The paper work says that you will get you paid amount until 2021. NOT TRUE. TOTAL LIE. If the merchant doesn't want to honor the terms printed on your certificate they don't have too and Local Flavors does not stand behind its written certificate.
Anyone interested in being part of a class action lawsuit? What is written and sold is a Total Lie if the merchant choses not to honor it.
I bought a coupon to $#*!ies bbq in mentor ohio. When i went to redeem it they said they no longer accept them. I sent an email to localflavor telling them what happened and no responce. They are still selling them on the website. SAVE YOUR MONEY
I bought my first certificate only to find out that the place closed. Local flavor told me that the restaurant is re-opening therefore I couldn't get a refund. It also says it's opening in a completely different location and it's not close to me. It's not until sometime next year and who's to say that they will still honor this certificate? But I guess since the policy states that the restaurant is reopening it won't issue a refund. I've unsubscribed from their emails and won't be purchasing from Local Flavor again based on how customer service handled this issue. It should be treated like a closure and therefore my purchase should be refunded. After coming to this site I see that I'm not the only one with this issue. Sounds like it's time to talk to the BBB.
I've never had a problem until now but... went to use a certificate last Saturday and even had to add to our order to meet the value of the certificate. Food was great; HOWEVER, I gave the server the certificate and my card and she quickly came back to tell me they were under new ownership and wouldn't take the certificate. I emailed Local Flavor and all they've offered to refund me is the cost of the certificate. I lost the VALUE of the certificate since I wasn't told until afterwards they wouldn't take it and feel I should be refunded that amount (even provided copy of my receipt). They've denied my request twice -- not sure I'll continue buying from them. As often as I purchase from them... their lost! And, you'd think they'd make an effort to take care of their long-standing customers!
Businesses refuse to accept vouchers with Lical Flavor & yet Local Flavor keeps selling vouchers for these establishments. Their customer service agents are rude & refuse to refund monies due to Businesses that are no longer open. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau.
Bought a coupon for $20 for $40 worth of food for a place in Toms RIver NJ - Roxy's Bar & Grill. Their doors closed on and off since the purchase and recently they have been evicted by the building owner for never making a single payment on their lease or paying their employees for months. When I requested a refund for the $20 they said you're only due $15 here it is and we are closing your case. Now at this point it wasn't about the $5 it was about their disgusting attitude and customer service. When I politely questioned it the response was read the fine print. When I followed up I got this response from someone who calls themselves Supervising Manager Michelle F "My name is Michelle, and I am the Supervising Manager."
"First and foremost, why would you think you are entitled to anything more than what you paid? Second, all promo code disclaimers state that they have no cash value. Before assuming we are doing you an injustice, you are now advised to read your fine print and all disclaimers on your promo code emails. Also, be aware you will only ever be provided a credit or refund for the amount you paid and nothing more! Your feedback has been forwarded, and we are now considering resolving this issue."
She along with everyone else who communicated back have been disgraceful. They also continue to sell the coupon now nearly a month after the eviction notice has been posted on the door by the township. Their response "is we need to do what we do until we're able to verify they no longer exist - we can't worry about that". Praying on suckers who will buy it trying to support a local business but who will also lose money in the end. Oh and there is no fine print on the coupon that says you will take a lost, it does however say Paid Value $20. Attached is the coupon and the eviction notice. Michelle my dear you should find another job more suited to your talents, customer service isn't it, same for the rest of your organization.
I purchased 2 localflavor certificates ($182) for a show at a Dinner Theatre place. My original theater date was for March 13,2019. That show was rescheduled Due to Covid19 virus. The theatre has since the closed and will be until furthur notice. I sent localflavor an email asking it my certificate expiration date would be extended due to the theatre being closed, their response was NO. I sent them another email asking if I would be recieving a refund and again their answer was NO. So how is this possible that they can keep my money and not provide the service I paid for. The dinner theatre has stated that they are not affiliated with localflavor(they are 3rd party) and therefore they are unable to do anything for me
Certificates don't work - you will be wasting your money. Don't both calling them since they do not answer the phone and take a long time to respond by email.
Certificates are NO GOOD. Customer service representatives are stupid monkeys that can't properly resolve things. I will never use this company again.
I have tried calling, emailing without any response. Phone calls always claim higher than normal call volume and to leave a message which they do not return. I think I wasted my money and time.
Answer: Unfortunately it looks like their customer support is shut down or closed with no answers. I had to go to my bank to reject the transaction and get my bank to refund our money for the invalid certificates.
Answer: The number they have is bs as the whole company is. Most merchants say they were tricked and claim they get nothing. This is why merchants often are refusing these vouchers also. Have fun trying to get refund on anything. They were decent early in but not now. Stay clear of anything with these guys...
