This site is incredible. I use it all the time to access my computer at home from work. Never had issues. It's fast and reliable. They also provide really good apps for android and iphone. Highly recommend.
10 months are remaining on my year-subscription. Unlike most services, LogMeIn will not refund the next 10 months that we will not be using the subscription. Customer for many years. Clunky software and the service is even worse. Hung up on me the first time that I called to cancel.
Be careful if you have sensitive information on the computer you setup for remote access. Our hosting logins were used to plant spam apps on two of our domains. The only computer that had that info and had any kind of outside access was the one accessible via logmein.com. I can't say that it was due to logmein.com - only that I can't find any other explanation for the breach.
As a precaution, we won't use their software in the future.
I've been a logmein user for years. It's always worked well for what I need it for and I like the features where you can just send someone a link to screenshare without them having to get logmein. Sometimes it's a little buggy and locks you out of your computer though.
My account came up for auto renew and I was not notified. Not only did they not notify me but they charged my credit card $839.99. The problem is my original card that I used for Logmein was compromised. Somehow they got my new number from a third party, not Capital One.
First of all I do not believe in 'auto renew' just for this reason. A company should have to make contact and get approval for renewal. The second thing is they circumvented the system to get my new credit card. Maybe they were hoping that I don't pay attention to my credit card statements? I checked my credit card transaction daily and noticed this charge.
I am supposed to have a credit within 15 days. Another question is why it takes 15 days? It only takes seconds to charge my card and it should only take a matter of minutes to reverse the charge.
I ordered the free version... forgot my home password and was shut out. Never able to connect with the company to rectify. Call the 800 help number and refered to Help.logmein.com. Site does not exist. Try calling the *******790 and see for your self. Even when i indicated i was a paying customer i was on hold for 47minutes before i gave up. Who's in charge over there?
1. They do not tell you when installing the free trial that it will not work properly on a machine that has already run the free trial and converted to a paid version. I was using my work PC to get a free trial for myself personally. They had to delete the account I created so it didn't show up on my work pc any more.
2. I was told that I cannot see my work PC under my own subscription (free or paid) because it is already under my boss' paid subscription. They have given me permission to view it, under their subscription, but I cannot get to it via my own subscription.
We originally started with LMI when it was free. Then they started to charge us $200 per year and that was fine. Then the next year, they bumped our annual cost from $200 per year to $1500 per year.
We grittingly agreed to those charges even though we saw zero difference in the 200 dollar version.
Now, after our third year with LogMeIn, they want over $6000 per year for the same dang thing! What the hell are they thinking! These price hikes are highway robbery. I had to cancel that service immediately and will not recommend it to anyone.
What a waste of time it was to install it on all our remote PCs only to get sucked into these price hikes! Terrible business planning in on LogMeIn's side.

Me an my girlfriend used Logmein for little under a year when she was living abroad. We were very satisfied and It was easy to understand and user friendly.
When our subscription auto updated (a while after we finished using it) - we explained that it was a mistake and that we were not planing to use the service in the future, and they simple refunded and canceled our subscription - we were very happy with the treatment.
I just get charged $150 for the service for two computers.
They charged me $50 in 2014, $100 in 2015 and now the are charging me $150 for 2016.
I'm done with this Thiefs! There is plenty other services like this and much cheaper. They are charging over the weekend and there is nobody to pick up the phone, and you can't cancel the service online! I hope that their greed will take them to the bankruptcy!
This program is constantly frustrating, despite ensuring that the target computer is switched on it is frequently impossible to log in. The online suggestions are useless. Do not use this program. Find something beter

I am in the field unable to connect to my computer because they required a password reset (some sort of security issue)! These wiz kids had the password change confirmation sent to the computer I am trying to access. I will have to tell the client I'll be back tomorrow. Don't you love technology.
Thanks guys for pointing out this website, I downloaded the app to my iPhone but it cost me $35! I think that is a rip off, BUT, I can now log directly on to my work PC from anywhere in the world from my phone. That is priceless.
Horrible they get you to agree to auto renewal at one price and then double it without authorization the next year! And when I called they were rude rude. Doing a chargeback and want a class action against them! You can not charge whatever you want without authorization. When I told the rude customer service man that he said yes we can. They need to be fined and pay all the customers back! We need a class action lawyer!
Of course they won't refund, prorate, cancel or in any way support their users. They only care about paying for their in-house gyms, penthouse offices, meetings in the tropics, etc. Look at their website - these are the things they are most proud of. These folks live in a different world than most of us. They are ending support for XP - they live in a world where buying a few new $1000 computers to replace the XP machines would come out of petty cash. You can't expect them to care about your $99 or $150 or $600 subscription - you aren't worth it.
