I paid for the trial to use a resume template and I knew of the auto-renewing subscription. I attempted to cancel it after I was finished building my resume by clicking on the "cancel subscription" button. While I assumed it had gone through, I have been billed the ridiculous amount of $80 since March. After two attempts and a long wait on the customer service line, I finally reached an agent. I am usually a very understanding person, but the multiple times she dropped the word "you" as if this was entirely my fault really upset me. She said there were many ways for me to cancel my subscription, as if I had known that it didn't go through! Hoping for some compensation, the only thing she could do was return the amount that they were already planning to bill me for the nest period! "Based on the number of days that have passed since my last billing." I will certainly never use them again and I don't know why anyone ever would. There is no value in unlimited resumes for $35 a month. $2 a template makes sense and thats all.

The prorated refund that was processed was a courtesy credit, unfortunately this is the maximum that we can refund.

I visited this cheat site just to polish my resume for $1.95 and 14 days resume subsribtion... or at least this was written with bold letters. Unfortunatelly I did not read remainig text with smaller grey letters, which says that my subscribtion started and it should cost me almost $40 per month. After 3 months I realized that there are strange charges from my credit card for this so called "subscribtion". Durring this 3 months I received just spam mails from livecareer.com and nothing that looks like a service. I did not even entered in their site.
P.S. One star is too much.

Marketing of FREE 14 DAY TRIAL for "LiveCareer - Cover Letter Builder" (product) was clear, concise, and effective. Resource and services it provided, were able to address user's needs (as advertised). Disclaimers to inform customers of RECURRING AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS (following trial period) was not made clear. Disclaimer information appeared to be spread-out in separate, partial statements. If communication of this was complete and visually prominent... on sign-up window... customers would be better informed of binding agreement.

I warn all users to stay away from this website I deleted my account confirmed this with a rep and got charged 3 times for $44 Canadian and the representatives did not offer any compensation or refund, you ;d think cancelling the account and having that confirmed when you clearly say I want to cancel so I'am not charged again would resonate but nope they well continue to bill you for absolutely nothing and you will continually get disconnected trying to explain this to them over chat, they also won't give me any information on when I deleted my account so my credit card company won't even reimbursement.

This helped me revamp my resume. However it quickly turned into a scam. I paid $2 to download a single copy of my resume. The company mislead me by including fine print on the confirmation email for my $2 purchase that they would begin a "14-day trial subscription."
The company keeps your credit card on file and begins to charge you $25 Per month after 14 days. If you didn't read the fine print of the receipt from your $2 purchase, they will charge your card every month. This sounds innocent, but they also do not notify you or contact you AT ALL once this "subscription" is in place. After I received the confirmation for my $2 purchase in April, they never emailed me again—even once I was apparently a paying subscriber. I belong to several subscriptions and they always send at least monthly email promotions/updates. It's clear they wanted to take my money without me noticing. Unfortunately, I did not notice these charges until they already charged over $100 from my bank account, months later.
Only do business with them if you intend to cancel anything they subscribe you to without your explicit consent and feel confident in your ability to do so.
It promised to help me craft my resume. I did not know it would rope me into a misleading subscription.
Quality and price. I was satisfied before being roped into a subscription that I did not consent to or desire.

All seemed well on the initial engagement. Fairly easy to use, looked ok, minor adjustments here and there- the wrong format but I could it edit myself.
I then logged back into finish it after hours of work on a resume/CV and cover letter. They were nowhere to be found. I then was charged again but still no documents. I contacted their live chat and was told I had full access yet they specifically said in their agreement the documents would be available when I logged back in, nothing.
Then I got charged again. I contacted them trying to cancel the subscription and the live chat 'service' was horrific.
Firstly, I never authorised any further payments but they had saved my bank details. Then I was told I couldn't get a refund as their money-back guarantee only applied for the first 14 days during their trial. When I told them I didn't have access to the documents as they stated they said it was because I cancelled the account just now. I had already taken a video of the platform prior to the cancellation where no documents were there after investing not only my money but hours of time into the Resume/CV and cover letter.
Do yourself a favour ask a friend, or use another platform, they'll steal your money and provide you with nothing in return.

To clarify, we offer two types of accounts, the first one being a basic access account that gives you the chance to try out our builder before deciding to purchase our premium features, this account allows you to download a plain text version completely free. We also provide a full access account for a small fee that grants you 14-days to print, email, or download your documents using our copyrighted templates, but these features are NOT listed within the free account.
In addition, we do offer a 100% money-back guarantee for our 14-day trial if you are not satisfied with our services.
Pros: Resume templates are good. Relatively easy to use to quickly create resumes. Keyword suggestions.
Cons: Predatory pricing and software scheme - They bill they you $40 per month after the 14-day trial for $1.95 for but they tell you this up front. But the $1.95 gives you full access to export your files as a Word document.
So then you just think, I'll make a few resume variants, export them to Word and then tweak them there. Sounds fair.
But unfortunately, after you've spent hours on fine tuning your resume and export it to word, you immediately notice that nothing can be changed without screwing up the formatting as the software exports each individual element as an object.
So basically now you're stuck editing within Liveplan and waiting for them to bill you an insane amount.
I contacted customer service and they refused to refund any money and offered me a hack excuse that it is not faulty software and could be the result of many other factors. In any case they offered to manually format the resume for me and I'm now waiting on that.
