I got scammed. I was convinced as per her words in Whatsapp. Later, when I transfer the money to her bank, she ran away without responding to my chat. She didn't give service, rather I was cheated. The sad part - I transferred the money twice (She says her Paytm isn't working and has problems). Don't believe this application and their advertisements. These are full of scammers, who wants to steal your money for their survival.
I am not attaching any material as that will take more time for me!
Being a paid advertiser in the Personals section for many years I know what i'm talking about. Since the closure of craigslist locanto have gotten greedy. Prices for posting have gone up a 7 day paid advert is seen for 1 or 2 days then is buried deep and no more views or responses. They now want you to pay again to move your ad to the top after 2 days. WTF you guys need to change how you do things. So many fake ads and they do nothing about it.
There is seemingly no point in looking at, posting, or responding to ads on Locanto as the site is filled with fake ads and scammers (like so many others have said). The whole thing just feels hollow and lifeless as if it were some abandoned early 2000s site lost to time.
To anyone that uses this site Please be aware that this site is used for the purpose of hookers and scams one of the biggest scams I got was 2 days ago someone claiming to be a police officer and he sent me over to his police chief. Long story short they wanted me to pay $2,000 for a legal case against me to go away and this was about a missing girl. Guys don't fall for this because the police are not going to demand you to pay money about a missing girl they will just come to your door knock it down and arrest you straight up. Anyways I hope this is helpful for people looking for information on this site why this site has not been shut down yet is beyond me say away
Half the people on there are scammers. You report them and nothing happens. Same ad posted in 21 different towns 1000's km apart. Then you post one legit ad and it gets reported and they delete you.but the scammers ads all still there.
Locanto blocked my ads in there respective pages, despite my writing locanto twice i got no response. They are just bad i suggest going with another site for w/e your needs are thats what i did and it worked out... Despite my efforts trying to fix my problem with them. They are very unresponsive to anyone.
This is probably the WORST FREE SITE on the Internet for attempting to meet a person, or find a good/service. I am not sure who runs it, or from where, but after seeing what they offer for free, I sure as hell would NOT "subscribe" to ANY of its features. Even the "people-free" version of Craigslist is a "Step up" to this pathetic site!
Like all dating apps, even this app is completely hijacked by $#*!ty service providers and brokers and I have never met an individual looking for another individual in here. I guess I will never find anyone here. Super frustrating

It is full of re-typed adverts from America, but with your location on them.
Most of them are from Asia as the text is written in poor english.
In a nut shell the adverts are all scams. Fake pics, wrong ph numbers, fake women replying wanting u to join their web site or get a security ID check! Lol
Making it hard for any decent person searching to find someone to be with.

Stay far away from this site. It is created by scammers for scammers. The Locanto "terms of use" are all written as CYA for locanto only. They do not even require their advertisers to be honest or even that they be located in the country that they are claiming to be advertising from. If you get ripped off, Locanto has all of their bases covered. Zero liability for them, 100% for you. They won't even report fraudulent activities. They make you do that too. Someone needs to shut this company down.
It's up to us to be smart and stay away!
I have been trying locanto in the UK for a couple of months but the adverts just don't get seen. They might get seen if they were published but my ads never get published or say pending. It is a waste of time. I have no idea why they bothered to put up a site that offers free adverts when they clearly don't. - Waste of time.
I posted an ad and got responses, but when I give my email it doesn't show it. So I tried writing it without symbols: nothing! Some people don't even get my messages and they answer me angrily for not receiving an answer I did give. It's just $#*!!
Guys she is a fraud, don't pay her, firstly, she will ask for a phone/cam session before meeting for a real one and when u pay her for that (600), then she will ask you payment for accounts manager (300) and after that, just forget about her, you won't get any kind of attention though she may or may not block you but she won't reply properly.

I've tried selling stuff on this site, not much luck. SInce the Craigslist site personals went belly up, the spammers found a new place to roost. Unless you have a fake site that is OK to get a LOT of spam, don't even post here.

They will post a paid ad in no time with your phone number if you want. However a free ad does not get posted even after multiple emails sent to their support. Additionally if they tell what is wrong (which is rare) and you correct it then they may post it. However posting the ad at a later date with all the same text will not get posted and no response from support. Pay for it and it gets posted immediatly.
My humble request you, avoid visiting and spending money, because this is a fraud site, I have lost my *******/- because of this site. They force you to pay and don't even refund your money. Its totally fraud.
The ads in this site are published to cheat people... all are fake and they try to get the money deposited for services which they promise to render such as body massage, escort service... and so on and so forth.

The Account number in ICICI bank ************** with chaitanya infotech at chennai is being used for cheating and other mal practices...

I contacted the girl called Alisa who is based in Sutton. She only wanted to meet for sex. She wanted me to pay her with iTunes gift cards so her daughter could be distracted whilst we were supposed to be together. This week I tried to meet her but she said she was £100 in debt. I don't know if she is real but she is definitely a fake advert.
I already deposit some of my money to one of their advertiser. The girl from the advertise is fake. She even asking for more even I deposit. If we don't follow their request she will block you lol even we depo what she ask. Such a nice trick $#*!ttt