I and my colleagues should use LogMeIn in our work. LogMien is a program that lags every time. When I just open a desktop application I have to wait for 2-3 minutes (I'm not joking. Wait for 3 minutes just to see PCs search line). Sometimes it lags and the program is not responding so need to kill it via task manager. Sometimes you connect to an online PC and LMI says you that this PC is offline. Sometimes LogMeIn is installed on the PC but it is not seen in our system - this is another LogMeIn bug.
By the way. I've sent several tickets to LogMeIn support and they never responded me. All I got is an automatic reply from them like "Your ticket number is *******". And we pay money to LogMeIn? For what? For such service and such a product? I'm very disappointed and never ever recommend you to use LOGMEIN
This companies new direction is awful, they charges me huge amounts of money without telling me, and refused to give any refunds. They went from charging 199$ to 1499$, completely rediculous and will not give back a cent.
All IT people should boycott this disaster of a company, use something like ScreenConnect and host it online with Amazon, Rackspace, Godaddy, MS Azure for 20$ a month. Much better more reliable, and Won't raise rates and rip you off.
When LogMeIn purchased Citrix's GoTo products they modified the terms of services and removed the Termination for Convenience clause without notifying customers. Now you cannot cancel your account after your yearly renewal date; you're stuck for another year. The GoTo products are good, but extremely overpriced compared to competitors.
I discovered logmein via a scam phonecall which directed me to a site which redirected me to their site. Checkng out the logmein site I'm amazed that they have offices in so many countries, also that they have several offices in Bangalore. My initial scam call came from India, but the sound of it. It might be an honest company but I am very wary. I am even more wary because the positive reviews here don't seem real to me.
We have been using GotoMeeting which we get through Logmein for many years. We decided to cancel our subscription on February 25 and I spoke with Robert Irwin our account manager. The service is way too expensive and we have switched to ZOOM which is SO MUCH BETTER! Two days later on February 27 we were charged $831.93 for the month of March. I called and complained that we had cancelled our service and was told they would refund our money. That didn't happen and again on March 30 they took another $831.93 out of my checking account. I called and emailed and complained again and they said it would stop and they would refund the money. They didn't refund the money and today they took another $823.24 out of my account for the month of May. I have called the bank to see if they can stop these payments. I like to believe that people are honest and are going to do what they say as far as cancelling our service but these people are theives.
I cancelled subscription three months in and was not able to get a prorated amount since they decide they want to collect a year in advance. I don't think I should have to pay for their pay structure. Not satisfied. I have been a customer for 7 years, but won't be back.
Good product that is way over priced. But just try to cancel! They F you over. I got the nicest lady on the phone, of course we'll cancel and provide you with a prorated refund. I actually got the refund, but then they charged me a month later the same amount they refunded. What a bunch of a__holes. I'm back on the phone with them right now and missing an important meeting. They make it extremely hard to cancel and when we asked them about a charge they did not get back to us for weeks. They then told us they couldn't locate the charge anywhere and to file a dispute with the cc company. We did, but it got denied when they suddenly provided the cc company with the charge info that they were 'unable' to locate for us.
Scamming automatic renewal at more than double the price. I received no notification of renewal or of price increase. Last year they tried the same thing, but when I called them they gave me a refund 'honoring the previous year rate.' This year they raised the rate from $250 to $350 (plus taxes). Escalated refund request and they refunded $320 of the $367.49 that they charged.
They want one to select a star system for a rating. Only one problem. There are no MINUS FIVE stars. Not sure where to even start or end with this subject. My OCR FREE software did not work and I stupidly allowed them to ATTEMPT installation. FIVE installations and not one worked. During this process, I, like and idiot, allowed them to take control of my computer. The next day, a number of my programs were GONE and some others did not work correctly. If you are considering using this service, in a word, "RUN"
Their subscription practices are underhand to say the least. Sign up for a year. No cancelation. Fine. However, at the end of the year, they do not alert you to the roll over new period. Cancel second year. Good luck! They will try to force you to continue paying for an entire year even though you are not using their service. A business like this will not thrive. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. LITTERALLY!
I bought Hamachi Standart Licence in 2020 from Logmein company. My licence expired in 2021, but there isnt a cancel section about auto renewal, so I couldn't stop renewing Hamachi Standard subscription. Then they renewed my subscription without my confirmation. Before renewing subscription, I closed my credit card's all shopping permissions, but I saw they received 56 euros from my credit card due to this. I offer you, don't buy any product from this company, because this company only thinks about your money, they are scammer and thief.
