AS EDUCATED USER AM HAPPY. First used this site trying to get "free resume'" for myself and became frustrated when "free" version didn't come w/ original spacing/design. THEN, used for husband's resume' understanding the value of small payment. LOVED ease of process and GOOD TEMPLATES plus REALLY GOOD TEXT SUGGESTIONS. Used multiple text suggestions that I tweaked and FINAL PRODUCT TURNED OUT GREAT. Downloaded pdf, HTML and work doc version successfully. Completed whole transaction in few hours then cancelled membership that day. Immediately received confirmation of cancellation stating had access for 5 entire days. Called to be certain amount billed and was told it would be the $3.95 originally shown. WOULD USE AGAIN
